The room was sold to guests without repairing the broken facilities-the shower drain is severely clogged. In the second day, The owner kindly offered to move to another room, but the hairdryer was broken. It's a real pity that such a good location doesn't have good maintenance.

Second time we stay. And, there was no hot water both times we stay. Morning manager blame us for not calling maintenance. and not even offer an apology.

Great location near Union Station.

The only amenities were a mildew-reeking water dispenser and a sign on the ice machine telling us to go to a different floor for ice. We didn't. The bathroom floor was sticky. Carpets in the halls were blackened with filth in spots (especially near the elevator. The smell in the room was mild, but unpleasant. Overall, our experience was so disappointing that we changed the second night to a different hotel not minding the $40 increase.

I needed a place to stay that was close to the train station and this hotel was within walking distance It is more like a glorified flop house than a motel worth the price. Outside and inside are dingy and worn down. Room was grungy. Phone, tv and electrical outlets didn't work correctly. Sketchy neighborhood with a lot of noise during the night.

We stayed here because of its proximity to Union Station. We were taking the Dodger bus to the stadium It’s an easy 2 block walk. Indoor parking was only $5 for our entire 3 night stay. It was also manned. The rooom was clean but the hallway carpets were pretty dirty. The front desk staff could have been friendlier.

The staff at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. If you need a little extra time past the checkout time of 12 PM, they will allow you to stay for free up to 1 PM. Keep in mind that this is a budget hotel and it’s not the Ritz Carlton. It’s safe and secure. I would not go out after dark. It’s safe to walk around in the daytime. It’s a convenient six minute walk from the Los Angeles Union train station. The beds were very hard and extremely firm. It’s advisable to wear earplugs when you sleep because the early morning traffic can be very loud. The room was comfortable and clean.
- 3/5
It was okay. The room was a little dated and the outlets didn't work well (they were very loose) especially when it came to charging my phone. The location is convenient when one must catch an early Amtrak train in the morning but I would not recommend staying in this part of LA if you're not looking to be close to the Union Station.

This was my second time staying at this hotel for a visit to Olvera Street, Union Station, and Chinatown, all within a few minutes' walk. The parking is a great deal and very safe. In spite of all the homeless people on the streets, I did feel safe at this hotel and will stay here again. They provided coffee and tea 24 hrs/day. The room was spotlessly clean with nice amenities. The cleaning staff were all very accommodating and courteous. Prices of hotels are ridiculously overpriced, but the Metro provides great service, a convenient location, and safety at a more reasonable price.

Booked entirely based on last minute availability and proximity to the Union bus station. It was clean. I doubt it has been refurbished in the last 30 years. The sign in the lift warned of refurbishment happening… it was dated 2023, so evidently not happening at speed. Can’t imagine using for anything other than a bed for the night.
- 4/5
Excellent location, clean room. The building is run down, the hallway carpets were a mess. They appear to be renovating the place so it hopefully will look better in a couple months. Rough neighborhood but extremely convenient to Union Station, Olvera Street, Chinatown and Dodger Stadium.

Good location for our needs, close to Chinatown and Union Station. Comfortable bed, linen was fresh and clean. Very run down and in need of major refurbishment. Room was very tired, painting coming off ceiling, wallpaper dirty, curtains dirty and room stunk of cigarette smoke.

Clean room with easy parking. Very close walk to union station and Olvera street. Our go to hotel for dodgers games.

Very good centrally located hotel with Pleasant staff and a nice comfortable room. We enjoyed walking around the area, including Chinatown, Hispanic area, where there was a fiesta, and little Tokyo. Union Station, which is just a couple of blocks away, was a great place to start our trip around Los Angeles. Amtrak was great.

For the price point, this is 10/10 spot. Downtown, right by the union station, light traffic, light homelessness, easy ways in and out, parking was reasonable and had an attendant who helped us, room was clean and comfortable, had a great experience all the way around.

Hotel is under renovation and is in much need of it. Carpets in the common area and in the room are filthy - stains everywhere. Bathroom in our room had been renovated, but there was virtually no hot water in the shower. Brand new faucet on the lavatory came right off when I lifted the handle. TV had only one channel that worked. Bedding was very tired. Clean but the pillows were flat. Only thing I can really say positive is that its right across the street from the train station which was convenient for us for the one night we needed while waiting to transfer trains.

Check in late at night was quick and efficient. The next day I had a late night Amtrak to catch. With plenty of time to kill, the hotel held my bags while I explored the area. Old hotel can use some upgrades. Okay for an overnight stay. Location close to Union Station is a plus
- 3/5
The room was clean. Seems like they’re working on renovations. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good short term stay.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and affordable at $5 per day. Bathtub was a bit worn looking along with the rest of the room. Great location, very walkable to park and some restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
Rooms kept clean. Quick access to Olvera Street and Union station as well as Chinatown. Short drives to Little Tokyo and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Staff were quick to respond to questions. Security is kept in mind at all times. The 24 hr lobby was great for concert nights that ran a little over due to musician meet and greet.
- 3/5
I liked that it was so close to Union Station, so I just walked to the hotel instead of having to get a taxi there and incur another expense. I liked that it had a mini fridge. It was old, the bed was uncomfortable, the comfortable was thin and ugly, laps were broken, the tub was dirty. It’s not upkeep. In short, it looks like a homeless shelter.

The location, right by Union Station, can't be beat! Rooms were very recently updated, and are huge, with comfortable beds. Lobby and exterior facilities could use a bit of work.
- 3.5/5
Great location near Union Station and Metro. If you are headed to Dodger Stadium, the free Dodger Express bus leaves out front Union Station. Super fast elevators. Fridge in room. While carpets in hallways are visibly soiled and worn, the rooms are very clean if a tad bit dated and frayed. NO SAFE! I’m not a mattress freak, but this mattress is at least 25 years old and WILL send a mattress freak into convulsions. No soap dispensers
- 1/5
I had looked at the photos of the hotel and the amenities it claimed to offer; imagine my surprise when we arrived and found that it bore absolutely no resemblance to the images shown on the website. Furthermore, there were extra charges added for parking upon check-in, and—contrary to what was advertised—there was no continental breakfast provided. But the saddest and most disappointing aspect of all was simply how filthy the place was and the poor, unkempt appearance it presented.
- 3/5
Good location and price, great secure parking convenience really $5, not valet but quick in and out. Room pretty good but needs new capeting especially hallways

- 2/5
Our shower had only cold water. Not a good way to endear the place to guests. The room had a musty smell to it.
- 3/5
Dated hotel, but nice for the price. Overall an enjoyable convenient experience.
- 4/5
This is a basic stay, but affordable and great access to Union Station and location for Dodgers stadium. The hotel is in need of an upgrade, but felt safe and secure for the area. Great taquitos across the street!
- 4.5/5
Excellent place for train riders like us. A short time stay but convenient and comfortable.
- 4/5
The room smelt a bit musty as if the shower wasn’t vented, and the furniture was clearly not new, but it was a good nights sleep at a good price.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, plenty of parking and good air conditioning
- 3.5/5
The lobby staff was friendly and attentive. All of the hallways and public areas have security cameras that are monitored. Sure everything felt a little outdated but it was clean and everything in the room worked like it was supposed to. A/C froze our butts off, it was great! ??? Absolutely will stay again I was very unhappy that I could not find anything to complain about (Just kidding, this website wants you to write something in this space)
- 5/5
Great location. No problems at all!
- 4/5
Parking is available in the property garage for an extra $5.00 per night. I like the place for its central location with easy access to public transportation to the Music Center for opera, symphony, and plays.
- 5/5
The prices n the stuff the cleaning
- 4/5
Location Outlets, few and hard to find, furnishings quite dated.
- 5/5
Surprised as hotel renovation is great. Whole new bathroom with newly painted walls and comfy bed. Have an easy to adjust heat or air conditioner. Staff was friendly, gal at desk gave great directions. Close to restaurant, a mom and pop from 1908 around corner. Breakfast or dinner. Mexican alley nearby with shops and lunch. Had a garage and security on grounds.
- 4/5
After the long train ride from Seattle to LA Union Staition, the bed were outstanding. I slept comfortably
- 1/5
The photos show a tall modern building, which turns out to be a random building in the area. Another building in the listed photos is the area post office, again not related to the hotel. The actual hotel is a dump with filthy stained carpets, super hard, uncomfortable beds, and not a single chair in the room to sit in, even though photos show chairs, couches, and even a small table and chairs. The photos also show a breakfast area, but that doesn't exist either. When we tried to check in, we had to have a man in the parking garage help to track down the front desk person so we could check in. The hotel was in a very sketchy, run down part of Chinatown. I would never return there again.
- 3/5
This establishment should only be used in desperation like having a budget and you are stranded. It’s below average in all aspects except for the staff. Its proximity to union station is its only advantage.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and the location is convenient. Hotel is a little outdated but clean.
- 3/5
Visibly worn throughout the property.
- 4/5
Close to downtown LA.
- 1/5
In the first room I was assigned, the shower was clogged and started filling up with water the first time I turned it on. And the room's door didn't actually lock - you could just push it open. It looked like it had been pried open previously. I asked for a change, and the staff quickly and kindly gave me a new room. The new room smelled terrible, but at least the shower drained and the door locked!
- 5/5

- 4/5
I understand they are remodeling the hotel, so the carpets on the hall are really old and dirty. However the staff is really sweet and approachable from cleaning ladies to the recepcionista. A man would always receive us at the door when we got at night with uber.
- 4/5

Convenient, just 2blocks from Union Station. With a lift, clean and comfortable room, quiet area, next to Olvera market and 15-20 min walk to Disney Hall, Broad Museum. Lots of food places nearby, try Philippe's next door. Friendly staff. None
- 2/5
The place was pretty run down in all the common areas. Our room had a busted screen, minor trash on the floor, no hot water in the shower and a non functional TV. The bed was ok and the linens and towels were clean, as was the bathroom. We won’t being going back there.
- 5/5
Very nice, no hot water due to renovation
- 3.5/5
The location is perfect for getting to and from Union Station, which was what we needed to do. It is located in the oldest part of Los Angeles, next to historic Olvera Street and the Mexican Markett. There are several fascinating free small museums and sites to see a block or three away. We enjoyed learning a lot about LA - sights included the Avila Adobe from 1818, the America Tropicale Mural, the Mexican Embassy; the Chinese American Museum and more, of course multiple light rail lines fan out from Union Station (which is itself worth seeing) so it is as central as central can be. With great churros! The hotel is an older building, very solidly built. Elevators are FAST. Staff is lovely, but the facility is showing its age. Scrupulously clean, however, with very comfortable beds, big spaces, fresh tile work in the barmthroom, and big windows that opened as well as strong a/c and fan. "They don't make tem like this any more." People who want cute and hip won't like it. N9 Keurig, you throw on your sundress or sweats and fkio flops and hrad to the lobby where good coffee is available 24 hours a day. People who want safely, value, convenience, a family feeling, licated in a fun urban village, and lots of space, will find it just great, like we did. It can't be helped, there are homeless people around Union Station. The Metro Plaza is very secure. We had no difficulties walking around and felt perfectly safe in the hotel. But it's not for everyone.
- 2/5
Parking is $5/day.
- 5/5
Easy walk from train station.

Conveniently located, the hotel is about 30 minutes away from LAX Airport. The cost of Uber to Airport was about $50 for a early morning flight (3:30AM)
- 4/5
It was okay
- 4/5
A go-to location in downtown LA walking distance from LA Union Station. The property is secure and have never been hassled by the small number of street people after dark while walking from the station or to dinner in Chinatown,
- 2/5
Pros: allowed early check-in, 2 blocks from Central (train) station, cheap, room was very dated but pretty clean. Cons: hotel exterior, interior, halls, carpet… were bad. The shower had a trickle of hot water and a slow drain. No amenities
- 4/5
It was ok for two nights. Its a bit old and you can tell by the layout of the rooms. Has water dispensers. Its three blocks away from union station. So getting there is easy on public transportation. Some shady characters around the streets.
- 1/5
The entire hotel had a terrible smell. The bedsheets in the room also had a bad smell, was very uncomfortable. Basic amenities throughout.
- 2/5
If it wasn’t for the Mexican Ladies cleaning this place..it would be hell.
- 4.5/5
The location is ideal for navigating greater LA. Big rooms. It’s a steal from the price point.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Clean room, but the whole floor smelled like marijuana.
- 3/5
Parking, location, and ice. Shower never warmed up, rugs are worn out, bedding is old, and view outside sucks.
- 4/5
Stayed here a few times, we like to stay here, perfect location, close to union station and restaurants!
- 4/5

- 3/5
The room was clean and the water was hot. The location is very convenient to Union Station and Olivera Street, and China Town. But no place to hang clothes, coffee maker or microwave. Common areas are well past their prime. No store to buy a beer close by. I would stay here again.
- 5/5

- 3.5/5
Great location for Union Station, beds were clean and comfy, bathroom was clean. Yes it’s old but good value
- 3/5
location excellent for Union Station Lighting was a bit dull
- 5/5
The hotel is on the border of China Town so the food was fantastic. The receptionist recommended "MaMa Lu's" just around the corner which was very tasty - although the restaurants shut at 9pm sharp. The hotel is a stone's throw from Union Station and there is a direct, cheap airport transfer shuttle straight to Union Station. 3 MILES FROM TEH la CONVENTIN cENTRE BUT i WLAKED IN TEH EARLY MORNING TO AVOID THE HEAT
- 4/5
This place is a little dated and a little dingy, but it's not disgusting and the place was extremely quiet and the AC absolutely cranked for four days straight and kept my room an ice box! Parking staff is okay and front staff as well. TV didn't work in my room, but I didn't even try it until my last night, so I didn't care. Bed was comfy and shower was hot.
- 5/5
I liked how it was relatively close to Dodger Stadium, and the hotel also had roof top views which was nice. And the water near the elevator were extremely cold and was very good for LA weather. The hotel had a couple floors that had attractions like a gift shop but it seem like it was under construction when I was there. Other than that theirs really nothing to complain about it’s a nice hotel.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and close to union station.
- 4/5
Very convenient to reach from the Union train station. Large room size. The streets nearby can be scary to walk alone. A lot of homeless around the union train station. Stinks outside although not in the room. The TV was not working.

For the $, and the proximity to an event I was going to…it served its purpose. It’s in definite need of an update, but the room was clean and th staff were friendly. No muss, no fuss check in and out. You’re literally around the corner from Olivera Street.
- 4/5
The Mexican restaurant next door was very good.

Very clean, great deal
- 5/5
Honestly a good cheap place for downtown LA and a good spot in between Chinatown, Little Tokyo, City Hall, and the Mexican Plaza. They are under construction right now. The prices honestly matched what I was expecting, so no surprise there. I hope even after they finish constuction, that theh keep prices low/reasonable. New Air conditioning/heating system in the room.
- 5/5
Went on a Monday. Staff greeted us friendly. Their parking is in a garage. We have a truck which had a lot of valuables in the bed of the truck, but thankfully they have lots of surveillance so I did not feel bad about leaving my valuables in the bed of my truck in the garage. The whole hotel had a slight smell, but wasn’t too unpleasant. Restroom and room were a good size. We had a window that viewed a lot of the city which we enjoyed.

Location was great- walking distance from the train station which we wanted. Also a short walk to Olvera market which is a great Mexican market with lots of great shops and food vendors. Hotel is in the midst of renovations and the bathroom was nicely upgraded and bed was ok. Room was clean. Downside is that noise travels in this hotel so if you are a light sleeper and are sensitive to door slamming or people talking loudly in hallways you might not want to stay here. The staff though were great and very welcoming.

It was exactly what we wanted. Something inexpensive and walking distance from Union Station. It is clearly old, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The room I was in was nice, except for the shower head and the safe that was was malfunctioning. Bottom line: unless you need to stay right next to Union station, try finding some place nicer to stay. Glad I only spent one night there.

It might not seem like the fanciest place in the world to some people. Not many outlets. But the bathroom was huge. The decor was nice.

The rooms are clean but the hotel is badly in need of an update/refresh.
- 5/5
Location is great. Rooms themselves are clean and large enough. Good price. Convenient parking
- 5/5
the area is very accessible to tourist spots and Asian restaurants.
- 3/5
It's within walking distance of Union Station, they will hold your luggage, and the room appeared overall clean. The heat worked. The room was quiet. The building is being renovated, the room carpet is hopefully the next thing on the replace list as it's really frightening, and the two women at the front desk ignored us when we said thank you at check out. lol a mixed bag but we'd return.
- 4/5
Easy access to Union Station
- 5/5
Not really its all good thanks
- 5/5

- 3/5
The room was fine. The bathroom seemed to have recently been updated. There was plenty of space in the room, also. Parking was inexpensive and seemed to be patrolled. However, the neighborhood is very sketchy. I felt safe walking to restaurants, my wife not so much.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice & hotel was a good location
- 5/5
Excelente todo rl persona
- 1/5
The entrance and lobby are dingy. The elevator had a sign saying construction would start 2 and 1/2 years ago, the carpets in the floors were torn and there were holes in the wall. Part of the floor was roped off including a fire door. The room was large but very basic and the plumbing pressure was irregular. Would not stay again.
- 4/5
- 2/5
Half of the items in the room and around the hotel were broken. Fire alarm went off at midnight for no reason. Staff is very strange about parking. Room is dirty. The only plus about this place is it’s location
- 5/5
The start were incredibly attentive. The location was great, super close proximity to where I had to be.
- 4/5
Spacious room with tv, fridge, and safe. Unfortunately, there is no coffee maker in the room and the breakfast room has been eliminated. The bathroom is likewise roomy. I have chosen this hotel multiple times because of its closeness to Union Station, LA public transportation, and the Music Center
- 5/5
Spotless and courteous so very kind best experience ever in a hotel
- 5/5
Good staff
- 5/5
Great location, close to Union Station and China Town. Welcoming staff and checkin was excellent. Thank you.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but worn. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was right for us as we were headed to dodger stadium, we walked to union station and took the dodger express for frr. The taco shop nextdoor had good food. The parking was only $5 a night had had good security. Would stay here again if going to a dodger game.
- 5/5
This is an aging but safe and economical city hotel convenient to Union Station, Chinatown, historic sites pertaining to early Mexican immigration and business-founding, and the legendary Philippe’s French dip sandwich restaurant (which was hopping as LA Dodgers fought for their second consecutive World Series title!). Great location for Dia de Los Muertos too with celebrations/dance taking place a short walk away. I had to rent a car for 24 hours and was pleased to use economical covered parking right next door.
- 5/5
Perfect stay for a Dodger game. Right across the street from Union Station with Dodge express
- 5/5
Cleans and lowkey
- 2/5
Yes
- 3/5
The staff was wonderful. I was checked into my room in a timely manner. Close proximity to Union Station and Olvera Street was a huge plus. My main concern is that the public carpet in the hotel hallways are long overdue for a change and upgrade. They are noticeably dingy.
- 3/5
This is a no frills hotel but was competent enough at that. The housekeeping was competent and the staff polite. The location is pretty convenient - an easy walk to Olvera St and Union Station, and walkable to Little Tokyo and Chinatown. We were in the redone part of the hotel so it was a bit nicer than other parts but it was clear walking down the hotel that other parts may be more worn/shabby (you can see the walls). The room is also a bit dark with no overhead light and only a small window and the amenities basic. For instance there is a desk area but there are seating cubes rather than a chair and no luggage racks to open your suitcases on (we used the seating cubes to rest our luggage on but this meant nowhere to sit). There is hanging space (though few coat hangers) and an upper shelf space but no drawers. I wasn't a huge fan of the shower system which didn't allow you to control water pressure or stand away from where the water was falling while it warmed up. But these were very minor issues and all in all it was a comfortable stay with major issues such as cleanliness, location and the competence and reliability of staff all to what we expected for the price.
- 3/5
Otherwise - thoroughly adequate.
- 1/5
Hotel overall was in very poor condition
- 3/5
Room was clean but carpets in hallway were in poor condition and decor a bit dated. Would be a great little hotel with some renovations. Staff was nice and location was good for where I was going, the Bluejays game at Dodgers stadium. Close to Union station which was convenient.
- 3/5
Very old announcements (from 2023) still up on the walls. Beds were hard, pillows were not soft.
- 4/5
No issues over than my room key wouldn’t work
- 3/5
The staff we great, the room was clean, the tiles in the bathroom were held together by masking tape, the hotel is very dated.
- 4/5
Perfect location! Not a full five stars due to cleanliness
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Friendly staff, clean but dated rooms with extremely poor soundproofing and old steel spring mattresses. A reasonable quick overnight stay close to Union Station for the cost.
- 4/5
Convenient area, good pricing tbh, not the best looking but would get the job done, smooth and quick check in/out
- 3/5
You habe to pay $5 for parking. I thought that would have been included. It was next to a night club so they didn't stop partying till 3am. I'll never stay there again. The photos look better then the actual place.
- 4/5
Room was clean, close to union station, Chinatown, and Little Tokyo. Nice Mexican place just outside for good food.
- 4/5
2. Walking distance from metro and train station and is good if you don't have a car. 3. Very near to a Mexican street with lots of street shopping and dining options in the street. But it closes at 6PM(not sure on all days) 4. Bit of walking from the Fly away bus drop point, but you can easily walk if there is not much luggage. Walking with luggage was a bit difficult though as it is not a flat area and footpatha were not well maintained
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay! The early check in was much appreciated.
- 5/5
Great big room! Staff was great! Great location to Union Station for LAX Airport Bus and Dodgers Express Bus to Dodgers Stadium. Good security always watching out and making sure guests are OK. Few homeless between Union Station and Metro Plaza.
- 4/5
Property is clean and spacious.. Staff efficient and courteous. Location close to union station. I would stay there again.
- 2/5
Everyone was so nice the hotel is just not in good shape.
- 4/5
This hotel is good for a one night stay.
- 4/5
Could be more clean, great stay, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, not bad for what was paid.

el hotel muy deteriodado , al salir de los elevadormuy mal olor , las the nas de los baños 😪en fin economico pero malito
- 5/5
Thank you.
- 5/5
Walking distance to/from LA Union train station. Convenient for us to stay one night.
- 5/5
Ok
- 3/5
Very dated hotel in a not great area but location is what we were focused upon. Very close to Union station and Olavera street. Philippe’s famous restaurant just down the block. Common areas below average but room and bed were clean.
- 4/5
Super convenient to Union Station and Olvera Street.
- 4/5
Very nice new bathroom. Rest of room OK but dated. Carpet at.elevator very dirty. Close walk to Union Station.
- 3/5
The hotel is serviceable and conveniently located to Union Station. Could not get hot water to work in my shower.
- 5/5
Staff was nice.close to union station.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly
- 3/5
Adequate room close to Union Station which is its main selling point. There is a coffee machine in reception but no breakfast as indicated on Expedia.
- 5/5
Wonderful!
- 3/5
Hotel room was clean but halls and common areas are very worn. Place under revision so think I got an updated room.
- 2/5
Terrible area full of poor people sleeping in the street. No one in reception for over 30 minutes. One very tired, older man trying to be helpful while acting as security. Filthy carpets, tired paint in hallways and reception. Not recommended. Bathroom clean and upgraded but a very sad hotel in need of an entire overhaul.
- 4/5
This hotel is across the street from LA's Union Station and a very easy walk to the Philippe's Sandwich shop with the French onion dip beef sandwiches. I'm told lots of folks that attend Dodgers games stay here. I took the FlyAway bus from LAX ($12.75) then walked over from the train station. I was due to catch an Amtrak train the next day and this was the closest hotel to the station. The downstairs lobby is very basic and utilitarian. The desk attendant got me checked in quickly. The hotel is definitely worn, but they seem to be doing some cosmetic upgrades. I had a 3rd floor room with a king bed that included a small fridge, iron, hair dryer, and some toiletries (soap/shampoo). The TV had all the standard cable channels. The bathroom shower was upgraded with a glass enclosure and rain shower head. When I got off the elevator on the 3rd floor there was an ice machine and a water cooler to fill up my water bottle. For what I paid, it was well worth it and so convenient to get to the train station. If you need an economical place to crash, this place will certainly do.
- 4/5
Hotel itself needs a little love and a bit of a makeover HOWEVER, the staff is REALLY great and my room was clean. Air conditioner worked really well. When I arrived, the safe in my room wasn’t working and the staff sent an extremely kind and polite service person to fix it VERY quickly. All my interactions with the staff were great.
- 5/5
It was cozy and quiet.
- 1/5
Checked in & bathroom was not cleaned then AC Not working so needed to move rooms
- 5/5
Free shuttle to/from lax which is very close. Very friendly staff. Nice hotel/room.
- 5/5
The hotel was just what we needed as we were boarding a trin first thing the next day. The check in was smooth, room was clean and acceptable, a little bigger than we expected. The bathroom had a good shower. The hotel is looking a bit dated but I believe they are doing some renovations soon. We expected this to be the case before we booked and were happy that we stayed here.
- 3/5
Only stayed here given proximity to Union Station. Very sketchy locale and property
- 3/5
Near to the Union Station.
- 5/5
This is the perfect catalyst if going to Airport next day, going to Dodgers game, Chinatown, Union Station, Little Tokyo. It will serve you well, it has everything to give you a cozy stay.
- 2/5
Picture of property is not what you get.
- 3/5
Hotel is in bad neighborhood. Security concerns. Cleanliness concerns. Parking as cheap.
- 4/5
By far, the cleanest hotel in this price range we saw in California! A bit noisy because of the highway but nice hotel. No fridge. Great location and safe and unexpensive parking.
- 3/5
Older but staff was great.
- 4/5
Other than this incident, we had a pleasant stay. I was told to reach out to hotels.com by the front desk of this hotel, which I'm going to do here after this review.

Nice and convenient if you want to stay near Chinatown/Union Station. All of Chinatown is within walking distance and the area didn't feel dangerous even at night (but use caution at night just like any city). Union Station was also within walking distance, which made it very convenient to use Flyaway to/from LAX and the Dodger express to the stadium. The room I stayed in was newly renovated so it was pretty nice, but the hallways and common areas were rundown and dirty. I believe they're going through renovations though. Also, I stayed a Saturday and Sunday night, and both nights there was loud music coming from down the street all night long. I think it was from the Korean bbq place around the corner. It was annoying so if you're a light sleeper make sure to bring earplugs. There was no breakfast, but just down the street is Philippe's, which was very good. There was also a mini fridge in the room but no microwave, which I thought was odd. Overall a good place to sleep if you're coming in for an event at the stadium.
- 5/5
This was a very nice hotel! very clean and wonderful! i reccomend staying here for any concerts!
- 2/5
A sign in the elevator states ongoing construction..from 2023. Room is very run down. Carpet had nunerous stains. Shower was by far the oddest running shower Ive ever been in. The tub is a very steep step over to enter with no bar to aid older folks. I highly do not recommended this hotel.
- 1/5
I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
- 4/5
It is close to union station
- 2/5
Second time booking at this hotel. This time around, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Rooms weren’t ready by our check in time, ceiling was falling apart in our room, shower didn’t work and there was a huge gap between the right corner of the door and door frame. Requested a different room and that one also had cracks in the ceiling. I don’t think I’ll be booking here again any time soon.
- 5/5
I Stayed here with my family initially for a week. I chose to extend my stay in this hotel for another 6 days due to its facilities. The location is great and easily accessible via public transport. Union station is only 6-8 minutes walk away. Reception staff is polite and cooperative. Other staff members are also very helpful. Room services are excellent. Although the hotel is old, many rooms have been renovated and standard of cleanliness in the rooms is up to the mark. The distance from LAX airport is about 15 miles. Uber/Lyft can be used to travel from the Airport to the Hotel or the LAX Flyaway service could be utilized which operates between the LAX airport and Union station (bidirectional) from 4am to 1am daily. There is affordable paid Parking on the ground floor and a smoking area is available here as well. China Market is located at a 5 minutes walk with a diverse option for souvenirs, electronics and food items. Reception staff is present 24/7. We found it safe and secure.
- 5/5
Old hotel so has somewhat rundown outside appearance, but room recently remodeled. Excellent value!
- 4/5
I love how close to the venue and how close other food places were. I was able to just walk around. Staff were friendly. I wish the back gate would have an automatic gate so that I wouldn’t have to ask the front desk to send someone to open it for me.
- 3/5
Not the best area but convenient for the ballpark
- 4/5
It was a convenient location. Union Station nearby for transportation and Dodger stadium not far away as well.
- 5/5
This is our third time staying at metro plaza. We never had a problem. staff and garage attendant very nice . Also the price for parking is great. This is my to go place in LA. ❤️
- 2/5
The younger staff were chill but the older staff's swrvice left a bit to be desired. Most acted a bit suspicious whenever i came in the lobby, pretty sure the attitude scared off my friends. And even though its

- 4/5
I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised, certainly not a five star hotel, my room was clean, very dated. Nice to walk to Union Station, would not do it after dark. It was much better than expected
- 4/5
We arrived early and was able to check-in on a Saturday before the official 3pm. It was a breeze & got in our room fast. We had a car so they charged us $5/day upfront & i put a little ticket on my dash before we went up to the room. Props to the parking attendants, they were very happy & quick to usher you to a spot. My request for a room on the 4th floor on back side of hotel was not granted. Instead, we got a room on the 3rd floor next to the housekeeping room. I was debating on changing rooms after the first night as it was a bit loud with the housekeepers conversations & noise from the washing machines/dryers, but it was somewhat tolerable. Conversation & some noises would start about 8am. That was on me for not changing room, but most of the time, we were out & about until evening when they went home anyways. It seemed as if the room was upgraded as there was new bed frames, desks & updated bathroom w/tile. It would have been nice to have a desk seat, but there were a couple of short ottomans instead. Shower water pressure was low, but able to get hot water if you barely cracked the faucet in the shower & rain shower felt like it was gently raining; would have been nice if it was more pressure, but was able to get hot showers every night. We need up booking Metro Plaza because we were going to a concert at LA State Historic park. Walk was a breeze.
- 4/5
Quick check in they even let is check in early friendly staff and close to good food and the LA historic park walkin distance
- 4/5
Bad Area
- 5/5
Very convenient location. About 10-20 min walk to Little Tokyo or Chinatown. Free parking is a pleasant surprise. Hotel is a little older but clean and convenient. Its not luxurious like with breakfast, amenities but the price, safety and some cleanliness is the point. We attended a political rally and this was perfect. Reasonable price.
- 5/5
Great location near Union Station. Clean and comfortable.
- 5/5

Nice staying
- 2/5
On the positive side, the bedroom and bathroom appeared clean and orderly. The beds were neatly made, and the room-cleaning personnel were courteous and friendly. A spot-check under our mattresses showed no signs of bedbugs. The front desk permitted early check-in. At night, a guard kept watch in the lobby, and there were no homeless people anywhere near the front door. The hotel is within a block or two of some good eating establishments. Room furnishings were minimal: 2 queen beds, a desk, and two small poufs but no chairs. The carpet of the waiting room outside the third-floor elevator had been removed. Overall, the accommodations seemed consistent with the price per night. We liked the price and the clean appearance of the room; however, we might not stay at the hotel again because of the cockroach that came into the bathroom.
- 5/5
Clean and easy parking
- 3/5
Really convenient to Union Station and to get to Dodger Stadium
- 1/5
- 5/5
Great for what I paid for
- 3/5
Location is the key. We were taking a trip on Amtrak and this hotel is right around the corner. Just an average stay. Needs updating and carpet was horrible
- 3/5
- 4/5
The location and room is good. Hope they have microwave per floor instead of going down the reception. Appreciate they have free hot and cold water.
- 2/5
I like that they allow
- 4/5
Location of the property is good. Transportation from the area to other parts of the city and tourist spots are convenient
- 5/5
I was given a very friendly big room on a 4th floor very quiet and comfortable also a late check out I will recommend this hotel is not that expensive. Thanks
- 4/5
Nice renewed hotel.
- 3/5
The accommodations were acceptable for the price. The only thing I was unhappy about was having to sign a form that absolved the hotel of responsibility of loss of valuables not locked in the room safe. Fortunately I experienced no loss.
- 4/5
My only issue was the tiles in the shower which were slippery and I had to be cautious.
- 1/5
Bad
- 2/5
There wasn’t anything too bad, the room itself was nice but there was four separate gang related crimes at the gas station outside while we were there.
- 3/5
The property is old and outdated. I had only one washcloth in my room and it was dirty from a prior visitor. The remote control was sticky and barely worked. The room has cable TV and refrigerator. Coffee in lobby. No breakfast because they are doing renovations. Good location only because it's next to a transit center.food options are limited,
- 5/5
Very hospitable, kind, and helpful although they do not have washers or dryers for us to do laundry like their website says. Nice place and employees💕
- 5/5
The location is perfect if you want to be close next to Union station. From there you can also get the direct bus to airport. The hotel is old but the rooms as huge and it is clean, also the price is decent. I would stay again!
- 5/5
We stayed here for a baseball trip. It was easy to walk to Dodger Stadium. It was a five minute walk to Union Station to take the metro to Anaheim for an angels game. The staff was courteous and helpful.
- 4/5
For the price paid, it was reasonable.
- 5/5
All was good
- 5/5
Friendly staff, easy checkin. We were able to leave a baggage at the front desk before check-in and after checkout. They are going through a renovation but noises and dust was very minimal.
- 3/5
Decent enough for an overnight stay near Los Angeles Amtak Union station. The price reflects the type of hotel. Not modern, a bit run down, but clean bath room.
- 1/5
It is horrible. If it were not 10p.m. when we arrived by train I WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED HERE.
- 3/5

- 2/5
Están sucias las alfombras y las camas huelen mal
- 4/5
This hotel has seen better days, but the proximity to Union Station and the price were great. I appreciated the heads up from the friendly front desk about how to operate the shower/hot water. If traveling alone I'd stay here again.
- 4/5
TL;DR I am on a solo train trip and needed a place near Union station to stay the night for my train the next day. If you have similar plans Metro was perfect.
- 5/5
Amazing location. Love the view
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit worn and outdated. The AC/heat unit on my room didn’t work. When I stir Ed it on to cool off the room (from 68 to 65) it sent a blast of warm humid air. I didn’t report it bc it was late at no ight and cooled off if I opened the window
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 4/5
Older hotel going thru some remodeling. Has musty smell but not bad . Service & staff great. Bathrooms ok, shower at bit odd, sink plug did not work.
- 1/5
BAD CONDITIONS. SO DUTY PLACE
- 3/5
This hotel is in the middle of renovations. I stayed in a part that had room updates, but parts of the hotel hallways have some pretty old and worn carpet. The hallways often smelled like smoke and weed, but at least I couldn’t smell it in my room. The room was clean and had updated things like usb ports for charging, which was nice. It’s a good budget option.
- 5/5
Very close to Union Station. Old hotel, in need of repair, but they seem to be working on it. Some oddities, like toilet paper roll weirdly mounted. Light switches not conveniently located. Sure has excellent location.
- 5/5
Excelent place for Amtrak train tourist, walking distance to any historical sihgtseeing in downtown of Los Angeles.
- 5/5
Good handy location, but a bit rundown. Some renovation being done
- 3/5
Well located for Union Station.
- 3/5
The staff seems to be doing the best they can with what they have.
- 5/5
We love this place, it’s centrally located and is a few minutes away from union station very clean and the staff is awesome. We will definitely stay again
- 1/5
The property was close to Amtrak station but the surrounding area was run down and seemed unsafe. I would not book again. Rooms and lobby need renovating. Overpriced for area.
- 4/5
good service
