Second day we requested early breakfast, since we had to leave early. The night shift staff promised and left note for morning staff, but morning staff completely ignored the request and made us wait till 8:30. Family felt responses were very unfriendly from the staff. There were only two towels provided, we were 3 guest in each room. There was no room cleanup, and bed was not made after we left in the morning on day1. Towels were not replaced. Parking description was misleading, it was mentioned as available, but we had to pay $30 per day. We paid $99 per day thru Expedia, but on the spot price was showing as $40 on Expedia. Parking and pricing is probably a Expedia thing. So low stars for Expedia for this. Very disappointing. Overall we were disappointed with our booking and stay. I wouldn’t recommend.

Coffee is only for one hour. In my hundreds of stays in hotels, I’ve never experienced anything like it. Luckily the mall right next door has coffee and there’s a 7-11 across the street. The coffee cups they use here waxy. The staff are welcoming and peaceful. I’m just very very very disappointed in the coffee. On top of the coffee being awful, it’s only served for 1 hour. Bring your own instant coffee and creamer and coffee mug. Again. House keeping and the staff were great. And they were very nice to my little doggie Timmy. One last thing. It’s a spot located where there are a lot of Mentally ill homeless people and the back door is broken. It doesn’t close on its own. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED for security concerns.

Very primitive hotel. There were no hangers, extra toilet paper, we had to request towels from the front desk. There was no tissue in the room small thin soap that we had to keep asking for more over our 3 night stay. rooms were mildewy and the coffee in the lobby was instant with a box of cereal and a pitcher of milk. there was a toaster no bread, muffin or bagels, but there was a bread box. no tea or hot water. and the day staff lady was rather rude.

Staff was friendly Parking lot is small, and $30/night. Room is small, which is okay, bed is uncomfortable. Air conditioning is nonexistent, they’re window units built into the wall, temperature outside 60° and 80° in the room. Showers have little to no water pressure, hot water is nonexistent. You get 2 bath towels, no wash rags, and 1 “hand towel” to use as a shower floor mat. Toilet paper is like 1/4 ply, pretty sure you get better in prison.

All that said it is a quiet & wonderful location to get to activities in Hollywood.

Close to Hollywood Blv. Everything. The place is disgusting, the shower wasn’t warming up properly, the AC wasn’t working properly, everything was dirty but the worst part was my bed was covered in URINE from the previous client. The smells was disgustingly bad as dog pee and when I’ve noticed it and talk to the person in the reception, I was told there was nothing he could do it and he would write a notice…????!!!!! I explained that I couldn’t sleep in a bed covered in urine and he said he could give me a single sheet to put on top of it.!!! The toaster in the common area has bread crumbs stuck and obviously sitting there for months. The water heater there had water in there with mud and fungus, absolutely disgusting. The shower wasn’t heating and even the next day, without sleep properly because of urine smells, the cleaner didn’t come to change the sheets and I had to go again in the next day complaining about the urine in the bed and they gave me another sheet to put on top of the other one!!! Avoid the place at any cost if you can.

The hotel was suspiciously cheaper when compared to others around and when you arrive it’s quick to find out why. If you are just looking for a single night to see Hollywood at its finest then this will do just fine. Parking is $30 per night which is quite normal around town Breakfast.. just no. Go for a walk and find breakfast. It is an old building that no doubt was in the heart of the action at one point in time, just not today.. the hotel and room smell clean, the room had a window that opened, the beds were sleepable. Air con in the wall worked but too noisy to use. Met the owner while we were there, she was really nice, she and a contractor were renovating one of the rooms through the days and the overnight guy super friendly!! If he sees you coming to the door he will run over just to open it for you. If you don’t need anything fancy then this place will work just fine. If you’re used to that tiny bit more in life then find somewhere else to stay.

There was no breakfast at all the next day, when I asked the lady at the desk she said that whoever was supposed to deliver it was running late an hour after breakfast was supposed to start. The location is great unfortunately the condition of the building is not good. There is no elevator as well. If you are looking for pure location, it might be worth your time. The hotel maintains a clean and comfortable space, and the Old Hollywood style adds a special touch. The pricing is fair, and the location is very convenient. It was a pleasure staying here.

This was easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The room was filthy the moment we walked in. It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in ages — dirt, stains, and grime everywhere. The entire place felt run-down and neglected. The worst part was the roaches. We saw multiple roaches crawling around the room which was honestly disgusting and made it feel completely unsanitary. No guest should ever have to deal with something like that. The room itself was also in terrible condition. There was visible damage everywhere — chipped walls, worn and broken furniture, and things that looked like they were barely held together. It felt more like an abandoned motel than a hotel people are paying to stay in. To make things even worse, the air conditioning barely worked. The room stayed hot and uncomfortable the entire time. In Los Angeles, working AC is the bare minimum and this place can’t even manage that. Honestly, this place should not be charging anyone to stay here in its current condition. Between the dirt, roaches, broken AC, and overall damage to the room, it was a miserable experience. Save yourself the headache and stay literally anywhere else. HOMELESS AND DRUG ADDICTS DO CHECK DOORS TO CARS AND THE HOTEL THEY GET VERY HOSTILE IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO GIVE THEM

No toiletries at all. Only 2 bath towels, had to ask for a hand towel. Breakfast was a joke ( cereal in a plastic tub). Coffee was instant coffee. Got there 50 mins before check in and wanted to charge $30 to check in early and wouldn’t hold luggage so we could eat. Filth in corners , shower was cracked and water went everywhere. AC was very old window unit. Mattress was gross ( didnt see it until day we left when a corner of fitted sheet came off). I will not go back -

⭐️☆☆☆☆ We had a very disappointing stay at the Hollywood VIP Hotel. We arrived early because our flight landed ahead of schedule. The hotel lobby was completely empty at the time. We were informed that early check-in would cost $30. When we asked if there was a bell room or storage area where we could leave our luggage until check-in, we were told that would also cost $30. Since there were no other guests present, this was surprising. We left, returned about 15 minutes before the official check-in time, and were reminded that it was not yet check-in. The clerk said he would check if the room was ready, then came back and said it was, and we proceeded to check in. Upon entering the room, the first thing we noticed was a cockroach on the floor, which we immediately had to deal with. We also noticed that the room door did not fit properly in the frame and did not close squarely. The room was stocked with only two towels total. I went back to the front desk to report this, and the clerk returned with three additional towels, all mismatched and smaller than standard bath towels. The bathroom was in very poor condition. The water control knob in the shower was damaged, the shower base had significant mold buildup with caulking and paint bulging, and the shower head was rusted, leaking, and spraying water inconsistently. The bathroom ceiling light was exposed and visibly dirty with mold and dust. Overall, the bathroom appeared poorly maintained

It was a horrific experience, I checked in on the 3rd, when I went to bed I noticed a shadow next to my door, and I could see very little movement, I watched and didn’t take my eyes off the door.. someone stood there doing who knows what, but there was no noise or anything. I got close to the door and told the person to stop and leave. They left, but they came back. I went online looking for the front desk phone number and it’s not listed. So I had to go downstairs to the front desk, explained the situation and they said they’d keep an eye out. Apparently they didn’t because who ever it was came back and make a long story short I did not sleep, on the 4th the same exact thing happened.. I got the manager’s email sent her an email along with the videos I recorded.. nothing! No one ever replied. I need to sleep I was tired so I moved rooms, paid for another day. Emailed this person one more time, I’ve checked out for almost 2 hours and still no word from anyone at the hotel.. CARING AND PROFFESSIONAL 🙄

Not worth it/ they double charged me the deposit - parking was not secure or worth 30$ - the shower didn’t work - the room smelled like cat piss. They give you a tiny shampoo packet and 2 tiny bar of soaps - if was extreme poverty conditions - stay somewhere else - they should charge 50$ or less per night -

This place is terrible. It smells extremely horrible and the common area and the bedrooms. We were almost able to breathe. It was so bad we had to leave early. The room is poorly put together. It doesn’t even look nice the bed is extremely cheap. The shower and the bathroom was dirty. Everything smells like smoking cigarettes except they charge a fee if you smoke in their facility so I’m confused on why it smells horrible like that. I asked for blankets. They didn’t even have extra blankets. Staff were super rude. I needed to move my car over , the staff and another hotel resident came to the door to asked me to move my car which was extremely unprofessional. The other president should have not known the room that I was staying in let along come along to knock on my door and rudely asked me to leave this place needs to be shut down

One of the most disgusting looking hotels. We stormed out of there. No smoking is allowed in the building yet our room smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns on the pillow cases! Dirty walls and bed frames! We got moved to another room which was supposed to be better. It didn’t smell but had cockroaches!!! We also had crackheads chilling by the parking lot…felt totally unsafe in the hotel and outside. I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could…so so bad.

The pros are it’s a short walk to the Hollywood Bowl and a few blocks away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The bed was firm, water hot and soap body wash mini lotion provided. I stayed in a King room on the ground floor that air conditioning is not working properly. Because of that a window was open and there’s no chair. Morning staff told me this is why the room wasn’t being rented out. I was offered another room upstairs (no elevator) and was frankly to tired to lift my heavy suitcase . The shower should have been cleaned of the mold around the edges. No water or cups provided. No washcloth. What bothered me the most was the instant coffee for the continental breakfast . It would have made the world of difference to have fresh brewed coffee and say bananas. Near the magic castle I have to say the garbage left on the outside landing greeted us when we arrived and it was gross ya know? Also screams in the night. Some poor soul was murdered. Stay here if none of what I said matters to you.

Parking is pretty decent for Los Angeles. The rooms are dated but clean. It’s an older building and you can hear a lot through the walls and door but luckily everyone was quiet and respectful. The location is excellent if touring Hollywood is your goal. Towels are pretty cheap but clean. Ask in all I would recommend this hotel for short stays when you won’t spend a lot of time in the hotel.

It’s an older building but updated and clean. The man working the front desk was doing “everything” when we arrived (check ins, laundry, assisting with showing rooms, etc) and he was friendly and efficient. The parking lot is an open lot and a bit cramped but it’s Hollywood.

The owner should invest some money on the property. Carpets, rooms, etc. Wi-Fi wasn't working when we came in so we couldn't do the check-in. We had to come back later. Haha

Overall experience was very poor from beginning to end. I just have to say it was in a convenient location close to Hollywood. From Checking in I was never informed that they will charge for parking $30 per night . The parking lot is on the back ally where all the homeless live and is dark and very dirty, very poorly maintained. The whole property has a smell like old and dirty place. We get to our room and it was modern looking but very poor maintained as well, chandelier didn’t turn on, bathroom light was missing a bulb, window open, remote control had no lid for the batteries, fridge won’t close all the way and has water leaking, the bathroom shower leaks all over the bathroom and no fan in the bathroom, but the worst thing was the towels, we got 2 old dirty different colors towels. We end up paying $200 per night with the taxes and fees for this hotel. I have to say is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. I would never stay here again.

If more than 2 people booked to stay in a room make sure you supply enough towels for the guest don't make it tough to get enough towels for everyone in the room..

Cons: the front lobby furniture was well worn. Our toilet seat was cracked all the way through. We got two cheap, thin towels. The continental breakfast was supposed to be just cereal but they didn’t have any milk, and all they had was instant coffee.

We tolerated our stay here. Not sure if we would stay here again. Probably not. The AC was broken in our first room, bed flimsy, toilet leaking on the ground, lighting bad. We slept there one night only bc we were so tired. Asked Daniel to see if he could fix our room or give us a new one. He was able to give us a new room. Everything in the new room was good except the shower and toilet were clogging, toilet seat broken. We had a good time but did not spend much of it in the room. Walking distance to all the fun Hollywood shopping and dining.

My Mom had purchased the room as a gift for me when I went to The Who concert at The Hollywood Bowl. I called the day before and asked if it would be OK for me to check in even if the credit card had a different name. The women who answered said that it would be 'no problem'. I got there....AND IT WAS A PROBLEM! The woman who answered the phone and the woman who was at the desk were the same person. She lied to me and tried to blame it on another employee telling me that the room was reserved but not confirmed. I had my Mom on speaker phone. I told her to take a pic of her ID & text it to me to show to the woman. That was not acceptable. I was very upset & she kicked me off the property. I could not find a room anywhere else so I came back. I had to pay with my own credit card. The rooms do not have coffee makers. I need hot water for my tea. I had to go in the lobby in my nightgown to heat water in the microwave. The water did not get hot. The window was wide open with no screen. I did not want to close it because L.A. is humid. There was a lamp on the night stand and it did not work causing me to have to get up to turn the light on and off. It was an overhead light. The bathtub had no plug and the water was cold. There was no trash can. I had to throw away sanitary napkins, dirty paper towels and used dental floss and just leave them on the floor. I called my bank and told them the whole story because it will be a cold day in hell that I will pay for that!

The service was wonderful! The hotel needs some love. It is very run down, AC was smoking, quite noisy, doors don't have dead bolts, no screens on windows that open completely. Super great location and again, kind staff, just a really old hotel and not cozy

We needed to book a room last minute and the price was low so it worked for what we needed. The outside is kind of sketch. Breakfast consisted of cereal and the parking lot didnt really feel secure at all. It's really close to hollywood blvd so if you dont need amenities and just need a place to crash this seems like it would do the job. When we were checking out, the front desk agent was on the phone with the owner/manager(?). It was a little off putting because we had to go and we literally heard her tell the agent to make us wait while we were standing there but he at least respected our time and checked us out

The hotel was actually better than I was expecting from the picture online. I wanted a place walkable to the Hollywood Bowl. The building is old and I knew that, but that's NOT a complaint. Breakfast was one type of cereal, but that's also NOT a complaint. I would recommend and would stay there again.

By "breakfast", they mean 1 kind of milk + 1 kind of Ceerios, nothing else, not even tissue paper to wipe your mouth! Parking is $30 and inconvenient. Homeless people around, so feeling unsafe. No hair drier in room. Commod seat is broken. Shower water does not drain immediately causing a pool of water after shower. No extra towel.

This establishment is run down, dirty, unsanitary and unsafe. The linens are old and dirty. The A/C is dirty and has build up of mold. The complimentary breakfast is laughable and unsanitary. This place was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. Says it is pet friendly but when you get there they said we couldn’t have pets we didn’t have anywhere else to go. Our service dog was welcome but they were going to charge us for both him and the pet. Parking in the back for $30 a night didn’t feel safe and you could bearly get in and out . Ac stopped working in the middle of the night (in august) and they were annoyed when I ask to change rooms.

Staff was friendly, room was fine. Parking was scary. People are lowering in back right where cars were. They claim to have private parking but it wasn't private at all it was open and anyone could walk in and steal your car so you shouldn't have to pay $30 but yet you did. Also the breakfast was coffee and cereal so that's not a continental breakfast I think you need at least one bread item to call it a continental breakfast

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the space of a week and find it very conveniently located to Hollywood, the rooms are not flash but very comfortable and adequate. The availability of a "continental breakfast" is debatable but I was allowed access to boiling water for a hot beverage. The staff are very helpful and considerate offering to carry by 60lb suitcase up the flight of stairs.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. It’s full of homeless individuals, and it seems like the county uses it specifically for housing them don’t be misled by the name. The front desk staff were incredibly rude and disrespectful, especially a man named Rod. The rooms were filthy, the bed sheets and blankets had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the toilet in our room was broken with water leaking all over. I had booked the place but ended up leaving after just 20 minutes. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.
