Hollywood Roxy Hotel

The Roxy Hotel is terrific! A small, well-located, basic place to stay with a kind and helpful staff. The location is a bit rough but very near the Metro, bus lines, and markets. There is limited, locked parking at night and street parking close by. The people who run the hotel are wonderful. It seems like there is limited cleaning staff but for a short stay they are clean enough, with plenty of hot water, windows that open to the fresh air, a fan and a refrigerator. A perfect place to explore the real Hollywood!

The property was run down. The rooms were small.\n The bed was lousy, springing uncomfortable blankets, thin pillows, thin, it was super stuffy. No air conditioning, only a fan. There were shops nearby parking was secure. It said no pets and he did let me keep a pet though that was cool, I guess it wasn't bad for the price. But I've had a lot better for the same price overall.2 stars out of 5

The "owner" or i guess the person in the front desk was very demanding. Everytime he spoke or said something he point his figures and also demanded my girlfriend to show her ID, if not he wasn't going to give me the room keys. Very Unhinged of him, the room was also very dusty... We couldn't sleep there at all so we left early. Honestly just never going there ever again

Everything in the room was needing to be replced. The thermostat was broken, the furnishins we probably bought at a junk yard. The bed gelt like there was a dead body in the mattress. There were overloading electrical burns on the o ly outlet which they had an extension cord for TV and refrigerator. The microwave, well there is one in lobby but not room as stated. Then the horrible parkin. Al.ost impossible and the back area is occupied by there work vans, 6 of them If i could rate it lower i would. I asked the guy if he would sell it all for 20k because it needs at least $500-800k to renovate. Do not stay at the Roxy, you might wake up eith bed bugs or worse. Gaucets not even secured. Other liquids and stains, blood, boogers on the wall. Just horrible, i also am going to try to reverse the charges. They shod be offering free rooms for labor or payimg people who stay there. These amateurs have no business being in this business.

You must be aware that NO rooms have air conditioning. If you can’t take the Heat this is not the Property for you. Each Room always has a Standing High Speed Fan. Other than the no air conditioning it’s still (at least for me) the best value in the Heart of Hollywood.

the bed was good The fact that you get what you paid for is crazy, the shower is a lawsuit waiting to happen, roaches were present with the room I was in and it seems like they do not REALLY clean up the rooms. There was still trash from previous renters. And the fridge was not even plugged in, good thing I did not need to have anything that needed cooling to be in there. I like how there is no A/C in any of the rooms, but their office has one. It's like they do not want the customer to be comfortable and want to come back in the future. Never going to this place again. One time was enough for me.

All around the quality and condition of the room was pretty bad. Horrible paint job. Some dust in areas clearly not cleaned off for at least months. Dirty places throughout that could easily be wiped clean. I felt uncomfortable being there and regretted the stay almost immediately after arriving.

The owners are deliberately and artificially misleading customers by thinking a non refundable booking means no incidentals. Like why else would you let someone book a room with no way of paying for the deposit? Is it covered , subsidized or?

I will Never stay here again. Lumpy bed/ mattress springs worn away at edges and compressed in a few areas making for a bed with visibly depressed areas and thus leaving only a small strip in the middle that one can comfortably sleep on. So many random loud noises I had to use Earplugs to get sleep. Broken chair. Very dirty/ disgusting... Heart shaped flies and roaches. Many stains/ discolorations on walls, floors, fridge, desk etc. AC broken & no heater. The floor is uneven/ slanted in places. No soap holder in shower. Faucets squeak. Long time for water to get hot. No plug by bed (office leant me an extension cord when I asked). Very loud every day about 11:15am... Worker telling people to leave.

This hotel is probably the best value in West Hollywood. They offer great prices in a very convenient location. I really enjoyed the vintage coke machine in the lobby. It's only a short five minute walk to the subway, which make the location very convenient for someone visiting the city without a vehicle.

My experience at Roxy Hotel was excellence. Check and check out was great with no issues. The room was very comfortable and it had all the essentials. Location was very convenient for me and the hotel was very secure with a key card to open the main door of the bldg. I was very please during my stay and I would absolutely stay here again in the near future.

And I don’t want to forget to mention the cleanliness of the bathroom was absolutely none existent. Specifically the shower. I don’t know if it was black mold or fecal matter or a combo, but needless to say, bring bleach if you’re going to stay here.

They had a heater that didnt work, broken smoke alarm, dead roaches in the room, no parking/pool even though they said free parking and pool on the app, only 2 plugs in the entire room and only 1 available to use- the other i had to use for the fridge, pillows were old and thin, bed was loud and squeaky, and horrible check-in service. I feel they over-price their rooms for the overall condition it was in. Should be a lot cheaper. I do not recommend staying there at all and its my 1st and last time. Seems like management is trying their best to save as much energy/money as possible.

I have no real complaints about the area other than it’s really difficult to find parking if you can’t get into the designated parking area behind the gate. The guys are really nice there too. From the cleaning staff to the front desk. Shout out to the front desk for still opening the gate to the parking area at 4 AM in the morning because I get off work at 3 and for letting my husband stay, even though he had just lost his ID card. We’re very grateful for that to the front desk guy.

Stayed here just for one night because i was going to a concert. Positive: inexpensive room, in walking desert to venue. Negatives: No AC traffic on the street was loud. Overall you get what you pay for. Honestly I was only in the room just to sleep and that was it.

Everything was ok. Quite, pleasant stay...

Had roaches and bad customer service. The ac didn’t work it was just terrible

Very bad experience, room is very dirty, bed is very small, and you cannot event use credit card to pay, they will let you get cash from an ATM and it has transaction fee.

It was good... It served it's purpose. Nothing expectacular but comfortable enough to sleep. The service it's good. The owner and his Family are great people The Fair and understanding.

Front desk clerk didn’t give me my room key until he saw my friend and asked her for ID. I asked where do I park because parking is included with the room rental. Clerk responded with that there was no parking and I had to figure it on my own and risk getting a ticket (thank you Jesus). The was no elevator and the room had no a/c in the room. Also, not all of the electrical outlets worked. Can I get a refund?

As always, no frills. Secure room, Secure parking in an area where Parking is almost impossible to find. No A/C, but all in all best value in Hollywood.

No air-conditioning, not enough outlet plugs to charge my cell phone. No extension cords available. Worst place i have ever stayed at my whole life. Plus not enough parking available. I would rate this place a -1 , on a 1-10 scale!

absolutely sure of bed bugs and am demanding a full reimbursement before a lawsuit due to inappropriate hotel employees. Do not stay here unless you have your own sheets and/ or are desperate to be eaten alive

No parking

I have stayed several times without issues. I even sleep with the window wide open at night for the amazing cool breeze. Always secure. It's a basic, no frills, no A/C, but it just depends on your budget, etc. I am a "forever" fan. Thank you.

Rooms should be clean and not Dusty and beds and blankets should have cigarettes burns if it's a non-smoking hotel.

The reception demands $25 cash deposit which is not be returned if only a minute late after 10 am.

This is a bare-bones hotel in a fairly seedy section of East Hollywood. That said, the room was pretty clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
