No black out curtains and its across the street from the hospital expect no sleep, so LOUD sirens and Lots of noise. Other than that I would never recommend this hotel, unless you have family in the hospital and cant afford anything else..

The room was extremely dirty when we arrived. The floors were filthy, the furniture looked poorly maintained, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. The bedding and sheets did not appear properly cleaned and made us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom was in terrible condition. It was dirty, poorly cleaned, and clearly not maintained to even basic hospitality standards. Cleanliness seemed to be completely ignored throughout the property. To make matters even worse, we encountered bugs in the room. Finding insects inside a hotel room is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the property's cleanliness and management. The staff was also disappointing. Instead of being helpful and professional, they were unfriendly and showed little interest in addressing concerns. Customer service was far below what any guest should reasonably expect. The photos online do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the hotel. What we experienced was completely different from what was advertised. I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this property and look elsewhere. There are many better options in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, this stay was a complete waste of money and one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I have ever had.

The room was beautiful, very clean and the staff was very friendly. Shoutout to Joann. The view was spectacular and we were only an actual 30 second walk to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit again.

Stayed here for a few nights with family. Staff was nice and gave us extra towels. I called ahead of time to let them know we were arriving past midnight and they quickly got us checked in when we arrived. I dont even know how many times we stayed here in the past and will continue to stay here

ERTH INN by AGA is in front of a hospital, this should be a red flag. There are ambulances and police cars with sirens all night long, so you can’t get a good night sleep. Also three times during the night someone tried to open the door to our room, which was very frightening. There were people fighting in the halls. I could have sworn we heard a gunshot. The room floor was so dirty like it had never been swept and mopped in a few months, we had to walk in our shoes during our stay. There was hair in the bathroom floor. The walls and end table were filthy , we had to wipe them down with soap and water .

Exceeds expectations! Check in was fast and friendly. Room had all the essentials: strong hot shower, soft bed, clean room, & strong AC. Location is perfect if near LA General. Free LA Shuttle bus service out front too.

I was immediately harassed by a random man upon check in which made me feel uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. Room was okay, overall vibe felt very weird and checked out first thing the next morning, which was just leaving my room key inside of the desk through a metal tray, which the office had a glass window and speaker that made it hard to hear staff. I ended up sliding the card all the way over to the desk side because I was worried that same random guy would come and steal my card and sneak into my room. There’s no security. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I really had to.

The man who runs the hotel was very polite and nice. However, the room was not clean at all. The floors were dirty, the baseboards were all full of dust and the room smelled like cigarettes as soon as I walked in. I wore socks the entire I was in the room and when I checked the next morning they were literally black due to the floors not being properly cleaned. I thought with other decent reviews the rooms were going to be somewhat fine but that wasn’t the case which was sad. We were only there for a night & I know it was across from the hospital but I was at least expecting it to be room ready for the amount that was paid for less than 24 hours in a room.

Correctly advertised no frills hotel but comfortable beds, free parking, and functional AC make for an excellent value! Room does offer mini frig and microwave. Floors are a little dirty but everything else was solid. Close proximity to USC Keck med center, Dodger Stadium, Chinatown, and Moo's Craft Barbecue. Will strongly consider this place again!

You generally get what you pay for... this property is right by general hospital. It was actually surprisingly decent for the price, I know a lot of people rate it low. But what do you expect for the price? I felt it was better than what I paid for and it was good.

After a long drive, I check in, go to my room, thought it looked fine and tried to sleep. The heater/ac thing was VERY loud and woke me up all night, plus I kept hearing a weird water sloshing sound. Next morning as I’m getting ready, I notice how nasty dirty it was in the daylight. Like built up nastiness that isn’t from one accidental missed cleaning. I had to leave for the morning and then arranged to stay with a friend my second night instead of this place. I come back around 2, ask if I can check out and have a refund possibly for the second night. He looks me up in the computer and says no because I should’ve told him before 11. I told him I had just got my things and the maid hasn’t even come yet, so what about one night and a late checkout fee? He thought for a second and said since I bought on a third party, he can’t refund me anything …but otherwise he would definitely give me 100% back. I told him I wanted to leave because it was filthy and there were basically no clean surfaces in the room. He said then I should’ve told him the night before and he would’ve moved me. I told him it was dark and I was tired, and I’m telling him now. He laughed and said sorry he won’t refund it because it was third party. Hi third party! There were also pillows stains that you could see through the pillow cases, and mold in the shower corner.

The room was just okay for a quick stay. Free parking and a central location made it worth it. The WiFi and TV weren't working during my stay but the staff was apologetic about it. I needed a room next to the hospital and this worked out well. It's a 'bad' area, but I felt very safe. The check in was behind a window like at a bank, and both people I dealt with were extremely helpful. The room was clean, the 'city view' was the parking lot next door. How easy I was able to get to where I needed to go. Placed in a convenient spot. The only thing I have to complain about would be the mattresses, they were not comfortable for me being a big guy.

It’s medicore. It’s on par for this type of hotel in this location. I checked in, carried all my stuff up and my room was dirty. Back down to the office, not a single word to me as he left, arrived five minutes later and handed me a card to a new room without a single word. Just annoying. The most attractive thing about this hotel was the hallway picture. Sheets were dirty and the room looked dirty. Extremely unsafe neighbor across from a county hospital I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy to stay . Insufficient parking .

As basic as you can get. No lobby. Entrance is a small elevator lobby off of the inside parking lot. The rooms are clean but very basic and a bit tired with no chairs other than a desk chair, but no desk. The bathroom was a recent reno. There is nothing in this hotel other than the room you are in.

The cleanliness is terrible, and even though they tell you that smoking is not allowed in the rooms, the smell of marijuana and cigarettes comes from other rooms.

Limited parking: when we showed up there was no parking available. The garage only has about 10 spots and then you have to park on an extremely dangerous street. If you have a rental car like we did we do not recommend this alone. Unfortunately on top of that, this hotel is very obviously frequented for paid sex workers. Which we are pro-sex work it was just not at all what the environment was being advertised and what we thought we were booking. The room itself was not cleaned. Hair on the bed, food in the fridge, etc. We personally understand that while hotels like this need to exist, we just think they should not front and act like something they are not Expedia. We booked what had high reviews, great comments about it, and great images but it was nothing what the reviews said and that is why we felt the need to write this review. We don’t want other people falling for what is probably paid-for bot reviews. We do not recommend this place ESPECIALLY if you have kids or want a safe place to unwind. We apologize for the review if it offends anyone but it is important for us to make sure our experience was shared as we were stranded without a room last minute.

None of the surfaces were wiped down . Everything was sticky. Not enough towels to clean it myself. Floors were not clean. Bathtub had no skid strip. Almost fell after first shower . couldn’t risk another shower . No tissue anywhere, no where to get coffee , area is ghetto. Asian call girl walking the halls looking for work. People can walk right off the street and have access to the elevator and to inside of motel

Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. First, the room was so dirty! The floor was not cleaned, and the shower was gross. The area was horrible! There are nearby stores, and when we were walking to the store, a crazy lady was screaming at us. We come to find out that there is a mental institution right there. Then, when we return to the hotel, there is a young girl screaming and shouting on drugs, running around the parking lot. Never staying here again. You get what you play for, I guess.

Honestly, if I could rate lower I would. My wife and I have been through a lot recently. This vacation was supposed to be a healing experience. The area around the hotel is alarming to say the least. THERE IS NO WAY I’D WALK AROUND AT NIGHT. I asked the staff the first night for more towels which never came. The only reason I asked was because the floor was black and covered with dirt. The baseboards the same. It was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve literally ever stayed in. Then the second night the phone kept ringing, and when I would answer no one would say anything. Alarming right? It gets worse when I told the hotel staff about all of this they shrugged. I literally had to unplug the phone from the wall. Hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had domestic or abroad. If the owner would like to contact me I’d love to elaborate. Thanks for reading this long winded review. Trust me, don’t stay here if you’re not traveling alone and you care about your loved ones. It also smelled like weed on our floor. When I went to let the staff know they did not seem to care at all. You can see from my other reviews this is not something I’d normally do but I request a reimbursement.

Decent. Definitely good enough for the price. Room was big and room was clean enough. Police presence in the neighborhood was often cause the hospital is across the street. A lot of homeless on the street tho. Just mind your business and you’ll be good. Hotel had 24/7 concierge so that was good. Cleanliness was decent enough but you could tell it was the bare minimum. Quiet enough. Overall decent stay.

The property itself is nothing fancy, yet clean and had everything we needed. However the communication with the staff was great. We had to check in very late and someone was there to let us in, thank you! Also safe parking was available which was very relieving. Location is great, just a quick drive and you're in downtown.

I liked the simplicity of the room. I did like the level of attentiveness when I requested more towels multiple times.

It was pretty good not super fancy or anything it was perfect for our weekend trip to LA. Had everything we needed no complaints. Just a weird odor in the bathroom was my only complaint.

Close to Keck Norris Cancer center. Covered parking. Quiet.

Good stay for the price

Would not recommend this place to anyone. I went according to the reviews and that is why I booked but my personal experience was terrible.

It was nice and quiet but found a dirty black spot on the inside of the comforter.

cute place cheep had a king bed and a bathroom; this is near a hospital so i felt safe. i would have liked f the bathrooms were cleaner besides that slept good

Love location. I get treatments done at Keck medical center. It is only 2 min away. Parking is great also.

Close to Amtrak Union Station. Lyft/Uber available, directly on the bus line. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. Ample parking at street level right under the hotel rooms. Directly across from LA Medical Center.

Clean room in Los Angeles that is near a hospital and had a microwave and small fridge in the room. Elevators worked and small parking lot for guests to park in.

Plenty of parking, easy to check in. Friendly staff, vending machine next to the elevator for quick snack access. Great area to get food from family owned businesses. Feels right at home in L.A.

The shower had black mold and the linens were stained badly. Not certain if clean linens were changed out. I will not be staying there again.

Baseboard paint is peeling, there is white paint slapped around the a/c unit. Wood "furniture" needs to either be replaced or repainted. Luggage holder has a strap missing. Peephole is too high up on door. Bathroom door had been repaired from what looked to have had a fist rammed through it Paint peeling around the window No extra protection bolt on entry door No Kleenex provided. At least there was a spare roll of toilet paper Disgusting to me. I didn't expect the Ritz Carlton, but it was awful. I tossed all the towels and all of the bedding in the tub in the hopes they will be kind to the next unfortunate soul that takes the risk to stay there and wash the bedding. Don't stay here, especially if you are a lady traveling alone. Believe me... Avoid this place like the plague. It takes a lot for me to complain. DON'T STAY HERE!

Clean room

It’s definitely in a rough area, but I didn’t have much of a reason to be out and about at night anyway so that didn’t bother me much… if I wanted to go out I’d do it during the day and be back before night fell. & in fact, I was out at night once and it felt safer than during the day, the problem lies in the fact that there’s a mental health clinic, a free clinic, & a substance abuse center all within walking distance and when they’re open for business they attract the sketchy people to the area. Also, I did witness the stained towels myself, but it didn’t bother me, however, it was the thinner bedding that made me a little uncomfortable. If you like thicker blankets I suggest you bring your own, I didn’t have any extra coming from out of town, so I was freezing at night and had to use the heater.

Kinda old but very clean.

The last time I stayed here I had a better experience. This time our room smelled weird and the AC was also giving off a weird smell. The hand soap, body wash and shampoo/conditioner all dispensed the same liquid. The room is always clean and service is always friendly and I always appreciate that. Would be nice if they put a little more thought into the details. Will return though.

The house next door through a party and had music all night extremely loud!

I could not even stay the night, walked in and walked back out. It was filthy, unswept floors, poop splatter in the toilet, sticky spots on the counters. If what was visible was that filthy then I cant imagine what condition the mattress was in. If i could rate this property zero stars i would have. Now im out $150.00.

Nice quiet clean comfortably basic room. Wish it had a coffee machine and an iron, but i appreciated the mini-fridge and microwave

It was ok for the price. Very convenient location to go to USC Medical services. Didn't feel very safe the parking is always open and it sees any one can get access to the guest rooms.

We forgot AirPods inside the room but the man on the front desk found it and returned it. It was impressive!!

I was never given my room, and on top of that they did not want to give me a full refund, the area was sketchy too!

I hate roaches. There was a roach by the tv I had to get out of there after only staying for a few hours. Disgusting. What a waste of money.

The room was dirty, there was mold/mildew. Bubbling over ceiling in shower like there was a leak upstairs. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Behind bed eas filthy. I checked in and then left and didnt return to the room till the evening. Had i seen it in detail early in the check in i wouod have immediately left and stayed somewhere else. Will not be going back. Would not recommend

Good place to stay

Bath towels are more like rags, they are almost see through. There was loud party on our floor, I called front desk and straight to voicemail. You’re basically on your own for your stay. Party went on till like 2am. I reached out on the messaging app to them on Hotels app.. no answer. I would spend the extra money to stay somewhere.
