Best Western Plus LA Mid Town Hotel

The room was clean, the breakfast was decent. Other than the crazy amount of homeless people around (it is DT LA) it was a good place to stay. Despite the homeless people, we would stay again.

a bit hard to find as its in the middle of a lot of huge buildings. But the place was immaculate, staff were all friendly and helpful. Bed was so comfy! Breakfast was good. try to arrive early as parking area is small and it's first come first serve.

It was well located, and te staff was very nice, good partaking option with valet at night Some of the surrounding areas were a little sketchy and felt a little unsafe, but it was fine

Everything was uncomfortable the bed was uncomfortable and the room was unclean, there was a lingering scent of previous occupants.We could not find any slippers, there were no rugs in the room and -despite having selected a corner room-there was absolutely no view from the window .in fact everything in this building felt old and dated .I certainly will not repeat this experience at this hotel.

Not the properties fault but we also had a police stand off on the street corner of the property and it made it impossible utilize the pre-paid parking.

It is very convenient if you want to take public transit. The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast starts at 6 which was great. We had a few early days and could get a hot meal. The beds were comfortable. There were two chairs in the room. Great place for the price.

Parking was a bit of a hassle very crammed in. Only one elevator. Hotel has a bit of an outdated odor and some water damage in the bathroom

We. had a great stay! Clean nice parking garage. We felt safe waking the streets close by the hotel. Great Korean Barbecue close by, bowling ally within walking distance!

Breakfast was not great; usual assortment of items. Their breakfast omlette was a flat egg with a piece of sliced cheese inserted in the middle.

The free breakfast was marginal. Definitely nothing special. Parking onsite was nice. Seems to be priced as an above average hotel which it wasn’t. Very average I would say.

The room was clean and well laid out. The parking late at night was with a valet, which was included for the $ 15 parking fee.

Excellent room clean & comfortable. The bed was awesome. Limited parking, I was warned, but not advised they would Valet if all the spots were filled. Once I learned of this added bonus (free) all was super. Breakfast was filling and had numerous options. Easy check in and out! I’m a happy customer.

Place was nice and clean inside. Looks simple but modern and very comfortable. The only issue is it has very limited parking. The staff will accommodate you by double parking cars, but it made me a little nervous. It would be nice to have a more spacious parking area for guests.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent! My only negative comment is about the parking. It's advertised as "free" parking and I believe I was charged $17. The parking is also very tight, so be prepared.

Conveniently next to the intuit dome so we just walked over for the Golden State vs Clippers basketball game. Heated pool and Jacuzzi was a plus.

I can attest the walls were thin. I could sometimes hear the folks turning on the shower above me (mostly the water flowing through the pipes). However, my floor was really quiet, so the thin walls didn't affect me much. Like, so quiet that I would sometimes jump when the AC unit would turn on. So thin, but also not really? Didn't affect me much. Folks were really nice. The hallways sometimes smelled odd, but nothing too crazy.

Needs more options for breakfast like hashbrown etc. Bacon, Sausages are too salty…Needed a bigger dining area as others have to wait longer to sit or eat in their room, just annoyed and decided to leave. Some of the dining staff are unable to communicate properly…

Nothing Terrible facility, terrible service and the room we were assigned smells horrible. I asked for a refund and wanted to change to another hotel… the refund was denied and we were only offered to change to another room. I definitely NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

We continue to return because of the location. One thing that would make it better is a full length mirror in the room! Not having one makes it really difficult to get ready while the restroom is in use, since it has the only mirror.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The front desk and night crew were very welcoming and kind. Room was squeaky clean, shower was equipped with dispensing shower gel and shampoo. The gym onsite offered great equipment and a bathroom for patrons. Although parking is limited, the crew did offer valet parking once all spaces filled. The breakfast was enough to kick start our day with simple offerings like potatoes, oatmeal, waffles, protein options and fruit. Loved that lobby had coffee available around the clock. Definitely will consider staying again if in the area. Lots of options for food and coffee within walking distance.

I chose this hotel primarily because they have a parking garage plus a valet. Parking in LA is horrendous, so I found this to be a very great amenity. The staff, including the front desk person both at night and the following morning as well as the valet, were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. I thought the room was very satisfactory- it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, etc. I did not stay long enough to explore the other amenities, such as the included breakfast. But I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.

Rooms were clean, right next to the metro to get into Holywood, breakfast included. For the price, this hotel was great. Staff were helpful as well!

Decent hotel in the heart of Koreatown. It’s within walking distance of a ton of great restaurants and shops. The walls in the place are paper-thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing at all hours. Breakfast was sub-par but free so can’t complain too much.

The hotel was very clean and well-organized. The only thing is that there is a big noise from the plumbing system- especially when the people in the next room take a shower, but that is okay. I still want to give 5 stars since it is way better than I expected. :)

The room overall was fine aside from the fact the chair wouldn't go up or down. It was clean, and very comfortable. However, the amenities such as the gym was closed during the stay and the check in experience was atrocious.

Although I was looking forward to using the gym facilities, they were having some kind of leak so that sucked. We were also very disappointed with the breakfast. My boyfriend had a bad stomach ache after but It was overall a good experience.

Customer representatives are horrible, and they never explained anything regarding the car parking pass. I have been all over the world, and I have never heard that a temporary car parking pass has to be returned after an inning, nor was I ever told to return one. They charge money if you don't return the car parking pass. Also, car parking was not free.

The breakfast was very nice with a lot of selections. For a fee there was hotel parking which was well worth the extra charge. The hair/body products in the bathroom were empty. The maid refilled them when asked. The concrete floor under the carpet outside the bathroom door had several pieces missing causing unevenness in the floor that made the footing unstable.

Wet towels were left on the tub, sink didn’t drain well, and most of all I forgot gifts in the room, which housekeeping stated the didn’t find. They were left in the drawer and not out in the open, so if the rooms were checked thoroughly the housekeeping for sure would have found them.

The AC smells badly when turn on so we didn't use it. Breakfast area is too small to accommodate many guests. We have to take the food and eat in our room. The food variety aren't great. The pancake machine broken down often. They should just cook that themselves.

The bedroom has a good enough space. There’s no extra vanity mirror in the bedroom only in the bathroom. No enough parking space tho there’s valet parker anytime. The breakfast time is only up to 9am. Too early for the kids. Better if it’s until at least 10am.

Breakfast was so delicious and plenty to choose and you can make your own waffle and pancakes fresh.. since I’m a member they gave me bottle of water upon checking in and out!! The room was nice, the bed was comfy and we loved that they had a gym we could access daily. We were not aware of having to pay for parking daily so that was a bit of a bummer but overall we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast in the mornings was great as well. Breakfast offered a good variety of carbs & protein options things like eggs, bacon, sausage, then they also had fruit, waffles, pancakes, cereal, muffins, juices, coffee, yogurt as people that eat little carbs, it was nice having some options to pick and choose from. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Though the surroundings are quite noisy. I don't know if it was just my room, but I could hear the sound of a police siren at night. (Probably this is common in big cities) Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was located in a noisy, busy area, but the front desk allowed us to choose whetger we preferred to have a room facing the street or in the rear of the hotel. We chose the quieter option. The halls are nicely decorated. The room was clean and comfortable, with a chair and ottoman, a nice desk chair, a good size TV and attractive bedspread. The bathroom was clean and attractive. In terms of parking, I was happy that we could park in a private space under the hotel for safety reasons. The had a security guard on premises, too. Overall, it's a good hotel for the money.

I love this hotel. The lobby and the host were very kind and friendly. The room is spacious and it has all the amenities that was on the description. Room were cleaned when we first got there. The hotel was in the middle of all the Korean restaurants. It's very close to where I'm going. The breakfasts were delicious and the kitchen is well-maintained. Only thing is that we weren't given new towels and room weren't clean when me and my cousin weren't at the room. Overall, I would recommend this hotel the cost is affordable, well-maintained place, breakfast included and very delicious food, and staff were kind friendly . Lastly, the only problem is that if you drink a lot of water have to buy water from grocery store because they sell water and it's too expensive.

One thing to consider though this is downtown so parking is a bit rough, and they only have so much spots available, and when they run out they start valet with your car double parking or moving it around to fit other vehicles in as much as possible under the building before they have to use the street

The room and the facility was clean. Perfect location to stroll around the korea town. The hot breakfast was quality and well maintained. It would been perfect if the ladies at the front desk were a little more friendly, but they were professional enough.

Room - although it was clean, it smelled musty. The pictures showed wooden floors, and our room was carpeted. Our window looked into another guest’s room. The buildings are very close to each other. Our room door would vibrate whenever someone else closes their room door. Unfortunately, you can smell marijuana in the halls. Parking - we return to the hotel in the evenings, and the lot was usually full, so we had to valet as the vehicles were double-parked. Amenities - good breakfast options, area had limited seating. I appreciate the filtered water dispenser in the lobby. Location - we could hear sirens throughout the night and gatherings in the hotel rooms around us. Staff were helpful when asked. Thank you.

Stayed here for the night during the weekday and had a great experience. The room was clean and nicely maintained, with comfortable beds and fresh sheets. The AC worked great and was quiet, which made for a good night’s sleep. I really liked the breakfast options and the clear menu display. Parking came with a small fee but was very convenient. Overall, a pleasant stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very noisy with squawking birds outside our window for half the night both nights of our stay and a very loud garbage truck early the 2nd morning. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the room was very small, dark and dreary. Disappointing view(alley and an apartment)

The property does not have enough parking space for all the guests, so valet parking was required. The Expedia description indicated that parking was free, but there was a $15 fee. On the plus side, the valets did an excellent job of managing the parking.

Check-in was good, clerk was friendly; checkout person wasn't as friendly. Room wasn't great. Spacious and nice to have a fridge and microwave, but the floors were uneven, pillows smelled musty, and the fridge made a sound all night that required that we play a sleep meditation to mask it. Which worked until early in the pre-dawn hours when something was happening on the floor above us that was constant movement, heavy footing. Needless to say, it was difficult to sleep. Keurig coffeemaker didn't work, and the coffee at breakfast was not good. Parking cost was fair for the area, although the parking is hard to come by in the lot. Glad we didn't have to do the valet/stacked parking since we opted to take Lyft to & from the event we were attending.

The room was clean, the staff was very nice. There was a parking attendant who was very nice and able to get our car in and out of the small parking garage. Lots of walking distance restaurants and shops.

Overall the room is clean, but there’s a smell when you turn off the AC, the bed and pillows is very comfortable and clean. The only issues I had was the parking is very limited sometimes you have to park on the side of the hotel which is unsafe because there’s a homeless encampment 2 blocks away from the hotel, one time there’s group of homeless standing on the side of the hotel at night.

Great place

Ignoring inconsiderate people who slam doors and talk loudly in corridors this is a good hotel. Convenient for the metro, good size room, comfy bed, good breakfast although can be busy.

Very nice property nice staff. Room was very nice.

The only downside to my stay was that the bathroom has no option to put my toiletries. I enjoyed the room, the bed was comfortable, it has a desk and fridge, there is complimentary breakfast offered in the morning, the hotel offers parking on site for a fee, the hotel is within walking distance to multiple great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, you can walk to H Mart to grab a few items.

Pictures of property on-line matched exactly. Added treat was free breakfast and microwave in the room. Lobby has complimentary coffee and a variety of snacks( although pricey) was appreciated. Products are also available to purchase for an unexpected headache or upset stomach

GOOD LOCATION

Comfortable, close to everything, pleasant staff, reasonable parking cost. Plenty of food options you can walk to.

I’d like to point that the gym equipment needs to be fixed- 3 machines : 1 treadmill ( middle ) does not work- walking interruption which is not safe, eliptical machine does squicky noise and the cable machine ( last one at the end ) - the cables don’t pull smoothly- they need to be replaced. In addition, it would be much appreciated if the breakfast will have a gluten free bread or bakery. Other than that, wonderful place to stay!

It was an easy stay however the building itself felt a little run down. The rooms themselves were great aside from that!

Excellent customer service. Breakfast was great. The location was easy access and walkable to all stores and restaurants.

The only item to improve is internet access across the entire hotel. The business center needs to be upgraded, and Wi-Fi in the rooms lagged a great deal. When I left the Wi-Fi, I was able to complete more business as needed on my phone, but I needed to use my laptop.

It’s clean. So many places to go for eating

Very clean hotel. I stayed there with 3 kids. They served breakfast and had a parking garage for $15- a must if you’re staying near downtown. We stayed there to go to a baseball game and it was very close to stadium. The area felt safe and mostly clean. A few homeless a couple blocks up on the Main Street but overall a safe feeling even arriving at night. Plus they have a security guard. I will definitely be staying there again.

I’ve stayed here many times and always enjoy it. The location is perfect for the things I like to do in the area, and it’s just a short walk to the subway, making it easy to get around. The neighborhood can feel a bit sketchy in one direction, but head the other way a block or two and it’s really nice. The hotel is always clean, the rooms are fairly large, and it’s consistently a pleasant stay. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Property was clean. I didn't see or do much, it was simply a rest stop on my travels. No complaints.

Overall decent location found street parking almost every night just had to feed the meter by 8am the next morning except on Sunday. Breakfast was decent daily.

Not a first class hotel but the services are great!

The first night the ac was very noisy and would turn on and off ( economy) so it was hard to sleep but the next morning I checked it and turned the constant fan on and problem solved ! Otherwise everything else was perfect for us!

This property is in a neighborhood that has some homelessness, but nothing to be worried about. The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. Not a single bug seen. It is conveniently located near the metro station that is easy to use and inexpensive. If you are traveling to Universal Studios it is the best way to get there. At the Universal City stop, you hop off and get on a tram to the park. There isn't a lot of food nearby to walk to. Do try Supamu for spam sushi and try Oakobing for the killer shaved ice, just around the corner of the hotel. We would stay again.

Area around the hotel is dirty with homeless people. The room was okay. The fridge had a loud buzzing noise that I couldn't get to go away. The breakfast was really good though!

The hotel is not that new, but the place is well taken care of. Breakfast is the normal hotel breakfast, but the 2 women working and rushing around cleaning and restocking constantly. Front staff is helpful. Parking guys and helpful. With all the hotels with reliving service, this place is keeping up good service.

We came late and had hard time getting a parking. Had to park in the streets during our first night.

What a pleasant stay! The hotel parking was convenient and very reasonable. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Happy that they allowed early check in after a overnight journey from Sydney, offered most desirable breakfast on ck in. Needs to be careful how they manage meat and veg items. I would request them to keep tray away from each other. Staff were very professional and friendly. I would recommend them for those look for deshi food, nearby Little Bangladesh and many deshi restaurant.

Breakfast is great!

The staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was also wonderful. The room was a little stuffy when I came in and had a weird smell but other than that, it was an alright stay thanks to the lovely staff.

Everyone who worked there was super nice and friendly. From the parking attendant to the front desk, random maintenance workers and cleaning staff. However, the place itself was a little ramshackle. It felt like it was held together by a wish and a prayer in certain areas. The holder for the shower head came off for example. Everything felt a little cheap and ready to break. BUT that being said, the stay wasn't unpleasant and it was a nice central location for anything we planned to do. A bit noisy, but it's LA... what are you gonna do?

We thought the room was a great size and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a hotel. Staff was all great. The valet wasn’t too expensive either.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was a bit manic in the morning - very small but offered a reasonable selection. The only mirror was in the bathroom which wasn’t great for 3 ladies and there was a lack of plugs which could accept an adapter. K-Town although well located is quite run down with rubbish around and a strong smell of urine and the homeless.

The staff was very nice. Some things were a bit in need of attention (fitness room had no water, older equipment) but everything was functional and clean.

The place would be better if carpet is replaced.

The hotel had a pretty decent gym and they served free breakfast which was really nice. It was very clean and spacious. It was also very close to all the spots in Koreatown. Would book this place again! I didn't like that I had to pay for parking but it wasn't expensive at all and very affordable.

We stayed there to go to a Dodger game. The location was good, taking all side streets to the park.

The only thing I would suggest that it is stated parking is not free, but you must pay a additional fee per day for parking. This was not communicated before I booked. Overall stay was good.

Years ago, parking was free, but not now, you have to pay, and there's only 1 hotel working watching and moving the cars,...friendly staff,...excellent location, right in Koreatown, walking distances to many eateries and bars,...rooms either too warm if AC not on or too cold when on,...breakfast was good, but now the hotel workers serve you the main dishes, like the eggs or breakfast meats

I had to get a room for my mom and aunties who had a lot of luggage. The room we booked was 2 queen beds and the first thoughts my mom had was that it was spacious, clean, and nice. Would definitely book another room in the future if our plans find us in Los Angeles again!

Breakfast was perfect

Though the location was convenient for getting around to local eateries, the parking situation is incredibly difficult. I guess due to its hotel size and location, the maximum allowance for vehicles in their parking space was about 10ish cars- something that I am not used to when staying at hotels in LA/So-Cal. Overall I think this hotel is fine to stay in for short trips

Parking was insufficient. Huge rats in the parking area. Not a great neighborhood. Rooms were decent no complaints about the rooms or staff.

Entrance and lobby were very small. Parking was cramped. A nice continental breakfast was served. Location was good for visiting Korea town.

Great staff. Only issue was parking. First night no spots. Luckily the security person let us park in the EV spot. Breakfast was good. Overall condition of the property was excellent. I would stay there again if my travels bring me back to the area.

Pillows are very thick and small like a ball. Not able to use it. one of the pillow cover smell. Bed is not firm. could not sleep the whole night.

The property was in a convenient place for the Peterson Museum and the Tar pits. The parking was terrible!!! Very limited and overnight they had a valet parking the cars in like sardines.

The security guard was nice and recommended a good place to eat.

The floor needed to be cleaned behind furniture and bathroom could use upgrading. But price was good and overall ok. You need a new toaster that works faster in breakfast area.

Access to parking with 24 hr security was nice .. hot coffee and cold water available at front desk . Our room was clean and very well kept .. big screen television with Netflix app availability if you were a member .. staff were helpful with check in & free breakfast was nice :)

The hotel itself wasn’t bad. The breakfast was pretty good! But the area is very bad! Very unsafe area!! We almost turned around and went looking for another hotel because we didn’t feel safe even driving through the area! Graffiti everywhere and trash everywhere! Will never stay at this hotel again!!

Staff was not friendly, parking was a mess, and we paid for parking, but had to park on street, far away!

I wanted to be ok with this place and trusted the positive reviews for what it is. Unfortunately, this was a bad stay and I wish more people would have said that so I’m writing a review for others. Stayed one night for business. First, I picked this hotel for the EV charging not knowing they are only Tesla chargers. So I then spent most of my evening looking for alternative charging. So be warned. I am comfortable with city and know a Koreatown but I did not feel safe in this block or at the hotel. The street noise and hallway noise is pretty bad even on a Tuesday so bring ear plugs. There was no water and the tub wouldn’t drain—yuck! But then the worst is that when I left to go to my work, I was shocked to find my car was buried behind multiple cars they valet park. The poor guy was doing the best he could but it took time and I was late. Pros: bed was comfy and breakfast was actually pretty good. People really nice. But still will not return.

It is in L.A. metropolitan area, so the streets are not as clean - which of course isn't the fault of the hotel. But it does affect my initial impression. Also, the hotel has a tired look. I think the room can use a lighter, more cheerful paint and curtains. However, it is clean and the room service staff is great. The front desk staff is very courteous and helpful. Try the coffee machine next to it. The coffee is nice and could safe you a few bucks from buying a Starbucks coffee down the road. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again. I hope the hotel can make the improvement - it is not costly, and it could be done incrementally. It would give a far better first impression.
