I reserved a double queen room but when I got there there’s none available and gave us a musty single king bedroom.

We stayed in room 101. Very clean compared to other HGI’s I’ve stayed in. Very nice staff. Decent breakfast, well stocked up until service ended. Hard boiled eggs, scrambled powder eggs, pork sausage and seasoned potatoes, yogurt, few cereals, pancake machine and some pastries and apples. I appreciate their 24/7 coffee station that is well stocked with real 1/2-1/2 as well as coffee mate flavors and teas. Lobby is nice and clean, parking was easy. Nice pool area and fitness area. They dose the rooms with heavy air fresheners which made it very challenging for me and my child.. we both allergies and asthma. And the scent is everywhere, in the rooms, the lobby and bathrooms it’s like you can’t escape it. Terrible for guests with compromised health issues plus they are subjecting all guests to exposure to these unnecessary chemicals. Clean should smell like nothing. I would urge management to reconsider the heavy use of these fragrances. If the hotel is well cleaned and maintained-the excessive scents are not necessary.

My complaint is I was charged full price when I paid with Klarna my money was not returned. I stayed in the hotel for seven days, and my last morning there I asked the maid for wash clothes and towels at 8am she was rude and told me have to go to the front desk!

I was relieved to find this hotel on Expedia. I had no idea where it was located but Google got us there amidst DC area traffic. The breakfast was good. The two negatives were 1) our room smelled like dirty socks and 2) getting in and out of the property was tricky.

The best hotel we’ve stayed at… staff friendly and accommodative. The morning breakfast was very nicer with large seating area. I’d definitely stay here again when in area. Very close to Auto train so was a perfect stay.

Was very disappointed on May 7 after arrival at 100am my reservation for 2 queen bed was not available , i sdk for 3 adult &1 child, they gave me king bed we all have to sleep there couldn't cancel c's they said it was too late, if i knew you don't keep my reservation i would cancel it no need to wait till last min no one was willing to help very disappointed , will never book again

The hotel has nice clean rooms and large bathroom,. It Also had a small microwave and refrigerator placed where it was accessible, but not in the way. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast pancakes and cinnamon rolls were not something my family wanted to have again.

Felipe was very welcoming at the front desk. All the great cookies were gone before we arrived at 5 so he offered for us to select a treat from the snacks for sale. He also helped us decide on a restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was average. It could have been better with pancakes or waffles but we were lucky to get one of the last warm cinnamon buns which made up for it. The bed was very comfortable and our room was very quiet. The accessibility of the bathroom was off. There were no hooks anywhere to hang a towel so you couldn’t dry off before getting into the wheelchair unless you were mobile enough to get up and walk to the counter where the towels were. The amenities in the shower were on the opposite wall far away from the shower seat. And of course the water got all over the floor, not all down the drain. All in all we enjoyed staying there and would again. Parking was steep at $9 but if they can get away with charging it they will do it.

Conveniently located off the freeway, this hotel was clean with decent service. However, the $9 parking fee was a letdown, and the breakfast was only mediocre.

This property is a convenient and budget friendly place to stay in the DC area. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. My room was on the first floor and it got a little noisy at times near the elevator lobby but no other complaints.

I only stayed one night so I can only comment on a few things. Our room was clean and the staff I engaged with was friendly and helpful. One disappointment was that there is a $9 fee for a parking pass for their lot. I think that’s ridiculous. I travel often and I’ve never been charged a fee to park in the hotels lot.

This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn Express by IHG and I have already become a new member. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed and linen, the 'cool' little specialties like the extra movable table that even adjusts the height for your needs! (Perfect for my extra bed-side table!) Their breakfast was fantastic, and if you missed it, there is a great little retail area next to the 24/7 front desk. I was most impressed by the kindness and warmth of the two Front Desk Staff Members, Shawn/Sean(?sp) on Day One, and Lisa on Day Two. Shawn with his sweet & energetic personality, which fit me perfectly, and Staff Member Lisa, a smart professional & kind advocate for my critical health care needs at that time. Let's see..... It was difficult when I found out you are a "No Cash" facility since I was there in a terrible and emergency situation.... including a jumbo Storm outside. But I am up to speed with digital assets and the Blockchain Network, so all is well. Also, I am a lightweight and the door into the room is a bit heavy to hold while moving with a luggage cart. However I am pleased that it is solidly secure!

I wanted a first floor room but we were told the first floor was for pet owners. Due to our concerns we went to the second floor. I think having an entire floor available for pet owners seems excessive. Perhaps reserving some "Pet Free" rooms for other clientele wanting a first floor room would be a better option for all.

I stayed a few days at this property and each day Lisa at the front desk assisted me with all of my needs. Maria, the Housekeeping Manager assisted me with my Housekeeping needs. Kyle the Hotel Manager was especially kind and helpful. It is rare to find the whole staff happy and kind. I am grateful! I will definitely stay here again.

My room was spotless. I loved everything about it. Both the night staff and the day staff were courteous and helpful. I’m keeping track in my room number so I can stay in the same one again. I should mention that the the man on the desk when I signed in, was exceptionally good at his job. I missed breakfast.

I didn’t try breakfast while there but the staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. It’s also super close to the highway and many shops. And the closest hotel to the auto train.

The shower has mold in the corner of the shower.the shower head only had a low speed of water coming out. The water was to be shut off for 1 hour from 11-12. I was going to stay an additional day but after that, I changed my mind and left.

Always a pleasure. Clean. Donut shop close, gas station, 7-11, pizza, Mexican, cold stone. All within 2 min walking. Great place to be stuck if need be. Hospital across the street and nice development surrounding the area.

Family of four for four nights. Initial room smelled like dog. Staff had us in a different room in 15 minutes. Manager wanted to check it before he gave it to us. Replacement room was great! Everyone from manager to maid and breakfast hostess were so pleasant and helpful--with a smile! Whatever request we made, they were on it immediately with a smile. First night a homeless guy was outside the door. He never returned. Coldstone Creamery and really good Mexican restaurant, Naty's, share same parking lot. Bed was a little soft for me, but wife liked it. Everthing was clean. Breakfast was very nice but you have to get the item you want quickly or wait till they bring more.

The front desk representative, Felipe was extremely helpful is getting me moved quickly to another room, apologized and took a photo of the incident. The hotel appeared clean; however, housekeeping needs to check the ENTIRE room, not just clean the beds. Upon entry to the other room, felt cleaner; however, strands of hair in the bed

We have stayed in motels the last two weeks, one day at a time. We have not found one as clean, I am talking the bathroom was clean, the halls were spotless and when they say hot breakfast, they mean hot breakfast. I would recommend this motel to my family for sure. I will stay here again!

I question the requirement for a $25 deposit for possible “amenities• when there were none in the room. I also question why it takes a week to return said deposit.

For the most part, it was fine. What disgusted me was the overpowering wet dog smell. The pancake machine wasnt working, they didn't have any oatmeal, and the OJ and cranberry juice were basically colored water.

The parking lot needs repaving , the handicap access room was too far for wheel chairs and walkers far fro reception and elevators

The room and hallway have a very distinguished scent - not quite pleasant at all.

Stopped on our way home from a road trip! Phillip at the front desk was very friendly and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable!

There's nothing I don't like about this hotel. It's clean, staff is fantastic, very comfortable, great breakfast, nice gym and pool. But it's the staff and cleanliness of the entire property that shines!!

Lisa was incredible! She was patient and professional. She made us feel like she was glad we were there. She is a tremendous asset to this hotel.

strong pet smell in 2 rooms. One room was old, with old a/c and fixtures, old carpeting and strong pet smell. The other room was somewhat upgraded, newer a/c and newer fixtures. But old carpeting with pet smell. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Free parking.

The service from Felipe was excellect. The hotel was getting water fixed so the water was off for a very short time. They provided us with free chicken wings and guacamole and chips. A very nice touch.

Stayed one night on our way up to NJ for a concert. Staff was friendly and welcoming, room was clean and comfortable, toilet didn’t flush though. Breakfast was fresh and actually really good. Was overall a good experience and loved that it was right off I95.

New ownership is addressing many of the issues this location has been having. Staff was clearly trying their best. Breakfast was much better than previously. Maintenance is still not there yet, but they are making improvements. Good value hotel with great location.

Room was in a good location as we were taking the outer train, but the hallway smelled musty and the room smelled musty. The TV did not work and the floors are a little dirty. The staff was good. The breakfast was good.

The property was right off I-95. We felt safe and parking for a U-Haul was easy. The rooms was nice and clean. Slight musty smell from air conditioner and same in the hallways. Breakfast on the weekend could use more staff as there was wait for some items being cooked. The girl in the kitchen was alone and had many responsibilities. Sheila Lambert checked us in. She was great. Fixed an issue with Expedia. Overall a great stop.

I have stayed at this location a few times due to it being right off of I-95, the rates, and is close to many things. My only complaint is that the fan in the bathroom should be on a separate switch or replaced with a quieter one because it was very loud. Since it’s on the same switch as the light, when the light is on, it’s on and it’s loud.

Very easy to check in. Overnight staff was helpful. Morning breakfast staff was accommodating. Wide variety to choose from for breakfast. Everything was hot and fresh. Plenty to eat.

Nice clean and the lady in the front desk was so nice . Beds are so comfy . My grandkids slept so well.

our stay was wonderful, Lisa the agent who checked us in was very pleasant to my family, we need workera like her to welcome guest when they arrive at the hotel to check in. Lisa made our overnight stay very welcoming, i will surely tell my friends and family.

The towels and washcloths they claim are “clean” had visible stains, and I ended up going out to buy my own just to feel somewhat clean. I asked the manager for another room, and they switched me three times—but every single room was just as dirty. When I requested clean sheets, they brought more that were also stained. There was no effort made to properly clean or sanitize anything. The whole experience was disappointing, frustrating, and completely unacceptable, especially considering I was there for a special occasion with my son. I ended up checking out a day early because I couldn’t take it anymore. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you care at all about cleanliness, comfort, or even basic hospitality, look somewhere else.

Stayed here for 4th of July. Had stayed previously and wasn't great in terms of check-in staff, so wasn't expecting much. Felipe exceeded our expectations. He was very welcoming, courteous and professional. Breakfast was not bad at all. Lots of options for everyone. Only critique I can think of is water was not very hot and pressure was not great. Other than that, highly recommend.

Initially we were told there were no rooms available other than 1st floor rooms. These rooms are used to accommodate pet guests and being allergic to most dogs and deathly allergic to cats, I was concerned but seemed to be in a position where I had no choice. I was assured each room is deep cleaned post check out. This non-pet owner could definitely smell the pet odor in the room. It was also musty-like and the AC was on a higher setting, so the air was not circulating. The icing on the cookie was the roach that I killed in the bathroom. I went back to the front desk, and we were moved to a room on the 4th floor. The property seems to have been remodeled recently but there is obviously an issue. I will say that the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and tried to accommodate us as best as he could in a bad situation. Honestly, were I not already on the hook for $177.62 I would have left and gone to another hotel. This seems like it's a high-volume property possibly due to its proximity to the Auto Train station (which is why I chose it) but cleaning practices need to be modified.

When I arrived they were busy and they had computer issues. They were efficient getting people in and to there rooms.

We came pretty late at night and very tired from hiking. As soon as we went into the room, it smelled bad and really hot. It would be nice to get the AC on so that the smell is not overpowering. The hand wash was empty. Overall, I was a little bit disappointed, but the guy at check-in was very friendly

Only down side the wall near the desk needed repainting touches, but other than that lovely stay.

Everything was great about this hotel. The only thing i would try and change is the smell of eggs after breakfast hours in the lobby. Maybe some air freshers

Cleanliness was okay. The bathtub had a slight leak so when showering, you had to have extra towels to soak up the water! The cable TV in the room was out for the duration of the stay; not such a biggie for us as adults, but the kids were going stir crazy. When ever we have to stay in a hotel, we book one with a pool and the pool was closed for 4 of the 5 days we were staying there. Just seemed like a bust (or bad luck on our side).

Amazing place to stay, all the staff from front desk to maid service amazing always on top of things and will answer all your questions, the hotel is safe 24hr, very clean and spacious rooms, noise level non existent, parking great just make sure you place that parking permit or you’ll get tow, very convenient to 95, I recommend these place to anyone visiting the dmv area

Comfy bed, very clean, great complimentary breakfast, several restaurants within walking distance (a Mexican restaurant across the parking lot), convenient to the auto train.

Close to Amtrak Auto Train in Lorton Virginia

The hotel was conveniently off of the highway which made it easy to travel to and from. I did not like the 2nd floor, it smelled like mildew. I asked for a higher floor which wasn’t available so I tried to make the best of it. The bathroom shower area needed renovation and repairs to the shower head. I would stay here again however, I would like a higher floor because they tend to be more up to date and comfortable for my taste.

Hotel staff were welcoming as soon as I walked in the lobby, and the hotel smelled very clean and fresh. The room was spacious and very clean, the toiletries that were provided weren't generic. The buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the staff very attentive. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows were probably the best hotel pillows I've ever slept on lol. The only reason I'm giving a four-star review is because of the air conditioner unit that was in the room. When I walked in I smelt a slight Muskie odor almost moldy. When I looked inside the air conditioner vents they looked filthy, with debris and dirt all over the vents. Other than that I had an amazing stay, and would definitely book again. Almost forgot there is a Mexican restaurant right across the street from the hotel that is really good. There are so many restaurants stores around the hotel which makes it convenient to walk to
