It's always a great stay while visiting North Carolina. It is very well staffed with helpful members and the amenities are very good. It's close to alot of shopping centers and good eats. It feels like a home away from home

Great location, clean spacious room and comfy beds. Parking is free and check-in and check-out were quick and easy.

I am a repeat customer of this Holiday Inn location. I stay here every visit to Leland. The staff is always amazing and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, and clean.

Great location, staff were friendly. Breakfast was great with various options. Room temperature could not be maintained at desired temperature. Room kept getting too warm.

We’ve stayed here before and it was a much better experience this time. What are pressure’s great bed is so comfortable you get the soft and the firm pillows. Downside was our first rooms. Blinds didn’t work so they had to move us to another room and we were told the room was the same size, but it was just a little bit smaller, but besides that the staff was very helpful if you’re wanting to have extra towels pillows, washcloths make sure that you put that in your request when you are booking it’s close to food in a great location to Wilmington and beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was extremely sparse compared to experiences we’ve had at other HIE locations in the past. When we arrived, there wasn’t enough bedding or towels in our room for our party and we were told they didn’t have anymore. Very clean, beds were comfortable, good location, good value.

Do not stay at this hotel. It is substandard, dark, and ugly. No ceiling light in the bathroom. Phone does not work. AC is loud and inadequate. Bed is uncomfortable. The place is noisy. This was my worst lodging experience ever! I checked out after one night, and they are trying to bill me for 3 additional nights. This place is a rip-off!

We came here for a dance competition for our daughter. The location was great with access to plenty of food places. The room was a good size for the four of us. The breakfast was okay, wish there was more variety but overall good if you wanted to grab something quick. Like I said it's close to plenty of food options. Kids loved the saltwater pool and the fitness center was good too

It was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Laura in the breakfast area was exceptional. I told her that if everyone had her work ethic it would be a great world. We returned to our room around 7:30 at night to find a note that our room had not been cleaned due to a do not disturb sign on the door. I called the front desk and was told that they were understaffed and only had 3 housekeepers that day. I could handle the bed not being made but they should have at least left fresh towels.

I appreciate how clean the facility and my room was. It was quiet in the building as well. Breakfast was wonderful and had an array to choose from. Will definitely come back again when in the area. All was good. Not disappointed with my stay.

Dirty very dirty. Couch and pillow cases covered in multiple different hairs . Bathroom needs to be deep cleaned correctly not just surface wiped. Fixtures improperly mounted and falling off .

Hotel and rooms were new. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff seemed friendly. Free breakfast and coffee were decent. Hotel lobby, pool, and eating area were too small. Fitness center had very little equipment. Housekeeping knocked on doors at 9 am and then talked loudly in halls. Laundry room was kept open with music blasting in the morning. Button on phone to front desk for 114 went to 911 and guide did not work on tv.

Staff was friendly, especially night staff. Bed appeared clean. Mud stains on carpet right beside bed. It's the first thing you notice and really sets the tone for the room. Loveseat looked dingy. Breakfast was just ok. Mostly cold and bland. I watched them cleaning the vents in the food prep area during breakfast hours. Seems as though they would wait until after for that.

Everyone was super nice. I always like that every Holiday Inn has baked cookies. You feel welcome there. And Barbara was so friendly and kind doing the morning breakfast.

When we first checked in our assigned room had an odd, unpleasant smell. We asked for a different room and the front desk quickly made the change. Our new room was very clean, didn’t smell bad and was very comfortable. I can’t rate the breakfast because it’s not my thing, but the coffee was fantastic!

Of course that didn’t stop people from coming down the hall being extremely loud. One person even fell outside our room and screamed out in pain. Before we could get up to see if they needed help we heard doors open and close and that was that. While I appreciate there are quiet hours in general I didn’t appreciate the way the whole night went down or the clerks tone. He did offer to move us to another room but by then my husband was ready for bed and we didn’t want to pack up having just unpacked. Maybe they could have isolated those who weren’t there for the party to the highest floor upon check in. While our overnight stay was not relaxing, we did like the proximity to dining and shopping and the property seemed clean and well kept.

We've stayed a 3/4 times this year and loved our stay service and rooms are great but we were put on 1 st floor and we had a dog barking on one side and people above were stomping Evan at 2 this morning the tilt water was running for hours on n off after flush we traveled from Tennessee and it was not a good night sleep for our return travels

There were no hangers in the closet and there was no back on the remote control. Also my wife damn near fell out of the shower when she got in from it being so slick and slippery. But the beds were comfy

Hotel is a bit rundown and the room was not the cleanest. The breakfast staff were excellent. They gave our kids crayons and let them take some snacks for the road.

Everything went well with one exception. There was a dog in the room next to us that was barking continually. Also, the phone in the room did not work.

Amazing stay

We traveled from NY to visit friends and were having such a hard time finding somewhere to stay within our budget. Not only was this hotel in our budget, but was amazing. We were able to bring our dog for such a reasonable fee and the room was very comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious and a great selection. But the real reason our stay was amazing was JENNIFER!! She was the sweetest, most accommodating and so extremely helpful! I would stay there again, just because of her. Thank you for making our trip so smooth!! :)

This was an amazing stay I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel for the weekend. It is in an amazing location, 15mins away from Wilmington and only 30mins from the beach. I will only be staying in this hotel the next time I come back.

This is one of the nicest holiday inns I’ve ever stayed at. Modern look and feel and the staff was very friendly. My only complain is the wifi - it was hard to stay connected!

Our bathroom was dirty. The beds weren't made. Stains all over the carpets and the hallways. Pool was dirty and ice cold. Staff was nice is about the only thing this hotel has going for it.

They were in the middle of renovating the lobby and breakfast area and it was a bit of a mess. When asked why they didn’t let people know that before we stayed, we were told that it IS on the hotels main website but not on outside travel websites. Breakfast was nothing like what the hotel website showed due to being in a smaller room with few food and seating options. Will be returning to the Best Western across the street next time. We’ve been there and enjoyed it much more.

Despite the ongoing renovation, the Holiday Express Leland was fully operational. Louise and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were not inconvenienced in any way. Breakfast was varied, fresh and plentiful, and our room was clean, updated and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Our room could’ve been clean a little bit more. The remote was under the AC and no one knew that, also tea and coffee stains were on and around the microwave and I didn’t see that until last day when checking out. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The room was up-to-date and spacious.

Too many broken items ice machine, no water at breakfast, card keys had to constantly reprogrammed, hallway walls and floors had spill marks all over, and the place was just filthy.

The hotel is under renovation so the TV was a problem because it wasn't setup correctly. Also the phone didn't work in the room so I couldn't get a wake-up call

The coffee was good when they made it. The breafast sucked in my opinion. The mattress made my back hurt 2 mornings.
