The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. We had a beautiful panoramic room, and it was lovely to wake up every morning to the sunrise. Only issue is needing lounge chairs at the pool area too! We will definitely be returning

We enjoyed our stay. Our view from the room was simply gorgeous. It was the most relaxing vacation and will certainly be back again.

Property was very clean and the staff was excellent. The food was great as well, although we only had lunch there one day while enjoying the beach and pool. The hotel was located close to tons of restaurants and shopping. It was the perfect location.

The staff went above and beyond for us during our stay. I wanted to recognize Emil and Shanae especially for accommodating our request during our stay. They genuinely care about their guests and go above and beyond. We had a beautiful suite with a view of the ocean. The beach access was wonderful and having service on the beach was great. Highly recommend this place.

For the first 2 mornings there was coffee in the bar for free at a table. The other 5 mornings the coffee was behind the bar and $2 a cup. Some mornings there was no one behind the bar so we just had to get someone to pour a $2 cup. Richard (the owner) didn’t come in until about 8:30. It’s a small thing getting a cup of coffee, but why would he start charging us?

We were greeted by the owner and he was very nice and friendly Richard is also an amazing cook!! Definitely try his dishes if you stay at his resort

This is a great property! ITs quiet- nice pool and beach area- the onsite restaurant has very personal service- the chef, who is the owner- comes out to visit with you, and prepares especially for you. The food and wine were excellent! We asked to upgrade from a standard room to a balcony room, and they were very helpful, and we moved to a top floor, corner king suite. I would strongly recommend booking a king suite- there's plenty of room, a full kitchen- balcony overlooking the ocean, and very quiet. This was an all around great find! We definitely will return!

Our stay was excellent; the facilities and staff were very welcoming. The only suggestion I would make is to include fresh seafood options on the menu—such as ceviche, for example—but otherwise, everything was fantastic.

Overall we had a great stay. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. We also really enjoyed that the hotel is adults only, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. The only issue was the AC in our room, it didn’t cool enough, and other guests mentioned it had been like that for a few days. Hopefully that gets fixed soon because everything else about the hotel was great.

Had an oceanfront room. It was very roomy and the staff was very accommodating.

Nice rooms with kitchenettes. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient parking in front of property. Great location on the beach and near downtown. Liked the pool and private beach. Only downside was that you had to pay a daily rate to use beach lounge chairs and umbrellas and there were no lounge chairs or umbrellas by the pool.

Our stay was lovely. The view was spectacular. The room clean and the little kitchen spotless. The hotel is located only a short walk to restaurants and cute beach front area. It is a smokefree hotel but there was a smoker located in a room below us that smoked on the balcony.....reason for 4 stars. To enjoy the beach it is only a few steps away. Very picturesque setting. loved it and the staff helpful and friendly. There is security at night so very safe and we never had any trouble finding a place to park the car.

Pros: The oceanfront view from our second-floor room was absolutely incredible! We had a perfect view of swaying palm trees, the soft sand, and the rolling waves. The living room and balcony were perfect for enjoying the scenery. The staff were also fantastic—friendly, helpful, and genuinely eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Cons: When we first entered our room, the scent of a strong room deodorizer hit us, which quickly faded. However, the underlying musty/moldy odor became more noticeable the next morning. Unfortunately, there are no windows with screens or ways to ventilate the room, and the balcony door has a list of rules that specifically state you shouldn’t prop it open. This made it hard to air out the mustiness, and as a result, I struggled with allergies during our stay—my nose was constantly runny, and I couldn’t sleep more than six hours each night. To be fair, my husband didn’t notice the smell, but I’m quite sensitive to odors and have mold allergies. If you're sensitive to these issues, it might be worth looking into other lodging options.

We were treated like royalty by the entire staff. Marko was a Prince. We won’t being staying anywhere else in the future. Bravo Sea Lord!

I was impressed with the warm welcome and the quick and easy check-in process. The hotel is located right off the beach and close to many shops and restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend the Sea Lord hotel and suites for short and long stays.

After a long trip to get to this hotel we were very disappointed that the restaurant that was advertised as being open for all meals was completely closed so no food at all. Was told the restaurant was not open because the owner was not there, strange. That was our first disappointment. When entering our room the first thing we discovered was a dirty rag in the sheets which I took to the front desk. This female staff member was very apologetic about this. On the last morning the toilet would not work after several tries, so final straw. We were so disappointed we decided to leave a day early but we could not inform anyone because there are no staff members on duty at night or early in the morning when we attempted to checkout. When trying to call front desk a security guard answered but said there was nothing he could do and that someone would be in at 8am. Went to the front desk at 7:45am While there waiting there was another guest that was disappointed and also attempting to check early. We waited until 8:10 and no front desk person showed up We left a note at the front desk that we were leaving and to please credit our room for that day and to call us to confirm. A male staff member did call and said it should be no problem but he had to ok it with a manager and would call back. When he called again he said they would not credit the room back to us and they had checked and the toilet was fine, very strange.

They had free internet however their internet connections did not work. There was a total of 5 choices we could connect to and the connection would last 1 minute then disconnect. Very very frustrating. If internet is something you use a lot or run a business this place is not good

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The exterior around the pool and leading out to the beach was nicely decorated and well kept. There was some construction/remodeling going on but things are looking like new. The kitchen/chef was taking a break in the off-season but there are many restaurants/bars about an eight minute walk down the road.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Sea Lord. Amazing staff and the location can’t be beat. For those looking to book and want to stay on the beach most days. There is a charge of $10.00 a day for the lounge chairs and $20.00 a day for the umbrella. We can not wait to plan our trip again.

It’s a great location and a cool older hotel. The air conditioner in my room was not good. I called to ask about it and the owner told me all the reasons I wasn’t hot. How does he know what I like. He was arrogant and condescending. The price is good but for a few dollars more you can stay cool and not be berated.

Very nice place if you want to avoid children and be very close to great local restaurants and shopping. The staff is very helpful. The beach is beautiful and it has easy access. The landscaping makes it very private and luxurious.

The hospitality was above and beyond, the owner and chef Richard and staff member Marco as well as everyone I interacted with at the desk were both friendly, welcoming and incredibly accommodating. The rooms are gorgeous, the view is outstanding (beach view rooms), and the private beach and pool is both beautifully decorated and fantastic for a quiet getaway.Richard’s food is fantastic and you must try the Montenegrin wine! I was in Florida but it felt like I was in Europe. A wonderful oasis.

The place is clean and nice, very close, only at three blocks, to the Center of Lauderdale by the Sea, two blocks full of restautantes and entertaiments at night. Definitivelly we will back soon.

What a fun place to stay and right on the water! We had a fabulous meal, walked about .8 mi to the restaurants and had a GREAT stay before our cruise. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others!

I loved the location. But unfortunately the floor in my room was extremely dirty and when I first walked into my room it was extremely hot and muggy. I had to crank the AC for the entire first night I was there just to get the temperature up to where it was bearable.

The rooms are extremely dated, pool area is not conducive to lounge chairs. If you want a lounge chair you need to rent one and it’s only allowed on the beach. We prefer the pool area and not the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Lord Hotel. The location and grounds are gorgeous. Our little room was comfy. The bed was not too hard.

Bad news: the room looked right out of the 1970’s. The bar was not open on either evening I was there.

It was nice and quiet. The room was clean. I would for sure stay again when I need a staycation so I can really enjoy it. It’s the perfect location to enjoy the beach and nice restaurants.

Beach lounge chairs, though available, were quoted as $10 daily. I would suggest you keep track of any additional expenses that you may not expect. Other than this I would rate this facility a 4 out of 5.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was so accommodating and friendly. Food was fantastic. Beach outside pool, we had a patio. Just a wonderful place and wonderful hotel. Highly recommend.

I have stayed at the Sea Lord in the past and always a great place...quiet, relaxing, nice beach with chairs for rent. Staff is friendly! Very nice place!

The hotel should advise guests ahead of time the pool has no heater. The dismissive attitude of hotel management makes me want to warn others to not spend their hard earned money on such a poor guest experience.

We booked a week at The Sea Lord along with three friends. We all had a great time! The hotel staff was wonderful: friendly and accommodating. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. The grounds were impeccably maintained as well. The hotel was an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. We look forward to future vacations at The Sea Lord!

Hotel was beautiful and staff was very friendly. The ocean was steps behind the pool. Only wish the restaurant and the poolside bar was open, otherwise it would’ve been a perfect trip. We do plan on returning here to stay in the near future and hopefully enjoy a dinner in the beautiful dining room!

This property is very clean and the staff is down to earth and very accommodating. It's right on the ocean and yet you are in walking distance to all the local hangouts. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved this property! The view from our room was second to none. We could watch the sunrise every morning from our bed or balcony. The staff was amazing. So friendly, and they would go above and beyond with any of our requests! The maid service everyday was wonderful! The facility has a laundry room which was super handy, but bring quarters because the property doesn’t have much cash on hand as they are mainly a card only facility. With that being said, Tatiana helped us rummage up the quarters we were short. Just one example of the staff going above and beyond to help! There were chairs $10 a day and umbrellas $20 a day that the staff would set up for you. Totally worth it in our opinion. One thing to note - if you plan on cooking meals in your room, there are a few pots and pans and enough dishes for two people. You may have to pick up extras such as salt and pepper and oil and paper towels for cooking an easy cleanup as those weren’t available in room. It did not distract from the awesomeness of this place, but I thought I would mention it so you could be prepared. It was only a short walk to Lauderdale by the sea with food/drink atmosphere. I didn’t realize how lovely Lauderdale by the Sea was. It was just our speed.

It was super close to our friends and all the night life. Had a great time. Will come back.

Property was under construction so not everything was available, but the location and our room overlooking the beach was great.

We were panicked and running from Hurricane Milton when we found a room at the Sea Lord. Richard, Tatiana and the rest of the staff of this hotel are amazing. They were currently undergoing a major renovation, but knowing the residents of SW Florida needed someplace to go, they opened rooms up that might not otherwise have been ready to rent. I absolutely applaud them for that! Every hotel we saw was under some kind of renovation or another, this is off-season, and that's the time they have to do it. Was the pool under construction, yes - who cares - there is a gorgeous beach and beautiful ocean right out your back door! We know they were understaffed, but we would not have noticed. They did anything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We live on the coast, so going to the East coast would probably not have been a thought for us as a getaway, but it will be in the future, and it will be at the Sea Lord. It was outstanding!

Tatiana was phenomenal! She was very attentive and helpful! We will definitely be back in the future!

While the staff were accommodating and gave great service, the hotel is under construction, noisy and has inadequate parking. The hotel is convenient for night life and dining. The pool is closed and under construction.

Small hotel but very quiet and relaxing. The beach was beautiful. Staff was very attentive and rooms were clean. Rooms on Oceanside had great views of water. Small street at front of building was excellent for morning walk with plenty of shade. Pool also next to beach.

If you are looking for a quiet place away from the bustle, this is the place.

Clean, newly remodeled hotel. This is not your traditional hotel. It is more of a classic Florida beach style hotel. It is clean, the staff is nice, friendly, and attentive. It is quiet, private and idea if you’re a couple looking for something not too big, not a lot of people and very nice. Also it is just a 5min walk to the peer where there are many options for food and fun. There is food and drink at the hotel if you don’t want to leave. The beach is just step out the back of the hotel. This was a great stay.

I cannot say enough good things about this property and the staff, down to the owner. It was beautiful, extremely clean, service was impeccable!

The room was hot. even with the a/c turned as low as it would go and fan as high as it would go. the room was hot!

After a not so good check in (initial room assigned was unacceptable with overpowering mold smell that was making us feel sick, unlockable balcony door and unlockable front door bolt lock) front desk staff (Tiona) worked to get us a better room. The suite we ended up with 30 minutes later was a superior room, better layout and amazing ocean view at same cost. Everything worked. No mold or mildew smell. We settled in and had a wonderful week’s stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again in the future.

Great stay, location, view, staff. AC and thermostat appear to be very old and possibly not functioning properly. Room was hot despite max AC (ok at night, hot during day). I notified front desk at checkout and she said she would inform maintenance.

This was our second stay at this property. We love the hospitality of this smasher quaint hotel. We will be back!

My stay at the Sealord was what I needed to rest and reset. Richard the chef and owner and his son Emile were amazing hosts. I had not tried Grupa fish and Richard prepared an incredible meal for me that included a delicious linguine. He also cooked my breakfast everyday. I WILL RETURN NEXT TIME I NEED A REST. Access to the beach and pool were also very convenient.

As noted by other travellers this building is old and unfortunately has a serious issues with musty odors amd molds which the owner and staff do their best to mask with the use of Febreeze, in-wall scent plug-ins, bleach etc. The overwhelming odour of the perfumes when you first walk in is the first clue. It sadly doesn’t get better from there on. I have visited 3 different rooms and all were terribly musty smelling. The ones with sofas in it smelled of mould. My partner is extremely allergic to mould and left the room at 11pm the night we checked in to sleep elsewhere. I stayed until morning to try to air out the space but ultimately left at 8am as I too was feeling unwell. The views are the best. The staff is so nice but seems to have many roles. The lady who checked us in was also our waitress and helped the chef prepare food in the kitchen. The food was delicious but in the end had to leave due to health symptoms and honest concerns about mould. Their reply after bringing up my concerns was: there can’t be mould or must because the room was remodelled which should give potential new clients even more reason to be concerned. Beautiful, great staff but sick building which no amount of cleaning products can fix.

Wow! The reviews don’t lie. The service here was top notch. The hotel was clean and clearly well maintained. Our room even had a little fruit platter with a hand written welcome note upon our arrival! 100% would come back and stay here again. The area was close to local places to eat and some nightlife. We aren’t partiers so it wasn’t imperative to our stay that we be near bars and such, but there were multiple within a short 8 minute walk. My wife was allowed to stay after check in and enjoy the pool and beach access while I was in class (the main reason for our stay).

We have stayed at the Sealord multiple times and it is our favorite place to go to on Lauderdale by the sea. It’s a perfect location, extremely convenient, walking distance to the LBS restaurants and bars. And of course, the beach is right there at your feet. Love the staff there and really have loved all the rooms I’ve stayed in. It’s our fave!

This is truly a hidden GEM absolutely amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the service and personal chef experience. The room was absolutely perfect with a beautiful ocean view and balcony. The areas is perfect with amazing restaurants and night life! The ladies at the front desk are very sweet, knowledgeable about the area, helpful in each and every way! The ladies and gentleman helped my boyfriend plan a romantic candle light dinner for my birthday!! by the pool right in front of the ocean, took pictures and provided an absolutely once in a lifetime experience that had me in tears❤️ the personal chef was amazing! Along with the service from Tatiana was the best experience you could ever dream! The private beach area and pool side very quiet and calm! Adults only! Very nice guests as well! Housekeeping was fabulous!! We will be back very soon!

We absolutely loved The Sea Lord Hotel. We booked the hotel literally as we landed in Fort Lauderdale. Upon our arrival Tatiana checked us in. Her friendliness and service was superb. The staff was amazing. The hotel has a really great pool and then access to the beach. You can rent umbrellas and beach chairs from the hotel at a pretty reasonable price. We did eat at the restaurant at the hotel. We paid over a hundred bucks for wings (6 count), burger with fries, a turkey sandwich with chips and 2 drinks. Gratuity was included for our party of 2. I have worked in the service industry before, but the service was slow and I would of gone elsewhere. We waited over 20 minutes for our cocktails to be served. For next time I would walk down the street 3 blocks and eat at one of the restaurants. Overall a great short stay. Would definitely stay here again.
