Definitely a budget motel. Two people, two towels. 1 bar of soap. Front desk is staffed part time. Pool seemed ok, but we didn’t use it. Room was spacious. A/C worked very well.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the free parking was a great convenience. The hotel also has a nice small pool, which was a pleasant bonus. The only downside was the receptionist, who seemed quite grumpy during our stay. Overall, however, we had a good experience and enjoyed our stay.

First room we received, the bed was broken. I noticed when I sat on the bed that it dipped in the middle. I lifted the mattress and seen one of the wooden panels that goes across the bed for support was snapped. I immediately went to tell the ladies at the front desk and showed picture's and even when I told them I sat on the bed, they asked me if it happened when I sat on the bed. They afforded to ONLY return my remaining balance which was only 38 dollars and to have someone come and fix it. But they couldn’t offer another room until the next day. A few minutes after we went back to our room a maintenance lady came up to look at the frame. She then left and came back with another broken piece of wood and ONLY placed it over the broken piece. This piece was not secured and only went to the middle part of the bed. Me and my partner had to sleep on a pull out bed. The next morning I went down to the front office to see about another room we were promised. The lady at the front was a different lady than the night before. She gave us our new room key and I went up to the new room to inspect it before we moved. Upon entering the room it was clean but I went straight to the bed to check first. This bed was WORST then the first. Multiple broken boards that had other broken pieces of wood screwed into them. I took tons of pics and went back down to advise the lady. She offered ANOTHER room which we had to wait for. We got ANOTHER room and again the bed was broken.

The hotel provided free parking and they had cable on there tv. They had the famous $10 tattoo shop near by one cross the hotel and another down the block. They had IHOP near by walking distances away. Motor Speedway is 20mins by street. They didn’t have a mini fridge. Hotel look out date, but you are getting what you’re paying for. Kinda didn’t look safe to walk around at night.

The line at the front desk was long and frustrating and when it was my turn I said hi and she ignored me and was very short and annoyed with everything she said it really set the tone for what was a very mediocre stay also the key card to the door didn’t work and neither did the elevator the next morning I would not stay there again since there’s so many options in Vegas to stay at

As we were walking to the room, there was a homeless man filling a glass with water from the fountain next to the pool. Due to these safety concerns, we requested a refund and the staff refunded our money.

The parking and trying to locate the hotel was confusing and difficult. The woman upfront was NOT friendly and sort of rude. They have no bar but have pictures online stating they have one. It was clean and very quiet but I don’t think I’d ever stay there again! I guess you get what you pay for which was $215 for 2 nights, Friday through Sunday.

I really enjoyed the providence of the hotel itself. The location is great. Amenities were nice. Really it seems to me the it’s a problem of Las Vegas as a whole. I am a firm believer in throwing trash into trash receptacles. Nearly everyone I had trash, or even picked up other trash, there was not a garbage can remotely nearby. For suck a big problem (trash everywhere) there is such a simple solution. Bog box retailers should assume most of the blame. But for a visitor, it’s plane gross.
- 1.5/5
I’ve stayed here before, no issues I got bit by something while I was sleeping, on my elbows and shoulder and it was incredibly itchy. There was hair still in my shower drain when I checked in, the room wasn’t fully cleaned.

While waiting for the check-in my bag is stolen at the reception. Because the reception is on the street and someone grabbed and run away with my bag. The staff has done nothing ofcourse. 2- Although we didn't use any amenities, they charge you 19 USD per night. Even you don't have a car, you have to pay for parking as amenity..... 3- Air-conditioner and ice machine (placed out of the room) is making huge noise during the night. 4- Room cards (keys) get deactivated occasionally. You have to find someone and bag for help. 5- There are not enough lightning in the room. You can barely read something. 6- The neighbourhood is not safe at all. Many homeless and drug addicts walks around. 7- The hotel is NOT safe because there is NOT any security around. Random people are walking in front of your room. 8- DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED and worst accommodation I have ever had in my life.

We were eventually told to leave for being “too loud,” while the actual criminal activity on the premises went completely ignored. The drug use made us anxious. When we attempted to resolve the situation and secure a refund for the deposit and five unused nights, the front desk refused to answer the phone and refused to engage with Hotels.com on our behalf. We had no choice but to reverse the charges through our credit card company. Hotels.com should remove this property from their platform immediately. This is not a hotel, it’s a poorly managed operation that puts guests at risk and hides behind non-communication when held accountable. Stay far away.
- 3/5
Parking lot was tight getting in and out of. No micawave, I was thinking every hotel has microwave in the room and bathroom did not have fan.
- 2/5
One reason that I booked this property is that I needed a hotel with an onsite restaurant because my trip centered around long hours at the hospital supporting my brother during a surgery. When I arrived I was advised that the restaurant was permanently closed and was given a 15% discount coupon for a pizza place several blocks away. Also, I was charged almost $70 for an “amenity fee” for…? There were small Costco bottles of water and a single pod of caffeinated coffee. Additionally, I needed to call an engineer to make my in-room phone work (no dial tone). He was awesome but informed me that the receiver just gets stuck on these phones sometimes. No replacement. I’ll say that the staff was was friendly and responsive, and the rooms were very clean - both of which I appreciated greatly. Also, the view from the balcony of the Stratosphere and Vegas vibe was great, especially for the economical rate.

The overall quality of the room itself was acceptable. The brand of toilet paper used to stock the rooms could have been swapped with sand paper and you wouldn't know the difference. The worst part, and the reason for the one star, is that a member of the cleaning staff showed up at 9:17am, knocked, and without waiting for us to answer the door, barged in(we were still in our pajamas) and insisted that our keys had been turned in and we needed to leave. According to his paperwork, we were to check out by 10am(still, it was only a little after 9am), even though front desk staff, and the paperwork we had, stated that check out time was 11am. After arguing with him and getting him to leave long enough for us to get properly dressed, we went to the front desk, and they confirmed again that check out was 11am. By this time however we were quite appalled by our treatment and promptly left. If they needed the room that badly they could have it. Zero chance we will ever book or recommend this hotel in the future.

Overall this was a good hotel. Not sure why it gets the flak it gets but the room was very clean as well as being nice in design. Staff was also nice and focused on making sure work gets done in checking you in and out. Only issue I had was the walls was extremely paper thin so you will hear everything around you sadly. Other then that I recommend the stay

They were not at all in the condition they represented on the google site. To say the least we did not stay in those conditions and we were extremely disappointed. Would not recommend this motel and i give it at 0 rating

Room was canceled due to our flight being canceled due to weather. Called the hotel to let them know we will be checking in next day and not that night and they couldn’t do anything because we booked through Expedia. Tried to get a hold of Expedia was only able to do that through messenger and explain to them the situation and they explained to us that they were not able to get a hold of the hotel. Long story short when we got there the next day they’d give our room away we were not able to check in. We were out that money and had to go to a different hotel the plaza and pay and stay there. I guess things work out for a reason, because the Thunderbird did not look like the pictures from the outside and was quite a ways away from Fremont strip. Our cheap trip turned into an expensive trip.

At check-in I do have to say the staff at the front desk was very friendly and dealing with a lot. When we first arrived, their internet was not working. Something out of their control. The pictures on the internet gave the illusion that this property was nice. No, it wasn't. Parking was a complete joke. If you have a bigger vehicle, you are screwed unless you park in the back and can view your vehicle from your room. The room, the furniture and flooring were redone and really nice, it was a nice touch. The door to the room, had an inch and a half gap under the door, that was definitely not safe considering what I had witnessed outside at check in. We left for dinner but when we came back the light that was coming from under the door was so bright and the smell that was coming from the outside (strong sulfur smell) was coming in from under the gap. We had to put a towel in the gap to keep out the lights and smells. A towel that was covered in someone else's hair that was not mine, nor my husbands or children. And yes, unfortunately I had my children with me, only room we could get that wasn't breaking the bank with all the events going on in town that weekend. I really feel if you are going to charge/hold on the room of $125 plus I think we paid $131 for the room, it could have been in better condition and give them some kind of security not just for the guest but for the employees as well. We definitely did NOT feel safe our one night there.

The place was NOTHING like advertised. It was dingy, broken parts in the room, taped up vents outside, barely working elevator (they actually had to send someone to see if the elevator was even working)...we were on the 3rd floor and my husband has terminal cancer. They were aware. They charged extra for "amenities fee." There were NO amenities! If you wanted to use a microwave, they sent you to the Super 8 motel to use theirs in the lobby! They charge a high security deposit, for a very poor hotel. I did not feel safe at all. Walls were paper thin, I could hear the people in the room next door arguing all night. Would never go back there, nor recommend them to anyone. Only reason they got a 1, besides being the lowest option, is that the security guard helped carry the suitcase for my husband.

I do not recommend this place, only if you are looking for a budget hotel it is ok. Shower was good, no complaint, as we entered we found a cricket on the wall and a small cockroach…I showed them the pics and they did not bothered to not even give me a discount what is usually offered in cases like this.

Hotel is a bit grungy overall, and the location was a bit challenging for Lyft/Uber drivers to locate. Area is not one I'd want to walk around much after dark. Room was okay for a couple nights, but noisy. The bed's wood frame was really creaky, and the noise from outside made sleeping difficult. Got what I paid for I guess. The extra "Amenities" charge caught me by surprise (seeing as what was part of that was essentially just stuff that I am used to having included by default), although that extra cost was there in the details when I first booked it, it had just been too long so I'd forgetten by the time I went to check in.

Not worst not the best. It’s clean everyone was very nice, not much soap in the room so for sure bring your own but an excellent budget hotel I paid 75/night.

It served my needs. I picked this hotel because of proximity to two shows I was ticketed to see. I didnt have high expectations to begin with, but I probably wouldn't stay here again. You get 15% off eating at one of the three restaurants that are provided on a piece of paper when you check in. Unfortunately, it is only a one time use. Front desk will not give you another another piece of paper, even if it lost or destroyed. If you are able to use this redemption at one restaurant, you can not utilize it at the other 2 restaurants. I won over $100 bucks playing the slots at their bar. Overall, if you are staying in vegas for a couple of nights, if you add in their resort fee, for $50 to $100 bucks more you can definitely find a better hotel . You have to exchange your used towels daily for new ones , they will not provide any additional ones . The remote control for the television didnt work. I was unable to watch any TV for greater than 24 hours. I didnt feel the room was throughly cleaned or showers disinfected , but I have stayed at worse hotels . The room was quite spacious, but has no microwave or refrigerator. I would only recommend for a crash night, not a multiple day visit due to limited offerings. But as long as your not expecting 5 star, this will work.

the rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and the checkout process was easy, the distance to the airport was short enough that it was a seamless Uber ride at 4:30 am. Finding this hotel can be a little difficult as it's tucked away just south of the motel 8.

The room was dark, dingy, and had a strong musty odor — like a wet towel that’s been left out too long. The door had large gaps at the bottom (I actually stuffed a towel there because I was worried bugs might crawl in), and the walls were paper thin — you could hear every sound from the neighboring rooms. The DTLV area did not seem like the nicest or safest place to be either. Overall, this property looks nothing like the pictures. If you’re on a very tight budget and have no other options, it’ll do. But honestly, spend a little extra for a place that’s clean, safe, and comfortable.

Based on reviews I booked thinking it would be a cute boutique hotel. I’ve stayed at cleaner and more comfortable motel 6’s. The room wasn’t in the best condition the shower had seen better days. The light switches in my room didn’t always work. Staff wasn’t super friendly, originally they couldn’t find my reservation. I checked out a day early because I was just so uncomfortable and felt so misled on what the hotel would be.

The room could be a lot cleaner and needs freshening up. We could hear everyone all around our room and people outside, all through the night. Questionable individuals hanging around and/or living in some of the rooms. From what we could see, the pool looked clean, but we never used it. It was a cheap stay for the night, but I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would not consider this a boutique hotel at all. I’ve stayed in motels that were better taken care of. Just stay away.

Air conditioner vibrated and rattled and disturbed us inside the room. Person outside in the parking lot talking loud at 4:30 - 5am waking everybody up, then started yelling at the top of his lungs screaming vulgarities. Scared to go outside and no security around until about 8 am

Basically an old motel 6 with some paint slapped on it and newer furniture. My door didn’t fully closed. Super loud all night. I could hear the people in the room next door all night long as well as anyone walking by the room.

The room (#1202) was large and had everything I needed. Bed was comfy. I was all the way in the corner, so I didn't have to deal with noise, but it seemed pretty quiet anyways. Staff at the hotel and the restaurant/bar were very friendly. Parking is free and there's plenty of it. I never had trouble finding a spot. Only complaint is that the WiFi never worked and the water pressure was terrible.

We checked in around 9 pm the front desk staff never welcomed us or said hi, just demanded my ID. We were also charged an additional fee at check in, which everything is supposed to be added on in the app. The beds were pretty hard, light didn’t work in the room, only a small desk lamp. We were passing through Vegas on a road trip and after 16 hrs of driving, needed to sleep. Would not stay again at that weekend rate. $50 per night at best.

You'll want to check their check-in window before you buy. Expedia doesn't and they don't either. I was able to book this hotel at 10:12pm which is 12 minutes PAST the check-in window. I figured that it was Vegas and I didn't look at the check-in times. We were staying just to get a couple of hours of sleep on our way to California so no services rendered. Just kept the money. Filed for a refund from Expedia and Thunderbird and NOTHING. Neither would help get any kind of money back.

Thank you forca great night.

I must clarify that this is not a hotel in the true sense – it’s more accurately a run-down motel that has been given a fresh coat of paint and a flashy website to appear more appealing than it really is. My room was located directly next to an outdoor vending machine. The noise from this machine, combined with virtually no soundproofing in the door or walls, made it impossible to rest. Every time someone inserted coins or used the machine, I was abruptly woken up. The door had absolutely no sound insulation. It felt like I was sleeping outside. Additionally, the pillows were extremely uncomfortable – large, hard, stiff cotton pillows that offered no support or comfort. In the midst of all the noise, this made for a truly miserable night. All in all, this was a very poor experience. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, unless they are prepared for a noisy motel environment that does not deliver what its website promises.

It’s an ok place for a night when you’re in and out but for long stays I wouldn’t recommend it, a bit noisy because it’s concrete out your room so you can hear the luggage rolling and the sheets stained a bit (could of been cleaner) and the floor was dirty paint drips.

I wouldn't book here again. The area where the hotel is located had strange people walking through there. I wasn't able to get much sleep because I kept getting woken up by the other customers being loud and those carts were way too noisy
- 3/5
I can see how this property is trying to renovate an older motel and make it hip. However, the clientele that we ran into seemed very sketchy. There is no one overnight and they put up a sign telling people if they need help to go to the Super 8 Motel next door. The room was sparse. No mini fridge or microwave. It was clean, though, and the beds were comfy.
- 3/5
Didn’t like that they took a deposit
- 5/5
It's near the strip and really close to everything. We needed a place to cool off and found a nice and cheap option. Definitely wanted to stay for longer
- 3/5
I like that we were in a separate area. I didn’t like the comfortability of the bed and the blankets we very thin.
- 4/5
Bed was stiff but over all was good
- 3/5
The stay was good, however the restaurant and bar lounge we were told was closed for renovations. The hotel website did not state this. One of the main reasons we decided to stay here. Small quiet hotel with bar lounge and restaurant.
- 5/5
More lighting but they’re simple and have what’s necessary. Definitely will stay here again, well priced and great location. No complaints.
- 1/5
Property was in unsafe area. The pool was the best amenity there was. It was clean and well taken care of. The rooms did not have microwave or refrigerator. They were requested but there were none for my room. Room was too small for 2 queen size beds and the beds were broken and extremely hard to sleep on. 2 adults and 2 children were too many people for a room that size. Extremely disappointed in the whole thing. Would not have stayed there if we had known how it was!
- 5/5
The check out went great, very courteous staff the room was spacious and clean and the King size bed felt great.
- 3/5

- 5/5

- 4/5
More of a motel, but very swanky.
- 5/5
Nice motel, great location, spacious rooms, parking, walkable area between downtown and the strip on Las Vegas Blvd
- 1/5
This Hotel look NOTHING like the picture…the outside look like a roach motel with crack heads and homeless folks standing around upon arrival…
- 2/5
We stayed 3 nights, and they never clean the room. the bathroom door had a hole. The receptionist were nice and friendly though. People smoking weed on the parking lot.
- 5/5
The property was clean. Check-in was fast and efficient. We were upgraded to a Jr Suite and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and price of our room. Sure they may not be on the main part of the strip, but with the good room prices, one can afford a Lyft/Uber.🙂
- 4/5
The room was newly renovated and clean. However, it's extremely thin walls, so you will here eveything guests staying in other rooms are saying, sometimes even when they are turning in bed. You enter the room directly from the parking lot, which does not feel optimal as the neighbourhood does have some homeless people etc. The front door also had a big gap, entailing that leaves and dust blew in under the door and into the room. The room also did not have a functioning smoke detector (they did fix that though upon our request).
- 5/5
Good stay. Nice, clean quiet room. Big shower with hot water & great pressure. I actually do enjoy having the coffee maker in room The front desk stay were very friendly and accommodating. I was able to check in early & use the pool while waiting. Pool was sparkling clean. I would stay here again
- 1/5
Looks like a halfway home
- 5/5
It was the perfect stay for the purpose of our trip which was EDC. The actual rooms were way better than I expected, given the exterior look. The only downside was no mini fridge and microwave in the room. That really sucked.
- 5/5
I rather like this place and I'll be going back soon! It's a great snazzy feeling of traveling back in my childhood come back, hitting motels along the way, but very clean about it too! They even give you a dinner discount voucher and you can get repeat ones as long as you use the one you get, so no stacking a bunch up, one at a time, but it's still nice since those are a free extra! Doesn't hurt that I love Las Vegas anyway hah but still! Seriously go give Albo's a try if you're visiting, great chicken wings!
- 5/5
Staffs are really good, cost friendly hotel. Just one thing that they are so busy with customer it's hard to get them over the phone. I was warried that my Expedia booking may not went through. However, expedia is well respected for booking. I did not had any problem with my bookings through expedia.
- 4/5
great staff and good quiet place to stay
- 3/5
The Thunderbird is quite a distance from the strip, so everywhere we went was a $20-$30 Uber trip each way. (although it was a holiday weekend, so that may have been inflated) Also, Uber drivers don't know where to pick up at this hotel since the lobby is really hidden, so we just walked to the Viva Las Vegas chapel next door for pickups. The website says there is a bar on property, but it was never open while we were there. The Shalimar Hotel is just a couple doors down and has a great restaurant, so we ate there for lunch each day. The pool was very nice, and they offered parking if you are driving. Overall, not great, but certainly not a bad place to stay on a budget.

The only complaint that I have about this property was that my key card would not let me in sometimes and I would have to go to the office so they could activate it again for me. This could be super inconvenient for someone if they’re out late at night and the office is closed and they get locked out of their room because of it.
- 4/5
Otherwise, exactly as I would expect for a single night stay. Check in was fast once I found the correct lobby. Room was very clean and seemed updated. There could be better lighting in the room. Only two table side lamps and one small lamp on the desk? Another larger room lamp would be good or ceiling lighting; but again, not a huge deal. Shower was good, has nice water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. If you’re looking for just single overnight stay this was very pleasant. Within walking distance of several food choices.
- 2/5
I actually was hoping more than i found from this hotel, to start, when i arrive they weren't able to give me my access card due to inconvenient with key reader machine, then, once i get into my room i couldn't sleep on the bed due to poor bed condition, i used the bed on love seat in order to rest , then i hear mostly night long how the guest up on my room had the same problem, the bed was doing noises, my bed makes my time the worst hotel room I've ever had...

great area, good room & friendly service

All rooms are remodeled. Outside still looks kinda dreary but the room and bathroom were great. It’s a little dark, they need a floor lamp.

Great place if you want a basic room. No frills.

Was a decent stay then we found out housekeeping stole about $100 worth of things from us when they changed our towels out. Would not reccommend

The pool area was a highlight, with lots of different loungers and shaded spots to relax. Plus, there was plenty of free parking, which made coming and going really easy. There were a few hiccups during our stay — our room key kept getting deactivated and we had to have it re-keyed multiple times. Also, while the king bed was a nice size, the mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows were probably the worst we’ve ever had in a hotel. That said, this isn’t billed as a luxury property, so you get what you pay for — and we knew we were there more for the cool experience. The location is fantastic: just down the street from The STRAT on Vegas Boulevard, super easy to get around from there to anywhere else in the city. If you’re looking for a fun, affordable, and very “Vegas” place to crash (and don’t mind a few quirks), the Thunderbird is worth checking out.

Checking in was a chaotic mess. Jumping between two properties. Speaking to one agent who passed me off to another who walks me to another office who has me deal with another person.

Everything was good enough

The property was great if you want something a little less pricy off of Freemont or a lot less pricey than the Strip. Centrally located between Freemont & The Strat and walkable to both (even at night I felt safe but I am a hefty male who it takes a lot to F with). Don’t feel like you’re unsafe because of the location. It is close to the Pawn Stars location and at least10 wedding chapels within 1/2 mile. The room was clean with a rustic decor. There was a very nice walk-in shower with plenty of water pressure and hot water. The bed was VERY firm so if you like a softer bed then be prepared for a harder mattress. There is also several late night eateries nearby as well as more tattoo shops than I could count. Overall I was pleased with my experience at The Thunderbird and would stay there again

Ok for the price. Didn’t care for the location of the property. Will research better next trip

Had male and females come to our rooms looking for a good time. Was asked to purchase drugs. The hotel pictures on Orbitz DO NOT look like the actual hotel or rooms. The hotel room was dirty. Sheets and pillow cases looked and smelled like they had never been washed. Pillows were disgusting. The front desk has bulletproof glass around it. The parking lot was full of garbage and looked like people were sleeping in cars.

I enjoyed my stay it was exactly what I expected from an inexpensive nightly stay.

It is wrong with all room was always clean upgraded. You did and take care of security room department lots. On a regular basis to make sure nothing happen.Looks like there's been upgrade in and remodeling on the property

Horrible WiFi cable goes in and out for hours at a time but besides that I had no complaints

Rooms are very clean

should have I known, I did not book this hotel. And the frontdesk young lady, I hope her attitude is as nice as her nails. 🙄 Room is spacious and clean. But they put too much deodorizer in our room too strong it gave us headache.

It was comfortable, and the staff was polite and friendly. For the price of a night I would stay here again. Professional staff at a reasonable price
- 3/5
The parking lot and side walks were unsat and in need of power washing. Other than those discrepancies, the room was about $15 overpriced for the resort fee that wasn't used or even in resort existence.

At one point, the toilet did not work. Had to call front desk. They did arrive quickly and fixed the problem but was inconvenient. Also, the TV stopped working by the time our stay was almost over. Also inconvenient even though we were leaving that day.
