This is the 3rd time we've stayed here. We love the garden and the birds. Super close to ITHINK Amphitheater. Great for us concert goers. Walking distance to restaurants and the park.

Honestly a very cute place to stay! I really enjoyed the sitting area/ coffee bar with the atrium. Nice place to relax and enjoy the birds!

Outdated room air conditioner- in my suite. Others had mini-splits. So those should be upgraded. The mattress was not very comfortable but somehow got a good nights sleep. Location is best amenity.

Room smelled of mildew everytime the AC stopped. Train tracks right across the street with at least 4 trains waking us. For $187 per night this place was very over rated. Room was extremely small, but we knew this as it was properly represented online.

Great receptionist she is very helpful because also my father is out of the country due to being stuck in Pakistan because his ticket was originally for a few days ago, but because of war, they have delayed ticket and we were still able to make the booking work even though he had paid online, I assumed there are other standards as well so. And it has been clean no noise, no pollution no drama so that is very acceptive as well.

It is across the street from one of the busiest railroad lines in Florida. Parking is questionable.

Unfortunately we had one of the rooms that was not remodeled yet. Looks like they are working on improving the property but the price we paid was unreasonably high.

The buildings are obviously old Florida with updated interiors. Our suite was beautifully renovated

Bare essentials, poor water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink. Kitchen listed untensil and in the drawer was packages of plastic gork and knife from some sort of takeout resturant. Very disappointed

Noisy, dirty, roaches, but cute, close to a great coffee shop. Short drive to beach. Probably better than the SIX. Dogs ok.

Room was cozy and clean, property was charming and welcoming. There were plants everywhere and the parrots were fascinating. There's a small patio with two seating areas and a public laundry area. The kitchenette had a sink, mini fridge, and microwave. The one down side, which is completely out of their control, is the trains being so close - across the street. I definitely wished I had ear plugs for the road noise and the train that woke me in the night. It's a very sweet place though with good late night snacks in walking distance. I would definitely stay there again, but bring ear plugs.

Thanks to previous guests who had signed into their Hulu and Peacock accounts I was able to watch shows, so that was a bonus. I appreciated the large fridge. Pillows were not great, and the towels were kinda hard, if that makes sense. The other guests were a mixed bag. There was one odd guy who kept lurking about and kept his sneakers and a single cigarette outside his door. He was creepy. That said, I didn’t feel unsafe and no one bothered my car that I parked in the alley. Check in time started at 3. Along with a few others checking in, we arrived at 230. No one in office/door locked. Had to call another number to find out front desk person was at another property and would be there in 10 mins. Website indicated lobby is open from 9 am to 1 am. Very irritating after a long day of travel. Next morning we had no hot water to our room. Found a guy that looked like he may work for the motel and told him of our water issue. He came in and checked things out and found out the breaker was turned off to our room. Had to wait a long while for water to heat up Very inconvenient but was rectified. Then discovered our microwave was not working and from what we could figure out was the plug from microwave didn’t reach the strip plug that looked like it was attached to cabinet next to microwave. As guests, I do not believe it is up to us to figure out the extension cords in a room. No one was at front desk either time we needed their assistance. When I was able to speak to the front desk I explained my dissatisfaction and got a lot of attitude back and was told she manages 2 properties etc. Kept asking what is it that I’d like her to do, etc. with a lot of attitude Just told her I’d like microwave taken care of and hot water. This person needs some hospitality training. Only other issue is the Brightline runs extremely close to motel, as well as a freight train, at all hours. Room itself was very clean.

A very charming place! Free coffee in the morning and nice surroundings. The train is nearby but not that bad noise wise. I would return because the management was very accommodating to me. I really appreciated their hospitality.

This place was a hidden gem. Owner Michelle was the nicest person to deal with. The rooms were immaculate. The outside patio with the birds was so relaxing. 10 out of 10 rating.

The room has no heat. I called the desk they said it’s usually warm. No space heater to borrow. I put the electric oven on. The room also had bugs. I killed 5 of them of different varieties.

The hotel is located on a very busy street. Trains go frequently. The room needs a lot of attention and repairs. Hopefully, it was just one night before the cruise, did not have the energy to look for another hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The outdoor coffee area also a very relaxing retreat........with the tropical birds an added treat. This establishment was always quiet, no hustle and bustle, no typical chain hotel noise. I loved my 3 day stay there. Thank you.

Old-fashioned Motel, which was clean. Surroundings were quite nice and the tropical birds were very cute. Great location in Lantana with access to multiple restaurants and a very good bakery.

Staff was awesome. Both the guy and the girl Breakfast??? Parking was horrible. I had to drive around both days waiting for someone to leave to go to my room. My truck is too long for the extra small spaces in the back. I had to park in the turning lane of Dixie Hwy, put my flashers on, get out of my truck and go inside the office to have the man help me to get to my room. People were outside my door all night both nights and kept me awake. I could hear every move they made in their room and outside until very late. Exhausted the next day. Also, all the weird people that hang outside all night, as a single girl, I did not feel safe

The staff member that checked me in was wonderful... she was very courteous, and more than helpful considering my late arrival. She made me feel right at home. she should be given a raise and/or promotion. There was a small leak in the bathroom ceiling due to heavy rains that evening... but, this was easy to overlook because the staff and the rest of my accommodations were so good

Nice big room and it was very clean

Very cute motel style property with lush bougainvillea plants and arches. Very clean. Unfortunately during the middle of the night some noisy heavy construction started up across the street lasting about an hour. However, this wasn’t the fault of the property, but it was annoying. Also the bathroom sink was very slow draining, filling the sink bowl, and taking quite a bit of time to drain.

My room was dirty. The welcome mat was filthy. A light plate was missing from a light switch. The place is rundown and off a main road with cars driving by with music blaring. I checked in, contemplated what to do and decided to check out. The hotel would not refund my money and Expedia was not helpful despite me explaining the situation and indicating I have photos to support this.

Was a little disappointed by the service at the beginning of our stay just felt as if we were not given the best accommodations up front and when we asked to be moved, we received a little push back, but overall stay was good and the staff responsive

There was a stabbing right outside my door at 3:00 a.m. pretty scary stuff. Nobody came to check on the safety of any guests.

Downsides: WiFi was really inconsistent. Worse: I was traveling by myself and deliberately chose a hotel that was going to have hotel staff present at night, for safety. But unlike the website had indicated, the staff were almost never in the office, day or night. This felt unsafe to me. And maybe worst: When I was in the garden area, I glanced into one of the bird cages and saw a rat eating bird food. I'm sorry, but the sweetness of the birds ends where attracting rats begins. The hotel needs to get a handle on this. I'd already checked out but was relaxing in the garden before leaving. When I saw the rat, I left immediately and didn't look back.

We paid extra for a garden room. Not worth the money. Only one roll of toilet paper provided. Room was updated, but shower only had warm water, not hot and major repairs throughout room were needed. A good stay and staff is friendly

The motel did have those two things. However, the advertised accommodations left much to be desired. Although the room was clean. The shower was small annd dark and there was no hot water. Warm showers only. The area where they had a small coffee maker was located is where they several birds in cages and the bird poop was everywhere. One long term guest told us not to use the toaster that was there because she had seen rats around it in the past. There was a train track on the other side of the road from the motel that ran continuously and the noise was disturbing. We paid for three nights but left after two.

1) We arrived at 11 pm and there was nobody at the reception. There was just a sign with a telefone number to call (no wsapp, just calls!!), what it meant a big problem for us that we didn't have a US phone to call. We had to ask a lady to call for us and then wait like 10 minutes for the guy to arrive. 2) The bedroom had an awful smell, a mix between humidity and lack of fresh air. 3) last but not the least, they charged us more than what our reservation said. We asked the guy in charge and he said there were other fees and whatever, not fine at all. 4) the coffee place very dirty, with birds and dust from days. In conclusion, look for another place to stay. Expensive and doesn't worth it

I reserved a room, checked in, went out and when I came back somebody was in my room so I had to leave because I couldn’t find anybody to help me

This is a small boutique-like motel. No frivolous amenities. Decor is good and there's a patio with self serve coffee and live birds. Downside, tv remote was broke and the lamp didnt work. There was no back-up tp roll and the office was closed.

Very cute place, unassuming from the outside but scrupulously clean.

Great old style Florida mirek with courtyard and gardens, birds & turtles. Room needed some minor repairs but was clean and spacious with kitchenette.

The manager was unbelievable! She definitely deserves a raise!

There’s no dish towel; apparently they provide paper towels for that. They still give a towel, but a bath towel… If you are lucky to have a nice neighbor, it’s fine. If not, you hear everything. Our main issue was the fridge not working, and it was a hustle to get it fix. We asked to change the room, because we wanted to be far away from our neighbor next door the fridge that is not working. They agree, but they downgraded us to a queen and no kitchen room, because apparently, it was the only room left. We totally understand, but we asked for a price difference with the suite that we had (kitchen king bed), just to get what we paid for, which is 10$. The owner refused. So, we lost few hours and only the fridge was fixed by exchanging them in between those two rooms… I don’t know which one is worst, the careless/ dirty room or the customer service….oh also it mentioned that there’s pastries in the morning…we didn’t see any…

Pretty cool gem of a motel. Was clean and quiet. Slight Cigarette smell but definitely not enough to bother me whatsoever. The younger woman that checked me in was pretty cool as well. Will definitely try for this place first when I’m back in the area

The Barefoot Mailman was amazing, so quaint, personal, like your own little beach house. The staff were wonderful. Definitely plan to stay here again sometime!! ❤️

Terrible service,room etc there was a broken ac unit in 87 degree weather! I am a disabled vet on a cpap machine and it was unbearable to sleep in the room!!! When I asked to have it fixed it took two days! The whole experience was horrible!

I was really happy that I went ahead and booked the Barefoot Mailman Motel. It has that you’re at home feel. It’s comfortable. Everything was nice, clean and organized. They have a wonderful coffee bar with tables and chairs. This Motel will definitely be my new spot from now on. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Had some neighbors next door who played the radio all night long. Could not get much sleep. Overall though, a nice place for the money. A bit different than most retro motels. We would stay again.

Due to construction at the front Entrance, I was only able to see the backside of the hotel, which was unattractive (a cheap motel feel to them) and hard to find. The Manager on duty was absolutely fantastic! My room was quite nice and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again.

Clean, good kitchen in the room. Unfortunately it was raining inside the room and kitchen all night. We used bowl to contain the water.

If you're looking for a place to stay that has no amenities such as a pool or continental type breakfast this would be it. The room I was in was clean but small and the staff that I spoke with were very nice.

Beautiful unit. Excellent up to date interior remodeling. Shower/Bathroom very well done and excellent water pressure in rain shower head and wand. WiFi did not work for the TV or either of our phones. Office phone went to VM and it was full. Called after hours # and he sent a very nice young lady by to let us know the PW had changed. WiFi worked on the TV for 20 mins and then the low connection was lost. Couldn’t reestablish. Never an option to connect phones. Turned AC off and remote would not connect to turn back on. Smoke Detector was missing. Notified after hours guy by text the following morning. He told us to point remote at the unit (which we had tried many times) and that he was sure “it’s an easy fix as they never have issues with them.” No one in the closet sized “office” as we left. We did not have to leave a deposit but another guest leaving when we did at 9AM was not able to reach anyone by phone to return her cash deposit. Very nice unit could use some work on the WiFi, AC, and smoke detector issue along with customer service. Pictures of exterior taken in the best light. Would suggest Google Earth view of the area for best info.

Friendly and courteous front desk. Doesn’t look appealing outside but inside has been upgraded. Quite location and along Dixie highway. Parking in front of property is limited but they have an additional back parking area.

Probably one of the cheapest addresses in the West Palm/Lantana parts of Florida. Adequate for me as a single male but with doors that open to the outside and many nooks and crannies not a good choice for ladies or families. Good marks for keeping in contact with me for updates as my plan was late.

Stayed one night, Ben let us check in 4 hours early, went above and beyond! This worked out good for us! He also told us about a spa at the beach to go and hang out for free all day by pools and the beach

Lovely and great rates newly rooms

Some pulled up and saw this little motel in the middle of what looks like a questionable neighborhood and my husband was like, no way, what did you do? We usually stay in nice hotels w a pool, but this was a 2-day biz trip and I didn’t want to spend a lot. The clerk was super friendly and helpful, and let us loo at our room first, it was in the middle of a sink repair and not ready, so she showed us another room available and it was great. Spacious, clean, well decorated and full amenities like fridge, microwave kitchen supplies and a nice clean bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the suite very much. Parking was limited but overall it’s a nice place to stay of the hotel isn’t your vacation place. This isn’t the type of place to stay as your trip destination, but it is a lovely little renovated place that serves its purpose. Thanks for the stay.

Room looks new - micro, fridge - no utensils- no coffee pot ( around corner is a keurig) nothing no cups . No hairdryer, tv did not work ( she came and tried and apologized, offered to move us at 8 pm) roach in room. Instruction at check in would have been good - we went out and bought a bag of ice.

Nice room for the money couldnt get a network tv signal was irritating

We were a little skeptical when we pulled up, typical, old Florida motel feel but the room was newly remodeled, clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that TV options were limited and the "pastries and coffee" others mentioned, weren't offered to us. Would definitely stay there again as it had lots of walkable dining and bar options.

Office wasn't always open. Trash around parking area in back. Room was old and needed updating. Lamp cords had electrical tape on them. Tv wasn't plugged in. Channel selection was limited. Train tracks across the street was sometimes loud. No soap for handwashing.

Quaint, charming old Florida style motel. Room was great! Had a living room area and a bedroom divided by a door, which allowed me to stay up and watch TV without disturbing my other guest.

Clean, quite, except when the train passed by the bed was a little hard for me but all in all a nice place to stay
