OYO Hotel Lake Park/Valdosta I-75, Exit 5

I booked 2 rooms online with 2 full beds in each and when I got there they only had one room available and they offered another room with a just a king. With the amount of ppl staying in each room( people that wouldn't share a bed together) it did not work out. Next when we got into the rooms, they were dirty(crums, dirt, dead bugs, dirty linens and the floors were nasty) one room didnt have electric and the others shower floor was caved in and weak/broken. Roaches were found(alive), was told we could use the pool then 15 minutes later they said no cuz it hasn't been maintained chemically or cleaned. The people that lived in the rooms at the hotel were very creepy and kept asking weirdly specific information about us.one of the workers sons was playing with a dead snake and kept dropping it on us from the floor above. Overall....very bad experience. I do not recommend.

The lady at the front desk was nice but everyone else was awful. Room was gross and dirty. Beds needed to be shook out. Bedding and towels were so worn they were grey. Avoid this hotel if you can.

I do beleive this is an example of owners trying to hold off on investing any dollars in basic maintenance let alone capital upgrades until they really realy have to. Well in this particular case they are past that point. There are two OYO's within site of each other and i think the focus is on mai taining the one we didnt stay in. There also appears to be less than adequate staff but the front desk fellow and the o e housekeeper were hustling, thats why they got a 3.

The guy at the front desk was friendly. The room was filthy. Years of accumulation of dirt on electrical conduits, rusty lamps, peeling “coating” in shower, untouched water spots on sink chrome. Also, this hotel was previously about 1/4 mile down the road. Booking directions took me there.

The stay was good for 1 night. The towels were stained and tub wasn’t clean, it had hair strings left in the tub. The microwave didn’t work, and Mini fridge didn’t work.

I slept on top of the comforter and left by 4am, The place smelled like a smoker's room and now I have some throat/lung discomfort and an associated cough. There was a big patch in the bathroom wall that was unpainted. I tried to move the chair and found out it only had three legs. I will never stay here again! The desk attendee was friendly, and they were accommodating to my dog but that's about the only good I can say about the place,

Property was good for the price but very rough around the edges. Nonsmoking room reaked of smoke, sheets were stained, paint was peeling, toilet was lose from the floor, and the grounds were meh. The young man that checked me in and out was very polite and professional. He is the reason I give 3 stars and not 1.

Sign on lobby door said “open 24 hours” but when we arrived the door was locked. There was another notice that said call a number for assistance. We did so. The check in person was doing laundry but came right up and checked us in. She said they were short staffed. She was very friendly but this was a strange situation.

Room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Good room amenities. The motel has a small breakfast area but does not offer breakfast. Reasonable 2 star motel but it would help if they offered a self serve breakfast like other motels.

The bed was comfortable that's it. The drawer stayed open ,it was dirty, bathroom shower drizzled water one of the TVs just fell apart when it got turned on, remote was taped no back batteries all over, ceilings had webs and dust hanging and bathroom showers molded, fire alarms pulled out of the wall. Mirrors never been cleaned. Towels were not even stacked up neatly they were thrown in to the place. The basket for the coffee was broken. Bad experience clean it up the sope dealers hanging all over the place renting the rooms to deal to people.

It was in disrepair and not clean. I did not even sleep in the bed - i slept on my own blanket on top of the bed.

My room sheets had some stains on it and it just didn’t feel like a safe area . I couldn’t lock my door from the top as a piece was missing. Very nice people tho .

The reception person was pleasant. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure. The whole place was very dirty and worn out. The pool was not safe to use due to excessive filth in and around the pool deck. There was no breakfast as was advertised.

It took over an hour to sort this out and to get a new room. The new room was dirty, the towels looked like have not been washed, the hair was in the shower and the water was dripping constantly which drove us nuts in the night. The entire experience with this facility was awful to say it mildly and we definitely will never book again.

In addition to the unclean premises, the beds made noise each time you move round on the bed. The water pressure was too low. The towels were very thin, to the point my family had to buy their own towels to use. The visit was so disappointing, instead of staying two nights, we only stayed one. Would not recommend.

I have traveled to over 50 countries and stayed is some poor locations. These were the worst towels and wash cloths I have ever seen. They were below the cheap cloths you would use in a car.

In the room, it looked like new carpet and new eco-flush toilets have been put in (note from a homeowner of a 100+ year old home - old plumbing is not always best for these new fancy toilets; the one in mine clogged horribly after a very average "deposit". Apologies to the cleaning staff.....). The tub has been painted to cover chips and damage. So it's old, but *relatively* clean. Lots of fingerprints on the full-length mirror (see pic) which made me wonder, what else hadn't been cleaned? That said, the bed was comfortable, linens and towels were clean, and the night was quiet. There seemed to be several extended-stay workers here who went to bed early (after hanging out on the balconies smoking and listening to music) and left early in their pickup trucks. Also a few snowbirds seen leaving in the morning. There is no breakfast or coffee (save for the coffee pods/coffee maker in the room). There is a Winn-Dixie next door where I found a few groceries, water, and snacks - and a lovely local coffee shop that made a decent latte for me the next morning.

Hotels.com is great, but this place was so nasty I had to buy new towels because they were brown (supposed to be white), the AC unit looked like something died in it, they don’t change sheets or anything…there are shopping carts stolen from the local grocery store sitting around the property, trash and scrap sitting around the hallways, spider webs everywhere, etc etc. Do better!

It wasn't terrible, the only complaint is that the room smelled a cigarette smoke. Im guessing from people smoking outside was drawing the smoke inside. Other than that it was a nice stay.

It was hard to find our room as the room numbers were in the dark. The bed and TV were avery good, but the lamps and other fixtures were rusted and the linens were worn and discolored. There were restaurants close by, but a few looked run down and the one where we ate had unsatisfactory service, had run out of vegetables and was so cold inside that we sat outside with mosquitoes. We were informed that the area had been hit by the hurricanes in September and workers were living in the area hotels. We are of course sympathetic, but this does not explain paying a 3-star rate for a 1-star hotel.

I have stayed in a lot of low budget hotels and this was by far the worst. The room was not clean (dirty rags in the room, broken furniture and lights, stained bedding). We were charged additional fees upon arrival even though we had prepaid. Would not recommend staying here.

The representation of this place on Expedia is a joke. I was trying to get my son a safe place to stay for the night on his return to florida after being evacuated due to hurricane Milton. It was impossible to contact the local facility, and the national number for OYO said they couldn't find it or tell me and hung up on me. I called them three times to even get through. The room had broken down furniture, lots of wear everywhere, the tub had defects in the enamel was stained and had no drain plug, not that he would have taken a bath. This is a poorly maintained and managed place. Don't make the mistake of staying there. It was stress we didn't need during a difficult time.

The walls were paint chipped (not a big deal) furniture was all chipped or broken, half the lights worked, the sheets were stained AND HAD MOLD SPOTS. Totally disgusting, I left. They said they gave me a refund, but I haven't received it yet. The Baymont was almost the same price but it was clean. That was literally my only stipulation is I needed a clean place to stay. The OYO was so unsanitary...

I returned the keys because there was no way we could stay there. He didn’t even suggest changing to another room, he told me that he would process a refund. I still haven’t see it though.

I liked that I could check in at anytime and had easy parking right in front of my room. I only disagreed with how far the front lobby was from the rooms.

Door was hard to close. No top lock. Bed was very uncomfortable! Dresser drawer wouldn't stay closed so middle of the night you would hit it!! Towels where stained up and very fuzzy. Was not happy! Woke up and could hardly move..

Good for a one or two night stay

Fast friendly check in. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. My daughter said the room smelled like cigarettes, I cant confirm due to medical condition. We were just stopping to sleep in the middle of a long trip. If you need a clean place to sleep for a great price ($76) then I would definitely come again. Heading to the free breakfast now.

Rooms are a disaster. Duck tape holding vents on ac not working very well microwave not working mold in shower Floors not clean a lot of noise all night from live in guests and employees Pool was great except most of chairs broke and a lot of trash all over property Bunnies were nice

Everything was great, clean, stocked room with a really comfy bed, check in was quick and easy. I got the room for $13.99 after applying a coupon, which is fantastic!! The bad: Only complaint I have, which is a big deal to me, is - at 10:15 the maids tried to walk in my room. I'm really sick with bad health issues and planned on sleeping until check out. I spent 30 minutes trying to complain about it in the office, which at that point I was told I can go back to my room and sleep till 11... 15 minutes.... Then I talked to the manager, who gave me till 11:30 (really...) and told me he fired the two house keepers, which was a lie. If check out isn't until 11, I expect not to be bothered until at least 11. I expect not to be lied to... But I guess my expectations are too high...

Beyond happy with our stay! Check in was quick and easy, finding our room was a breeze. Very clean and cute! The pool was so much fun and the staff was incredibly kind to provide us with pool towels. The continental breakfast was also yummy with a good selection, loved the fresh waffles! Lots of antique shops and restaurant options within a very short walking distance.

The staff was very polite and hospitable. They let my daughter swim after hours and had a pool cleaning company clean the bottom of the pool just for her. That was great customer service.

Extremely dirty room. Stains on bed covers, stains all over walls, food from previous guest left in the fridge with personal belongings behind a chair. Doubt the rooms are being cleaned between guests.

When I checked out, the clerk drove up besides our car and took my door key card with no formal check out. He could have been anyone.

Bathroom was not cleaned, sheets and carpets were stained, security lock had been ripped off the door exposing jagged metal, baseboard trim peeling off the wall, one inch gap under the outdoor. Did NOT stay the night, went elsewhere.

This hotel was very dirty. Some holes in the wall. Needs a total update. Breakfast was suppose to be from 7:00-9:00. They never unlocked the office to let people in for breakfast or coffee. I would not recommend this hotel.

Behind the nightstand there was no outlet cover and just a hole and the electric outlet which is a major safety hazard for children. My sisters room had stabs in the sheet like someone took a knife and slashed it. Hairs inbedded in every towel and stains on the sheets. Very dirty and didnt feel safe. Would have loved to go elsewhere but its spring break week ans there wasnt anything else around. Never again. The clerk was friendly but did take a long time to check us in.

This particular OYO hotel is older, but it is clean. We have stayed there 3 times now and it is adequate. No fancy frills, but a comfortable bed. We appreciate the limited breakfast that is offered. We will stay there when in Lake Park, GA.

The gentleman at the front desk. ( owner?) was very pleasant and the breakfast was displayed nicely. Property obviously needs more updates but good stay.

Check in took over 20 minutes. Non smoking room but door was not sealed and smoke came into room all night from smokers outside. Car wash next door was extremely loud and used all night/morning long. Room was large with very comfortable bed, chair, desk, and TV.

I cannot recommend anyone staying at this motel.

Good value especially if booked thru Expedia. Good for travelers who wish to get some shut-eye while traveling. Great location even a grocery store within walking distance.

Cowboys restaurant was a great place to eat next door.

Very good value. Our first stay at an OYO but we will use more of them. When traveling it's nice to have a place to sleep without spending 💰💰💰💰. Bed was fine nice and firm. Pleased.

We stayed in a room, went to sleep and got up and got back on the road to our original destination.

I've stayed here many times throughout the years; even back when it was Quality Inn. It has always been satisfactory but the past couple months has been rough. Last month the shower drain was clogged, heater was weak, and no breakfast at the appointed time. This most recent stay the ice machine didn't work and my bathroom shower curtain smelled of mold. Both times the property was in poor condition with shopping carts, old AC units outside, trash, beer cans, and noisy tenants.

Decent motel. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Only complaint I have is house keeping never came to make bed and clean room, though I didn't ask them either. Plan on staying again when I am in the area.

Only complaint is that the walls are thin and the room beside us has had their TV blasting all night, and unfortunately it’s all we can hear and are barely able to drown the noise out.

Check in was easy, staff had great local eating suggestions, I would stay here again.

The outside was decent but inside the room I found bedbugs on the bed, the bedskirt, and the pillows. The room smelled funny also.

Mold on walls, bathroom dirty, floor dirty. Windows and curtains not working. Have pictures of all.

We booked our room from the road. Check in process was very easy. Night clerk was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Our room was clean, and appeared well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Our only concern was the level of light was a bit low for us, even with all the lights on. Hotel was quiet, which was nice after along day on the road. We would definitely stay here again!

The pics are deceiving.Sheets&matress covers were dirty with hair on them.Cockroach infestation.Towels that weren't white.Badly sqeeking bathroom door.Cigarette smell coming through bathroon vent Dust on all furniture.Dirty mirror.Horror motel.You could pay me and i would not stay there again.

Stay overall was good the girls are friendly the staff is friendly I think that they are renovating I don’t believe they believe in using bleach because the towers were very very dingy with a little black or a dirty person in my room was OK the bathroom probably was being worked on I needed some VIP

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I was not expecting much as I knew it was a lower end hotel but when I tell you please spend the little bit of extra money to stay somewhere decent I really mean it. Brown towels that used to be white, no hot water, broken bed. Every time we left the room and returned it seem like someone had been in the room smoking within the last hour. Disgusting is the only way to describe the room. I said nothing b/c I know in today’s world no one cares. They have to be aware of how gross they are. Look like drug dealers hanging around on the steps. We renamed it the O-NO instead of the O-YO.
