Very nice room. However, if you stay at the hotel, don't take Room #1. It's close to the road and I started hearing traffic roaring past the hotel starting at 7 am.

And finally you had what I assume where the housekeepers standing around loitering by the walk way. Asked me without greeting me, what room I was leaving from. I'll never stay here again. I gave it a.shot due to the 20 pet fee, but they also dont really have anywhere for my dog to relief himself. I had to walk next door where the pharmacy is at for my dog to be able to potty.

Lots of families and kids around. Be aware of that if you want it looking for a calm place to stay. Smoking was allowed outside and around parking lots. Not fond of it.

There was 1 plate, 1 pot, 1 pan, 3 forks, 3 spoons, fireplace gas key on floor, good be tripping hazard, floor was dirty, my socks were very dirty. Barbecue was broken, spider website in the window and microwave had no handle, I think it might be leaking radiation.

We enjoy staying here because it is very centrally located and you can walk to everything. The place is old and a little run down. The bed was comfortable but made a lot of noise when we rolled over. It was a noisy mattress for some reason. Overall will stay there again.

We were upgraded to a cabin style room at no additional charge due to some maintenance that came up at the other room available. No issue with the room other than there was a vent blowing cold air by the bed. We kept a small heater on through the night. Everything else was great 👍.

Close in town location. Walking to cafe, Goodwins etc. They were very accommodating with my dogs. The room was large. Very nice hosts. Let us check in early. I just think the property needs to be cleaned up. It looks and feels run down. The ceiling above the shower looked very discolored. The pillows were just thrown on the bed and not really arranged in any fashion so we were questioning whether or not the sheets and pillowcases were clean. There were no blankets, just a very thin top cover and a sheet. There were many things around the property that were in disarray like an oven that was taken out and just left there. I think it would be so much better if the property was just shown a little love.

The place was clean. However the description on Expedia was incorrect and we had to pay unexpected fees. Expedia listed that pets stay for free and accepting cats and dogs. When I checked in and informed them of my dog the gentleman stated there is a fee of $20 per day per pet and $100 deposit. I had also messaged the property days before arrival asking about registering my pet and I got no response. If I'd had known there was a fee I would have made accomodations for my pet. Expedia stated seasonal pool but a hot tub available. Hot tub was not in working order and was closed. The room that I reserved was listed as deluxe and description gave you options of a king bed or double bed, I chose King but I got a room with a queen bed and a full bed. Walls are thin and you can hear the outside noise from the road and people walking to their rooms. Overall the place was okay and it did smell clean just not as described on Expedia with the amenities.

The location was great and room was clean. However the website displayed the pets stay free but that was not true. When I arrived to the location, I had to pay 20 dollars per pet. I told the front test that they displayed false information on the website but they said they meant service animals. They were not willing and waive the fee despite the false information displayed on the website. And since I drove all the way up there, I had to pay it regardless because I was not about to go back home. Overall great location if you don’t have pets you wanna bring.

The furniture and overall cabin needs quite a bit of updating. Just some minor adjustments and it is a really cute, comfy place to stay. The pictures on the hotel site definitely sold me and that's one of the reasons I picked this place, but they definitely do not match the reality. It was also disappointing to take a cold shower when it was super cold outside. The couch was also uncomfortable to sit on and could really use an update as well. We were glad to have had only one night here!

I liked the bedside and the overall room space. When I pulled in cops were surrounding the parking lot and that made me feel uneasy wondering what kind of place I had booked a room at. I didnt like that the coffee machine didnt work we had to get the main office manager to give us 3 different ones. Then the fireplace glass door wasn't secure. My 1 year old daughter barely pulled on it and it hit her in the face and made her nose bleed. Then when her dad went to complain the main guy at the front desk just said they would let maintenance know to put a sign on it. Roasting is she okay or offering assistance of any kind.

Had to call to get both. Bring socks if staying because your feet will be black within the first 10 mins. Otherwise, it was super cute and cozy with a fireplace and warm water with heat in the winter.

    - decomposing food in a refrigirator build about 30 years ago. - clearly bedding wasn't changed. we had hair and other things, even fresh makeup on pillows - heater and heating control wasn't working. temporarily started then died-middle of the night and we were freezing. thankfully a nice service guy brought a floor manual heater - spiders and roaches, live and dead, especially in the bathroom - ceiling fan was broken - if you turn lights on also fan turns on- in the winter without heating. they couldn't fix. all we watned was light. we were so cold and scared of clearly previously used bedding, spiders and roaches, we slept with all our clothes on as we arrived late and had no other place to go.

BEWARE! Deserves 0 STARS!!! The husband/wife property owners/managers are HIGHLY unethical. They lied to my face, and to my brother's, when we both asked about turning on the jacuzzi for us to use. Apparently, the hot tub area is locked up and only they can go in and turn it on, which was stated in the ad, but we were told all's we had to do to use it was give them forewarning, as it takes about 90 minutes to heat up, and they would be sure and turn it on for us. We were there 4 days and asked EACH day for them to turn it on and although they said, "OK! will do!" they NEVER turned it on for us. NOT ONCE!! There were no apologies or reasons or excuses as to why, or claims that it was broken or being repaired, they just said they would and didn't. We paid EXTRA to have a hotel with this feature, and it was my brothers ONLY request when suggesting what he wanted in amenities. They also FALSE advertise, stating that the extra beds would be futons, which most people know are fairly comfortable and sleep much like a bed, however that's a lie too. It was a sofa sleeper, which ALL people, (who've slept on one.) know are torture devices, with the metal bars, (My bed had 3!!) running across the bed and I wasn't able to sleep all of the 3 nights we were there. It was PURE HELL!! I highly advise all travelers to avoid this property at ALL costs, unless you enjoy being lied to by bold face LIARS!!! They flat out REFUSED to compensate me even in part, for their actions, or lack thereof.

Unfortunately, the furniture and bed looked like they picked it up from the curb for free. The sign as you walk up says under new management, I'm hoping that they are in transition because cabins could be very cute when fixed up. We stayed 2 nights the 1st night the heater wasn't working and we froze. Temperatures dropped to 55. Beds only had sheets set up for summer time. The next day, we were given a small room heater and a blanket. Which was ok for person in the room. I slept on fold out couch with a sheet and once again gas heater went out in the middle of the night. I froze again. We were not offered any compensation for the heater going out and we also had plumbing issue. That was resolved quickly in the morning. I hope new management remodels soon. We came home and felt like we should burn the clothes we wore to bed. but we threw everything in the wash right away and showered. We felt so gross. They are pet friendly, charged an extra $20 per night. They were very accommodating to my friend who is disabled. Gave us a cabin that she could move comfortably in.

The location is awesome but the Cozy Corner Cabin was far from cozy. I love rustic cabins, but I expect comfort and cleanliness when paying top dollar for a stay. The room was dirty, the heater did not work, the bed linens were dirty, the sofa had pet hair, the pillow cases were dirty, there was only a thin sheet and thin comforter. No blanket. We had to go out and purchase a blanket to keep us warm overnight. The fireplace had burnt logs and was full of ashes. The bathroom was dirty, the towels were dirty and appeared to have been re-used from the previous stay. I will definitely not be staying here again and hope the ownership and management step up their game to make this place shine. The potential is there!

The motel was quaint mountain-style. (Being in the mountains, this made sense.). But they took it to extremes as many things did not work: CO2 sensor had no batteries, the tv clicker would only allow a single channel, the wifi didn't work, the sink was dripping, and the shower head needed replacing.

My main issue was that the room didn’t match the online photos. The pictures showed a cozy, country-style unit with a bedroom, kitchen, and living area for about $160 a night, but the actual room was very different. The “fully equipped kitchen” wasn’t functional—while the fridge and microwave worked, there was no usable stove, no proper utensils, and the drawers weren’t clean. I had planned to cook but couldn’t, which was disappointing. Other concerns: the air conditioner was noisy and emitted a gas smell; the bathroom had good water pressure but the toilet was uncomfortably small; the sofa looked dirty so I had to cover it with sheets; the room smelled old; the TV barely worked; and the window view was trash bins—with even a fly inside the cabin. I didn’t complain since no other rooms were available and chose to enjoy the lakes instead, but it was frustrating that the advertising felt misleading. The staff did their part well, but management should update photos and descriptions so guests know what to expect. For the price, I expected the room shown online. Overall: staff, check-in/out, and parking were fine; location excellent. But the room and amenities need honesty in advertising. Booked: Sept 27–29, 2025

This property offers a variety of options... rooms or cabins of various sizes. We stayed in a cabin. It was large and clean. Some may consider it rustic with the mismatched dishes and lumpy furniture. We liked that it was generally quiet and fairly comfortable. However, the jacuzzi could only be described as tepid, and in fact we saw children doing cannonballs into it and screaming, which was probably the only way to enjoy it at that point. And if you want a hot shower, you better be quick because although it started great, the temperature dropped too fast to get the conditioner out.

I booked this place for it's location, price and cuz it states "pets stay free" as we were bringing my husband's service animal (not considered a "pet" under the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA")) and my personal pet dog. Upon arrival, not only was the front desk clerk unfriendly, he asked how many people were staying in my room ("because you booked 1 king bed"). I thought that was strange since I already selected 2 occupants upon booking, plus it's not his business whether my guest and I sleep in 1 bed or 2. Then, when i asked for a 2nd room key for my husband, the clerk sighed like i was asking a difficult task. When we went to our room and noticed obvious signs saying "no pets" all over the property, I went back to ask the clerk if we were supposed to be in a dog-friendly room & somehow ended up in a 5-min back and forth go-nowhere conversation where he told me they charge $20/day extra for pets and I said their website says it's free and he said only if they're service animals and I said service animals are not pets, per the ADA. Anyway, i told him i won't pay the extra for my pet since their site says it's free. He finally gave in but that left a bad taste in my mouth. The property looked really cute and the room too (for a cheap place), but as soon as we entered we were bombarded w the stench of Pinesol & urine. Unfortunately, the urine smell didn't finally dissipate until around 3am after we left the AC on and had opened the window.

The windows are new, but they don't have screens. It's a free-for-all the bugs that are naturally found in a woodsy area. This may even be a city code violation, if they ever came to check. There was dog feces on our balcony. The sofa was filthy. Many of the lightbulbs were out. The toilet clogged the first night we were there. The toilet was held in place with duct tape. I don't believe it's an issue of cleanliness. It appeared to me that management has intentionally decided not to hire a maintenance professional. Rather, they have someone who responds to emergencies. Then there's the price gauging. Their website says that if you stay for three nights, you can get free access to the lake. I called to inquire. They said that was an offer from the prior owner and that it is not something they currently offer. They said they had not updated the website in the three months they owned the place. I asked about making a reservation by phone and they quoted me an additional twenty-five per cent per night over the phone than what was advertised on their own website. That should have been the red flag not to book there, and we never will again.

It could seriously use someone willing to supervise the overall maintenence and cleanliness of the cabins . Someone who checks the work of the housekeepers and holds them accountable for their work.. proper maintenence is important for the guests comfort and safety as well as the employees.. Management should always put the guest's satisfaction first. I was refused a new room when i complained of the cleanliness of the cozy cabin.. The guy even walked out the the cozy cabin and i pointed out the complaints i had but still i wasnt acknowledged. He did say next time i stayed i would see how much better the cabin looked .. i will say that he wasnt rude. Oh and i payed the $9 to protect my reservation which was for sleepy nest yet i didnt get any protection at all.. i was stuck in a cabin that wasnt fit to be rented..

Can’t beat the location. That’s the best part. The cabin itself was old and very dated. Very much needs updated. The towels were really bad. I’ve seen better towels at car washes. No soap or shampoo was provided so be sure to bring your own. The toilet kept running. The place came with cooking stuff but I wouldn’t use it. I’ve thrown better looking stuff away. The bed was at least comfortable. No end tables and only one outlet in the entire bedroom.

The air-conditioning is in the living room only and the there is only a ceiling fan in the bedroom (very warm), luckily we brought a fan with us. The towels were terrible, felt like sandpaper. The pool is dirty and the hot tub doesn't always work. The parking is terrible, there is barely room to maneuver to the parking space. The place is in poor condition. The condition of the cabin was fair, but it was very dirty. It doesn’t look like they ever sweep or dust. The pool was not working and they said it would be cleaned on Saturday. There were no barbecue grills available. We actually checked out on Friday because of the condition of the cabin. I tried to tell the front desk why I was checking out early, but he was too busy on the phone and just said we’re good. To top it off I left my make up bag there and they say they didn’t find it. There’s no other place. I could’ve left it. It was overall a really bad experience. I was hoping that somebody would refund me for the night that we didn’t stay. If that’s at all possible, please contact me. Thank you.

I believe they need to renovate the property and put a little more effort into the painting, flooring, and general cleanliness. The towels and sheets were stained. It is extremely important to me that the place is clean. I know they are under new management, so it is even more reason to make a great effort for things to go well. Thank you.

Clean & easy check in. I recommend, the only things that could use improvement is the WiFi, cleanliness of the pool & the room was clean but there was a big spider web near my window. You can hear that traffic on the street while trying to rest which I know is out of the motels control but good to be aware of.

Locating is beautiful and very convenient walking distance to stores. First off they gave me a room that was already occupied then the floor in the room were so filthy you couldn't walk around barefoot in the room and lastly the key card stopped working a day before my expected departure so I had went to the office to get it fixed no response finally 10 mins later some helped me.

Great proximity to local shops and attractions. Everything in Crestline was within walking distance. Beds were comfortable. Outdated fixtures and furniture. Floor was dirty and needed mopping. No screen on bathroom window.

The location was excellent. The room was dirty, there were cobwebs in the corner, floor was filthy, walls are stained. 1/3 of the bathroom door frame was broken off. Shower curtain was stained with something black. There was black hair on the shower wall, (I’m blonde and my boyfriend has very long brown hair. Something on the bathroom ceiling was broken and hanging. There was about an inch of hand soap in the dispenser and the towels were so worn and stained that when I used the wash cloth in the shower my fingernails went through. The guy at the office answered the doorbell because you have to ring it to get someone to come to the door, was barefoot all three times I had occasion to go there, maybe it’s a Indian cultural thing (not Native American). Pool looked like a swamp. This place is supposedly under new management, apparently they don’t give a shit about how their rooms look! It’s sad because with a little maintenance and money for paint, new shower curtains and towels this could’ve a decent place to stay.

The property looked nice from the outside. It was walking distance to the grocery store. The inside of the cabin was terribly disgusting. It had mold around the shower and under the kitchen sink. Insulation coming through the vents, trash under the bathroom sink from previous renters, etc. Management was terrible!! He yelled at my husband and I for bringing these issues to his attention.

This is our second stay at Sleepy Hollow. It is under new management and the seem to be making improvements and updating tne property. The location is convenient and the price is fair. The new owners seem to be doing all that they can to make guests comfortable during the transition. If you haven't been, Lake Gregory is is pleasant getaway that won't break the bank. In the summer they have lots of event in the village and at the lake.

It was a cute little cozy cabin. But it smelled of mildew when we closed the windows. So we opened them. But the crazy loud band, drunks from the bar next door and a bonfire made it very hard to sleep. So closed them and ended up leaving for health concerns. Tried contacting the office. No answers from us or Expedia tech. Had to go find another room at 1am. And would not refund the stay. Would never stay there again. And I don't ever complain.

The WiFi worked well and there was plenty of parking. The conditions were very unsanitary and unkempt. The smoke alarm in my bedroom was visibly broken. There was no curtain in my bedroom, giving me little privacy. I was given a different room from the one I booked.

The room is clean and had the rustic cabin feel. The room had a window mount A/C but the rest of the window was blocked with a thin piece of panel board and the temp out side was 36 degrees and windy and we could feel the cold air coming in from around the board. The heater in the room was very loud and worked but it would not cycle properly to keep the room entirely warm. The pipes in the wall sounded like there was water running. In the drawer was what i believe was a basket with some decor of pine cones and native twigs. There was a coffee pot but no coffee cups. when i booked this room via booking.com it took only payment for one night not both so i had to pay for another night when i got there which i feel was a little pricey but I was there for a funeral and didn't want to take a chance of not finding some where else to stay.

I liked the cozy cabin, for sure. However, the swimming pool was not working and the cabin overall needed a good cleaning and so the back yard; so, we could not make use of that area either. Sheets in the sofa bed had something like crumbs. The wall of the main bedroom had a bloody spit on it and the attendant would not have it cleaned because "cleaners were already gone for the day" (at 2:20 pm). The keys would get deactivated and the attendant was not very helpful about it as if it was our fault. Last time I had to kind of force him to come with me and try to open the door. He couldn't. Only then he changed his attitude. Definitely, too expensive for this kind of service.

Place was immaculate though so kudos to the cleaning lady!!! We couldn’t figure out the fireplace, I believe it was a gas one. It may have been turned off or who knows. The tv was tricky as it had cable, Roku and I guess local digital signal. But otherwise we loved it! We just needed trash cans for personal reasons, we ended up using a grocery bag for our trash, and the leaking sink. I’m sure no one realized it as it was a slow leak for which I stepped into a puddle after washing face and brushing teeth before bed. Overall yea I would definitely book again as the place is beautiful and so is the area. Parking sucks but not bad.

The hotel is in the middle of the town. It's easy to walk to places. The hotel/cabin we rented had no drain stopper for the kids to take a bath, no cooking supplies like pots and pans, no paper towels,.... some of the lights also didn't work. Our cabin had a little gated side yard and one of the workers went into it when my kids were playing without telling us. It was awkward . The hotel needs renovation. It wouldn't be my first choice if I went again but there is worse.
