La Puente Inn

My family also stayed in another room and reported a mildew smell and heavily tapped floor which I’m assuming is from the soft spots or holes from previous repairs. There are no secondary bolt locks on the inside like usual in other motels so I did feel less safer than I would’ve if they had them. The area for this motel was not bad at all didn’t give me bad vibes and there’s plenty of store selections around the area.

I stay here often because it’s often the safer choice over pushing myself to drive the rest of the way home. I work 50-60 plus hours a week, not including the drive time. This also allows me take of my personal business while I’m in the area. It’s small and quiet, not bad for the price. I like the amenities in the rooms. There is a large desk which is great, because then I’m able to work on my computer and don’t have to sit on the bed while I’m on the computer.

Awesome place!

This is a great property in a nice part of La Puente. It's close to so many restaurants and fast food establishments. The staff here are very nice, very friendly people, who go out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting La Puente, then this is the motel for you.

The towels had stains and hair on them, which was very disappointing. The mattress was extremely old and uncomfortable — I could feel the springs throughout the night — and I unfortunately ended up with what appeared to be bedbug bites after the stay. Additionally, they required a $20 deposit that was never mentioned anywhere in the app or property description prior to booking. The couch and chair in the room were very dirty, and the entire room had a strong musty smell. We only stayed because we were unable to get a refund and did not want to lose our money. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again.

They requested a $20 deposit for the key door. Most hotels just tell you to leave the key in the room. DON’T stay here because it’s disgusting. I hope I don’t end up with bedbugs. We arrived late and tired so we couldn’t leave to get another place. We requested a refund later with pictures as proof and the hotel staff told Hotels.com they would NOT refund or anything.

Rooms were dirty. Staff asked for a cash deposit which I didn’t have so I had to go hunt for cash. Overall ok location for what I needed but expected Good according to the ratings and got not so good.

No elevator, no clothes hanging rod, no ice, no deadbolt, no security chain, just to start. Based on the parking lot, I'd say no guests either but I think they were walkins. A guess is that the place makes all its money from city funds for housing homeless. Oh, no lobby. All the transactions were done through inch thick heavily tinted plexiglass. I couldn't see who I was talking to. At first I wasn't even sure there was anyone there.

The place was not bad for the price,they don’t provide any hair dryer.the on thing I didn’t like was that door doesn’t have a lock through the inside and there was a huge gap underneath the door. That made me feel unsafe. I decided not stay. When I was in my car getting ready to head out, a couple was trying to open the door of the room that i left . Imagen if i was still in there!! I was glad i left that motel.

A horror story. Avoid this place by all means! It is located in the worst imaginable area. There is no reception - the staff talks to you from behind bulletproof glass. They talk to you as if you owe them a favor to stay there. You pay a $20 security deposit to get your room card. Dirty room, dirty old towels, as if somebody used them to clean a car. The shower is spraying water all over, but not you. At 2 am, I was awakened by a fire alarm and looked outside. Two characters were screaming something into the above-mentioned bulletproof window. By 5 a.m., I had had enough of this Mad Max experience and drew away absolutely restless.

Then the room was filthy. Literal graffiti on the chair, trash in the draws, chairs were absolutely filthy, the shower was disgusting, and the exterior had homeless just chilling in the parking lot. The door had no locks at all, the room has no clothing rack or closet so you couldn't hang clothes anywhere. And the shower knob fell off on my foot when I tried to take a shower. This hotel is a disgusting shame that hotels.com should remove from their site. The ac doesn't work and just leaks everywhere so every room has a trash can outside trying to catch the water. People were also screaming in the parking lot all night long.

We stayed twice with children and this time it was not a good experience. First time I mentioned the floor was dirty when we stayed. Our second time the floor was super dirty and the bathtub. It smells clean only but the room very dirty.

We booked as a result of the number eight review. It was pretty disappointing. Kind of a sketchy neighborhood, a bit of a sketchy property. Our room was more like a number two and a number eight. Did like the warmth and smile of the operators.

When we arrived were we under the impression that there was 5 deluxe rooms available but when checking in they only had queens available even though we called to confirm so we didn't even get the room we had reserved.

Loud music played early in the morning from pickup trucks behind the nearby strip mall to the left. Finally, called the sheriff and they shut them up 30-45 minutes later.

To tell the truth I didn't see any staff members until the following day at checkout.The Manager was courteous allowed me to check in at 2:00 p.m. that was very helpful because it was such a warm day.

The room was very clean, sheets clean. It had a microwave and mini fridge which was nice. There was no safety lock on the door. They did not specify there was a $20 deposit required at check in. Surprisingly, there was no place to hang clothes except on the shower. The toilet was broken, running water all night, very noisy, and would not fill up the tank so I had to fill it up with water with the cups provided. The staff was very friendly but one of them talked so fast I thought I was listening to a commercial.

It’s quiet and affordable. They allowed me to extend my stay last minute without having to change my room.

Just a fair warning for anyone with their deposit. These office desk criminals will try to pull any excuse possible to not give it back. Especially if you are minority. While my wife was trying to get the deposit back they tried to use some whack ass excuse to not pay back my deposit. But there was a white person in front of her that was given back their deposit. No questions asked, not even a room check. But when it came to me, an Asian and my Mexican wife all of a sudden old excuses flew out. To anyone who sees this message in case they try to delete it, if you felt you were wrong in some sort of discriminatory way, get into contact with me because I have a relative that works with the BBB. We are currently working up something against them. Don’t be afraid to contact us if they want they discriminate.

They are extremely bossy no visitors no one but the 2 ppl staying in the room they big you to check out my room phone was ringing at 10am about check out at 11am

It was clean and the rooms were a decent size. However, the staff is rude and discriminative. I helped my dad check in who is disabled and uses a walker. Once the staff found out he was staying alone, we were told there were no first floor rooms. I questioned how can that be when the app said there were handicap rooms avaliable. A difference person then came to the window and said there was a room but he has to open the door at 11am every day so they can clean or he will be kicked out. Everything was fine until check out. As we were leaving, my dads medication was not working well and HE was struggling to walk. It was 1112am and I was slowing helping my dad through the door. the staff came over and said we are late to check out and will loose our deposit. I turned in the key and told them it was not intentional, he is sick. She said, next time you should think about that and dont book with us again. I got deposit back but all of it was so unnecessary

The room was clean. My only issues were no ice machine. During 90 degree weather! No lobby. Even at 6pm, you have to use the walk up window.

Don’t recommended at all!!! While checking in about 10 pm the person in front of me was renting a room by the hour. That should have been my first clue.. The room smelled clean but the walls/baseboards in the main sleeping area and bathroom were gross. There is no safety latch on the door so I had to prop a chair under it. There is an ally way that runs along the property and that seemed to get a lot of noisy foot traffic. The parking lot next store was so loud and I’m pretty sure people were doing burnouts either in that parking lot or in the street. If we didn't arrive so late I would have left that place to find another! The area is NOT safe! Not sure why Expedia has this property listed and at the rating of exceptional for a double bed room type! Not one things about this place was exceptional! Very misleading!

It is always a pleasant stay. I stay there when I have to travel for work or when I am in the area to take care of my personal business. I don’t live in the are anymore or have family in the area. So there are time when I stay at the La Puente in rather than driving back and forth from work and home. The owners and house keeping are very nice. It’s a small place but that helps eliminate a lot of noise from guests and traffic driving through.

Everything was great, room service daily, motel was clean, very good AC, lots of options to eat near by; was quiet had no bad experience with the area. Staff were awesome too!

We found hair on the sheets , tables were dusty,floors were dirty, sheets are too thin , and you can hear the next room showering . Shampoo and bar soap provided don’t lather . At 10:30 am we got a phone call from the front desk asking if we’re checking out . They ask 20 dollar in cash for deposit when you check in . NEVER AGAIN

What I didn't like was when I asked for fresh towels at 10:00 because my wife and I were gunna take a shower, the staff member told me that I had to wait until "I see a housekeeper doing rounds" to get fresh towels.

This motel is well tended to, in a nice part of the city of La Puente. I'd recommend this motel to anybody.

The area does not seem very safe. The office is heavily protected by class. There is a big party going on after 1AM in the big parking lot nearby with a lot of noise and people smoking pot.

The room was advertised as a Deluxe room with jacuzzi, the room was just a normal bed and shower and the attendant confirmed 3 times that was their deluxe room included a king size bed.

Dislikes: bed was kind of worn out.

Plain and simple it was dirty. Chose this place as a last minute booking just to sleep for a couple hours but everything was dirty. It did had a lazy attempt of cleanliness but one of our pillows had make up and bloody drool stain. Random hair everywhere; linens, toilet, shower, sink and table tops. Walls are paper thin. I could here adjacent room conversation and in the early morning some short lived passionate love making, that woke me up. Which defeated the whole purpose of the room, to get a little sleep.

“Pool”on property looked more like a swamp than a pool.

Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean, location was convenient. That's about it for the good parts. Room was really outdated, dirty, found little roaches in the bathroom. Let front desk know, staff went it to do some inspection/cleaning and thankfully no more bugs seen. However, we did not see cleaning crew around the motel, who knows how often they clean rooms. Microwave had filthy greasy fingerprints all over it, clearly it has not been cleaned in a long time. There was no deadbold on the door, felt really unsafe that someone could enter our room at any moment. Second night there was a large party on the street that was loud and disruptive. Not hotel's fault, it was not on their property, but it speaks to it's location. They took $20 to ensure we return key cards. We checked out around 8 AM on Sunday morning, no one was at the front office. I had to ring the bell multiple times and waited a while untill someone finally showed up and was upset that I rang the bell more than once. They did give me my $20 back. Not worth saving a few $ to say here. Thankfully we were only there to sleep overnight.

Place is very tidy, renovated rooms and no price increase on weekends. Best price in town and one of the nicest in that price range. Staff is friendly and cool so long as you make sure to check out on time 11am not one minute late!!!
