Breakfast needs a serious upgrade!

The staff was friendly and we felt welcome. The property shows wear and tear. The floors were dusty. It could have used a good vacuuming. I booked partially based on reviews of its excellent breakfast. The selection was mediocre. Overall if you're looking for a place to rest your head at night and don't expect much in breakfast choices then I'd recommend it.

As soon as we entered our room we noticed bed bugs on the curtain. When we told the front desk they said some people mind and some people dont mind. That is absolutely unprofessional and disgusting!! That can be a big expensive problem if brought back to a home. They should have pest control doing rounds every month at a minimum. All they did was refund our money no apology nothing. First time booking on booking.com and I dont think I ever will again. I travel a lot with my family and normally book thru another organization due to work discounts. I will continue to do so due to this negative experience

The location was great and near the event we had to attend. The lady doing the breakfast was the only friendly person. She made you feel welcomed. Coffee was good didn't try the breakfast. Glad this was only for one night even though I wanted to take a loss and find somewhere else to stay. Staff was not friendly nor made you feel welcomed. I stayed here a couple years ago, and it was nice and affordable which is why we stayed here again. Had two rooms and as soon as you walk in the rooms, they smelled of smoke and weed even though they advertise nonsmoking, and it just felt dirty. I saw one of the workers going to the rooms spraying what looked like Febreze in the other empty rooms. The carpet in the rooms and even the hallway was dirty and musty. You can tell that it was a poor job of cleaning because children’s fingerprints were all over the mirror. The bathroom was not the cleanest and needs to be updated. The tub had mold and not clean to my standards. Could not sleep at all that night because the air quality of the room was not up to par. Had the air on but the room still felt damp and musty. Unfortunately, the final straw was when my mom called to tell me she had just killed a roach in her room. Yup, that did it, I will not be returning.

Also the floor is the bathroom was not washed. I wore white socks into the bathroom and afterwards I noticed they were dirty. I took a wash cloth and washed the floor and that wash cloth was filthy.

When we went into the room, we were smacked in the face with wet, musty room, the carpet was wet, some reason. Tub floor was cracked Definitely not a return for us

It was in a good location. Laplata is great and has a lot of stores nearby and restaurants. Parking was a limited. The staff was friendly and understanding. The hotel had a very bad odor. It advertised no smoking but someone was clearly smoking marijuana on the premise. The AC was blasting when we arrived, no heat in the room. We spotted two roaches on the nightstand within the first 5 minutes. Also, the sheets were very warn out. It had some stains in the bedding. The furniture was old and dusty. My children and I couldn't get comfortable. So we request to leave and cancel reservation.

Hotel is ok considering the price. Caulk in bathroom had mold and wallpaper was peeling. Faucet hasn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Had a lot of soap scum. Bed was super firm (loved it!) but was VERY high and a little hard to get onto because I am short. My only MAJOR complaint is the doors slamming. Money needs to put into capital improvements to put closures on each room door so that they don’t slam shut. Didn’t appreciate being awakened beginning at 4am by people around us leaving early. Not everyone is considerate enough to catch it with their foot so by 6am I was majorly annoyed and wide awake. Arm chair in #132 needs to be steam cleaned. It’s filthy!

I was able to secure a last-minute, week-long reservation here, but extending my stay proved to be highly frustrating. When I requested an extension to attend a funeral, the front desk staff provided inaccurate information, forcing me to pack up all of my belongings needlessly. The front desk manager, Corinne Johnson, was neither friendly nor professional and could greatly benefit from further training in basic hospitality. Regarding the property itself, the hotel is not well-maintained, though it was acceptable for a short-term stay. My second room was not clean; the top bedsheet had visible stains, suggesting that the bedding is not changed regularly. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem to care when this was brought to their attention. Overall, it was a mediocre stay that was salvaged only by its initial availability.

Not very clean, bathroom was falling apart and disgusting, loud guest all through hotel (music and yelling till midnight), smelt like weed in the hallways, door battery died and we ended up sitting in the lobby for over an hour waiting for maintenance to come unlock our room in the middle of the night (didn’t even change the battery so we couldn’t leave out room unattended). Breakfast was alright.

The price was reasonable and staff were helpful and friendly. The room had a smell to it and there was lint on the bathroom floor. The room didn’t have full curtains, only a sheer. The room faced a parking lot where at least one person would just sit in there car parked so didn’t feel comfortable with that since they could possibly see into the room.

The hallways had a funky smell. The room was so so and had dark decor. The breakfast bar ran out of hot food and didn't get replenished. The room key wouldn't allow access after we had our breakfast.

When we checked in, the gentleman took my husbands credit card and then proceeded to cover his cough with it. When I said something, he didn’t understand me and then my husband explained further and wiped it off on his shirt. So to start our stay, we weren’t real happy. Hotel smelled like weed the first night. We stayed on second floor, stair and elevator access was nice. Room wasn’t very clean. Sticky stuff on counter tops, needed to be vacuumed, bathroom needed a good scrub down (looked like it hasn’t been really fully cleaned in awhile, just wiped down). We did appreciate the early breakfast (6am) which was decent for what it was.

I went to the breakfast at 930 and even though it was closing soon it was still being well taken care of. The only complaint I have is that there was a few stains from previous guests in the cushions of the sofa, which in fairness, I wouldn’t have even seen if I didn’t need to use the pull out sofa bed.

Broken shower curtain, carpet stains, had to use excessive force to work the shower. Walls so thin I heard one neighbor listening to the news and the other neighbor watching baseball. The hotel also smelled like they used a fragrance to mask the smoke.

Bathroom was not clean. Urine was around bottom of the toilet. The no carpeted part of the floor was sticky.

The breakfast food was delicious just need to cook the sausage a little bit longer! But other than that everything was great. Our tub wasn't cleaned very well 😔 but they cane back an̈d clean it for us!👌👏🤗 we will return to this hotel.

It's was a good stay I only gave it a 4 star rating because I was told breakfast was from 6am to 10am I went to get breakfast at 915:am on Monday they day I was leaving and they had closed the breakfast early which is highly upsetting to me because I was really looking forward to it everyday of my stay

Their reserved parking for “Diamond Members.” There aren’t any Diamond Members. A waste of parking. The room keys de-magnetize easily.

While checking in I had to wait 45 mins just to check in because there was no one at the front desk. The first room we were assigned to had German roaches in the room and we had to get moved to the other side of the hotel after being offered to get moved right next door where we literally saw a German roach. I was disappointed in this property.

Staff should pay a little closer attention to detail. I noticed there was some mildew up in the corner above the shower tub area, and the top ledge at the center of the bathtub where the shelf is needs to be cleaned better because there was mold growing

The breakfast was decent. There was a roach that my mom saw in our room 2 times. And I had a ant in mine. Like usual with most hotels, I found some stains on the comforter. Thats why I never use them in hotels, cuz I know more than likely they are rarely cleaned. And that maybe the same with the sheets. I always look for signs of uncleanliness.

I dropped the remote behind the bed. When we pulled it out it was gross. There was a cell phone, old used keys to the room, cigarette butts and hair under and back there. Also the remote kept going off line. The debris behind and under the bed.

Close proximity to family Not very clean and poor condition of room overall. Noise all night. Outlets very loose, plugs would fall out. TV constantly buffered. Poor Continental Breakfast. Only hot food was very watery eggs and sausage that didn’t even taste good. Other basic breads, cereal or bagels were ok. Keys stopped working had to get reprogrammed twice. Overall did not feel safe, lots of late night yelling, and smell of marijuana while walking down hallways. Had to call front desk regarding a stranger repetitively knocking on my door around 11pm and the phone in my room did not work. No dial tone. Had to call the local number to reach staff on my cell phone.

Room had blood on the floor on the couch and stained sheets. I asked for a refund they had no more rooms for us.

Our room keys were deactivated at 825am when we returned to our room after having breakfast, so we had to return to front desk to reactivate. Staff barely aknowledged me as she was on phone. Did not seem to care.

Only thing I did not like, several individuals were hanging together in the cars through the night.

The lobby was appealing to the eye but breakfast and coffee left you wanting to go get breakfast out. My husband also had trouble sleeping so he was watching tv in lobby at 3am, counter clerk would not let him change the channel, in fact removed the tv remote from the table where my husband was. There were no other guests in the lobby at 3am! The room was ok but the bathroom floor and tub had not been cleaned in a while. Disappointing to have a dirty bathroom!

I love staying at y'all's facility but right after l use my check card somehow someone gains access to my account and start withdrawaling funds from my account l feel like someone is giving access to my account it happened at 2 different stays they hit my account 4 times l had to go to my bank and get another card.

I’ve only ever had one unpleasant interaction with an older gentleman that works night shift (think his name is Yasmin, wears glasses & hat) really rude, but I don’t really care bc everyone else is always great & extremely friendly & accommodating especially the tall guy that’s always working the front desk, & the girl that works night shift! So sweet & patient, always makes sure I have great service!

Upon a arrival when I checked in there was a roach in the bathroom which I recorded and took pictures of. The hotel room had a very strong stench of urine as well. The concierge at the front was it Indian man and he was so rude and disrespectful and would not allow me to complete my thoughts or my statements.

First off, the cable box for the living room did not work. That was frustrating. We couldn't hang out in the living room area because of it. The desk chair was disgustingly stained. Would not sit on that thing to save my life. The living room couch was also dirty. In addition, the property smelled like weed. There are signs on every single door for no smoking and people are smoking in rooms. That's not something I'd like my daughter to smell. The alternate exits by our room was propped open so made us feel unsafe. There were empty beer cans in the hall way sitting there as trash. And our toilet seat was loose and about to come off. Honestly I want my money back. It's unfortunate this happened.

Overall, very satisfied. Breakfast was substantial and offered a lot of variety (although the coffee was not good.) It would be nice to have water available throughout the day. I don't believe the vending machine offered water.

Due to this lack of privacy , I ultimately decided to leave the property and secure accommodation at a nearby hotel at approximately 11:30 p.m. that same evening. That said, I must commend the staff member on duty the evening of August 25, 2025. Her professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness stood out remarkably she truly is the heart of the property and the one positive highlight of my experience.

The hotel room was not as clean as I would have liked. The chair still had some crumbs and dirt on it, one towel had a stain and it didn't feel clean. Other than that it was a good hotel. Very convenient.

Wiuldnt recommend it ro anyone. The suite was small ,the room smelled bad ,the pullout ciuch was uncomfortable abd had a nasty stain on the head rest, the desk chair looked like soms pooped on it. It was dirty and disappointing. Not even worth halfthe price that we paid. Im not returning . Ill slerp in my car before staying there again. Weve stay at least 2 times before abd each timehas gotten worse. We were subjected to cigarette and Marijuana smells. We dont smoke and my mother was with us. She has servere asthma. We slept in our clothes. Exhaustion made us stay. Never again

Definitely needs some updates. Ac units were terrible loud noise banging all night they saud maintenance man would look at it but nobody did anything.

We were there for 1 night, thankfully no longer. The room was horrible. The floor was sticky and everything was either broken or in serious need of cleaning. The AC didn't work and it's mid June. We chose a suite because one of us in our party has celiac and we needed to be able to cook our own food. There was absolutely nothing in the kitchen. We will never stay there again.

The room was comfortable, we asked for a quiet area and got it. Staff was very nice and responsive. They fixed our toilet that had a slow flush. It was clean. Breakfast was included with the stay. Nice varierty, just wished they served intil 10:00 instead of 9. Couldn't hear other roims around me, a big plus. I would stay there again.

Tornado sirens going off Friday evening. No instructions for what to do or where to go had a Tornado touched down. Was like no one was paying attention to the sirens in the hotel.

Came to visit family. This location was the closet. I had my doubts before booking but gave it a chance. The condition of the hotel is terrible. So many cracks, mold around bathtub, ants & I also saw a roach in the bathroom. I was extremely uncomfortable & barely slept. I do NOT recommend this place. 0/10.

We stayed during the week - VERY Quiet! Bed and pillows were very comfortable . We were in a suite had a nice lil kitchen setup , what I really liked was the cold refrigerator - it’s a must. This will be our goto in the area . Very nice staff

Check-in was easy and helpful. The property also had washers and dryers available for use, which was helpful on an extended trip (you have to bring your own change, though). Bed was a bit firm with small pillows, but still cozy after a long day of exploring. Bathroom was clean with good water pressure and hot water. I left a room service request sign on the outside of my door each day, but the staff only made up the bed once while we were out. They did exchange the old towels for fresh ones. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The best hotel experience I’ve had

I’ve stay here for the past 3 years. The quality of the place is going down hill. Lots of small things wrong with the room. Breakfast area with broken equipment. The juice machine and yogurt machine both out of order. The least they could do is to have prepackaged stuff available. 2 of the 3 days I was there the hot breakfast items were gone. Poor management of the food available for guests. Next year I’ll stay elsewhere.

My stay at the Best Western in La Plata, Md was pretty good overall. I stayed for 2 nights for a wellness retreat I attended at a local park. Since I live about 1 1/2 hours away, it was convenient. Check-in was very easy, and the front desk clerk was nice and friendly. My room was on the first floor not far from an exit door leading to the parking lot which was convenient. The room was a nice size with a king sized bed which was fairly comfortable. However, it had 4 half-sized pillows which I'd never seen before. So, it was hard for me to get comfortable. Also, my window faced the back parking lot, so I had to be careful about keeping my curtains open. There were a lot of nearby restaurants amd shopping which was good. Had many options. The free breakfast was a standard continental with several hot item (eggs, sausage, potatoes), but they had the small, flimsy plasticware which made it difficult to cut and pick up the food. My main complaint is that I didn't realize the 2nd night's rate had gone up $40 dollars. That's probably more my fault, but it affected my overall view of the stay. For that amount, I would expect better pillows! Lol. Overall, a pretty good stay, and I would recommend it if you're not a hotel "snob" and don't need anything too fancy. Just be sure to double-check your rates.
