There was mold (black mold), the front desk almost never answers the phone or are present at the counter, I exterminated several spiders and other critters, stains and tears on furniture, mold and moisture smell, poor working shower doors, bad AC. I need my money back it is so bad. EVERYTHING.

There were only 2 towels in our room, no iron or ironing board. There was no creamer for the coffee and the front desk did not have e any.

Literally had to argue with staff to get an extra blanket at 9:30pm. Would not provide extra towels unless old ones were turned in.

The first room i was given had something similar to blood on the floor. The second room smelled stale. The toilet was covered with hair and the floor was sticky. The coffee machine in the lobby never worked in the 4 days we were there.

Me and my husband always stay here. Even though they now is already. They still give us a hard time and we never destroy the rooms. The front desk lady, I’m guessing she’s new. She’s very rude. I booked with my points. I’m a gold member but they don’t honer that here. They wouldn’t even let me check in early or check out late at 12. Mind you check out is at 11. You would think being a gold member you would get that option for free. Hotel lobby and halls smell. Breakfast is no good. Milk is sometimes spoiled. They never have anything new. Same stuff. Waffles, syrup, juice and two options of cereal. Coffee machine doesn’t work. They haven’t had butter for the waffles for a month now. Housekeeping comes knocking at the door 8am to ask if we want service. Way too early. I work over nights and need my sleep. Overall this experience was not great especially with the new front desk lady being very rude.

The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We only stayed for one night. It had everything we needed to comfortably get some sleep.

Parking was good. Staff ok. Breakfast still had a little over an hour for breakfast. No milk. No waffles had to ask for more waffle batter that was like pulling teeth. No coffee one staff came and got the coffee going. So if you want a good breakfast to start your day. Don't count on getting there

The rooms themselves were ok, but the shower head appeared to have mold, which was unpleasant and raised cleanliness concerns.

Rooms were dirty. Floors were sticky, there was hair all over the sheets. Two other families we know that also stayed moved rooms twice due to cleanliness before reluctantly settling in for the night.

Overall, everything was more or less okay, but cleanliness needs to be improved, as there were cockroaches in the room. This is the third time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and there are always cleanliness issues that need improvement, especially in the bathrooms, which have not been clean on any of the three occasions.

Our fridge didn’t really work, the staff barely spoke to us, the room had this nasty smell that wasn’t mildew but dirty unwashed. The elevator button only works sometimes and the gym wasn’t available. The staff however was nice enough to store our ice cream.

Me and my husband love staying here. A quiet hotel. And housekeeping does a great job cleaning the rooms. They could upgrade the breakfast. All they have is two kinds of cereal, a waffle maker, syrup, a juice machine and coffee. Some fruits or even toast would be great. Other than that we always enjoy our stay.

We stayed here with a group of families. The rooms were clean and the hotel felt modern and well designed, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, staff interactions were often unfriendly and difficult, and at times it felt like we were treated differently because we booked a discounted rate through Expedia. Breakfast was very minimal with no real protein options. We hope guest communication, hospitality, and breakfast quality improve for future visitors.

Had some random guy knocking on door staff wouldn’t assist. Don’t know if he was under the influence or what but knocked at our door and the room next door. Rooms had a weird smell. A lot of weird things going on. Check tires when leaving. They had several nails throughout lot like someone just threw around.

We stay for 4 days, 3 days out of 4 We needed to go the the lobby to complain about our room not being cleaned, their response was “oh, the problem is that we clean every 3 days” and we’re talking about the bed not being done, wet towels, etc. and lastly, there’s a sign that says “100 % smoke free facility “ and I also complained about the smell of weed along the hallway, we needed to extend our stay for another 4 days but we decided to go somewhere else. What a shame. NOT RECOMENDED

The outside was quite nice and so was the lobby. That is all. Staff stole from me twice. Very overpriced for the cheap towels, soap, hair dryer, bedding, and even “free breakfast”. Extremely disappointed.

Reviews on Booking and Expedia gave us hope; too bad we didn’t check Yelp before we checked in. Giving 1 star solely based on it being in a good area and the bed not being uncomfortable. I booked this hotel based on price, pictures and reviews. First of all, the pictures are very deceiving. And the reviews must be people they pay to stay in their hotel for good ratings. The check in guy, walks out barefooted. They give me a room that had filthy floors, I complain, they give me a different room, it reeked of weed. They give me a third room, it was filthy as well. And I killed a small roach on the desk. I went the bathroom and saw a large German roach sitting on the baseboard. I stayed in the room till traffic died down, and checked out. The baseboards looked like they had diarrhea on them. The bed frame was filthy, the couch cushions were disgusting and all broken down. The floors were dirty, the towels were dingy too. I felt so uncomfortable in that room that I couldn’t fathom sleeping there, so I left. I let the guy at the desk know I was leaving and they had roaches. He didn’t seem surprised and said he would let them know. Don’t be fooled by the new exterior. The floors in the room, were also coming unglued. You could feel them loose under your feet. This place is not fit for clean people to stay.

The decor is pretty heinous in the room but the bed was super comfortable. The staff is nice and the property is clean inside. I booked thinking it would be close to the airport but it’s about 30 minutes from IAH. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We liked that it was friendly, quiet, the room and bathroom was clean. We disliked the horrible breakfast. Zero stars. The comforter was stained which was bothersome and the remote didn’t work but the attendant helped with batteries.

I did an on-line check-in and had to basically do it over again in person. What was the point?!? Also…after already giving a credit card for «incidentals» on-line…I had to provide a 2nd one in-person…so I had 2 cards with $50 holds on them for nearly a week! The room had an overwhelming odor of strong cleaning products. It irritated my eyes and throat a bit. It seemed that they were trying to cover up underlying mold odors. I would not likely stay there again.

There was a terrible chemical smell. The young man at the desk showed me 3 other rooms on the first floor and 2 on the second. We were too tired to move but I wish we had. It helped a little to leave the door open for an hour but when we woke up it was choking. When i pulled my bed clothes out to wash at home the Oder permeated them. The only thing available for breakfast was a container of batter and a waffle iron.

What a great stay, I have a germ thing and I would still swim in the pool here. Room is extremely clean, beds are amazing , did not expect this from a hotel bed. Staff is great. Don’t expect to hook a PS5 up to the internet tho , this is a PlayStation problem tho not hotel issue . I will be staying here again.

I recommend this hotel to anyone that stays in the Kingwood area because it is the best hotel in the area and is located perfectly. Near Kroger, several restaurants, the hospital, and access to everything is great. Easy parking and very safe too.

Booked the Jacuzzi suite after a long day of moving in July heat. Walked in and the room immediately assaulted us with the smell of mildew. We chalked it up to being a Jacuzzi suite and left for dinner. Returned 2 hours later, and as my sister was excited to try the Jacuzzi tub she had to clean it herself. There was a ring of grime around the entire interior. Okay, so we'll deal with it, just one night right? I get in bed and not even ten minutes later poor vault out of the thing so fast you'd have thought it was on fire. A roach crawled across the duvet and friends, that was the final straw. We immediately gathered our belongings and went to the front desk to alert the employees of the issues. Not only did the man working not care, but he didn't seem surprised. Calls his manager who refuses to issue a refund because we "used" the room. Pretty sure we were in the room a total of 30 minutes. I will be requesting a refund from Expedia immediately, this kind of condition isn't just unsanitary, it's poor business sense. Would never stay here again. 0/10

If your looking for the best place overall to stay at in the Kingwood area,, this is the place. It is always nice and it's within walking distance to several restaurants as well as Kroger. And the owners are always onsite. I've stayed here for several years. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

I will never stay here again. The room was clean there was waffles for breakfast. Room service came and refreshed the towels and threw out the trash. But there wasn't a pool even though there was one pictured when I booked I have kids and it was hot outside. We were very disappointed 😞

It was an absolute nightmare. Save your money please. This place was deceptive due to the outer appearance. Which was nice and clean. When you walk in it's very modern. But when we got there first thing that happened is they gave us a room that was already occupied. When I went back to tell the gentleman at the desk he snatched the card from my hand and asked well did you see the sign implying I shouldn't have tried to open it because there was a do not disturb sign I didn't realize that at all. second room looked okay until me and my husband really started seeing bugs like roaches and I fell asleep and got bit up by something and when I woke up and tried to talk to the front desk they argued the fact about the roaches and and bites on my body. Long story short, they redused refund and lied to hotels.com stating they checked the room andvtgere were no bugs, tgat we were mistaken. So i went to the supervisor at hotels.com chat affter denied refund for the disgusting rooms and even more disgusting customer service the management had. I took video and pics and sent to prove they lied. The never even came to check. But denied refund for 2nd night that i was certainly not going to be staying there. When evidence was reviewed it was decided in my favor to receive full refund. I wont ever stay there again. Shout out to hotels.com though. They made it as right as possible.

Long story short, they redused refund and lied to hotels.com stating they checked the room andvtgere were no bugs, tgat we were mistaken. So i went to the supervisor at hotels.com chat affter denied refund for the disgusting rooms and even more disgusting customer service the management had. I took video and pics and sent to prove they lied. The never even came to check. But denied refund for 2nd night that i was certainly not going to be staying there. When evidence was reviewed it was decided in my favor to receive full refund. I wont ever stay there again. Shout out to hotels.com though. They made it as right as possible.

Woke up to roaches crawling on us and immediately left. Stayed there once before and there was a roach in the bathroom but we wrote it off because the storms had just passed. But after moving the bed it’s evident they’re aware of a pest problem that they’re not fixing in an effective manner.

I stayed at super eight for the past five or six days and the staff is all nice and ready to help and answer any questions that you might have. They’re real friendly you have every as any type of meal you want around there real close by everything is just Walking distance. It’s a nice place to stay the property is always well kept I would recommend this to anyone I know and I will continue to say every time I need a place I’ll come here just super

There 3 days, housekeeping didn’t once make beds or tend to room. Breakfast was horrible. Juice and coffee machines need cleaned badly. Totally disgusting

Used open soap in bathroom. No shampoo. Roaches. Maid bugged us at 10 am to checkout since they needed the room even though check out was at 11. And I am handicapped on crutches and was trying to hurry up and she kept yelling at me to hurry.

Roaches, and the heat did not work in my room. Also there was 4 of us booked for a double bed and they would only give us 2 towels at a time

This property had live cockroaches in our rooms. We also accidentally booked the wrong date and immediately notified the property but the manager wasn't available and when they finally were they refused to refund the room that we didn't stay in. Definitely won't be staying at any of these again.

The hotel itself was ok aside from finding live roaches. The breakfast is not really effective for a family but other than that it was ok.

A literal roach motel. Roaches and and stains all over the walls and floors. Dirt and trash in the hallways. This place is absolutely disgusting.

This was a disappointing experience. Staritng with a positive, the location was excellent.The floor had several spots of dry gum and we saw a number of cochroaches. The fitness room had nice equipment but was also very dirty.

The stay over all was fine. There was a man at the front desk who was nodded out completely when we checked in and when I woke him up to check us in he got an attitude with me. The hotel has roaches too

This place is terrible. Roaches everywhere. They would only give me 1 extra towel, and housekeeping only came in to take the extra towel - never cleaned the room at all. The sheets were stained and had holes. The floor was nasty and we all had to wear shoes the entire time.

The staff were great and super friendly, cleanliness was lacking some things on the wall and in the corners as well as a stain on the top blanket. The toilet handle was chipped and a piece was hanging off, when we checked out it had fallen off and since we e didn’t receive our deposit I assume that’s what we were charged for. Just didn’t like that it wasn’t us who broke it.

The place wasn’t a mess but everything could use some extra TLC. I had to ask that the fridge get cleaned because it was dirty and had a couple small dead bugs in it. The place needs to be deep cleaned and hasn't looked like it has had one in a year. The place was going through some nice renovations and appears that it wants to be a nice motel but I was staying with my family and we kept finding small dead roaches. Glad we only stayed one night and weren’t there most of the day because the place seemed to get worse and worse by the time we checked out. Thought i had more pictures of the place and fridge but may add them later

From the very beginning, manager on duty was very short and rude during check in. Walked around facility barefoot… “monitoring” the building the whole time and just staring at the guest?? Seemed odd. The hotel door to your room would “ding” every time you opened it, which was weird like they were keeping tags when you left your room etc. get into room and ROACHES EVERYWHERE. brown “poop” like stains on the sheets and blankets. Chewed gum stuck to the dressers. Upon leaving for check out, manager was getting off elevator “shooing” me instead of saying “excuse me” when he was in the way of guests trying to get on elevator. All around the worse experience I’ve ever encountered. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The room was dirty and had bugs. The fridege haad a moldy chili dog and moldy salasa in it. There was bloody hand print streaked across the wall. The desk chair arms were unraveling in tatters. The "breakfast" was just waffles and apple juice. The guy checking me in was rude. I will never stay at a super 8 ever again after this experience.

I have checked into the hotel and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I renewed my stay and it was quick and easy. The owner, she is just incredible with helping anyone for whatever the need may be. If you stay here, be ready to be taken care of!

Room had a damp musky smell, problem getting door to lock & latch. Mattress to soft for our liking. All I saw for breakfast was one kind of cold cereal & a waffle iron. We didn’t eat there. Coffee hot but not tasty

Arrived at the hotel,checked in and got our key and as we was walking up to our room door,the door was open. The beds was not made,the door to the bathroom wouldn't shut and the floors was dirty. Went and told the clerk and she said it was laundry day and they had stripped all of the rooms to clean and do laundry. We went to go eat at Brewingz across the street, came back and the beds were made but had stains on them. Told the clerk and she just said ok and finally sent some up to redo the beds. Getting new towels was a headache too because we couldn't get any unless we bought the old ones down to the clerk and then they kept asking why did we need so many towels and we just needed two big towels and four face towels and we didnt get them. Worst experience ever and i won't book again

We had to wait 30 minutes to check in and we were tired from the road. There are no business services like they said. We just wanted to print a boarding pass and the clerk did not understand us. We went to eat and 3 guys could not check in because no one was around. They were still there when we got back! They must of paid already because i would not have the patience. Everywhere we stay this trip was shabby shady and mis represented by EXPEDIA

After dropping off our luggage and going to dinner, we returned and found that one of the rooms was infested with roaches! Upon further inspection, the rooms were filthy! There was excessive hair on the couch even though it's a pet free property and the couch cushions were stained. At the other room we pulled some of the furniture back to check for bugs and it was just filthy. The rooms also had an unpleasant body odor smell. We requested to change rooms but no other rooms were available so we decided to change hotels and request a refund. The staff said we would have to return the next day to speak with the manager. We returned the next morning and spoke to the manager. She said she called pest control and explained that flying cockroaches must have flown into the air condition and gotten into the room... We requested a full refund for both the rooms but only received a partial refund. Will never visit this hotel again.
