Decently clean, the rest of the building was not. For what we paid, it was decent.

The room was clean. The curtain wouldn’t close properly. The AC/Heat worked well. The TV was large, and the furniture was nice. The room was quiet. The coffee maker worked perfectly. Plenty of hot water.

We didn’t eat breakfast. Parking is easy and felt safe. Hotel needs work - dirty side entrance, loose wires hanging from wall, elevator needs a makeover. Room was fairly- bedsheets were clean, bathroom could have been cleaned better- door and walls. Overall, it’s exactly what I expected for the price I paid.

It was loud and we didnt get to sleep hardly because of that. The sink makes a horrible noise when it backs up. There was loud banging noises all night both nights. The floor was sticky. The food was garbage. When I told the front desk nothing was done about it.

Nothing The smell of pot hit you in the face as soon as you walked in to the lobby. Staff was nonexistent and when we went to check out on the same day we checked in the lady had a horrible attitude. We ask for a refund and never received it. Do not go here!

The breakfast was very good and the location was great. So close to the Casino.

Nasty with a capital 'N'. The property looks like it had a recent renovation but the room and common areas, elevator, etc were so dirty and smelled terrible. The floor in our room was sticky, walls had streaks of grime running down them, bad smell. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. Elevator was dirty, grimy. The access door on the side of the building was broken so it was open and unlocked. Would not stay there again, not even for a night passing through. Many other hotels nearby that are similar in price and much cleaner.

The lotion and shampoo was mostly used that they give you there was stuff all inside of the bathtub. The only thing that was actually good about this hotel was their breakfast. The room smelled like cigarettes and there’s no smoking on the door you smelled like marijuana in the hallways.

The mattress was stained horribly and furniture was dusty , the chair was to nasty to even sit in. The floor left the bottom of your dirty after walking on it. The water in the sink took five minutes or more just to drain when brushing my teeth. So no I would not recommend this motel to anyone nor would I even stay here again.

We will not be returning to this hotel. The staff was the best part of this hotel. They were kind and accommodating. The property did not look or feel safe at night. When we arrived, there were two men in the back parking lot, seemingly inebriated, laughing loudly. The glass door that was on the first floor, which went out to the side parking lot, did NOT latch, which was a safety concern that anyone could walk in and be in the hotel that was not a paying customer. The first floor smelled of smoke, the elevator was dirty, and the tiles were broken as you entered the elevator door. Our first room was very dirty. The furniture had stains, and the bathroom was not cleaned as I feel a Comfort Inn quality should be. We asked kindly to move to the second floor, and the lady at the front accommodated us. When we arrived, the curtain did not close as it was torn and dirty. The phone did not work, and there were several small dead bugs in our shower. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can not comment on the menu. I was very disappointed in the quality and cleanliness we got for the amount of money we paid. This hotel needs to be renovated and cleaned.

Not easy to get to the elevator from the lobby. Water was out when we stayed there. It was fixed later but no coffee for breakfast. Other than that everything was okay for our stay.

Dirty, but better than it was 10 years ago. Still smells bad. Breakfast was good. Sausage was questionable about how much pork was actually in it.everyone was polite and helpfull. Motels standards are low everywhere nation wide.

Stayed an extra night. Checked out n checked back in. Same room given and trash hadn’t been dumped or room serviced. Had it not been my room the night before o would’ve checked out. Will not use this establishment again.

It was well lit @ night! Free breakfast & coffee available 24/7. The staff was friendly & helpful. Just that it’s like a maze to get the elevator. It was a big water bug on the wall but I killed it with my sandal

Also, the front desk staff were wonderful. I don't think I have stayed anywhere with a friendlier, more helpful front desk staff. They are exceptional!! The room, was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. And the security was well implemented so that I felt completely safe staying there alone. This location will be on my list anytime I need to be overnight in Kings Mountain, NC.

Checking in was a breeze. The place is a little older, and if you’ve never been there you would not know which way to go to the rooms but the front desk person explained. The hotel room smelled like cigarettes when we rented a non smoking room.

Elevator looked like it was going to fall apart, water in shower barely got warm, plug in bathroom didn't work so I couldn't blow dry nor use my hair straightener at the mirror. Room was right in front of Elevator and it sounded like doors were slamming or the Elevator ding went off the entire night, so we barely got any sleep.

While the lobby is updated and welcoming the rest of the property is in disrepair. The hallway carpets and elevators and rooms need cleaning and just general up keep. A place could be old but still clean. This place is not!

Front desk were kind and friendly but the noise above 1st floor were bad. Like 5am someone just make loud noise and very disturbing. But the room were comfortable and the price is pretty good.

Yes,the parking was safe. I believe you need more handycap parking. Im handycap and the 2 spaces were taken. The vehicles did not have a placard or plate that said handycap. I am greatly disappointed with that. Everything else was fantastic.

However upon arrival after a long day of travel we immediately had to switch rooms because we found stains all over the mattress that looked like signs of bed bug. The new room was better but still not all that clean and we are still planning to spend our whole first day back home trying to make sure we don’t bring bed bugs into the home

Could not check in, as their systems to run cards was down. People with cash could check in. I got ready for my event in the lobby bathroom. Was granted a late check out for 12 noon, only for house keeping to walk in my room at 11:15am while I was completely naked.

There was dried puke in the lampshades & on the window, sheets were not changed as there was hair and makeup all under the covers. The toilet seat was not cleaned, and the floor was dirty as if not swept. I couldn’t confirm that housekeeping done anything else other than make the beds.

We dust the bed out and pull the comforter up and slept on our own sheets and cover for 2 days. There was so many bigger roaches crawling around. I didn’t cause a scene because you get what you pay for. Will never stay here again.

The furniture needs replacing. The toilet was loose. The house keeper slammed doors every morning waking me up. Not a good stay. Won't be going back there ever.

Nice lobby, comfortable beds, fluffy pillows. But there were roaches in both rooms, and the tub was clogged in the second room I was transferred to, so I couldn’t comfortably take a shower without standing in water. Glad it was just for 1 night.

The tv and fridge did not work. I told the staff they gave me a new remote. Still did not work. Said someone would come to check it, nobody did.

The hotel looks like they have remolded some areas but other areas are very old. The walls, doors, hard surfaces, and floors needed wiped down and mopped. Every soft surface/item was stained. (Chair, duet cover, pillow cases, sheets, and towels) furniture was very worn. Missing and damaged outlet covers. We did not use the microwave or refrigerator so not sure how they worked. Some mold in the shower and must have also been somewhere else in the room. Our sinuses and throats were swollen and raw by morning but did clear up not long after we left the hotel.

The bottoms of my feet and my husband's socks were black from walking in the room. Handicap commode was way too low--rundown bathroom. Breakfast was put out one time, no one was there to replenish or clean up during the serving hours. By 9:00 there was no hot anything other than coffee or a waffle. Hotel needs major renovation.

Staff is outstanding. Very helpful and friendly. Pool experience and outdooring grilling are was exceptionally comfortable. Manager (Joel) is great at his job! Thank you Comfort Inn.

Swimming pool and outside grill area with covered structure was excellent. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The manager was beyond expectations. Great place to be for the new casino close by. Lots of restaurants on the same road.

Went down stairs ans was told to come back in the morning. Left came back old towels taken no new towel trash emptied no new trash bags. Had to keep apologizing to my son for the room. Close to where i needed to go but will try harder to find a different hotel next time. Hope Hawaii wont be like this in a few weeks

The common areas were very dirty. The bed was very comfortable & room was quiet. I would not stay here again.

My 1st choice in King Mounain

I was a little concerned about this place after the reviews I saw but it is not bad at all. It's an older hotel but very comfortable and breakfast was wonderful

From the check in to the check out everything was smooth. Close and convenient to Kings Mountain where we had to go.

Broken and ragged furniture in the room. Room phone unplugged and not working (entire phone system disabled during construction) Nice pool, but gate locked because pool closed pending some inspection, with no sign anywhere. Daytime front desk manager could not have cared any less about my dissatisfaction.

It was half clean no soap to wash hands and looked like shower was not cleaned old bar soap was still in shower .that has been used. Did not shower there. Most of the room looked clean but bathroom was not. I feel it just needs an update its starting to look rundown . It was a clean bed to sleep and that’s about it sorry did not care much for it.

Only stayed one night, but it was a beautiful motel felt it was very clean. The only thing I wish was the breakfast gave more healthy choices. Maybe a sourdough bread for toast or a yogurt, but they did have eggs, bacon, oats, waffles anything else you could possibly want on the breakfast bar?

Overall property stay wasn’t bad for the price, I wouldn’t say that the bathroom was very clean. The sheets were clean and overall i would stay again.

Toilet seat in room was broken. Cleanliness was substandard. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Great place

I love to stay at this Comfort Inn 2 or 3 times a year. It's very convenient to shopping dinning and the 2 kings casino. It about 11 minute to the veteran state park in south Carolina

They were all nice and friendly people

Room had been renovated and was clean and spacious! Front desk staff and breakfast staff were extremely welcoming and kind. The hotel is undergoing renovations and some areas are still showing the need for some TLC but it’s a work in progress and they are getting it done.

Cannot complain given the fair price. Older propery. Everyone friendly.

The staff went above and beyond. Bed was comfortable. Housekeeping, Sylvia was beyond good! The property is rundown but they are doing some work. Concern about doors left open where someone could come in on the side undetected. Pool is not maintained. Mostly “average” travelers but to be honest there were several sketchy people that I wouldn’t have felt safe had I been alone. Constantly people sitting in cars in the parking lot. Fast food only food option nearby except one Mexican Restaurant.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, I stayed here because I was being cheap DO NOT make my mistake pay the extra 40 bucks to be able to feel safe drug use everywhere the first room smell like death and feces

This facility needs a complete overhaul. It's run down and outdated and has a pest problem. I was very disappointed with this facility, I'd had a completely opposite experience the week prior in the Comfort Suites in Shelby, NC, approximately 20 minutes away.

the hotel was being renovated and everything was dirty and torn up. Security doors would not close, elevator was disgusting, and the entire night was ridiculous. Nothing about the renovation on the website which just added to the unpleasantness. Took everything I could do to not have gf leave and go to a different hotel. I wont be back.

Close to casino

Elevator floors are filthy. walls in the elevator needs to be cleaned. Floors outside elevator needs to be cleaned. No phone in room, No drawers to put personal clothes away out of site. Too much noise from fan when turning on light in the bathroom. No where to hang towels in bathroom. More negatives not mentioned. Hoping these items can be corrected on my next stay.

I felt unsafe as a mom traveling alone with a child. We got there, inside was super sketchy and messy dirty. There were diaper boxes and dirty socks and loud tvs and everything was broken down and toulet paper was shoved into a non-existent peep hole. I got there, checked in, got to my room, was so uncomfortable that I turned around and left. I would absolutely not recommend this for women alone, or families.

Towels are big and soft, bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. The TV remote did not work but they were very quick to replace it. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were watery and nasty. They were out of regular coffee. There was a safety issue, the outside door did not lock. Anyone could have come in. We only stayed one night, but would stay there again.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever been to! We travel ALOT and stay at a lot of places but this was by far the worst. I definitely will not be back. I reserved and pd for two nights but I only stayed one night and it wasn’t by choice there were no more rooms in the area. There is trash everywhere and sketchy people walking around the hotel asking for money and other things. I didn’t sleep all night worrying about. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. When I went to check out I told the gentleman why I was checking out early and he sd “I apologize “. No one should have to pay and stay at a place like this! The only positive was there were no bed bugs bc you better believe I checked thoroughly ! Don’t let the outside appearance of the front of the building fool you like it us! Everything is DISGUSTING the furniture, walls, floors, and the bathtub!! The parking lot looked like a mechanic shop. As u can tell our experience was terrible!

Nice place but could have been cleaned and properly sprayed for roaches.

Room was very nice clean and well stocked bathroom and coffee bar. Everything worked Tv, refrigerator and microwave was clean.

The staff was very friendly. However, we found a roach in our room. When we went to bed, not what we were looking for.

I stop here whenever I’m heading to Atlanta and have never been disappointed.

I stayed here for business trip. Smelled weed the whole time. Lots of unsavory characters lurking everywhere. Back entrance left open with no thought of security.

My reservation was declined because of the date which was correct, would like a refund

Bathroom was very small.

This hotel is extremely outdated and rundown. There was an odor throughout and our bathroom smelled like weed. The eggs at breakfast were disgusting. You would chew and water would just ooze out. So gross.

I booked this room for a quick overnight stay for my son’s baseball tournament. We arrived after 8pm to check in, the lady up front was nice enough but you could tell this hotel was old and semi kept up. Once we got our keys we went to our room only to find that it was a room that had not been cleaned (bed had been slept in and dirty wet towels on the floor of the bathroom)! This was completely unacceptable!! I went straight back down to let the lady know and she promptly found me another room, she said sorry but didn’t seem to act surprised. The 2nd room was at least clean but the paint on the walls of the bathroom was chipping off and the toilet would not flush completely. Water pressure in shower was weak. The elevator was old and looked sketchy so I used the stairs. Some areas looked as though they were trying but other areas were just very old and worn looking. Breakfast was edible, the OJ wasn’t working but the coffee was actually good. Overall not a great experience and honestly if a hotel gives you a dirty room then your stay should be comped immediately, no questions asked. I won’t ever stay here again.

Loved it. Very convenient

Toilet would not flush so had to request a different room. Staff was able to accommodate and we got a room with working facilities. Elevator was dirty. Waffle batter was still out in breakfast area when we checked in at 8pm so we skipped breakfast the next morning.

An older hotel that appears to be going through some updates. I came from Asheville during the hurricane looking for a warm shower, comfy bed, and electricity. It had all that. Water pressure left a lot to be desired. Didn't sleep much from the construction crews going to Asheville coming and going all night and hearing a door slam but can't really blame the hotel for that.

Every one is going to have a different experience but as for me personally, I would definitely stay here again. I stayed here 7 nights and every day when I would leave for work breakfast and coffee was hot, ready and available. When I would get back around 6 my bed was made, my room was clean, and I always had fresh towels ready for me.

Due to the circumstances of not having power at home, I chose to get a room. Overall moldy smell in the hallway and room, dirty toilet and shower(cleaned it myself before using)white paint on the wall and sitting furniture, stain on the bedding and woke up to a large roach in the floor.
