We have, and will continue to, recommend your services to other people and contacts. Our stay could not be more satisfied with your service, and we look forward to continuing this relationship. The down side about this location was the parking space, that will be the only issue about this place which is not mention on there site. Hopefully, they would take care of the parking situation. All the best, RICHARD

I liked the location because it was close to Hudson County Community College, where our conference was being held. If you want to step into a time machine where you feel transported to a psychiatric institution with carpeting out of The Shining, stagnant and humid air, an institutional restroom complete with heavy metal doors, and a shower curtain that is 4" too short to trap any water from covering the entire institutional tiled floor, this is the place for you! The walls were so thin, we could hear entire conversations taking place in the next room. I'd spend the extra $50 and stay downtown by the waterfront in a more modern, clean, and updated facility that feels like a nice hotel, rather than an old institution.

Just a .3 mile walk to Journal Square PATH trains. Nice convenience store in Journal Square PATH station. About 15 minute train ride to Newark Penn and WTC. Building is old. Bathroom was extremely small but that can't be helped. Hot eggs and bacon for breakfast.

Excellent value for money for those who want to stay close to New York without paying Manhattan prices. The hotel has a pleasant and well-maintained common area, and all the staff members we interacted with were polite and helpful throughout our stay. Another positive aspect is the location: the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the third train station after entering New Jersey, making it very convenient to travel to and from New York City. All rooms are carpeted, which triggered allergy symptoms in everyone staying in our room. Even those who do not normally suffer from rhinitis or sinus issues experienced discomfort that seemed related to dust in the room. In addition, the breakfast is exactly the same every day and offers very limited variety, which can become repetitive for guests staying several days.

First, if you are driving in, don't. There is no parking at the hotel. The closest garage is a few blocks away ($25/day, no in and out). The front desk was less than helpful in sharing this information until after I had spent 45 minutes driving around trying to find one. Second the room. We had a two queen bed room, which looked absolutely nothing like the picture in the website. What would normally be the living room had a queen bed, dresser, desk and two chairs in it. The other room had a queen bed, one small side table and no dresser. The kicker was that getting to the bathroom required going through rhe bedroom. The carpets were old and worn. The elevators are tiny. There was a funky smell that permeated the entire hotel. The only positive part of the stay was the breakfast. They had a decent selection of food and beverage.

I was looking for an affordable, but a cozy accomodation close to New York. One of my colleagues suggested to take a look in Jersey City. It is close to Manhattan and easly reachable from here. Overall I was really happy with my stay, the staff was friendly and helpful. It was easily reachable from the JFK airport (took 80-100 mins), while to Newark they offered free transfer, which I could try the way back (30-35 mins). The room was quite big with kettle, microwave and fridge. The hotels are quite expensive in the region, it was still a more expensive one for me, but it definitely worth, and my overall experience was good. The breakfast was also ok for me. If I have a chance to come again, I definitely consider this place again. Early checkin was expensive, but at least I could use a bathroom to change my clothes. Trains to New York cost over 3$, while bus ticket was 5$ for every trip. Even if it takes just 30 minutes to go to NY city center, this needs to be calculated. I took maximum 2 rounds per day, so for me it still worth.

Parking is limited, but available for a daily fee. The neighborhood is in transition - lots of construction. Nonetheless, the Ramada is very nice. The rooms we had were surprisingly large. The air conditioners are very efficient. Free breakfast is excellent. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Elevators are very slow. Not very soundproof and my floor creaked everytime I walked on it. As a 5'7" tall XL woman: The sink was below my crotch which is fine for a disability accessibility standpoint, but the toilet seat was also very small.

They have a few parking spots in a very tight lot. You need to check in first and then find out of you can get a spot for $37 a day. The parking lot was hard to find at first and the entrance is a walk all the way around. The breakfast was good. Room was large. Bathroom was fine but older models. The staff at the desk were very nice and one employee even gave us his parking spot. So, once we found the place and were able to park and settle in our room, it was ok. It’s in a very congested and busy area.

Staff was efficient and cordial. The location was geographically convenient, but sidewalks are broken and risky to navigate. The room was freshly painted and seemed quite clean. Internet was good. I had to dry myself with hand towels after my shower because I could not reach the bath towels. The room was on the first floor, right on the sidewalk so my rest was affected by traffic and the loud talking by pedestrians. There was a digital vendor in the lobby for snacks and sundries, but none of the products I selected were in its inventory, so I wasted time trying to pay there and finally had to pay for them at the desk. I worked at my computer until after dark and then realized that once the lights were on in the room passers-by could see through the filtering shades into the room.

The comfort of the bed. Breakfast free. Location to stores. The staff is not friendly. I never feel welcome. I'm always charged $250 USD for an incident fee. Check in after 3:00 pm I waited 20 minutes for my room. Never a friendly smile to me.

Very poor and messy place, things are broken down. When I checked in I specifically asked for a quiet room, they sent me to a room directly next to the road level on 2nd floor; the when I asked to change, were very hesitant and gave me only one option which is a very broken down room on the third floor. 2 out of 3 lamp not working, carpet smells.

I had reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each, what I ended up getting was 2 rooms with a queen and a double. The bathroom is so tiny and is directly behind the door to the room, so you can’t keep the bathroom door open to alleviate the claustrophobia because you can’t get into the room. The one unexpectedly nice thing was that the double bed was in a separate room, so my daughter could have privacy. The air conditioning came in the form of window units (base models) so there wasn’t any control of what the room temperature was. The included breakfast consisted of microwaveable egg patties and Eggo Waffles with some store bought pastries and fruit.

The hotel is also right around the corner from a street that has many restaurants, markets and stores, right along the way to/from the train station, so it is extremely convenient!! Most stores open around 9, 10 in the morning while the supermarkets are opened earlier. The hotel offers a good spread of breakfast which is included in your stay. It is a smoke free hotel and has airport shuttle to the Newark airport (make sure to check the time available first). They clean and restock daily. The AC worked well for us, no issue there. The bathroom is dated but it is clean and that matters. The room was very spacious for us.

The hotel was very conveniently located near the train station, just 15 minute walk. Although the neighborhood appeared a bit old and rough around the edges, it felt completely safe to walk around. The two gentlemen working the night shift at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. They kindly arranged a very convenient room for us, which was especially appreciated since I was traveling with my mom. Overall a great value for money - comfortable, convenient, and well worth the price.

The hotel itself felt safe, but you know the city is nothing to write home about. All in all we would stay here again!

For this to be such a reputable chain I am very disappointed. The place is sub par by any standards. Looks like a put together old Times Square hotel room that you would see in a horror film. Nothing like the online pictures! I should have figured it out by the fact there was only pictures of the outside and common areas....no pictures of the "newly renovated rooms". It was giving very much refurbished migrant hotel. Never again and for those considering booking DONT!

The hotel is definitely dated but room is spacious. Staff are nice. The best part is definitely free shuttle service to & from Newark airport.

Great stay! Very clean and safe to stay in. Surrounding area is a little bit sketchy at some times but overall I had no issues. Close to Journal City Station (six minute walk). Staff was friendly and committed to helping customers and our room was much larger than anticipated even having a kitchenette in our one bed room.

The hotel itself is great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was larger than I expected, and clean. The breakfast wasn't very impressive but it was free! The only problem with this hotel is its location. It's confusing to get to and traffic is always backing up on the street out front. We lucked out and found street parking nearby.

I was really worried upon arrival ...NO onsite parking. However the staff answered the phone before the 3rd ring and provided address of nearest parking garage. Bedding was very clean. Area not so great kids playing in the street kept me awake until after MIDNIGHT.

The property is in a shady looking part of town. Traffic is rough and no onsite parking. One spot for unload and loading. Parking is two blocks away. Now, I never really felt unsafe, staff is friendly, but the building is older. Older not in a classical sense, but it is not modern, shows its age in a mediocre way.it was very clean and staff was great. .

Condition of the Hotel is PATHETIC. Major Lift not working for 4 days. The breakfast finishes at 9am though the closing time is 10am. Service staff STARES at you if asked for REFILL. Mangers says SORRY for not SERVING Breakfast, informs they EXHAUSTED SUPPLIES. I stayed with Family for 6 days and was VERY DISAPPOINTED with RAMADA BRAND.

It had all of the essentials needed in a short-term stay. My only complaint is that the only mirror in the room was the one in the bathroom! I’d recommend a full length mirror as it’s always nice to have one when making ‘fashion’ decisions!

Parking was very difficult to find and too expensive, in my opinion, for the car to not even be in a secure, well-lit or even convenient location. The room was too much too, considering that the only AC available is a noisy window unit, and the bathroom has zero ventilation. I guess it's good that the AC drowns out some of the street noise. I didn't feel that it was very clean. I'm not a germophobe at all really but was not comfortable walking around without shoes. It's an old building, which I get and normally appreciate, but could not shake the feeling that I was paying that much for lazily for converted low-income housing. The place was a bit of a maze and the breakfast was mostly gross. Unless your reason for staying at this location is literal proximity to that specific neighborhood or there are no other options available, I'd skip.

When we arrived, someone had turned the thermostat up to 85 degrees in our room. It was stifling (in March). We opened the windows, but it took forever to cool down and actually remained overly warm all night even with the heat turned off. The bathroom was very small, but OK. One of the window shades fell down. Breakfast was fair. We parked in the hotel lot which cost $37 per night and when we went to leave, we were parked in by a staff member, so we had to return and get someone to move the car. Overall, not the best experience, but OK. Location is good if you’re taking the train into NYC.

I enjoyed that breakfast was included, however it was supposed to be until 10:00 a.m., yet I had to ask every morning at 9:00 a.m. for more bananas and pork sausages. I was told there were no more pork sausages on 2 of the 4 occasions i went for breakfast. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very rundown, but clean.

This was a terrible stay. The windows did not properly shut and it was about 10 degrees outside and the heater did not work. The hotel never sent anyone to look at it. Apparently many of the rooms were having that issue. The staff offered no help. The plumbing did not work either and it smelled like sewage. The breakfast was terrible. Everything pretty much came out of a microwave. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel and all their people are absolutely very nice hotel, I will be back sometime in the future.

It has only 2 pull in spots to unload in front of hotel...need to go to parking area behind hotel...not a big issue. Staff very friendly..its was or 2nd time here and they renovated the place ...will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was very large, the people were friendly and helpful
- 5/5
It was a great price, staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to train station. Room, bedding and sheets were clean and matched expectations. Continental breakfast which was well stocked and taken care of. However, hotel didn’t seem to be in a great neighborhood and building itself seemed run-down. Under renovations but more than that, it was an old apartment that had been turned into a hotel. Finishing details were missing -no trim in bathroom, cracked old flooring in bathroom, very old tub and fixtures, etc. I felt like the pictures and description were misleading. I would simply have preferred to know ahead of time.
- 5/5
Great location. 7 minute walk to the train to the city. Shuttle to/from airport. Loved the 2 separate room arrangement. Water temps at bathroom sink were reversed but we figured it out. lol.

Convenient location for restaurants and access to NYC - friendly staff
- 1/5
Room was not clean, very outdated, staff unfriendly, location poor
- 3/5
Property was under construction during our stay. There is no parking on site and the nearest lot is 5-10 minute walk. Neighborhood is definitely not the best. It is close to the PATH station, which was convenient for trip into NYC.
- 5/5
We had problem with the rooms not giving adequate heat and a maintenance guy came to check the rooms. Rooms were clean and towels were adequate. Water pressure was strong and enough hot water. The hotel give enough variety for breakfast. It is a walking distance to Journal Square Path Train/ parking garage and a diner. The area is always busy with people/cars and buses that I did not feel unsafe walking at night.
- 5/5
Undergoing remodeling so dont mind the masking tape. Clean and comfortable rooms, easy access to Tunnels/highways, limited parking, decent place for a decent price.

Hotel needs a major renovation. I had to change my room 3 times : first one - didn’t have a hear, another one - TV was not workings. Then the phone in the room wasn’t working but I refused to move again. It was only 1 night for me, coming from NYC on my work assignment . You can’t go out as there is nothing in the neighbourhood. We took a cab and went downtown which was nice. Never stay there again
- 4/5
This property is extremely convenient to the NJ PATH train into NYC. (It’s a block and a half walk). There is also a parking garage one block away. This hotel is going through renovations so there is work being done inside to improve the aesthetics. Breakfast options were good and Free. Would stay again.

Nice comfortable bed. Carpets are old since its an old bldg small bathroom for em 406 but room is good size I like that there is a smaller room with a full size bed that is private. The hair conditioner you cant get it out of the bottle. Small doors and elevator and no lobby ramp for wheel chair easier access
- 5/5
No parking on site but not far. Good alternative to NY.
- 4/5
Good location , kind of old decoration
- 5/5
The property was nice. It was fairly close to the PATH train.
- 4/5
The hotel was decent. Dated but they tried to paint over the old. Had a lot of room. Neighborhood was interesting at night. Free shuttle to Newark airport was nice. And easy to take the PATH to Manhattan.
- 4/5
This was my 2nd stay at Ramada. The property is 8 mins from Jornal Square and 10 mins to some nice India restaurants.
- 2/5
Desk staff rude and disrespectful. Was highly disappointed that there was little customer service at all. No good morning, no thank you for your stay, just attitude. I asked about the deposit return of $250, which I was not told about, and all I got was “we will process it”. I’ll never recommend this hotel to anyone. I understand they are renovating but you’d think they would be more accommodating. I have difficulty hearing and the desk agent wouldn’t speak up when asked. Bathroom toilet area was extremely small. My husband , who is average weight has difficulty getting up and down in the cramped space. Had my sons, who are larger sized men, been with us, they would never have fit. Hall way in room was extremely tight. Again trying to maneuver bags, and even a larger person would be impossible. The only good thing about our stay was the bed.

Staff was top notch. The facilities were outdated. This is an older property. Its very convenient to food and a short walk to the PATH station which makes it accessible to NYC. I would stay again.
- 5/5
Loved the staff for being professional and accommodating.

Not far from the PATH line, good for getting into Manhattan and Newark airport. Low income area but safe enough. Free shuttle bus to Newark terminals was a pleasant surprise
