The staff are friendly and the property is clean. There was only one elevator working and there was not enough breakfast for all the guests.

Regarding the actual property, it is a newer build and everything worked as expected. Had hot water everyday, everything drained, no odd noises or smells. What really sets apart this hotel is the staff. I found everyone to be extremely pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. The provided breakfast was great, everything was hot everyday and fresh. I suppose the only negative, and I shouldn't be surprised, is the parking. It is valet only, and reading some other reviews. It seems like the rate changes or is at least variable depending on when you stay. It is not included in the cost of the room.

It is overrated, do not be misled by the high rating. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and by far this is the worst one I have ever stayed. The location is on a very busy road with gas stations. It does not feel safe to walk on the sidewalk and you have to wait long for the traffic light to turn green. If you want to travel to Manhattan you have to walk 15 min and take Path train which is also not so practical. Do not recommend if you are planning to see Manhattan. They have a garage and valet service 41$ per day. No easy to reach restaurants, cafes, stores on foot. There is a large supermarket but also it is designed mostly to reach by car. The hotel breakfast is very limited, no cheese or simple ingredients like bread options, tomatoes or even tea. Hotel personnel does not care much and are rather rude.

Warm and accommodating staff upon check-in and for the valet. The check-in staff member ensured that I was comfortable in my room, even giving me a different room when I requested it without hesitation. The room was clean and had a great view of Manhattan. The breakfast selection was impressive with variety. Very nice hotel in the middle of it all!

The hotel room was still dirty. The floor was so dirty. The bathroom is not clean like it’s supposed to be so I’ll give it 2.5 stars, but everybody was friendly. I do say that much.

Great staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms. Great location in proximity to the Holland Tunnel, and a 15 min walk to the Ferries and Path trains to Manhattan. Within walking distance to great local restaurants and shopping near by. Valet attendants were amazing in terms of keeping our car safe and also providing a lot of insight to the local surroundings and giving directions etc with a smile. Overall great experience, only a bit hectic to get to with rush hour traffic, but off peak times were fine.

We checked in to your hotel 05/25/2026 at 2:15 PM. We were informed that our room was not ready yet and would only be available at 3:00 PM. Additionally, the response we received was firm, simply stating that “it is written in the rules.” What we find difficult to understand is how, in a hotel where check-out is at 11:00 AM, rooms are still not ready until 3:00 PM, while guests arriving after long journeys are expected to wait. We honestly expected a more solution-oriented and welcoming approach from your staff in terms of guest satisfaction. We believe that a truly good hospitality experience is built not only on rules, but also on genuine hosting and consideration for guests.

solid 4/5 because it’s nothing fancy but it was clean and quiet and room was relatively spacious. But the parking is limited in terms of spaces and pricey maybe prevents 5/5. It would have been nice to reserve parking spot when you book so that you’re guaranteed it, because the valet service said we got the last one and would have had to drive to different place to park - less secure etc.

We stayed three nights. Our room was cleaned everyday and the hotel was clean itself. Valet was very easy and our vehicles were well taken care of. Our room slept 5 people without issue. The breakfast was good!

Claramente no parecía una habitación correctamente mantenida ni preparada para recibir huéspedes. Solicitamos un cambio de habitación inmediatamente, pero nos informaron que no tenían disponibilidad. Finalmente hicimos el reclamo correspondiente y el hotel nos devolvió el dinero. Aun así, tuvimos que salir de urgencia a buscar otro hotel en la zona y pagar tarifas de mostrador mucho más altas por no haber reservado con anticipación. Una experiencia muy decepcionante y totalmente por debajo de lo esperable para un Holiday Inn.

The best part of this stay was Fatou. She was gracious and kind and so helpful. The room was beautiful and clean and had beautiful view of the nearby skyline.

Everything 100% only bad thing was parking $40 a day

Overall a very comfortable stay. Really appreciated that they had laundry on site (requires quarters). While the immediate vicinity is next to a very busy road, it’s pretty easy to walk or transit around to many areas. Breakfast was typical of hotels at this range. Nothing special.

The location not too far from PATH station, about 20 min walk. Breakfast was nice. The breakfast area was too crowded. The room needed more deep cleaning. There was hair in the bathroom.

Parking is not included. There is a $40 fee and it is not specified at the time of booking. If you do not pay it, they take it from the security deposit. Cleanliness was not a priority for this property. My room did not have towels and did not have sheets and blankets for the sofa bed. The bathroom was very dirty. It did not look like they mopped it when it was “cleaned”.

Great breakfast options, rooms were spacious and clean, staff members were really helpful and cooperative. Had a good experience overall. A bit far from the path, but we knew that while booking, so no major concerns.

Food and the bed was good. The floor wasn’t cleaned and someone rudely interrupted my stay that night and the front desk supervisor was aware.

Unfortunately I had to experience a not so pleasant incident. My ipad got broken in my room by a cleanning staff and the hotel didn’t take responsibility for it.

Excellent helpful and friendly staff, well equipped spacious rooms. Close to all useful stores(supermarket, Target, Best Buy, Liquor, DIY). Decent breakfast. Free coffee machines all day in the lobby are a nice bonus. Only a few minutes walk from smart downtown Jersey City. The surroundings resemble an urban hellscape, directly next to 5 lanes of constant traffic, and 8(!) gas stations. The stench of fuel fumes greets you each time you exit the hotel. Initial entry to check in is only possible from inside the parking garage, which has no safe access route on foot.

Put me in a room right next to Ice Machine. Kept me up all night. Free breakfast ended at 9:30am, too early. Surrounding neighborhood dirty, loud and unsafe.

Parking was not good... we were lucky enough to get a spot in the garage but there is only about a dozen. The location is rough but guess that's the city. Jersey City is extremely dirty.

Leo greeted us every morning and each and every time. He is a kind person who has amazing staff. The breakfast was great with just enough to select from. My wife and I are looking forward to our next stay there.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff was super nice. The room was huge. They texted me the first night if everything was ok I replied asking for the tv remote and the shower curtain and they sent them to the room immediately. Me and my family are very happy with the hotel.

We loved our stay at this hotel! The breakfast was super convenient for families with kids, and the location couldn’t be better — close to shopping, restaurants, and easy transportation into NYC. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was really nice and comfy, which was great. The view from the windows was awesome. It was amazing to see the Empire State Building from the room window. It was a super relaxing and memorable stay, a really good experience. The hotel totally blew me away, and they had breakfast every morning.

This property is great if you are on budget. However, it is not close any transportation if you need to go to New York. You will have to uber to the train station since it's too far to walk. The property is next the main street right out of the tunnel and it's very busy.

While the staff were very friendly, the hotel was dirty. Mold in the shower, walls had gunk on them. I was only there for one night, thankfully. The view of the top of the rusty Shell Station was a nice touch. Parking situation is quite ridiculous, as well. The breakfast was overcrowded and the spread was subpar. I never leave a bad review anywhere, but I feel it to be a duty in this case. Just don't stay here unless all you need is a bed to sleep in.

Holidays Inns are Holiday Inns. Great stop for a quick business trip. A little confusing on entry and egress when arriving by Uber. No big deal. Clean rooms. Quick front desk. The little market is nice.

Valet parking was required at $40/night. No late check out allowed. The property was difficult to get to as it is right off of a very busy street. This was the sketchiest property that I have stayed at during my week in New York. Shower floor was so slimy that I had to add a towel on the floor for safety.

Safe, clean, quiet, friendly staff and service. Good costumer service. What I did not like is the surrounding is dark and don’t feel safe to walk around the area

Went for a quick overnight, and it was perfect! Hotel is literally right outside of the Holland Tunnel, so if you are staying in NYC, you are good to go. Super clean, quiet, and decent breakfast included in the stay. I recommend!

Great spot if you do not want to drive into NYC and close to Newport Path station. Only 2 stops away from the WTC.

It’s in a transitional area but is beautifully maintained, convenient and well run.

The consierge staff were very good and helpful. Although the food was free, it was redundant. Would have liked for at least some change in the food. We stopped eating breakfast at the hotel because of repetition.

The free breakfast was ok. The coffee was good. The food was just ok. The room was clean and comfortable. We were happy with it. Overall it was a good experience. The staff at the front desk and the house keepers made the stay great.

Nice big room. Could use a little sprucing up and the odd thing fixed here and there. For example none of the USB sockets in the room worked which was a little annoying. Big shout out to the valet parking those guys were fantastic and made me feel very happy leaving my car overnight with them!

My biggest gripe is the cost of parking. I take issue both with Expedia who incorrectly displayed cost on website and with the hotel for raising there parking fees to $40 which I think is high. Plus I felt obligated to tip every single time (my fault) so parking ended up costing us $50+ a day. I normally stay at a near by hotel that charged $18/parking. It was booked so I tried this new hotel thinking that the breakfast cost will offset the extra parking cost but I could have just went to breakfast and got a proper meal. With that said, breakfast is ok for non picky or dietary needs individuals. Staff was great. Parking attendants were friendly and helpful however once they forgot to give us our keys back and we didn’t discover that until we were at the plaza near by (thank god). We had to walk back to the hotel to get our key. Tip: bring an extra set of keys and make sure you get your key back from the attendant. Hotel was clean and nice. Rooms was spacious and renovated. Beds were comfy. Near by Asian restaurant and Popeyes. Grocery store and target also in walking distance. A few other stores. Lots of gas stations. TD Bank. Location is likely why most are looking to stay here. It is perfect. Very close to the holland tunnel. The holland tunnel is chaos and someone hit us when merging from several lanes into two lanes. Heavily policed by tunnel. Not for timid drivers but that goes for all of New York. The area looks old but we didn’t feel unsafe. Overall I would stay again

We arrived early and Fatou worked her magic to get us into an available room early so we could venture into NYC after a long drive from Cincinnati. We loved staying here, as it was a quick 15 minute walk from the Path train to NYC and we were able to utilize valet parking. Could not recommend enough!

We stayed here as a family of 5 on our recent trip to NYC. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Our room was spacious. The breakfast in the morning was nice and helpful. The PATH station is about a 10 minute walk. The area around the hotel (the walk to the PATH) is definitely urban and not the cleanest but we felt safe. The staff takes pride in the hotel and it is clean. Overall a nice stay and we would recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel is in a questionable area, but there is a private garage. The lobby was messy, but the room was clean.

Some front desk attendants did not display a welcoming/customer service like attitude. They clearly did not enjoy their job

Staff was wonderful. Property was clean. Stayed with our three kids and found the 15min walk to the PATH to get into the city very convenient. Target and other shops/mall nearby. Valet parking was quick and accessible. Would definitely stay there again.

It was great experience, we stayed for 3 nights, although we lwft a day ealry it had nothing to do with the hotel, the beds were new and extremely comfortable. The hotel was very accommodating to our needa and breakfast was great. Its a great location to the path trains into the city. Great store near by as well with in walking distance such as Target just a blocl away. Definitely will be our go to hotel when we return. Stayed with husband and 4 kids.

It's near the holland tunnel and so adjacent to a busy road. Other than that, it's a great hotel - clean, comfy beds, and great staff! It's a great launching off point for exploring Jersey and NYC

The front desk night worker was extremely rude. Will never stay here again. The room was suppose to be a city view and i was so dissapointed. It was the view of a gas station and uhaul place. Also - be prepared there was a 150 room charge hold! Thats after you pay for the room and parking. Thats insane! 1/10! I will say the morning staff was much nicer and apologized for the behavior of the night staff.

People at the front desk make you feel like they are being forced to work, there is no hospitality except the valet parking guys who are very curtious and helpful, they don’t have essential l was told they are out of toothpaste like ridiculous I will never come back to stay at this property.

The front desk staff at check in was great, but during checkout, even after requesting and receiving a late check out time (just a measly extra half hour), the maid service knocked on my door at 10:45 calling "check out" and then again at 10:55. I told them both times I had a late check out they told me to call the front desk, even though I obviously had. Staff needs to communicate better. I would have gotten out quicker if they hadn't kept interrupting me this way. SMH

Location entrance was very hard to find, with no signage, and complicated to get back to once you missed it... which you are sure to do.

The location is about 15-20mins walk to the Newport PATH train system for quick access to Manhattan in 2 stops. The area is safe to walk even in the evening. There are lots of good food choices around the PATH station area. and there is Target in walkable distance for snack and food. The facility is pretty new; however there seem to be a lack of cleaning around the public area. the hallway of my floor definitely had not been vacuumed nor clean for a while as there are lots of dirts and garbage on the carpets. The flooring of the room also is not fully cleaned. The room is in very good size for my family of 5 yet the desk lamp was not working however everything else was fine. I would consider to stay in this hotel again.
