This was by far the best hotel I have stayed at in New Jersey. The hotel was in a wonderful area and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room had a balcony and they were much bigger than a typical standard room. Will be booking at this location again if I am in the area.

Unfortunately upon arrival in the lobby a mouse ran by my husband and I. We felt uneasy about staying! Check in explained it occasionally happens as the hotel is located next to path trains. We decided to continue with our plans and the room was clean so we stayed and all was fine.

We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Jersey City Newport. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. A mall with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away, and the Newport PATH station is literally next door, which makes it incredibly easy and fast to reach Manhattan in just a few minutes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout my stay, and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The service was excellent and truly met all my expectations. I also loved the Newport waterfront, only steps from the hotel, with its beautifully designed boardwalk and stunning views of the Manhattan skyline in the evening, perfect for peaceful walks along the Hudson River. I highly recommend this hotel, and for my next trip to the area I will definitely choose the same place again

Very friendly staff. Especially room cleaning service by Monica. Made my family feel at home at the hotel. Nice pool. Gym is too small. Ok only for 2. My home gym is bigger.

This hotel room was a nice size, and we love having the sofa bed for extra sleeping space. It’s super convenient to be right next door to the path train too!

Had a great experience! This was our second time staying here. (Last time was 7 years ago) We loved the location, the beds were super comfortable, room was clean, no wait for elevators, and even let us check in 4 hours early! Honestly nothing to dislike

It would be nice to have coffee available first thing in the morning. We had get coffee from outside the hotel and bring it back to our room and I did not see any information on how to connect to the hotel WIFI.

This hotel is right next to a PATH train station - very convenient to travel to Manhattan. And much cheaper than staying in Manhattan. Hotel was nice. Our bathroom could have used a little updating - some rust in the bathtub and sink, but clean.

It was very clean. Great location. Nice staff. Good amenities. I like that there was a restaurant and bar there. Cozy feel. I also was content with the quality of the toiletries given. As well as shampoo, conditioner, etc The mattress wasnt too comfortable and I wasnt too clear on the breakfast.. was hoping for a free breakfast but had to pay for that as well as paying for coffee in the lobby. Most hotels provide coffee in the lobby. The pool i believe was supposed ro be heated and it was pretty cold. Id still go back though

The morning after I returned home, I unpacked and realized I had left two rings behind. I am confident they were either on the bathroom counter or near the television area in the room. I promptly called the hotel and eventually spoke with someone in housekeeping. I was told that nothing had been turned in to lost and found and that any items would have been reported. While I want to believe in the honesty and integrity of staff, what was most frustrating was the lack of follow-up or concern. There was no indication that anyone would check with the housekeeping team more thoroughly or make any effort beyond a quick dismissal. Losing something of value is upsetting enough, but feeling unheard and brushed off made the situation worse. I hope the hotel can improve its process for handling lost items and show more empathy toward guests in similar situations.

Staff were so polite and nice. My room was so nice and clean and spacious. Check in and check out were such an easy process too. I would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay

This hotel was at a great location! Next to PATH and great views of NYC. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Older architecture and space so there is some visible wear and tear.

The check-in process was smooth and great. We arrived at 1am because our flight kept getting delayed and we were staying there for one night so they granted us a very late check out so we were very happy. They also allowed us to leave our luggage in reception and enjoy the pool while we waited for our next flight, which departed at 8pm. It's right in front of a mall so we got to eat and kill some time there as well. We also walked around and it felt like a nice, safe neighboorhood. Would DEF stay again! There was a wedding that weekend, so there were a lot of noisy guests and our next-door neighbors came in at 3am and talked so loudly we could hear everything through the connecting door! I called reception and they sent someone up and after around 45mn the neighbours left but before that I could still hear them and couldn't sleep.

The team at the reseption was very helpful. The restaurant closes at 10 am. It could serve breakfast after 10 am, too.

It’s a very nice and clean property in Jersey City. It’s literally right next to the Path train so it is easy to get to and from NYC. We stayed here as a family of 5, because they offer the double queen rooms with a sofa bed. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day, and we were even able to check in early since there was a room ready. Staff was nice and helpful. They even let us store our bags behind the front desk after checkout since our flight was later in the evening. I do wish that the gym had more equipment for weightlifting. It would be nice for a breakfast option included with the stay. Sofa bed was not the most comfortable even for normal sofa bed standards

Sorry but very disappointed.. feels like I am some motel and not Marriott standered hotel. Staff is very rude.. parking for over night is $30 and if you like to take car out $6 additional? Where is the customer care went? No happy at all and I will not recommend my family and friends. Sorry Metro access and neighborhood OnLy.

Super noisy connecting rooms. Staff does not care. I requested them to enforce quiet hours at 1:30 AM or give me a different room. They told me it's a hotel and refused to do anything about the noise. Not worth the money. Going to Westin next time.

It's really $36 not $30. the staff did not honor the price on their website when I showed them what it said.

Our family had fun in the pool and hot tub. It was a perfect location, right by the PATH train, making it easy to get into the city. The only negative was the our mattress dipped in the middle, making it a little hard to sleep. Everything else was great.

I did not eat breakfast. My coffee maker did not work, but was replaced the next day. Housekeeping did not remove some trash from the room, left 3 decaf coffees, but only 1 regular, and did not replace the body lotion in the bathroom. Location was great for the Path to NYC and room was very beautiful.

Location was great and parking was convenient. Nice area close to the Hudson river. Easy access to PATH train that gets you in NYC in 10 mins. Alot of food options near by as well. A good shopping mall next to it. We felt safe walking to and from the hotel. Will stay here again. The rooms were okay and the TV could have been bigger, but the location was the best.

Old and dirty rooms. Time for an upgrade and remodelling of the rooms lobby furniture which is split cracked and also dirty. Perhaps one of the worst Marriott Courtyards I have stayed at Globally.

I liked the location next to the Path train. The furnishing in the room was of high caliber and adequate outlets. I did not like the coffee station - need more sugar and creamer in the kit and add brown sugar. I was told my room was a partial view but had the view of the parking garage.

I grew up in Jersey City love it. This hotel is literally walking distance to the path, the mall and restaurants. Best part is the waterfront. I walk it every time I stay here.

One elevator was broken when we were staying. Great location, room was a little small and AC was loud at night. Otherwise good place for a family stay

Everything was great. The only minor inconvenience was that only one elevator worked and there was no comfortable way to go from the lobby through the stairs, so we had to wait sometimes for 5 minutes to go up/down.

I had an amazing time. The staff was amazing and so was the housekeeping. The area was very quiet.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was nice and quiet accessible to everything that you could need, including the subway. My only complaint is we did not have enough towels or face cloths and I do wish there was at least a light breakfast included. I did find the price high especially when you had to pay for your own parking and it did not provide a breakfast.

The hotel is at good location, it’s near a train and ferry terminal good for walking. The only downside was the bar not having different types of flavored alcohol drinks to choose from.

The property is in an area near shopping and transportation.

On site dining is ludicrously overpriced: tiny portions of mediocre food and coffee at luxury prices. Just order food from an app if you stay here; there is a convenient designated table where delivery drivers drop off your food. Parking is expensive. Front desk staff is not unfriendly per se but also not very attentive or helpful.

Steps from Path station made it so easy to get here. Room was ready when I arrived and checkin was smooth. The room is qite comfortable.

The guest services were very friendly and helpful. The room was a. Ice size but wasn’t cleaned well there was lots of dust on the booths of the chairs and ledges. When staying in a room booked for 3 guests the extra towels and bedding should be ready, not needing to request. The staff everyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. The coffee and bar in lobby was closed on Saturdays to early it needs to be open all day. Overall convenient stay but for the price we could stay at the Westin a block down

Check in left a bad taste in my mouth as we were left waiting while the lady finished up an email, then the phone rang and she handled that before going back to her email, eventually only to be told we were an hour early for check in and our room wasn’t ready. No problem, we were in fact an hour early so we went and explored and returned several hours later. When we opened the door to our room we were hit with an overwhelming smell of body odour and our room had crumbs all over the table and part of the carpet (area around the table). We went back down to reception and were offered another room, our second room was clean and did not smell but the tone from reception was as though we were the problem. The gym was small but clean and had everything one needed for a little cardio and some free weights. The pool was nice, appeared much larger in the pictures but it was sufficient. The hot tub was great until the chemicals hit you, this took about 1minute. They were so strong my eyes were burning and began to water. My wife and daughter had to get out after a few minutes and I wasn’t far behind them. The mall across the street was super convenient and parking is attached to the hotel which was also convenient. If we return to nyc/jersey city we will try another hotel, overall I’d give this place a 3/5 rounding up,

This is an awesome place because it’s right next to path and super walkable to scenic views of NYC. It’s clean, and convenient. It’s not cheap and mostly especially when you add parking per day if you want to go in and out. Still worth it because of the location and proximity to everything.

Hotel was very conveniently located across the Metro Center Mall, Metro Station

Right next to the Path station. Easy ride to Manhattan. Close to shopping center and restaurants.

The bathroom sink was externally located; wall stains were inadequately concealed; dampness and leaks were not properly addressed. Housekeeping staff declined to clean the sofa bed, directing me to their manager. Furthermore, bottled water was not replenished after the first day.

Easy check in, nice clean room, tv worked , friendly staff and easy check out . Would stay there again

The room was large and well-appointed. The front desk staff was very friendly. Being located immediately adjacent to a PATH station made it easy to access Manhattan. We would definitely stay at this facility again.

The hotel was clean and coveniently located to a PATH station. This allowed easy access to NYC. The hotel only offered a Starbucks for dining but there were significant dining options in the area.

Right next to the path train which goes direct to World trade centre area and into New York. Staff were brilliant. Reasonable parking costs from the hotel.

Excellent location right next to the Newport station. Nice staff and decent facilities. The room wasn’t very clean though, hairs in the back of the toilet, dust on the bathroom floor.

Nice hotel for short stay

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting NYC. The location was perfect as it was located right next to the Path train into the city. The room was perfect for our family of 5 and it was very clean. The facilities were well maintained and lovely. My only complaint was the lack of guest parking. I had to pay an additional $130 to park my vehicle once I arrived. It would be nice if we have to use the neighbouring parking garage if there was a discounted rate for validating that you stayed at the hotel.

It was close to everything. Nice area for shopping and eating out.

Our experience was very good. Stayed here for New York visit. Newport mall and path is very close to shop and travel to nyc.

Everything was in excellent condition, very clean and well organized

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect litterally just outside newport PATH station and 10 minutes to WTC or 33rd street. Would 100 percent recomend.
