I was charged an additional 30 dollars for who the hell knows. I wont go back

This property is very clean and well maintained. The staff was super helpful with questions. The restaurant on site was very yummy. Highly recommend.

Water pressure goes in and out the later you shower. The light was flickering anytime it was on. We didn’t use the light because it was so strong. Our room keys were shut off mid stay and we had to go fix it. Little things that were annoying and an inconvenience . Location to the beach is awesome! Rooms are spacious. Rooms are clean. Staff was nice.

The location can’t be beat - right on the ocean, right on the bike path, two restaurants on either side so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want to. We have stayed here several times, however on this trip we noticed how rundown the property is looking. Lots of stains, chips, and scuffs on the walls, lots of rust on steps and railings, shower looking old and dingy, dirty carpeting (the water in the floor of the shower would turn black when you stepped in if you had been barefoot in the bedroom). The whole place needs a refresh.

We loved the location of the room facing the ocean with a door leading out to patio and view. There is a bike path the runs around the island and bicycles where available to enjoy. We will definitely stay here again. Despite some issues, we still enjoyed our stay overall. The back door was extremely difficult to open and lock, and the security chain on the door was broken, which was disappointing. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner. The bikes could also use some TLC — the first bike had no brakes, and the baskets were rusty and falling apart; however, they did ride nicely once in use. The air conditioning was also not very effective. While there were definitely areas that need improvement, we still had an enjoyable stay.

Found 5 bugs in my room. There were hairs in the bathroom that were not mine. They have an outside bar but would not open the windows so you could sit there. I had to go off site for dinner and drinks with my dog and that was not the plan at all, Island is beautiful but this hotel is not, Would not stay here again. I expect more from holiday inn.

The hotel had a bit of an old-school vibe, and it showed in the rooms. There were musty smells, some outlets that didn’t work, a TV remote that was broken, and shower fixtures that could use some love. But on the bright side, the property itself looked really nice and had plenty of amenities. For the price, though, I was a bit let down by the room.

Great ocean view room but room above must have been rented to elephants who stayed up all night stomping around. Shower water pressure was awful and sink did not drain. Garbage was strewn all over in the AM but it was a holiday weekend. Also there is a surprise $30 a night resort fee that was charged separately when checking out that was no included in the Expedia charge. We've stayed here before and had a wonderful time but this room was not wonderful and did not get charged a daily resort fee on top of the other charges last time. We love Jekyll though!

Towels at the pool-site would be helpful; instead we needed to take them from our room. Having chairs for the beach would be nice for those of us who have a rather difficult time getting up off the sand. Food at the "24" restaurant is quite good but the service is just so-so. Still, a very good hotel in a beautiful place!

Needs TLC. Front desk didn't give us the breakfast vouchers - we had to go back and ask for them. Breakfast buffet doesn't have the best choices. Roach on ceiling one morning. Rust on the bathtub. Need comfort height toilets in bathrooms. Ladies who cleaned the rooms were fantastic!!!! Only a few hangers in the closet. Beds are comfortable and pillow choices are great. Easy access to beach. Pool with hot tub is nice. Lots of easy walking paths. Rooms are large and very spacious.

Our family suite was beachfront, easy access with the grandchildren and they loved the pool too!

We loved walking out the back door and relaxing on the patio overlooking the grounds and ocean. Large wicker two-person lounge chairs made it the perfect spot to unwind while taking in the grassy area and beautiful ocean views. It was so peaceful and zen! Back door to patio was difficult to open.

Beach and location for sure. It was easy to get to and check in. The balcony was simple, but really nice. Water pressure was very poor. Wifi was very slow, even for stuff like email. One of the beds had a really significant sag.

I liked that it was right on the beach with everything we needed right there! Th grounds were beautiful and well maintained and everything was easy to locate. The pool, room and everything was really clean! I loved seeing all the dogs! It's hard finding something pet friendly, clean, and right on the beach but this checked all the boxes! 10/10 The only thing I didnt like was the door stopper to prevent the door being opened fully was stripped a little but everything else was top notch and very secure

Loved being able to wake up and look out and see ocean. Very convenient to everything. Coastal Grill food was very good and staff excellent. Bartender Johnette was a pleasure to be around. Needed more ice machines. Long walk to get ice.

The only issue we had was we had no water pressure in our room. We have a small child that takes baths and it took almost 20 min to fill half way with barely hot water. Other than that our sat was amazing

I didn’t see any organized activities anywhere .. there is a sizable space outside and they had a movie that was put up on Saturday night but I don’t see justification for that to get $30 by every room that stays there. Additionally, their pool was broke and their TV did not work in the fitness room. The breakfast was very good but of course you had to pay for it

I was informed when I arrived, the room I had paid extra money for was not on the first floor. Even though that was my only request and I was under the impression after booking the room that it was on the first floor. We got placed in a first floor room that was way smaller and uncomfortable so we could be on the first floor. I would like to know how I can get a partial refund through booking.com

Free bikes to use on wonderful biking paths or even the beach. Our king suite, with a large bedroom and separate living room/kitchenette combo, was so spacious and well appointed, and now the most important part - a nice balcony with a direct ocean view, perfect for enjoying our morning coffee and then also, for relaxing at night, listening to the sound of the waves. All in all, a perfect vacation spot, and we will certainly come back. The room and the whole palce were spotless. The only thing, the shower curtain should be either washed or changed - had some staining on it but that was a truly minor detail.

Took shuttle to dinner, staff said call front desk to pick us up when ready to come back. Called about 10 times for over an hour and front desk never answered phone. There were no Ubers. We were stranded. Had to pay a local service $25 to get us a few miles back to hotel. Pool was out of order and that was not disclosed on check-in and they still charged full resort fee until we complained. Pubic hair in the shower and room smelled like wet dog.

Location was right on the beach although our room faced the parking lot/street. A restaurant was right next to the hotel. Quality of property wasn’t up to par. The lobby was hot. I’m not sure if the a/c was working. The pool was closed due to resurfacing. We weren’t informed of this until we arrived. Upon check in I had to ask about breakfast as I had paid for it but tickets weren’t provided. The room layout was odd. The closet was very small/tight. Shower had mold at bottom of glass. Overall landscape needs work. The grass is well groomed. First morning breakfast was told the dishwasher had broken the night before.

The staff was super friendly and the room, while older was clean. The location was absolutely beautiful!!

The is no furniture in the room. Only one ice machine in the entire complex. Coffee maker didn't work. Very little light in room unless the curtains are open.

The beach was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The game room was a big hit with the kids, keeping them entertained. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around. The hotel also offers complimentary bicycles for the first two hours, which was a fun experience. The on-site restaurant, 24 Coastal Grill, serves a delicious breakfast and dinner.

No blow dryer in room

Location was excellent for beach and view! We were told we would get a beachfront view, but we were on the corner and had an obscured view. The rooms were mediocre. We were in room 110 and when we sat outside the to sit and just enjoy the sound of the waves and look out towards the ocean with the beautiful view, there was a dog that continuously barked on the second floor as well as our view of the trash from the restaurant adjacent to the pool, in the back stacked, empty boxes and trash, not pretty😕 I also suggest you trash all of your bicycles. They are the worst bicycles we have ever used anywhere. They are old broken, and the seats don’t even adjust.

Room had trash not emptied and no Television, It didnt work for the entire stay. Very disappointing for the amount of money i spent on room. Television working!!!!!

On a positive note, the staff was friendly and they do offer free bike rental for 2hrs each day. I expected a better experience from a property marketed as a “resort” so I would not recommend this property to others nor do I plan to stay here for any future trips.

We have stayed here years ago and thought we would revisit. The rooms are a little outdated and I was disappointed with a couple items. The pans for cooking were disguising. I think I would die if I ate from it. There was electrical tape used as a rack holder for the refrigerator. There was an artificial nail on the floor. The room towels were fresh and clean. The bed sheets were nice. I would not return.

When arrived room smelled a little musty. Beds very comfortable. Free coffee vouchers were nice and great view of ocean from shop. Restaurant on site was okay, slow service, breakfast good but not great, coffee lukewarm as was breakfast buffet. At lunch, fish tacos and sweet potato fries were good.

Hotel is dated. Room had an odor. Tv didn’t work. Requested assistance from front desk who said they would send maintenance but never did. Front desk staff were unfriendly and impolite. Internet was slow. Water system ran all night.

The restaurant was not staffed to handle the people staying at the hotel Long lines not enough food on breakfast bar and charged $20/person

The picture of the room and view we were booking on your website was NOT the room or view we received when we got to the hotel. The hotel blamed hotels.com for the pictures but hotels.com said the hotel provides the pictures. It’s very misleading and false advertising to bait people then switch it upon arrival. They moved our room the second night and there was a dirty Red Bull can on the nightstand when we checked in and the room was musty and smelled like wet dog.

First our tv didnt work then they fixed, then the clock crapped out, and k cup coffee pot didnt work. The ocean view was the best-selling point for this room. All said, other than those couple negative problems our stay was good.

Some of the front staff were very rude and not helpful at all. The room was clean, but trash bags were not placed in garbage cans and the safe beeped non-stop. The extra cost buffet was average. I would not spend money on that again. The power was off and on, which was not in their control, but the front desk staff could have been more forthcoming with information. Also, they did not allow anyone early check-ins at all. I don’t understand why they can’t get any rooms ready before 4.

While it’s an older property it’s in pretty good condition. The rooms are large and the grounds are nice. The only issue I had was the hot tub was green and the breakfast was not free.

Nice quiet location and comfortable. Great views and easy access to beach. Need more pet friendly rooms on ground with a full kitchenette. Hard to prepare dog dishes and wash in bathroom . Also supply of paper towels It was hard to get bottle water, do not like drinking out of bathroom spigot.

Awesome, chill location right next to dining and a quick walk down to the beach. Our room was large, comfortable, and clean. The perfect location away from the crowds for a rest and recharge.

I would rather it be upfront/one price. 2) the $20 breakfast buffet was really awful 3) the front desk wasn't always manned. Regardless of the negatives, I would highly recommend.

The amenities are wonderful! The beach and an Oceanside walking path are beautiful. The on-site restaurant served a delicious dinner. We had the redfish which was seasoned really well and sweet and sour chicken which was tasty. The breakfast buffet was okay with better than continental choices.

The room had a mold/mildow type smell and looked old/aged. The beach view was nice for the hotel's location. The buffet breakfast was not great coffee was not hot and food seemed to be not so fresh. I would not pay 19.00 if not staying there since it was complimentary I guess I had to make due. I would redo the rooms and revitalize that property.

The hotel is a bit old and showing its wear, but the location is magical. Windswept ocean, moonlit night and not the usual over developed shoreline of beaches in Florida where I am from. There was hardly anyone staying at the hotel and the quiet was very nice. Good coffee spot over the lobby and decent but over priced breakfast buffet. I wish the windows could be opened or the door propped to let in the beach breeze, but the construction must be made for storms the coast must get from time to time.

This place was amazing. Our “standard” room was anything but. It was huge. Tons of space. Beds and pillows were comfy. The pool was clean and comfortable. The whole property was amazing.

Typically, I really like this property. I've stayed here before with my family and we typically rent 2 or more rooms. We love the convenience of it being next to the beach and the accommodations are great. Unfortunately, I have 2 complaints. The guy at the front desk had a terrible attitude. All other staff was great but him. Second complaint, Expedia boosts about advising the total cost of the room, however, the hotel charged me an additional $100 per room to cover resort fees. I was disappointed find out the hotel said they are not paid enough from Expedia to cover all their costs.

All other staff was great but him. Second complaint, Expedia boosts about advising the total cost of the room, however, the hotel charged me an additional $100 per room to cover resort fees. I was disappointed find out the hotel said they are not paid enough from Expedia to cover all their costs.

We went at 8 pm for dinner as they said restaurant closes at 9 pm and they had a waiting list and weren't accepting more customers. For breakfast they suggested go early ortherswise this could happen. The beach is great, the location is quiet and kid friendly. Breakfast was very good. Overall, great experience.

Jekyll Island is beautiful. The property is beautiful. The rooms have such lovely views, and the pool is nice... and of course the ocean is lovely, if muddy and warm, and the beach a quiet joy. The on-site restaurant is solid, and local restaurant options are good. I've been visiting this hotel since it was moved up from the other site on the island, which is near twenty years ago now. I've visited in winter, spring, and summer. I enjoy the island and also the quick drive over to Brunswick and St. Simon. This place is just great...

The two negative things... The order window to the restaurant was closed with a note to go inside. Other hotels we have stayed at in the area provided a nice order window that you could access to purchase food/drinks from outside and didn't make you put shoes back on to go inside. We did not purchase anything from that restaurant as a result. The "Free Coffee" sounded amazing until we found that the 3rd Floor had zero AC in the coffee shop area and the barista did not have a cooler or any means to provide anything beyond your basic gas station coffee options. That was a bigger let down for my wife and children and they had to make trips to the Starbucks on the island as part of the Westin as a result. Enjoying some food/drinks by the pool and some decent coffee on the 3rd floor overlooking the beach would have been great. Thanks!

We had a great stay. We’ve been here before and love the relaxed vibe. Last year the restaurant wasn’t open yet, and what a great addition to the property! All of the staff at the restaurant were kind and accommodating. We are already planning our return for this peaceful little area again.

I had a reservation for a king ADA mobility accessible room what I got was a queen bed and a room for hearing impaired. I mentioned this upon check-in and the front desk person didn’t seem to care and said he didn’t have any other rooms available. I mentioned that I needed a bathroom with the bars and got a bathroom with just one bar next to the shower. Then I used the shower and water just shot out of the handle. I thought that water must be going into the wall since it was just pouring out in all directions. When I get out and look at the outside wall of the bathroom it was soaked and the rug was wet. Who know if that room also had mold. I did go back to the front desk and complained to Valerie the assistant manager. Luckily we were only there one night as it was just a pit stop for us. It was not enjoyable. The back access is amazing and they have plenty of parking. There was an odd smell in the morning which may be due to a nearby paper mill. We ended up getting a refund for the room, but it’s really disappointing that a person with disabilities has to go through this. It’s shameful that there was such a lack of empathy from the front desk staff upon check-in. We had reserved the right room. You shouldn’t be allowed to change an ADA room reservation.

The view was wonderful and everything was great but we had issues with the ac in our room which made it bad because of how hot it was outside. The maintenance guys did come several times but nothing they did fixed it. They did take some money off my bill though. I loved the size of the room and it was right on the beach. Everything else was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again! The staff was very polite and helped as much as they could!

Cons: Our AC and fridge did not work on the first day. The room was hot and we were told it was motion censored so if it did not feel movement for more than 30 mins it would turn off. It was a hot first night but thankfully it was fixed by the second. Our fridge was replaced the same night, not great but still better than none at all. The shower makes a very loud noise while running, and the bathroom and room are not the cleanest. It is a very run down hotel and needs a major renovation. They played the same movie 2 nights in a row. The restaurant on site was good, but the service was terrible. Only got refills on 1 drink all night, the wrong food was brought out and it took 20 mins to get our dessert. Ice machine is only on the second floor above lobby. No where else. The sheets did not get changed/beds were not made during our 4 night stay. 3 outlets did not work in the room. Walls are very thin and we could hear our upstairs neighbors stomping around. Overall, I would give my stay a 5/10.

Right on the beach. Rooms freshened daily. Had an issue with a continous drilling sound (but no drilling taking place). Called front desk and they moved me for a peaceful nights rest.

During my 4-day stay, housekeeping was advertised as daily but never came. After two days, I requested towels, sheets, and trash removal. They finally came the next day, made one bed, didn’t touch the other, left no towels, and ignored the trash. I went to the desk and asked for clean sheets to change them myself. The man in uniform ignored me. A woman eventually came out, told me “no” outright, then begrudgingly handed over sheets—blood-stained ones. The pool was cloudy and clearly uncleaned. The lobby is nice and the location is great, but if I’m paying $300+ per night, I expect basic service and cleanliness. We visit Jekyll 1–2 times a year, but I won’t be staying at this Holiday Inn again.

Plenty to do on the property if you want to just park your car for a couple days. The pool, beach and restaurant are just steps away.

Sheets dirty, not enough towels for four guests. The island itself is beautiful. Foe what we were charged. Im jot sure we would ever return. Well atleast to this place. There's no clear number to connect with the staff. They were nice we just expected more. Just a few pictures. These really dont show the true nature. Had roaches. Spider webs all throughout the room. For a resort. The cleaning was just bad!

Could have been cleaner. Found lots of places that were not wiped down. Found a jar of food under the corner of the bed. During our stay, which was not very long they had to fix toilet and the bathtub.

Stay was really good. Easy check in and check out process. Staff was very friendly at front desk. The only thing that was inconvenient was the only ice maker & washing machine/dryer was on the floor above the lobby, so you had to walk a food ways just to get ice and hopes that the washing machine was available. Other than that, it was really good. I would stay here again.

Had the best time at this beautiful resort. Lived that you could easily walk to pool and beach. The beach area was amazing! Can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was so friendly and went out of the way to make your stay special. The restaurant was so good that we ended up eating all our meals there. The staff there was great and the chefs came out and interacted! We will definitely be back!!

Some of the front desk staff were less than friendly. It felt like helping us was inconvenient. We asked about the shuttle when we checked in. We were told there were no staff to drive it. The shuttle was one of the factors in deciding in this hotel. Also when we checked in we were told we missed out on amenities by not booking direct. Basically the only breakfast option was a full buffet. Consider a continental option. Our room was visibly clean but we found a girls swimsuit from a prior guest. The fridge and coffee maker were nice. It seemed many of the guests come annually. We enjoyed borrowing bikes for a ride around part of the island. Tours of the island depart from this location so that was convenient. We needed additional towels si we called the front desk. It rang several times before being answered. We were told to please hold then after 4 minutes. We were disconnected. We tried two more times being disconnected each time. We ended up going down and getting the towels. We came by another time with a question and couldn’t find the front desk staff. Another guest found them chatting with a coworker down the hall. This was the same case when we came to check out on another day. The pool was nice and well maintained. The beach area is very small. The bike paths are great, We may or may not stay again.

The hotel grounds were well kept and absolutely beautiful. Everything was super clean and the staff all friendly. We had an amazing view of the ocean from our second story balcony. We will definitely visit again!

At $419. Plus taxes a night, i was disgusted to have stains on all the furniture and the walls patched here and their.We left due to conditon of room.The coffe table was all scratched up like cats had lived there.This was not a housekeeping issue ..the room needs help.The outside and pool are lovely.

Really nice location at hotel. Having onsite coffee and laundry was really helpful. I wish the rooms came with a microwave as standard. Overall it was a great stay.

We loved the Hotel manger she and her employees were over the 5 star rating with customer service, the restaurant 24 was excellent every morning we had Amy and Jenn and they were amazing. We will be back every year now and hopefully will always have room with a view

The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beach itself was just steps away—clean, not overly crowded, and perfect for relaxing or taking a morning walk. There were also great restaurants within walking distance, which made everything super convenient. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore the coast, this place has it all. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This hotel needs updated and renovated. We did not receive any maid service for the entire time we were there. The bathtub is rusted and has seen better days, the shower head looks like it might fall off. We had no soap. Restaurant is in a new separate building but it has very limited options for food. Pool is small. Location is great, but I wouldn’t consider this a resort by any means. Also we never had parking, they do not enforce parking for guests only so many people park in the limited spots so that they can get access to the beach. We had to park far away and that sucked.

We ended up not staying here after checking in and seeing the rooms. This is listed as a “resort” but is actually an old motel that’s been refreshed with a coat of paint. The first room they assigned us stunk of dog, the second was better but still smelled off, like dirty damp carpet. The bathtub/shower in both were in desperate need of replacement. It’s just overall very run down and should not be labeled as a resort and definitely overpriced for what it is. The plus side to the whole situation is they did refund us without any hassle. I would say skip this place, there are better places on the island.

There was a smell in the room

Friendly front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. Rooms are pricey but comparable to others on the island especially during peak/summer season. Beach view and quick access (just a quick walk outside of your hotel room). I love that this hotel is pet friendly, makes travelling a breeze!

Maid did not make up room after first night. Front desk attendant was not the kind of person who should greet the public

This hotel is horrible, front dest Kim was very unfriendly, could bearly get any information about the place from her. Room was dirty, and old. I book a beach view room and half of our view was the trash cans. Very disappointed with this place, is not kept, very old. Will never come back. Will try to find a different hotel or retal property.

It’s in a beautiful place and the grounds are really well maintained. The parking wasn’t easy for large vehicles and the light colored furniture was a bit stained. The front vents of the ac were dirty. BUT the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. I would stay there again.

Dated motel, as I would not call this a resort to begin with. Besides the restaurant that is in a new building everything is old.

The view was awesome. The Amenities were great. James the waiter at the restaurant was amazing. The managers were also great. The food incredible. The drinks incredible.

Our stay was great. Our room was large but it’s an older resort. Room smelled musty on arrival not sure if it was a dog friendly room. Location is wonderful away from the crowd in the village area- beach was amazing and somewhat secluded!! Ocean view seemed like ocean front - would stay again and request the same building.

The Resort had good views of the ocean. The unit we were assigned to was evidently still in the process of reinnervation and clearly was not ready for rental. Staff was very pleasant.and helpful.

AWFUL Anniversary trip! We arrived to several work trucks in the parking lot, caution tape and several roofers on top of the hotel. We were not pre-informed of this when making reservations. For 2 days and an evening until 8pm it sounded as if we were in a small arms fire as roofers were directly above our room. When complaining to the front desk we were simply responded to with, It'll end soon, Sir. When asked when 'soon' was they responded with the same reply as all other hotel employee's as if coached with the same response. When asked to speak to someone who could tell us we were told she was the only one there. What? Have several photo's/video's & talked with other unhappy customers. Restaurant service and personel alot to be desired. Unorganized and unfriendly. Bartender was nice though.
