Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville Deerwood Park

I booked through Expedia about 2 weeks in advance ( May 25, 2026 ) our reservation were for June 9, 2026 - June 13, 2026. WHY would someone Not reach out and INFORM us of CONSTRUCTION happening at this particular site !!! Horrific. The staff members were nice and accommodating BUT THE NOISE NOISE NOISE. Machine noise starts early, elevator are BUSY. 2 elevators ( 1 marked for construction use ) and that particular elevator seem to be the ONLY one we could ever catch. Our last day there I was scold by a construction worker because I tried to enter "their" elevator. 😒 Scornful remarks: our newly renovated room had flickering lights, water that takes 10 minutes or so to warm up, fire sprinklers had missing ceiling rings. And the wall mounted toilet paper holder kept falling and swimming pool was out of order also. So you have to go next door to use the Marriott pool ( 2 creepy guys at that pool that morning and they must of had a party because the place needed cleaning )🙄 Bright Side : housekeeping staff were VERY FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING. ALSO a plus ; movies, restaurants are nearby. Walking distance. Stay away from the Mexican restaurant it's NOT worth your money.

All things considered this was a great stay. However the property is undergoing renovations therefore a lot of construction. The pool is under construction and not available but there was a contingency plan available with use of the pool on the property next door. The water was down when we arrived but our room wasn’t ready anyway so we went out for lunch, by the time we got back water was restored. It went out again the next day for several hours due to construction but in the middle of the day to early evening and we were not affected. Other than these minor inconveniences the stay was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to know about the construction when making reservations.

Nothing. Booking com never informed me that the hotel was under renovation and the pool was closed. No fitness center. When I booked with you under special request if I could get a roll in shower. The toilet was so low that at 4 in the morning I had to use the bathroom in the lobby. I have a prosthetic leg which makes things very difficult. One elevator was out of order. 2 cockroach on the floor alive in the dining area. I'm so disgusted. See above

Crooks. They called us the morning of our check-in while we were traveling to tell us they are undergoing major construction from morning to evening with water outages, long elevator delays, and loud construction. We were traveling for a wedding and needed to be able to clean up before the wedding. They said construction started February 16, but only notified us the day of Check-in, again, while we were traveling. I requested a refund and they told us to contact Expedia, but there was no option in Expedia as it was our Check-in day. Very convenient for Hampton Inn and Expedia. Very inconvenient for us.

This is our favorite hotel when we stay in Jacksonville to visit family. This facility is always clean and very accommodating.

The whole property is/was being renovated at the time of our stay. As such, The pool & patio area were closed, there was a lot of noise during working hours and the hallway by our room was quite dirty. The shower in our room was not put together right, so there was only a hand-held shower and it was covered in plaster dust. The breakfast was decent and the dining area was very nice, though one of the TVs was dying. Most of the staff was delightful while some seemed out of place in the hospitality industry. We didn't have any trouble parking and always felt safe. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance and others nearby. We wouldn't mind staying here again, but not until the construction is finished. Note: the pool under construction was disclosed before we booked, but not the greater construction project.

It was under construction and there was no mention of that on Hotels web site. It was very noisy and there was no hot water for the two day stay. The Hampton Inn didn’t do anything to make up for this inconvenience. My last Hampton Inn stay.

When we arrived we were notified that construction would be going on. That should have been on the listing. Due to the construction the pool and gym facilities were unavailable, however, you could get a 2-hour pass to the neighboring hotel. When we arrived at our hotel room there was a notice posted on the door stating the water would be shut off from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We were not notified at check-in about this situation. The bathroom floor was so sticky that my shoes were making noises when I lifted them. It seemed like a cleaning fluid issue. The rest of the room appeared to be clean. The staff was very personable. The breakfast provided was quite tasty and varied.

The room was clean. However, the bathroom light over the sink was not working. One of the lamps in the room was not working. There is not enough parking, probably due to the hotel being under construction, which decreases parking spaces.

Everything was good except one thing. The only issue we had was the restaurant next-door went late into the night and I had to put my box fan app on in order to drown out the music from the local restaurant nearby.

This is an older hotel that is currently undergoing renovations, so I’m expecting it to improve from its present condition. Despite that, the staff made a great impression—everyone was friendly and professional. A special thank you to Kristy, who went above and beyond to assist with our reservation and helped us get in touch with the right people regarding an issue we experienced at a previous Hilton location. I truly appreciated her effort and willingness to help.

Dont stay here. They dont have a pool and when I opened my room door I was welcomed by the smell of poop! There were some shorts in the closet which made me question if the room was even cleaned. Then i went to change rooms the reason was because the construction was effecting the plumbing. So why put people on that floor 🤔. Anyway I totally do not recommend. Was my first time staying at Hampton and it will be my last if I can help it

I had a good stay for the night that I was there. There was renovation going on, but it was not loud or in the way. There were several eating options in walking distance. The only complaint I had is when I went to take a shower, the soap was out.

We reserved 2 Queen beds, but when we arrived and got to our room there were 2 full sized beds. Very uncomfortable. Also there was no hot water the first night. Had to take a barely lukewarm shower! I did let the front desk know and all they said was to run the water for a while until the water got warmer. I ran it for 15 minutes and the temperature never changed. They put in a maint request, and when I asked about it the next day they said the water issue was fixed. It was not. Lukewarm water is what we had the remainder of our stay. Will most likely never stay here again, especially for the price. Only positive thing I can say is it was in a great location.

The checkout time is 12. Check-in time is 3. Our room wasn't ready till almost 5, because of the late checkout time. Several people were waiting for their rooms, too. Something needs to be done about that.

The hot breakfast was good and convenient. The location worked well for our plans. The front desk staff, especially Tamara were excellent. They didn't clean our rooms the first full day, so we had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels that night.

The room size was very big The free breakfast was not good. The hard boiled eggs were not cooked well. At first they had some type of egg with cheese that was horrible. The waffle station did not work. It was the worst breakfast ever.

The front desk team was outstanding. You can tell the Manager at the hotel picks great people and trains them accordingly. The hotel is a bit dated but it’s more so just the yellow look I think. Was super cleaned, the breakfast was great. All and all a fantastic experience and I stay in a ton of hotels.

I always stay at Hampton Inn when I'm in Jacksonville, and I am never disappointed. A comfortable room, an easy to work thermostat (an underrated benefit!) and a really convenient breakfast setup. They are always wonderful to my dog Gruff, too!

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Pool was closed due to Maintence. Gym is good enough. Breakfast closes at 10 am sharp. If you don’t have a car, there is nothing to do except for movie theater, restaurants and bars next to the property.

The parking was great. The stay was great. The locations was excellent due to being right down the street from my daughter whom we were visiting. But Elizabeth was the absolute greatest in the morning when dining for breakfast. But the hotel addressed it right away. Sadly my room smelled like peppermint the rest of my stay. I would haved loved too been offere a different room or at least a discount for my little friends (roaches) that shared my room.

A big thanks to Tamara at the front desk. She was very personable and attentive to our concerns and needs. She went the extra mile to make sure that no only me and my wife but the other guest were comfortable. Awesome customer service!! That is our place to stay when we visit Jacksonville! Thanks Tamara!! Our bathroom had a funny smell when we checked in. We notified the front desk and they offered to move us to another room. The smell would eventually dissipate.

Everything was nice & the staff was very friendly & made you feel welcomed. The shower was a handheld that couldn't be mounted properly, so we had to hold it in our hands & the refrigerator wasn't working.

Friendly staff. Pool being worked on so couldn’t use that but we enjoyed the outdoor sitting area by the fountain. Mostly clean. Nice, well-stocked breakfast. Good value for the price overall.

Location was perfect. Breakfast every morning was great. The staff was super friendly. The fire alarm went off at 1am Sunday morning and when I went to the front desk to see if it was a test or actual fire i was told everything was fine just an issue in the kitchen but the alarm continued to go off for another 5-10 minutes.

This Hampton Inn is an older hotel, you can see it in the room furniture, BUT, everything was EXCELLENT!! The room was clean, smelled clean, and amenities were great. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, 24 hour coffee was fresh everyday. Enjoyed our 3 day stay here.

My room’s A/C was noisy and my initial reserve room was not available and switch to another room. Front staff never offered water bottles even though I am Silver level Hilton Honors member. Staff seemed average not at a Hilton level I would expect. More training may be necessary.

we were upgraded as we stayed for a week. we very much appreciated that. breakfast choices were very good. only issue we had was that on the last 2 days for some unknown reason our room did not get serviced. our trash cans by 2nd day were overflowing and we needed fresh towels. we did report it. day one and two someone delivered fresh towels. but we had to ask by day 2 for someone to empty trash. room didnt get cleaned at all those 2 days! it was a shame as otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the staff were all beyond pleasant.

The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. I was able to upgrade our room to the suite for a very nominal charge and it was very nice! Nice and quiet and comfortable! Breakfast was very good as well! Only semi-negative was the water pressure in the shower, which wasn't bad but could have been better. Other than that, excellent experience!

Pool area needed umbrellas for sun and also a kid area Did not enjoy the oool as kids running and screaming very loud and parents not redirecting them to make good choices so all customers could enjoy. Bummed about no pool time.

This was our 3rd stay— great, central location: 5 minutes to our daughter, our Jacksonville church, easy access to highways, riverfront & beaches. Rooms always ready, good breakfast & pool was clean & nice temperature for April.

Very friendly staff and clean hotel. Many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Nice breakfast and coffee in the morning. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours.

This property was clean, convenient, in walking distance of a lot of places thst I'm familiar with! The staff was amazing! All of them were kind and helpful!!! Definitely would return!

The staff at this location is so friendly and inviting! Something you don’t find at a lot of chain hotels. Great job! The location of this site is perfect everything within a few miles.

This time around there was a glitch. I was hoping to get my room cleaned on Thanksgiving Day -- halfway through a short stay -- but I probably didn't leave soon enough. I certainly understand the flexibility needed on a holiday; just disappointed it means my room never got cleaned during a three-night stay. Minor setback in a typically excellent stay.

One fault of his location. Elevator was having bad issues. You got to visit all floors weather u we’re going up or down.

Our stay was great! Customer service was A1. Tamara (front desk) was amazing! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the shower head was falling out of the wall in the bathroom. We will definitely recommend staying there!

Find that this hotel is very convenient to EverBank stadium for the Jaguars games. I also like that this hotel is very popular for the visiting team's fan base. It adds to the excitement and enjoyment. Love the attitude and friendliness of all the staff members here.

This property is well located, very clean and quiet and serves one of the best hotel breakfasts that I've seen.

Of all the places we stayed. This was the best. The room was great. Comfortable, cozy and roomy. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and helpful. Being close to everything made dinning and shopping easy.

I would suggest that the hotel will get more luggage carts with wheels as when we arrived we had to carry everything in the room.

Loved the ev charger upon arrival. Check-in was easy and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen at a Hampton inn and the breakfast area was very clean, pleasant, comfortable. Overall, a great stay! We’d be happy to return any time.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. We love the location and we’ve enjoyed our stay. The front desk was friendly. Our room was very clean and fresh smelling. The shower/toilet room was clean and stocked up. The inclusive breakfast had plenty of options.

I didn’t give it a 5 because the bed was too worn and springy and the a/c unit was just too loud. My room was on the 6th floor.

103 Park Ave. Suite 300 Dunkin Donut STAY HERE! This is a must stay if you're in Jacksonville or stopping through. Asst. GM Telissa Andrews and her staff are welcoming, helpful, and always available. The cleaning crew keeps your room spotless. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The interior design of the rooms, seating areas and breakfast are upscale and cozy. The warm breakfast options are delicious (yes...options. they have plenty to chose and the food changes daily). Parking is very sufficient. The pool, fire pit area, and weightroom are a big plus.

Our stay was very nice. Hotel kept very clean. The general manager and staff always made it pleasant. Will definitely stay there again.

The Hampton inn was nice, but it was a bit noisy outside and the hotel does need newer free weights in the gym.

Great, location, friendly staff, clean rooms

This was the 2nd weekend stay in less than a month. The first trip was perfect, no concerns. The second trip we stayed in an odd numbered room and could not sleep because of the music from a nearby bar. Luckily the staff was very accommodating and moved us that same night. We were so grateful. Everyone there was friendly, it was clean, the breakfast was basic but fresh and I loved that they gave water bottles for free. My only concern is the pool. It had grim around the edges and did not have much privacy. Overall it is in a great location. I will definitely book there again.

Was great for what we needed it for. Got a few hours to sleep and recharge before hitting thebroad again. Breakfast was good. Eggs / waffles / sausage / biscuits and gravy / cereal / bagels and toast. Over booked are room and got use two rooms to accommodate great service

We had a great experience during our one night stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was enjoyed by our 1 year old. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is located within walking distance to multiple restaurants, and it’s a short drive to the St Johns town center. Would definitely stay again.

When visiting the Southside, I always stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. It is a great location and a nice hotel. Pet-friendly at a reasonable price. It's a good breakfast, and the staff is always helpful. If you have a dog, the Towne Center location provides some nice walking options behind the hotel. The only time I haven't stayed here is when I waited too long to book and it was full during a busy week.

The staff at this location were absolutely wonderful and so friendly. The room was clean and smelled amazing. The pool was refreshing and the pool towels were warm! They had such a lovely fire pit area that I wish I got a chance to sit by. The food in the morning was typical hotel breakfast but the waffle bar was top tier!! Super yummy waffles!! All in all we had such a great trip. Thank you for hosting us! We will most certainly stay again.

Location and surroundings area was perfect for dining, gas, highway and shopping.
