One Extremely rude staff member, couldn’t hear the tv over the loud a/c unit and roaches in the room.

Great location. I thought the breakfast was really good and property is nice. There’s public parking right across the street and the parking on site is easy and covered.

The hotel was very nice for its age. It is not a newer or newly remodeled hotel but was kept clean and we felt comfortable there, The staff was very pleasant and helpful, esp the front desk crew. The breakfast was plentiful but the area a bit small as was the pool. Access to the ocean was wonderful! Paying for parking seemed odd but once in the area, you do that most everywhere. It was nice to know you always had a spot when you came back. We will def. stay again!

Although we did get overbooked for an oceanfront balcony, it was a reasonable stay for the price on a holiday weekend and the side view balcony offered entertainment from the streets! Iykyk.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Katie was especially kind and helpful, and another staff member went out of her way to help me arrange an Uber when I needed one. The room was clean, and the overall experience was very pleasant. I really appreciated the excellent customer service and would happily stay here again.

Clean facility and close walking distance to beach, restaurants and shops. Great welcome customer friendly service when checking in. Not so much from different staff next morning when getting breakfast which is a very tight space. Overall, I would stay there again.

The manager is very nice. There is a fee for parking and even with that you’re only allowed one vehicle. We continued to have to request more towels which was an inconvenience. Our room started with one too little and then when we went and requested more the cleaning staff took them when they stopped in to clean. The complimentary breakfast was good and there was always somewhere to sit.

My wife and I stayed here about 6 years ago and the breakfast was outstanding. This go around not so much. I understand the times are a little tighter now, but would like to see this breakfast improve for almost $400 a night. Still love the property and would come back again !!!

Two minor points for improvement, but not deal breakers : 1) The shower water could be a bit hotter 2). Parking is plentiful and lots under cover, but costs an extra $12 per day. If we went to Jacksonville beach for a vacation again we would not even research other hotels, but would stay here again.....Oceanfront with balcony.

It was very nice hotel, with very clean rooms that were spacious. We had a king size bed, and a sofa, and balcony with an ocean view, which was very nice and relaxing. It was a short walk to the beach and there were some nice restaurants very close. We enjoyed the fishing pier one day, which was also very close by, easy walking distance..

Laundry worked great. You download an app and have the first load free. The app allows you to track the laundry status. Breakfast was delish and constantly replenished. The room itself was large with lots of play room. Shower is large and clean.

However, the carpet in the room had a very strong unpleasant smell, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. During a previous stay, I was offered free parking and even received a room upgrade, which left a very positive impression. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay, I was charged for parking and did not receive a room upgrade, even though the carpet in the room had a very bad smell. This made the experience feel less satisfactory compared to before. I still appreciate the great location and the kindness of the staff, but I hope the hotel improves consistency in guest experience and room conditions.

I loved that it was right on the beach and within walking distance to local restaurants and the pier. A nice little getaway with comfy rooms, comfortable beds, and a large bathroom. Breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to staying here again!

Had a beautiful bwach view . Our room was clean and comfortable. Love that its soo close to beach access points. We choose to stay here whenever we are in town becauee of the great free breakfast options. The overnight security gaurd was soo friendly and inviting. She was warm and inviting yet was able to deter some riff raff from parking lot without even a word. Her calm presence is a great addition.

The room was good, nice view of the ocean. The upholstery on the sofa and desk chair needs to be re-upholstered. The carpet and bedding was damp. Upon entering the room the A/C unit was set on high, probably to dehumidify the room.

The breakfast that’s included is pretty good. It’s similar to that offered by many places. The rooms are outdated; the carpeting feels dirty on bare feet, that’s for sure!

Location was great. Came for the Mayo Clinic, but wanted to stay at the beach. Only about a 10 minute drive to Mayo btw. Staff was friendly, helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok. If they remembered the cookies around 5, they were good, unless they burned them, which was about half the time. Parking is not free, but also a little difficult to maneuver in the tight little parking area

The music in the lobby was LOUD country and when asked to turn it down or off the staff refused. Also walked away from the desk and just let the phone ring and ring.

First of all, staff was excellent! Especially the ones that were there for check-in. They were so nice and accommodating. Told us good places to go and visit. Breakfast was good and hot. The beach view was everything. My daughter really enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the water. It was a wonderful stay and we will definitely return here for our next visit. There wasn't anything I disliked. I mean the hotel is not huge but is spacious enough. The only complaint would be the parking is a little tight but you're doing more walking than anything, so that's still not anything bad

We were absolutely satisfied with our stay. Our room was clean and kept up daily. Our room overlooked the beach so we enjoyed the ocean every day. The staff was very efficient and helpful. The breakfast selection was good; plenty to eat. This property is small, so maybe it doesn't offer as many amenities as some of the larger ones, but it has a hometown friendly vibe. The location is great -- close to the pier and to a walkway across to the beach. It's in walking distance to lots of restaurants. We would stay here again.

Breakfast was the tastiest I ever had in a chain hotels. The hotel is located right on the beach boardwalk with easy access to restaurants and nice jogging or walking.

The location was ideal, right on the ocean and walkable to many bars and restaurants and Walgreens. The breakfast was great and lasted until 10 am. Parking was essy, which is huge at the beach. Beds were comfortable, tv was large and balcony was awesome overlooking the beach.

The staff were friendly and check-in was smooth, which I appreciated. That said, the property could benefit from some updates. The pool is on the smaller side, and some areas, including the carpeting, showed signs of wear. The beds and overall room presentation could also use some improvement to feel fresher and cleaner. However, it’s important to keep expectations in line with the price point. This is not a luxury resort, and for an economy beachfront hotel, it serves its purpose well. Overall, a convenient and reasonably priced option if you’re looking to stay right on the beach without paying resort-level rates.

Overall the room was clean. Don't get an ocean-front room if you want to sleep! Although the view is great, the boardwalk stays busy until 3am and people are loud! Lots of partying. The bathroom was dingy and needs upgrades. TV selection is spoty... most channels are scrambled. Breakfast of ok but we stayed 4 days and it was the same every day. It got kinda boring. It is really not worth the money you have to pay to stay there.

We came from Georgia due to the ice storm emergency. When they found out we have service dogs due to PTSD and depression they became extremely rude. The staff was so unprofessional and the maids made comments multiple times about having a dog in the hotel, the dog which is extremely well behaved, didn't bark had no accidents in the room. We stayed in two different rooms in which we emptied our own trash, wrapped up the bedding to help the maids, had the towels all in a pile, wiped down cabinets. Both rooms had no rags, I went to ask for extra towels and were told we could only get two at a time. The Hispanic lady at the front was the worst, rolling her eyes and giving dirty looks. For a hospitality business they need more training on hospitality. The bathrooms were dirty and food left under the desks from previous guests. The ice buckets were disgusting and the morning staff who did the breakfast were also ride and very inattentive to the breakfast area, often left with nothing but crumbs with a packed breakfast area. We spent over $600 there because of an emergency we were running from ...Needs improvement and will not return.

It was not handicapped accessible. Breakfast area could not accommodate my wheelchair. My room was not accessible. They said no ocean front rooms was accessible. This is against civil rights. I want a full refund. Should have been told when reservations made. Am filing civil rights complaints with the city of Jacksonville beach. Very sad.

This hotel was great, and right on the beachfront, overlooking the ocean. The room was sizeable, comfy and included various amenities like a small refrigerator, coffee machine and microwave. The balcony was a pleasant surprise, allowing us to enjoy the morning sunrise, and a glass of wine with the early evening sunset. Breakfast choices were good too, and parking was included.

The king size bed was extremely comfortable, he’s had back surgery and I have had a hip replacement.We both slept fantastic. The breakfast was really good, tasty, and fresh. The front desk attendants were super friendly and accommodating as well. We will definitely stay here again if we travel back to Jacksonville.

The stay was decent. There was a few roaches but it's Florida so I'm chalking it up to that. Breakfast was plain but enough for the size of it. And it was right by the beach.

The staff (woman) who checked us in during the late shift was amazing - super friendly, helpful and kind. Excellent customer service skills!!! We arrived much later than expected and she was so helpful!! I really appreciated her welcoming attitude so late in the evening upon arrival. Shout out to her - thank you. Wish all staff were like her. It was also so quiet at the hotel, which was great!

Very nice, economical stay. Great Jax Beach location, outstanding ocean view from my 3rd floor balcony. The staff was very nice, breakfast simple but tasty, and the (recently refreshed?) room was clean and comfy.

It was a rough holiday weekend with a pipe that burst. The staff handled it well as it was no fault of theirs.

Staff was awesome. Breakfast was good. Loved being right on the beach! Parking was the worst part. Had to pay to park each day. Lot is smaller and we have a full sized truck. Lot of concrete pillars in the lot so you really have to watch your doors.

I couldn’t tell you the last time I stayed at a best western. This was a truly amazing hotel. The staff was friendly. It is in a great area. Everything was clean. The breakfast was nice with a good variety. There were restaurants nearby. Everything was walkable. The oceanfront room was beautiful. Everything was central to the hotel.

Hotel was great only negitive thing was you could hear everything going on outside. Next time i will request a room away from the busy street.

Then on Saturday morning, the lobby smelled too. Our floor though smelled the entire time. Frankly, if you don’t allow cigarette smoke in the rooms, why be so lax on weed. I don’t want my personal belongings smelling like that when I’m staying in a hotel. The rooms still have carpet and the A/C is not sufficient to help dehumidify the room. So the rooms are damp and musty. My sister got a room at Margaritaville down the street at the same time, for the same price. Her room was new, smelled clean and had no carpet. I regret my decision to stay here.

Hospitality

The manager was very nice. We had some issues with the room and she took care of it. There were no room upgrades available as we booked in me if the better rooms. There was no gym and a lot of homeless people slept on pool chairs. Overall the area was great the beds were hard breakfast was decent.

We enjoyed our clean, quiet room with great ocean view. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the waves as young people surfed. We also enjoyed the excellent breakfast.

Room AC was not cold. We didn't have internet the WHOLE time we were there and the staff was like it wasn't an issue. Talk to the MGR in the am ( umm we are leaving then). Overall the hotel was small and not what it showed online. WILL NOT stay again!

I reserved an ocean view. The AC was not working and I was pout in a room without a good view.

Loved our stay! Easy to find, plenty of parking, check in was fast and easy. The area was very quiet. Plenty of dining options within a walking distance. The balcony with ocean view was superb! Front desk attendants were very nice. Breakfast is your typical continental breakfast. The area is small and there is one waffle maker. We didn’t run into any problems with this. The room was great except for the mattress, it was too hard for us. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.

Our first time to Jax Beach, I highly recommend this hotel. It was quiet, clean, and breakfast was great and convenient. You can walk to shopping, restaurants and bars. It is in a safe area and right in the beautiful beach. I would definitely stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

Tried a budget friendly hotel stay this year. Best Western did not disappoint. Of course a few mold here and there. But the hotel served its purpose with comfort and convenience. Overall stay was amazing, friendly staff, and walk right out the back door to the beach.

The location was great, staff was very nice, the breakfast was great. The room we booked was ocean view which was nice also the room was clean and spotless. We were in walking distance from places shop, restaurants and bars. The only small downfall of the property is they have one elevator and it’s very slow other than that we enjoyed our stay.

I loved being oceanfront. I hated the fact that I had to pay for parking, especially after I just paid three hundred and sixty dollars for a room for 1 night

Had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check in. Apart from that, great location, great view and would stay again!

I was surpised to see i was charged for parking . WHEN I CHECKED IN I WASNT AWARE OF THIS CHARGE . THE LADY ONLY TOLD ME THEIR WOULD BE A 50.00 HOLD ON THE ROOM FOR INCIDENTS. BUT IF NOTHING WOULD BE REFUNDED . WHEN I GO TO CHECK OUT .IM GREETED WITH THIS CAR PARKING CHARGE . WOW expedia should have made this charge aware before telling me the final price for Room . As i asumed it would be included. Then the toliet was clogged . I had to request a plunger for the room . The room was musky on arriving . Kinda not what i had in mind for a vacation . Stayed many years ago here thought it would be nice, as before.

Was traveling for business in the area for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The lobby/breakfast area is very small and can get crowded quickly. The location is very convenient to shopping & restaurants. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The room very surprisingly spacious and had a large work station. This was a great value for the location, and I will definitely be staying here again!

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly but it’s not in a safe area. Cops have to constantly patrol around the hotel and the sidewalks to the beach due to people fighting and people constantly getting arrested. Not a safe place to go out after dark. My two children were terrified to even be there. I will definitely spend the extra money to stay at a different hotel next time we’re in Jacksonville. We have to go to take one of my children to the Mayo Clinic so staying close to the hospital is what we try to do and there’s plenty of hotels that are much safer and better than this one.

Great location! Probably 50 feet from a boardwalk over the dunes. Showers right by the building. A couple of meals where we walked to restaurants in 10 minutes or less. Loved that.

The checkin process was so simple. The location is ideal to the beach and beautiful night walks. The staff were so friendly. There is a pool, although small, very nice to relax at. The breakfast was very filling and many choices available. The area also has food options for drinks or dinner within walking distance. I highly recommend this Best Western!

The room was large enough for three adults. It’s not fancy but clean and pleasant. Beds were comfortable. The pool is not large but kids were having fun in it. The breakfast was nice, varied with eggs bacon biscuits sausage gravy waffles, cereals etc. A little espresso machine and a variety of tea. I was impressed with the dining area staff - they kept it spotless. Those women were always working and always cheerful and ready to help with any request. There was a rowdy guest one day, yelling and being a disturbance. We decided to go for a walk and. By the time we got downstairs the police had already been called and handled it. No further nonsense like that. If we are in Jacksonville Beach again I would stay here again.

The location is directly on the beach, but the area has lots of homeless that are wondering around 24 hours a day. My credit card number was taken at a pizza place close to the hotel, and the person attempted $3000 in charges.

The most attractive part for us was that the hotel is located right by the beach, making it the perfect spot for visitors vacationing at Jackson Beach. The area is very convenient, with plenty of fun places nearby, and the front desk staff were very friendly.

Overall it was ok. I wasnt too fond of the parking deck, very tight and minimal parking. There were old underwear in our room upon check-in which was disappointing especially because of the price.

Was a nice location for walking around to places and seeing the beach. What we didnt like is we were there for 3 nights and they didnt take our trash or refill toilet paper or anything even though we put the request for service sjgn on the door. We had to get toilet paper from the front desk and we had a reservation for 3 people and only had towels for 2 people. Breakfast was easy and decent.

Everyone went out of their way to assist me with my disabled husband. Thank you all.......
