    The property was great, the staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was clean & the bed was really comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like much is that they don’t really have a restaurant or bar like they say. They have a kitchen & some liquor on a counter. You have to order at the front desk & they deliver it to your room. I was looking forward to sitting at the bar & interacting with people. The other thing I didn’t like was the airport shuttle. It took forever to get picked up & the driver was on his cellphone the whole time. I’m disabled with a service dog the van was too high for me & the driver was too busy on his phone to assist so I struggled to get on the bus. He also didn’t interact with anyone, no “hi how are you” or anything. It was very disappointing.

    I found the hotel with a simple wine bar, a tea station and a snack shop, chips, candy bars and ice cream. All of this is so nice when you cannot sleep and want to do something with out leaving the hotel. The rooms are spacious. However, ordering a cheeseburger and fries at $17.95, the lettuce was old, dark green and wilted. Definetly not fresh at all. I took the wilted lettuce off and ate the rest. I was hungry. I asked for a discount and was offered 30% off of my meal but didn't get any discount. I did not want to order a different meal because the first one was not good. Otherwise...I had a great experience. There was Haagen-Dazs and Kit Kat ice cream, yummy. The Crown Royal Apple flavorered so good. I also enjoyed the tea station with the Lemon Lift tea.

    Be warned, they charge $20/day for parking, unless you're part of an event happening there (which we were). They do have a small restaurant there, which is nice in a pinch (if a bit over-priced). Room rates are outrageous if you're not there as part of an event. Rate was decent for the event, but we tried to stay 2 extra nights and the rate essentially doubled!

    The bad. We stayed 3 nights and the maids never touched our room. We had to exchange our own towels at the front desk. We had to leave our trash in the hallway. I have never stayed in a hotel where maid service wasn't performed everyday.

    The breakfast was great every morning and help us prepare to finish working on our house move. Love all the decorations in the hotel/room and space on the room we got was great. All the staff was wonderful too. would have love to have hot coco for the evening, since I was not a night coffee drinker.

    Had a decent parking. Very close to restaurants. Breakfast was decent, kudos to chef who was making sure everything was stocked, rooms were clean. They had free shuttles which I didn't use but they managed it really well. People had live airport updates screen in lobby.

    The night manager was so helpful when we arrived at 330am in the morning! He was so helpful. The property is extremely well kept and the rooms are lovely. Very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was great too! Highly recommend.

    Overall, I had a great stay at Wingate after my flight was canceled. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The only wrinkle in the experience was waiting for the shuttle. Wait for the shuttle at any terminal other than Terminal C (construction) and be prepared to wait for +45 minutes.

    The checkin went smoothly and the staff was polite at the front desk. This would be the only time I saw those two individuals specifically the entire week. The room was warm and humid the entire time, I had to put the temperature at 62 to just so I wouldn't wake up drenched in sweat every night as I believe the AC/Heater in room 342 was damaged. I stopped ordering food to the hotel due to the fact that no one at the front desk would notify you when your food arrived. Mine arrived 15 minutes early and the delivery who had already left contacted me. When I attempted to talk to the young man at the front desk, he barely looked away from his phone. My order was approximately 30 or so feet away out of his line of sight, which means if the food was delivered early and someone decided to claim it, it's gone. Over the course of the week, I continuously woke up with bug bites which I'm familiar with in total, I had approximately 20 "chigger" / berry mite bites down my waist, on my legs, and ankles. I've stayed in my fair share of bad hotels but never one where I was being eaten by bugs while I slept. I did not bother to call the staff as I doubt they would even bother. I would not stay here again.

    Breakfast was ok but the shuttle didn't bring us to the terminal we needed, I to take a bus at the airport and wait 30 minutes to be at the right terminal. We took Uber to get to the hotel and next time we will take a Uber to get to the airport too. The hotel was very good and clean with very nice staff.

    We had an overnight layover with a late arrival - this hotel was conveniently located near the airport and has an airport shuttle. Overall the hotel has nice aesthetics and a decent breakfast offering. We arrived too late for the onsite bar, but the friendly front desk staff were still able to sell us drinks. The only real complaint I have is that the bedsheets were a terrible quality - it felt like we were sleeping between 2 of those cheap plastic party tablecloths. It was very uncomfortable so we did not get the best sleep. Otherwise it was a decent hotel for the price and location. Quiet and clean.

    I really enjoyed my stay. It was a perfect way to relax during my overnight layover. Breakfast options were good, tasty and the area was always kept clean. I called to request shuttle pick-up at the airport and they informed me that they don't do pickups at the C terminal, so I moved to a different one, the shuttle did take about half an hour to arrive though.

    We didn't care for this room for numerous reasons. The TV had issues with the sound. Half the channels had sound and the other half didn't. The alarm clock numbers were only half lit so you couldn't read the time. There is only an outlet / phone charger area on one side of the bed (of course not on my side of the bed). The nightstands were so high and close to the bed that I felt I was going to hit my face on it or loose an eye. When we were moved to another room the only one of these things that was resolved was the TV sound. Alarm clock still didn't work so couldn't see the time.

    The hotel was basic but clean and comfortable. We waited over an hour for the van to transport us to the hotel - including multiple phone calls. It was very frustrating and the van was small and quite worn down, with no signage. The van to the airport the next day served multiple hotels and we were the last pick-up. We almost could not fit everyone in - and a child needed to sit on a parent's lap.

    This was the ultimate worst stay ever and I havent left a review like this in my life. There had to be a list this long to get 1 star. The room we were checked into had a brocken door handle. THEY CHARGE FOR WATER. A basic necessity which I have never experienced in my life in any hotel in the world. The TV did not work. There were 2 garbage bins in the room with garbage already in them. Even after this, werent given water. This hotel has gone downhill. Staff seem over worked. Never will I stay here again. Avoid. Shuttles are late picking up passengers. No functional system at all. They did drop us off on time to the airport. Also wi-fi was a joke.

    The breakfast was unappealing and not edible for me. The shuttle service took nearly 1-1/2 hours for pickup upon arrival. The return shuttle experience was much better. The front desk staff were indifferent when I arrived after the long wait for the shuttle. The key to my room did not work. It took 3 trips to the front desk to get a working key. I will not stay at this motel ever again.

    I booked a weekend trip as a gift for my husband. I selected a king room with a jetted tub. Turns out this was a terrible mistake. The room was an accessible room? Which was not requested or divulged. The breakfast included was limited and the coffee was horrid. The desk chair had a broken wheel. I asked for a replacement they said tomorrow morning. I checked the following morning to make sure it hadn’t slipped through the cracks as we headed out for a late breakfast. I had to check in again for a 3rd time when we headed out for dinner to have it handled yet again. Meanwhile my husband attempted to indulge in a bath with the jetted tub. Turns out they didn’t work. Are kidding me? So we’re in a ridiculously large room in order to accommodate a disability we don’t have. The ONE thing I booked the room for doesn’t function. From there it goes down hill. Instead of being in a cozy room with my husband for the weekend we had a couch that was rock. The TV could only be viewed in the portion of the room blocked off for the bed. Housekeeping services were not provided the entire weekend (with communication that would not be). When I asked to speak to the GM or the AGM I was given [email protected]. Yeah…I’m thinking it’s unlikely that email ever gets checked. I could go on about all kinds of details like no art work, none. Only 2 mirrors. But at this point I’m just nitpicking. My real objection is they advertised a jetted tub and we didn’t get it.

    Friendly airport shuttle an helpful front desk staff! The room was very clean, however there were a couple stains on couch that looked maybe like bleach. The “restaurant or bar” sounded a lot more appealing than it actually was. But the front desk did serve to people in the lobby. Staff was very accommodating for late checkout and whatever I needed help with.

    The room is everything you want and expect it to be….ultra clean, comfortable bed, extremely spacious w/ a separate sitting room and desk, close to the airport, free shuttle in the morning, filling breakfast, very kind and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again!! Although this did not affect the rating I gave, I called for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel in the evening I arrived. I waited for 35 minutes and it never showed up. So I got on another hotel’s shuttle and then walked the 1/4 mile to this hotel. Not sure of the communication breakdown but the shuttle was sitting at the front of the hotel when I walked up.

    Here is my biggest problem and concern. I was given a room on the first floor and come to find out the curtains do not close. Everyone in the parking lot can see right INTO THE ROOM!! The only thing covering the window are sheer curtains. This made my stay completely uncomfortable. Everyone walking by could watch everything going on in the room. I DO NOT know or understand why the hotel would do this. It is not only creating an invasion for privacy, but it’s a safety issue as well.

    I booked the hotel based on closeness to DFW and free shuttle. Confirmed that an airport shuttle would be available since we were arriving around 1:00am. Confirmed. Landed and called to get the shuttle dispatched, was told 20-25 minutes. Shuttle took over an hour. When we did get in the shuttle it kept circling the terminals. The one other person in the shuttle had been there for a long time. Finally it took us to the hotel. Check in took a long time and then did not get the king room that I booked.

    Staff was incredible here! The hotel has several common areas to enjoy, we had our grankids who live in the area and had plenty of spaces to enjoy them. Room was big, bed very nice, great overnight stay and so clise to the airport DFW. Shuttle was on time but we only used it to the airport. easier to uber from the airport when you arrive. Overall a great stay, We will return.

    It's likely wall units even though set to cool mode at 70°, pull in outside air into the room instead of recycling air (refrigerate). I checked via an wx app, and it was 80% humidity outside as well. If the a/c unit is supposed to recycle indoor air to cool the room, then the hotel needs to have them fixed. The bed sheets were damp and hard floor surfaces sticky to the touch. Very uncomfortable for a person from an arrid region. I checked out a day early because of this experience.

    If you’re booking this for the airport shuttle, be cautious. Called and were told 15-20 minutes and after a 40 minute wait we gave up and called an uber. The morning shuttle to the airport however really came through. Every time we were starting to be upset because a van was getting full another would pull in immediately behind it. Very on top of it on the way out. Hotel was FINE. There was a weird smell and it felt super humid in the room probably leading to the weird musty smell. The staff however was great. Area seems fine. It’s NOT 6 minutes from the airport like the app said but it was only like 15. I would consider staying again because the price was right but I would definitely explore other options first.

    We stayed, then paid to park. When we got back from our trip, shuttle never picked us up. We called about 5 times for 2 hours and kept getting assured a shuttle was on the way. We had to pay a Lyft back to the hotel after 2.5 hours of waiting. The staff seemed unconcerned.

    Landscaping done, outer appearance of the building painted nice. Only criticism i would say is front desk staff not dressed in professional manner. If they wore a button up collar shirt or polo to distinguish the difference of being a customer and an employee would really elevate the business. Some different people had t shirts, a woman wore a sweatshirt hoodie, some man was up there with a wornout tshirt and ungroomed appearance.

    My daughter and I booked this hotel to have a place to relax on a long layover. I booked this property because it was close to the airport and offered a free airport shuttle. However, I was not able to use the shuttle service. Upon arrival, I phoned the property to alert them that we were ready for pickup (per their instructions), but I was never able to get past the automated system. I called the property multiple times but ended up being left on hold each time until the calls disconnected. I finally got fed up and booked a ride share since at that point, after a delayed flight, we only had a few hours to use our room before we needed to be back to the airport. Shuttle drivers from other hotels were commenting that this is a common occurrence with this particular hotel shuttle. If not for the airport shuttle issue, I would have left a glowing review.

    It was a quick stay. Employees were friendly. According to the info about the hotel shuttle on the hotel’s information on hotels.com confirmation, it stops at 11 pm so we did not attempt to contact the hotel for the shuttle but found it was still operating after we arrived to the hotel. Room was clean and comfy but pillows very high and hard. Cover for bed was not so nice - polyester more like a shower curtain. Room was spacious and okay breakfast as well.

    If you were looking for a very basic hotel near the airport, this will do. The beds were comfortable, but the floor was sticky. I was also there over Memorial Day weekend and it was 97° out and it felt like 101. They did not have any water set out for guest. There wasn’t even water available during the continental breakfast. When I asked for a glass of water, they told me there was water available for purchase. I think that providing ice water for your guest is an expectation. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that there wasn’t at least water available for guest.

    There was an awful smell coming from the sink in my room (124), which I guess is why the stopper was down when I arrived. The air conditioning unit was very loud, so loud it disturbed my sleep. The microwave did not heat up food when I used it. And the wifi signal for streaming was terribly slow and kept buffering while watching Hulu and YouTube. The room was very clean and tidy, bed and pillows were very comfortable. The couch was hard as a brick, needs to be replaced. I would stay here again, but please fix the issues I mentioned.

    I will definitely stay here again. All the staff were incredibly helpful. Due to a long flight and some delays, I hadn't eaten in over 14 hours, the staff took my order for a meal and delivered it to my room. The street tacos were excellent. Also they do a happy hour for wine (probably beer too). Room was spacious and clean. Only difficulty was accessing the TV channels, I had to call for directions as you have to start on a special channel and toggle up and down from that. I will always stay here when I transit through Dallas.

This worked wonderfully to get to the hotel from the airport. However, the shuttle driver for the morning time we signed up for in advance never showed up. The hotel offered no alternatives so we ended up hiring a lift. We could’ve done that from any hotel.

    One of the best surprises was the food truck conveniently located right on the premises. It was such a nice touch not to have to leave the hotel to find a good meal, especially after a long day. The food was delicious and added to the overall comfort and convenience of my stay.     Stayed for one night as I had a very early morning flight. The room was fine, clean with good thermostat control. I had two issues - the TV only shows broadcast networks. How expensive can it be to have internet connection so that guests can log into their Netflix or Hulu accounts? The second issue was that the curtains do not close. My room faced the hotel car park which was brightly lit, so I could not sleep.

    First on arrival the attendant told us that our stay required a credit card but the card was declined. So we paid cash only to find out that our booking had been paid through Hotels.com. Once I notified the property after our stay they tell me they do not take cash. The attendant did not provide us with a receipt, it was a late check in and we forgot to get it from the desk.     I travel to the DFW area monthly and I always book at wingate because it convient and afforable considering I usually stay 1 to 2 days. As always I had a great stay. but the airport shuttle never come to the airport this time around and I end up paying 30.00 urber. The hotel phone was never answered. When I finally got them they did acknowldedge that they had phone issues but they didnt over complimentry anything due to the inconviencet that I was put through having to obtain a urber instead of having access to their airport shuttle services, which is one of the reason I book because of the convience of airport shuttle.     Pros -Close to DFW airport -Not too pricey -Rooms are cleans -Not too much outside noise even considering how close it is to the airport -Free shuttle to airport -Overall fairly clean -Free breakfast (and of decent quality) -Room was fairly large and comfortable -All the fun/interesting stuff is within a 10-15 minute drive (Meow Wolf, downtown, Grapevine Mills, etc.) Cons -A/C was REALLY loud. Sounded like it needed fixing and as it made clunk noise. Ceiling fan in bathroom is similar -Water pressure was fairly low on sink and shower -Showerhead has very limited turning ability. This in combination with low water pressure made it hard to take a good shower. -Not really close to much anything within walking distance other than basic amenities, but that's a Texas thing so won't dock it too hard for that. Would strongly recommend you book a rental car -Had complimentary face soap, but weirdly no body soap TLDR: if you want somewhere that's fairly cheap but good, this is the place. Book a rental car if you can.

    Staff at the hotel was outstanding. Promptly switched my room when requested, assisted with making copies of documents for a meeting the next day, provided information about their shuttle and my needs to go to a local HQ of my airline. Condition of the hotel was another outstanding element. Everything was clean and well-cared for as was the room. You can tell that Housekeeping is on their "A" Game at this hotel. Appears to be family owned and operated and the young couple that assisted me with checkin and other requests was both very kind and very accommodating. Definitely my new favorite hotel in the DFW area. I will be back!

    Property was average. Was fine to have a good night's rest after exploring the city. Bed was comfortable. As a guest service manager, the desk agents left a lot to be desired except the one gentleman that worked Monday morning. The customer service was bare minimum.     I liked the layout, amenities and renovations of the room. I didn't like that there wasn't a place to hang my bath towel for drying so I had to request a second set which was really easy to do.

    The room was adequate and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was no restaurant so we had to walk to one that was close by. The complimentary breakfast was ok. The price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

    Only area of difficulty was the airport shuttle. It was a key reason we selected the Windgate. Getting the hotel shuttle from DFW took 60 mins with multiple calls. Next mornings shuttle back to DFW went OK.

    It's better than I expected from a 3 start hotel with a 2 star price. Everything was clean, and there were limited signs of wear but nothing that was outdated or needed to be replaced. Nothing fancy, but nothing problematic.
