Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Las Colinas

Staff was rude during breakfast time both times, the breakfast was great which was a let down dealing with the rude attendant. The rooms smelled bad upon arrival but did look clean. The power went out the following morning and staff was very unorganized and unprofessional in handling the matter. They did not give us any credit for the early checkout nor had any information to how long or why we had to be in a hot dark hotel room. When we left at 8 am and we received two separate emails for different check out times as well. We loved this place and this year it just wasn’t it.

I also discovered one of the outlets (a horizontal one on top of a desk) wasn’t anchored and when I tried to unplug the iron the whole outlet box came off. I had to dress again and walk to the lobby to get a spare from the night manager. My boss had checked into his room in the next building and I saw him with his luggage grumbling that he had to change rooms because his want still not ready. When he walked in the mattress was leaned up against the wall and used towels were still in th bathroom. He mentioned he last stayed he over a decade ago and it didn’t look like a dime had been put into the property since. He actually told me he’d suggest I never stay there again. Our experiences made me feel this was worth sharing. I enjoy Residence Inn, I’d hate to have more experiences like this there.

Room was unclean upon arrival but decided to stick with it. Later when laying in bed i found a LARGE cockroach crawling on the floor. about 3 inches in length. Immediately took a video and went to the front desk staff who was unhelpful. Decided to leave the hotel after that. Expedia was extremely useful to get a refund and video evidence helped.

Hotel isn’t what the pictures trick you into. Hotel room floors and bottom of shower were very dirty. 4 other families we know that stayed this weekend also said their rooms weren’t cleaned well. Surrounding guest were also awful, smoking weed and partying all night with loud music 2 nights in a row we had to call the cops.

I won't stay anywhere else when I come to Dallas.

The staff was incredibly nice! Our toilet was clogged, our room smelled like weed, and it just didn’t look or feel clean. Unfortunately we were too uncomfortable to stay so we checked out as fast as we checked in. But Itzel at the front desk was so incredibly sweet and made it easy.

Great location feels like home away from home. I made reservations for 2 beds and a sofa bed for my family. When it was time to sleep pulled out the sofa bed and it was not clean at all. They need to upgrade their sofa beds if they are going to include them with the accommodation of the room. It was a bomber and disappointed because I purchased that room to intentionally use the sofa bed

My favorite hotel to stay at when I am on the road. I love how the rooms are set up. I absolutely love the bed. Breakfast is great. Area has lots going on. Wouldn't even dream of staying anywhere else when I come to Dallas

The room itself felt a bit dirty and poorly maintained, and the kitchen appliances and utensils were not properly cleaned.

The staff was friendly from day one and the hotel was in close proximity to the convention center but was an affordable, comfortable option. Better than the other more expensive hotels in the area.

The full size and stocked kitchen was a plus, the rooms were spacious. The main check in area had some issues w the ceiling, looks like it had a leak at one point and it was not fixed yet. The breakfast could also use some improvement.

It may be someone else’s okay for the stay, but not for me. I love the other residence inn we’ve stayed in. However this one had too many people walking late taking loud. The beds had hair in them. The mattresses were worn as well as the bedding was stained. Needed to be replaced not just washed. It was like the whole room was refurbished bedding. The appliances was nice and new. We were down stairs. The noise was horrible. Even from the neighbors above they walked hard all night.

This hotel is old, the mattresses were so soft in a warm down kind of feeling, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling and what looked live animal feces on the floor behind the bathroom door. Additionally, while the shower and toilet are in an enclosed small space, there is nowhere to have privacy when getting read to go. The only saving grace was the speed and friendliness of the front desk staff. I do not recommend this place.

Even though the room was aired by us their was a pungent smell that wont go away. I am thinking it was from the carpet or maybe some mold that was behind the walls. Air conditioner Unit was very noisy.

Overall the stay was good. I loved the 2 bedroom suite layout. It had an Airbnb feel. My only complaints are the mattress are way too soft. When you sit down on the bed you are almost to the ground. The tvs cut off on us and took a long time to come back on and when they did we could only watch local channels. Other than that the room was good

The staff was Good; but in 3 days they didnt clean our room for an unknown reason. Because of that the room was a mess . We need to ask for new towels and toilet paper, something that usually is not necessary.

I’ve stayed here twice now and both times have been great. It’s one of those places you come back to because it just feels right. Definitely planning to stay here many more times in the future. Highly recommend — don’t judge it by the outside!

Staff was friendly. Apartment was spacious, for a long stay this would have been useful. Door lock broke and had trouble getting into the room in the night, looong walk back and forth to the room. Check in took 30 min since they didnt have a contactless reader and I didn't have a physical credit card and they couldnt use the one on file. Wifi had trouble and tv connection.

Overall the property is in good condition and is located close to DFW airport. Rooms are quiet and the breakfast was very good, The fresh fruit at breakfast was exceptional. Our bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress had a big valley in the middle that was hard to keep from rolling into it. I would have expected better from a Marriott franchised property. Maybe our mattress was an anomaly, but I'm not sure I'd risk another sleepless night there.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking was accessible and abundant. Towels and sheets were clean. Room was nice and tidy. They were cobwebs behind the bathroom door and we did catch and kill one cockroach, but this is the south so I don’t know they can be avoided.

I had a great at this hotel. I love how it has its own private entrance as it you’re at an apt. Love the set up in the room as well. My only complaint is housekeeping needs to vacuum under the couch. There were some fake nails under there.

We chose this location to be near my daughter's place. It turned out to be the perfect place for us as we had 2 toddlers with us. The room size was perfect! Breakfast was great and delicious everyday. The staff were great people. Everything was just wonderful and to my liking. We plan to use this place as our "go to spot" whenever visiting the area again.

Very spacious! Great kitchen esp if you are planning a stay - has full sized appliances. Sleeper sofa is a sleeper sofa but only sleeps 1 adult Large bathroom. 2 Q beds. Just a shame we weren’t staying longer

This was literally a last minute stay for us - The hotel we had booked had too many issues and we had to find an alternative. Overall a good stay. Nice and Helpful staff.clean room. Seemed to be in a safe part of town. Breakfast could have better. The pool was closed 😢 All-in-all I'd stay again,if in the area.

The hotel location is very nice. It was in a quiet area and close to some restaurants and gas stations. Breakfast was good. The outside of the hotel looks great, however our room, not so much. Our bed needs to be replaced. We felt like we were lying upside down because the bed was pretty beat up and maybe super old. The restroom is too tiny we can barely move around. The closets look really cheap and not at par with Marriot standard. Staff were great 😊. Unit # 1111.

Someone claiming to be housekeeping was banging on the door at 0800 trying to get in the room. Mid age male Hispanic Mexican accent short dark hair scared us will not stay at this type of Marriott again

I disagree with all of the bad reviews. The staff was awesome. The food was, as expected from hotels, just fine. Parking was open. Ease in and out was simple. Location is perfect.

Breakfast was good. But the staff seemed very lazy and did not tend to the rooms properly. Had to consistently ask for basic necessities like toilet paper and soap.

Friendly staff and the place/property looked clean. Some things in the room looked a little run down and dirty but overall it was nice.

No iron/ironing board. Had to ask. No hangers Floor of tub was black. Needed scrubbing. Bathroom door off center. Didn’t stay shut. Most convenience outlets loose. Needed to jiggle to jiggle plug to energize. Grounds poorly maintained. Housekeeping came to room only twice for a one-week stay. 2nd time just knocked and asked if I needed anything. Did not freshen room. Room quality/condition way below Marriott standard. One day hot breakfast was good. All cooked in-house. Next day hot breakfast was all prepackaged items warmed up. Next day a mix if both. Convenient parking Ice maker in freezer was great Fireplace nice touch Very convenient location

Staff was great! Easy check in and check out. The place was nice and clean. The area is close to everything we went for. Great experience overall.

The hotel is old and dated. The room smelled funny and could have been cleaner. Not a good value for the money.

Our room finally got serviced the day before we left we sfayed 4 nights. The bafhroom smelled like urine. The pull out sofa sleeper had an old mattress super uncomfortable. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful that was the best part of the stay.
