    Hotel was OK. Rooms are little outdated and they want to charge for parking. Biggest issue was with the water temp in the shower. It would go from warm to scalding hot. When I would adjust the temp slightly to be cooler, it then became freezing cold. Happened both days I was there. Seems like the boiler is having issues. If you have young kids that could be a real problem. Coffee bar was closed Sunday morning as well which was odd.

    The hotel is close to the DFW airport with 24/7 shuttle service. The room was clean and well-stocked. The breakfast buffet was good. I would stay there again if I had to overnight on a flight connection.

    Front desk was very nice and welcoming, the property seemed clean at first. There was a terrible mold smell in the room that instantly gave me a headache. The air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a bathroom exhaust fan. Disappointed this is a Hilton hotel. Location was next to a Econo Lodge. Iykyk

    The staff failed to mention the AC was out. I was traveling for medical purposes and no AC was a non starter after observing the prostitute romaing the property in andress with holes showing her buttocks, the urine smell upon entering, and the lines of guests checking out due to the lack of air and humid heat in the hotel. I was forced to make alternative accommodation due to surgery the next day. I have contacted support, and I expect at the minimum a refund in full for this inconvenience and poor service.

    I am not a complainer, and usually just try to make the best of things but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There is some sort of humidity issue in the whole building, the beds were wet (we had 3 rooms) and our clothes all eventually ended up being wet from just sitting in the room. There is black mold in the vents and cracks. It stinks. So bad so that we asked to switch rooms and it still stunk. The air wouldn’t go below like 76. There was little black bugs, I looked up what they were and the internet says they are moisture bugs and eat black mold. We paid for the breakfast on our reservation then they tried to charge us 90 dollars for eating breakfast. It’s old and outdated and all around not good. I will say the front desk people were very nice and the cookies they offer were good but that’s the only positive I can say.

    Arrived late in the evening and it took 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. With the additional stops getting to the property a couple of miles away took a total of 45-50 minutes. The staff could have informed it would be ~30 minutes instead of he’s on the way. Other shuttle services came through minimally 2 times before ours came once and a couple came 3 times. Unacceptable.

    Then went back down stairs and told them that not the room I reserved Then they proceeded to tell me they don’t have a room I reserved and told me the king was the one I reserved then I showed them my reservations then they proceeded to tell me all they had available was a handicap accessible room and proceeded to give me that one

    The hotel staff truly turned a horrible situation into comfort for my daughter and me. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after an incredibly stressful travel day. The breakfast the next morning was also excellent and the staff continued to be warm and accommodating. In moments like these, customer service matters more than ever, and this team absolutely delivered. Thank you to everyone at DoubleTree DFW North for making a difficult situation so much easier.     Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. However, the bathroom cleanliness could definitely be improved. There was a dirty towel left on the floor when I arrived, and I also noticed hair in the bathtub, which was disappointing. Aside from that, the experience was good.

    The whole experience was just awful. Starting from the phone call to get an airport shuttle - not friendly - to shuttle service where the driver berated other waiting guests that he had been waiting for them, to all my suitcases with sensitive medical equipment falling out of the van. ( the driver packed them into van but accused me of them falling out). He shouted at me when I asked him to be careful with my suitcases. Arriving at the hotel and check in was awful - was berated by the check in staff that I had attitude - as I did not follow his instructions to queue up parallel to the counter - the room was outdated, tired and smelled of humidity. I checked out the next day into a very nice and beautiful hotel. Could have done without this awful endeavour

    If you have an early morning flight out of DFW, this is a great option for you. The commute to DFW was three minutes. Also, the hotel is very very well soundproofed because we did not hear noise from even one airplane despite being so close to the airport. Property could stand to be remodeled because it is slightly dated. Bathroom water pressure was very low.

    Around midnight, I went to use the bathroom and encountered a large cockroach. The space was so small that it ran back and forth across the floor, which was extremely unsettling. I was startled and had to leave all the lights on for the rest of the night, making it difficult to sleep. The visible cracks and gaps near the floorboards raised additional concerns about maintenance and cleanliness. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

    The best part about the hotel was the staff, they were friendly, smiling, attentive and did a wonderful job at helping out. The issue with the hotel was the room. The air in the room never kept the room cool it only came on for about 30 secs every 20-30 minutes. There were stains throughout the carpet. The headboard was removed and the area was never patched up correctly it was just painted over. The area around the sliding door was not clean.

    breakfast is simple with a charge. what bothered me most is the noise. toilet flush with such a loud noise that shocked me and walls are so thin that I would wake up during night because people talking and walking through the hallway even when it is midnight.

    Pool was closed which was a disappointment. No luggage carts?!?! Had to carry a 50# cooler and all out luggage around. Deadbolt for the door 90% unscrewed and hanging out. Loud guests screaming all weekend like zoo animals. Parking lot very questionable. I stayed here because we trust the Doubletree name, but thus was a motel more comparable to LaQuinta or Days Inn.

    One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the pool, especially for our children. Upon arrival, we learned the pool was closed, and this information was not disclosed on the hotel’s website at the time of booking. Had this been clearly communicated, I would have selected a different hotel. This lack of transparency was extremely disappointing. Our room also had several maintenance issues. The shower head was defective, spraying water in multiple directions and causing water to flood the bathroom after each use. In addition, the ice machine on our floor was broken, which added further inconvenience during our stay. Customer service was also lacking. When we requested additional towels, we were told we would need to come downstairs to retrieve them ourselves. We were also questioned about why we needed so many towels, despite traveling as a family of four. This interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Overall, this stay did not reflect the standards I expect from a Hilton-branded property. Due to these issues, I would rate my experience 2 out of 10, and I left feeling very unsatisfied.

    Very disappointing experience. This hotel advertises an airport shuttle, but when we called for pickup we were told there was no shuttle available and that we needed to take an Uber. That cost us an unexpected $30 just to get to the hotel. When we arrived, Marcus at the front desk said the shuttle driver had called out. At the same time, another guest called (on speaker) saying she was waiting for pickup, which made it feel like they were choosing who to provide service to. I calmly asked if there would be a shuttle in the morning for our flight. Marcus assured me there absolutely would be and even said they would pay out of pocket if transportation wasn’t available. The next morning, we were told we would need to wait almost an hour, which would have made us miss our flight. When I reminded him of his promise, he became rude and sarcastic, denied what he had said, and told me it was not his problem and that I should find my own ride. We were forced to pay another $30 for transportation to the airport. Advertising services you don’t reliably provide, then treating guests disrespectfully when questioned, is unacceptable. I will not return.

    In the lobby I was happy to hear 80's music playing. Maile and Berenice greeted me with genuinely warm smiles that instantly made me feel welcome. Check-in was quick and smooth. They answered all my questing, got me a nice room, filled me in on breakfast, and provided me with some helpful tips for navigating the Hilton Honors app. And of course, handed me one of their famous DoubleTree Signature Chocolate Chip Cookies - always a hit. My room was spacious, clean, already had a luggage stand out, and the desk is so big I had more than enough room for my workstation... and snacks. If I had to note anything, it would be that the shower water could be hotter and the towels are due to be retired and replaced with new softer ones. Breakfast was another surprise. Sure, they have the basics - but then you turn the corner and there's Kendirck at the omelet station working his magic. Also, their pastries were bakery level good. Despite this being my first stay, Maile and Berenice treated me like a beloved regular guest they were genuinely happy to see again. Their hospitality left a real impression. Well done, DoubleTree. Well done. 👏

    The majority of the staff was great, Friendly. Of course there's always one that can put a wrench in things. The room was ok, It did smell of mildew and the window seal seemed to be leaking. So there was moisture near the window and dampness in the carpet. There was also obvious signs of water damage in the walls near the window that had been painted over. The toilet in our room was not working properly even after been seen by maintenance and the shower faucet was not wanting to put the water to the shower head. I'd say the bathrooms could use some work. The food in their restaurant area was good. Overall it was a safe place to be to weather the storm we got stuck in. This location just needs some work.

    The hotel is a little dated but it was clean overall. The check in was smooth and the gent who checked us in was kind. Only complaint was that there were 2 body washes and 1 conditioner in the shower, no shampoo. A little inconvenient when naked and wet to get a personal item out of the bag in the bedroom.

    The maintenance staff was extremely helpful. I was given a room that did not have a working card reader. I had to call maintenance every time I left the room to be let back in. The front desk person who checked me in said they were fully booked so they could not move me to another room, but the following day after check out, I would be able to get a different room. The day shift check in desk denied my request for a new room the following day. I was exhausted from travel and countless flight delays so I didn’t fight it. My child and I made a great weekend out of being stuck in an unknown city for 3 days but it would’ve been nice to not be an inconvenience to the front desk multiple times a day to ask for someone to let us in our room.

    We confirmed with the front desk that night about the morning shuttle back to the airport as we needed to leave by 4am. They said it would come every hour- so would be there at 4am. My sister and I arrived to the lobby at 3:57am and stood there waiting. At 4:01 I approached the overnight front desk staff to inquire about the shuttle and he said it was leaving at 4am. I said it was 4:01am at which point he burst out laughing and said “it left at 4am”. I told him I’ve been waiting here, and his response (as he kept laughing ) was “it left at 4”. He proceeded to continue his conversation with someone else. With the delays going on at the airport, it was imperative we left at 4am, instead we had to book a last minute Lyft which took 10 minutes to arrive. The front staff could’ve been more understanding and offered an alternative or called to verify that the shuttle did indeed pass because we were there early and did not see any shuttle.

    When we checked in the person at the desk gave us our keys. We left for a while before going to our room. When we came back we grabbed all our luggage and headed to the room to only find out she gave us keys to another room. Luckily the person had the door latch on other wise we would have went into her room. How terrible was that. Went back down stairs told them they gave us another room. Took all our stuff up to that room to only find out it was a double bed as I ordered. So we had to go back down stairs to get another room. Once we got in the other room we didn’t have enough towels and the beds was super hard and uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay at that location again. And we had to pay for overnight parking which I paid for, for 2 nights to only find out that the last night my parking pass expired at 3am.

    We ended up taking an Uber to the airport because we missed the shuttle, totally our fault. BUT when we landed we could not get ahold of anyone at the hotel to request a pick up shuttle. We tried for over 30 minutes and ended up calling an Uber to take us back to the hotel. We only stayed there because of the parking and shuttle so we will not be staying there again and find another option.

    Nah the man working behind the bar was amazing. He was doing everything by himself, the job of at last three people as he was also waiting tables and retrieving guys from the kitchen. It was incredibly busy due to lots of stranded travellers. I wish he could've received some help from additional staff. He is an amazing employee!

    The hotel's proximity to dining establishments and convenient access to airports were appreciated. The decision to stay at the hotel was made to secure parking for an upcoming flight, which incurred a fee. Unfortunately, the in-room television was non-functional, and attempts to contact the front desk via telephone were unsuccessful. Upon reaching the front desk after a 20-minute wait, the staff member was initially reluctant to provide the requested four bottles of water, despite the room's occupancy. Furthermore, the signature Doubletree cookies were unavailable. These issues suggest a need for comprehensive maintenance and refurbishment of the hotel. The airport shuttle service provided professional personnel; however, the vehicle's condition was less than ideal. The driver, Bill, offered pleasant service and curated enjoyable music. Nevertheless, the attempt to solicit a tip by illuminating the QR code in daylight was perceived as a pressure tactic. The noise generated by the treadmill in the gymnasium was perceived as intrusive, significantly impacting the ability to rest, despite fatigue.

    I think Double Tree should be a medium premium hotel but I did not get that idea while there. I was a little frustrated that they limit the volume of the TV so that on the loudest setting when the AC was working, the TV could not be heard. Also, the bathtub water was not draining well. Other than that, it was a great stay.

    Breakfast was presented as it was included with our stay, we were told hours when we checked in, but no mention of it being an additional cost. There were no signs at the eating area. We only found out when someone came and laid a check at our table and walked away, after we had served ourselves. This was very unclear and a disappointment as the breakfast was a glorified continental breakfast not worth the cost. The facilities were much more run down than the photos represent. We also had standing water in our tub in the mornings with floating pieces of black mold. Would overall not recommend this hotel.

    We had reserved two double-bed rooms and arrived at our scheduled check-in time of 3:00 p.m. However, our rooms were not ready upon arrival. My mother accepted a single-bed room, and I informed the front desk that we would return later since our reservation was specifically for a double-bed room. When we returned after 10:00 p.m. to check in, the night clerk informed me that the original clerk had changed my reservation to a single-bed room.     The bed was amazingly comfortable. The staff was friendly and helped me with all of my questions. The room was super clean. It was spacious and the bathroom was nice. I had a billing snafu but it was corrected. Pool had some trash and wasn't super clean. I didn't use the pool but I had a ground level room and spent some time outside.

    The first room we were given had not been cleaned, it had slept in unmade beds with makeup on the spread, trash in the bathroom and room, not clean at all. We were given another room that we were told was an upgrade but was exactly like the first room, though the second room was clean. Bathrooms are tiny and room was cramped. Bed was comfortable on the plus side.

    This hotel was horrible, there was a mildew smell throughout the rooms and the corridors. Something was going on with the AC and everything in the room felt damp and the hallways were not conditioned at all. There was visible mold you could see on the ceilings in the room and in the common area. I would have left and found a different hotel but it was a work trip and we got in around midnight and were only staying until an early flight the next day. My sinuses were messed up for days after staying here.

    I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Irving, Texas, and I can confidently say it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was hit with an overwhelming smell of mold that was both unwelcoming and alarming. It set a dreadful tone for what was to follow. The situation in the room was no better. Despite setting the air conditioning to a frigid 51 degrees, the unit only managed to blow hot, humid air. Instead of relief, we were met with a musty odor that permeated the room, making it feel damp and uncomfortable. Everything from the sheets to the pillows became coated in moisture, creating an environment that was anything but restful. After an exhausting 24-hour journey from Rome to Berlin, then to Newark, Dulles, and finally to DFW, we were desperate for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, the conditions at this hotel made that impossible. We only managed to catch a few hours of sleep, and even then, it was far from restful due to the discomfort. The only reason we didn't leave was sheer exhaustion. If it hadn't been for the toll of our travels, we would have sought refuge elsewhere. In conclusion, the DoubleTree by Hilton in Irving, Texas, failed on multiple fronts: cleanliness, comfort, and basic hospitality. I would highly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice and seek accommodations elsewhere.

    But I wasn’t there. I never left the spot where they told me to come. And when I called after more tha. Half an hour had lapsed, the front desk kept hanging up on me. The property was subpar. The lobby was nice but the room was stuffy, an extremely loud noise or whistle sounded when turning on the hot water for a shower and the fan or air conditioning did not get very cool. Also, the fan was extremely loud. There was a dampness in the room. The manager was kind and helpful and the people’s champ shuttle driver was patient, calming and professional. They helped ease an otherwise unpleasant experience.

    This property desperately needs updating. The rooms are small, hot and humid.     The property is in need of a major renovation, the wall paint was peeling off and it was a strong smell of mustiness.     The hallway and the room had a mildew smell. In the room it was obvious that there was a water damage on the ceiling and then it was covered by adding wall color on top of it. This just caused my mold sensitivities to flare up. There were some yellow stains on the carpet through out the whole room. Do not recommend. I am shocked how this place runs under Hilton.

    When we finally got our keys, we were assigned the farthest room possible despite having four pieces of luggage and two car seats. No assistance was offered, making the long trek to the room exhausting, especially after a frustrating check-in process. The room itself was a major letdown—it had a strong moldy smell that made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. Given the Hilton brand’s reputation, we expected a much better experience, but this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made in customer service, room maintenance, and overall hospitality.

    Unfortunately the customer service of both Hotels.com and this facility were very poor. We were stuck in Dallas due to a snowstorm. While attempting to book the hotel, the app stopped working and did not initially provide me with my confirmation. I thought the booking did not go through and went and made another reservation. However, I was charged both. I attempted to resolve this with the hotel staff who told me they would inform their manager. I received no follow up. I attempted to message the property and address it through Hotels.com. Being stranded while traveling is already scary. But to consider that these types of entities will take the chance to gouge every penny they can get is even more unsettling.
