The hotel is well located for highway and restaurant access. An area that needs more attention is the lack of safety grab bars in the bathroom for each room. Another maintenance issue is the unusable outside access on the door on the south side of the building.

Rooms were very spacious and look very clean with the exception of the carpet had a few stains on them which I know can be hard to get out but maybe try shampooing them. Pool is very small and limited on the luggage carts, front desk did say there were only two available, for 5 floor hotel should be more and they couldn't be found that night.

The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. I found a razor in front of the TV from previous guests, which raises concerns about whether the room was properly cleaned.

The outdoor trash was overflowing, with several pizza boxes, bags of soda/beer cans, and other garbage sitting at one of the side entrances. We assumed it was due to the evening hour (9:45 p.m.). However, when we checked out the next day, all that garbage, plus several more items, was loaded beside the side door. We didn't check out until 10:00 am, so the trash pileup sat for 12 hours+. The only other issue was the mop marks near the tub's caulk line beside the toilet. It's happened to me, as well--mopping an area that hasn't been swept and finding a line of dirt, hair, etc left behind. Unfortunately, I noticed a faint odor of old urine when using the bathroom from the time we arrived until we left. Other than those two issues, our stay was nice.

Checked in after a last minute family event. The property was clean, the rooms were spacious & it’s close to food, so that is a plus. If I had one complaint, it would be the parking situation. There doesn’t seem to be enough spots. I’d absolutely stay here again, but if you don’t get there early, who knows where you’d have to park.

The room was dirty and the sheets were so wrinkled and smelled we were not sure the sheets were changed. The breakfast was mediocre and the parking lot and landscaping was covered in leaves and the shrubs were overgrown and not trimmed. Positively far from being a 9.0 rating that we used for or decision to stay. Very disappointed with Expedia’s rating.

Breakfast was fresh but areas weren’t kept clean enough for future visitors. I.e. spills wiped up, super clean, clean tables. This needs attention especially on busy weekends.

We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to an event. The lobby and dining areas are inviting, but we were not happy with our room. The air unit is right next to the bed so blows directly on it. Also the carpet was not clean.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Shops and restaurants are literally within walking distance, and the hotel itself was nice and clean. Not to mention, the staff were wonderful. This is a great place to stay, and we would highly recommend it.

The room had not been cleaned. There was a large pile of hair clippings under the sink and hair on the toilet. It was the grossest hotel room I have ever stayed at. Do not stay here. Completely unhygienic.

I asked at the front desk if you could here road noise from the Interstate Highway right across from the hotel and she said definitely not the rooms are sound proof, well we were up all night listening to major road noise all night long. We were very tired from driving all day and we had another long trip ahead of his with very little sleep. The side of the Hotel the faces the Interstate is definitely not sound proof!

Breakfast was amazing and the both night and day shifts of the front desk were great! The only negative was one of our window's blackout shades was missing.

The bathroom had no sink inside the bathroom. No tissues or napkins in the room. Only one night table on one side of the bed. Spouse could not have light and did not have access to charge phone on their side, only on one side. It would have been nice to have a warm blanket.

The room was clean, the heating and air device was efficient, a little noisy but not so that it disturbed television watching. My check-in was a bump because I was assigned a room that someone had already rented and apparently it was not cleared out of the system. This was the second time I have stayed at a Comfort Inn and this has happened. The last time I was the victim of someone walking in on me with a key from the front desk. Something about this system is flawed and should be corrected. Two different renters should never be able to be assigned to the same room.

We had a suite with 2 king beds...loved it! I wish I could stay longer. Bathroom is smaller than expected for such a big room, but its still nice. Hotel is close to all sorts of places to eat: fast food and sit down restaurants. Mexican restaurant within walking distance with excellent margaritas. There is even a car wash across the street. Excellent stay!! Definitely recommend.

This hotel was very tired, not very clean

There were dirty cut tips full of ears wax in the bathroom trashcan along with chew. It was gross. The toilet ran constantly. The microwave door was broken and wouldn’t shut all the way so the microwave wouldn’t work at all. I tried to call the front desk to report some of these issues and request linens for the pull out sofa which also weren’t provided but the phone also didn’t work at all. The mattress on the pull out bed was clearly super old and the springs were sticking out which I half expected. The actual bed however was not comfortable either and the pillows were not comfortable. Woke up with my neck hurting. Not pleased at all with my stay here. The only good thing was the breakfast.

Only one desk staff member was checking people in even though there was a line; that staff member insisted I sign a document with my address incorrect. When I stated my discomfort, he said he could only fix it after I signed. The room was good with the exception of the shades, which were not functioning properly, and the lack of furniture in shower/toilet area to set toiletries on. People may want to be aware that there is a bright light outside the window that shines into the room at night.

Rooms are clean and we especially enjoy the Shower tub. Always clean with plenty of quick hot water. The breakfast sausage gravy has gotten miuch better and thicker. We love the spacious suites and beds are so comfortable.... Thank you.

SPOTLESS room, comfortable, quiet, convenient to where I needed to be. I had breakfast plans so can’t say anything about that option except the coffee I took with me was fine.

I just booked and try to canceling, due to health issues. Hotel team not responding the calls and tried with chat. They are not ready to listen . I tried multiple times, finally picked the calls and told us do not book via other apps and not ready to cancel it. I tried with hotels customer care, they said we don’t have option and only hotel management decides. Both teams helpless.😂

There should be a clear fee charge if you have a pet that has to be paid up front. There was nothing stating I had to pay a $35 charge to have a dog. Once I went digging, I saw that, but it wouldn’t allow me to add that when booking and it had to be paid before allowing us to check in. I didn’t like being blindsided by an additional $35 charge.

Although the beds were made up, the sheets on the bed had hair and dirt or crumbs on it. It was obvious that they had not been changed. We checked out immediately and requested a refund. The refund was refused by the hotel and Expedia. We will not book with this hotel chain ever again.

This place was rated Exceptional 9.0 and I have no idea how. This place is a dump and gives Super8 Motel vibes. Ten mins after checking in I left. Front desk was rude and dismissive. Huge pile of dirty towels were on the floor of my room when I checked in. TV did not work and when I reported to front desk they could not have cared less. When they saw me leaving with my suitcase shortly there after then the clerk went running to my room claiming he was on his way to fix the TV. I told him this is not at all what was advertised and looked nothing like the pictures. I did not feel safe and so I was leaving. He shrugged his shoulders and replied whatever and went back to the front desk. This motel is dirty and old and run by people who don’t care. Do not stay here unless you’re absolutely desperate and there’s nowhere else to stay.

Inside of the hotel and my room is nice and clean, The person who helped me at the front desk was very helpful and courteous.

The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and even appeared to have independent coils. The only complaint would be the very short chairs in the area available next to the breakfast area to eat. I am 6 ft tall and still had to reach up to get my food. I'm sure these short chairs were placed there intentionally to keep guests moving and not linger. Otherwise, a fine hotel facility.

We got a room with two full size beds instead. The website said an indoor pool (kids were excited for this.) No indoor pool. The outdoor pool was closed bc they had neglected to clean it. The attendant at the front said they felt it was easier to close the pool than to clean it. The information inside the hotel said it had two pools. One seasonal and one all year. This was false. There was only a he one outdoor pool that they didn’t feel like cleaning. Breakfast was decent at least. No sheets for the pull out bed. Had to go get them myself.

The presence of a roach in any guest room is unacceptable for a hotel. I had to leave and find another place to stay because I didn’t feel comfortable remaining there. I hope management takes this issue seriously and improves cleanliness and pest control for future guests.

We brought it to the attention of the staff member on duty at the front desk. He offered us a new room that had a pungent odor, then became belligerent when we asked for a new sofa bed or a different room that didn't smell badly. It was a surprising set of circumstances that the room was so bad AND the service was so bad. We packed our bags and got out of there without sleeping there for a single night! Bless your heart of you stay there and get a good room that doesn't have mold and that doesn't have a pungent odor, or some other problem! But that was our experience. Lastly, before the mgr, gets on this platform and refutes everything we say, please note, we took pictures and video. Expedia responded in a very supportive and professional manner. The hotel staff did not (including the manager we spoke to).

This hotel is definitely a "get what you pay for" place. It was inexpensive and clean enough for the quick amount of time that I was there. The breakfast was awful. They had runny sausage gravy (like water thin), and what looked like fried eggs, but they were all stuck together and rubbery and the sausage had a weird taste. I pretty much gave up at that point, and decided on a bowl of cereal, and even that was stale. They did have waffles and that actually saved the day. The waffle iron and batter was great. I normally like protein at breakfast, but at least I didn't starve, and had a great fresh waffle. Maybe they should just stick with that!

For the 6 days I was there, I asked the front desk to have our linen change on the bed 2 times and never once happened.

For a Comfort Suites, it’s about as good as it gets. The breakfast was plentiful and well stocked. The room was large and overall clean although it is starting to look tired with some carpet damage. The highway noise is a bit distracting however that’s why we chose the property to easily stop on a road trip.

We had a nice overall experience at this hotel. I would say it is a little outdated and not as many amenities as I would have liked to have while we were there. However, it met all the needs that we had and were able to get an early check in. Grateful for the manager on duty that got us in quickly so we could shower and get ready for a wedding in town.

the room was sooo big! ac worked great. If you are in a room facing the highway(through the trees) - you will hear the loud motorcycles...I used a fan so it didnt bother me at all though. free wifi good for zoom calls also

They canceled my reservation without my knowledge so I had to find another place to stay at the last minute when I arrived. When I reported it to Expedia they told me the issue was on the hotel's end. (The app was still telling me my reservation was valid!)

Great place to stay!

I had 2 holds for my one night stay placed on my card. I did tell the clerk at check in that my card already had a hold placed but she said I still had to swipe my card at check in and another hold was placed. The next morning the front desk clerk did confirm she shouldn’t have done it that way and one of the holds will come off but it will take several days. Aside from that, the room was clean except for the toilet in the bathroom smelled like urine- not like it had been cleaned. Room was facing the highway so could hear all the traffic. Hotel offers hot breakfast- it was basic/standard. Overall- ok for a nights stay.

Carpet disgusting, limited breakfast items and condiments, lotion bottle empty, pool looked green. Overall just not a great stay.

Also the cooling in the room switched back and forth from 75 (warm and stuffy) and 65 (very chilly). We tried to adjust it but were not successful. I wanted to like this place as it was in a great location, but there were too many little things just off. The staff was very helpful when we asked for items.

There were stains on the floor, the couch was clearly worn down. Other than that, everything was good. The space was great, the place was quiet, the food was hot and fresh. I can't complain, especially for the price. The staff was friendly.

Great area, easy access to restaurants and shopping. Rooms were nice and clean, looked like it was recently renovated. Breakfast was very basic. Otherwise a great stay.

Places to seat within walking distance. Interstate close as well. Found used face cloth in the shower, and there was hair on the sink area and celling of the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, room was spacious and the AC worked great.

The location was very convenient. It was close to shops & stores. Also, close to the highway. All in all, it everything was good.

There were lots of restaurants. Convenient to highways. Hotel looked clean in lobby. Elevator could use a touchup. Room was clean and pleasant but one towel wasn't clean and some stains on rug floor. Free Breakfast was nice. There wasn't any fruit, which another lady complained about. The muffins didn't seem like they were baked enough. The exercise room was small with no water in the water bottle and no wipes to clean the equipment before and after use. Pool was nice and saw a robot cleaning the pool. Overall the room was nice though.

Very nice hotel, rooms are well appointed. Furniture, carpet, and deco look new. The structure of the hotel is older, but certainly not "old". The breakfast was well done with a lot of seating/tables. Parking was tight--if you return late, you will have to park on the street, not in the actual lot. That was fine, the hotel is not on the main road.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Often the coffee was empty in the morning during breakfast service and coffee cream not available. My best suggestion is to have grab bars in all showers. My mother and sister are handicap and the bar is essential. Unfortunately, upon arrival no handicap rooms were available, although a shower chair was supplied

Our room on the 4th floor smelled extremely bad. Could not even sleep. Also carpet very damp. When I told the manager at checkout, did not even care . I would never stay here again.

Definitely needs updated and rooms need a dehumidifier. Musty and rooms are in need of repairs. They moved us from the first room which had a mold smell to another which was just slightly better. Wouldn’t recommend.

The beds in the rooms were really comfortable and roomy.

Room was okay. The number on the ac were dead so we could never see what temp we had it set. Few stains on the carpet but room was nice.

Toilet lid had a large round stain. Noticed a mound of bugs above in the perspex ceiling in the elevator. Missed buffet on the weekend, which ended at 9:30. Would have been nice for it to close at 10am on weekends.

Room was large and comfortable. Service was excellent. Parking was ample. Overall a decent place to stay. If I was to complain about something, I felt the carpet was due for a good cleaning. I would stay there again.

Outside, front entrance area, needed trash p/u. Great property and value. Only issue - coffee at brkfst could be warmer. When a pumped from container, even when frrsh, came out luke warm.

Perfect location for our needs.

We stayed overnight after our vacation to Myrtle Beach. Man oh man, what a restful night; I sincerely mean it! The bed was so comfortable we did not want to get out of bed the following morning! The hotel is in a very safe location. Also, there are eateries directly across from the hotel - Chik Fil a, Dunkin Donuts, etc. - and nearby. The breakfast was okay. However, we were grateful to sit down to have a bite to eat and a beverage to drink before we checked out. We will definitely return to this hotel when visiting the area. Definitely recommend.

Great stay, Comfy, clean and very great staff. The breakfast was not very good. Sausage had cold grease on it and the eggs, not good. But everything else was good.

I reserved a room with 2 queen beds but they were smaller than a full size bed. Very tight for 2 people to sleep comfortably. We had a few broken things in our room and the hair conditioner was empty. Just a few details that needed a bit more attention.

Check in was smooth and the room was huge. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

The biggest reasons for a low overall rating is there were small blood stains on the comforter and a piece of tape stuck to the bottom sheet. See pictures below. I did not mention this to hotel personnel but had planned to tell Hotels.com and Comfort Inn and Suites. The pool was clean and refreshing but all the lounge chairs were unusable due to torn fabric. We will not stay at this hotel again and are frequent visitors to this area.

Well if you need a place to take a rest it's ok. But property is in need of upgrades. Place is situated well near birksdale village shops and restaurants. But like I said pool cloudy chairs broken two umbrellas where you could have 4. With the heat index being what it is you need cover. Found a pair of dirty sneakers inside a dresser draw. Not good. But the bed was comfortable and air conditioner worked well. Didn't have breakfast but can't imagine it's any better considering.

Pleasant surprise as to comfort of our room. It was very spacious first of all. Beds were comfortable, plenty of drawers and closet space. there was a small fridge, microwave. Bathroom had spacious countertop for personal toiletries. It does need some up to date sprucing up. Breakfast was ok with hot foods, and variety of non hot choices. There was a pool that was great for cooling off after a long day. The gym has a couple of cardio machines.

Everything was fine; however, there was no hand soap in the room.

There were a few minor issues that needed attention but it was a good place to lay your head. One of the front desk gentleman was exceptionally kind and helpful while the others were lukewarm at best. I would stay there again, it was close to everything by car

Breakfast was fine but didn’t offer any gluten or dairy free alternatives. So it was slim pickings. Thankfully the coffee was good, it was fairly clear and it was quiet.

Good for a one night stay passing through. The rooms were big and pretty nice. Pool area and furniture definitely need some attention. For the price, we were satisfied.

Pool was not open. Room was cramped with furniture. Could not work at the desk because of its location. Pullout couch was worn and cushions did not fit properly. Mattresses on the beds were very comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate. Clean hotel.
