Although I was only there for an overnight stay my room was very clean and the hotel was extremely quite and comfortable. Unfortunately I had to leave the hotel quite early and couldn't experience the breakfast I was very pleased with my stay. Since I have to be at MD Anderson often I will definetly be staying at this location every time.

Okay the good, the bad and the ugly...it is an older hotel and that is okay with me...it is next to the highway but we couldn't hear traffic in our room on the 17th floor...the lobby is nice but like every thing it needs an investment in updating it...the room we booked was huge...Jr suite with a living room and bar...the bed was big and the mattress very comfortable...the bathroom is very dated with an odd square tub/ shower combo...the toilet is very very low so if you are handicapped definitely do not choose a regular room...I am in the hospital so my caregived and dog are happy with the hotel...it is close to all the hospitals including MD ANDERSON...The front desk clerk was very helpful today when I needed to extend the reservation without paying the dog fee a second time ($75.00 for length of stay). If this is your honeymoon stay elsewhere. If you are here for medical reasons this hotel checks all the boxes ( my insurance covers $125.00 per night so I have minimal out-of-pocket costs ).

My experience from the week prior was way different than the week before. This visit I was in another building other than building 1. It was horrible! I don’t know if it was due to the raining, but the lobby had a “wet mop” smell the entire stay. The building I stayed in this time was very old and needs significant renovations-especially the bathroom. The room doors in that building did a hard, quick, extremely loud shut upon entry/exiting the room. This made it difficult for me to sleep through the night. Then it was a repeat of the sounds early the next morning. The pleasant parts were still the hotel staff, but unfortunately even their amazing personalities are not enough to make me stay there again for a third time. The first stay in Building 1 made me believe that the other buildings were decent enough and found that they definitely are not.

The shower head broke and the toilet handle didn't work properly. So it was water all over the floor from the shower and the toilet ran all night. They offered to move me because they had no maintenance workers. It was late and I didn't want to have to pack up all our stuff.

It was close to the stock show Well, there was people sitting out front when you came in charging people to park one that was $25. The next night was $50 a parking spot. Well customers of the hotel couldn’t find a place to park cause people was parking everywhere. I drove around for over an hour one that trying to get a parking place and finally had to park on the grass. Complaining to the hotel staff and call corporate office and all they want to do was give me some points. I told him I’d never stay there again. I didn’t need their points.

The restaurant was only open a few times during our stay Thursday - Saturday. A large group of us were there for a convention. The staff was nice. The facility needs updating really badly. The bar would be closed randomly as well. Pretty annoying when you fly in and don’t feel like going anywhere bc you have a work event for the convention. The bathrooms were odd, they had acoustic tile ceilings from the 1980s.

Entrance to hotel is beautiful. The staff was nice. My room was extremely cold and I was unable to turn on heat to warm the room due to the chiller being set according to front desk. They were accommodating and finding me a room at their sister hotel next door (Wingate) which was not as pleasant and the room was one that I chose. I paid for the Executive King Suite and it wasn’t at all what I expected considering I got moved to another hotel. Also, they didn’t have towels and I had to wait until the morning to get towels. Will Not be booking there again.

The parking was easy and secure. We had a hard time getting in our room, the card didn't work on the door that was marked with the room number, our neighbor had to tell us to try the door that wasn't marked because it was a suite. That was the only door that it worked. The room smelled of mold. Other than that it was good.

Angela at the front desk was the only bright spot in our stay!! The parking attendants were rude and we had a reservation!! It was like we were trying to take advantage of the parking. I showed them our reservation on Expedia and they were still rude. The front desk had two people checking in during a peak time. At one point one had to leave to correct a housekeeping issue which should have been addressed by housekeeping. Our room was down dirty hallways and hard to find. Went to the rodeo and then came back to find we had mold in our bathroom ceiling. Too late to change rooms! Also we called for an extra blanket and they never came. The next morning we went to breakfast off property and came back to check out and the parking attendant was again rude and told us our parking sticker had expired. I was under the impression we had till we checked out to use the parking lot!!! I know you have a captured audience due to being right next to rodeo but I will not be giving you guys any more of my money!

Proximity to NRG Stadium Needs work, outdated, older fixtures, bathroom not meant for taller people. A/C ran cold and then hot, beds were lumpy and like they have been there for awhile. To have a hotel this close to NRG and running $300+ a night to update and upgrade the facilities should be nothing. It just goes to show the money is spent elsewhere. Mold and mildew should not be the first thing you smell walking in the lobby or in your room. Carpet!!! We’re in 2026 and far more advance in decor than this. We met a gentleman on the elevator( when it actually worked) who stated that the hotel has been the same since he was 9! 9!!! And he was an older gentleman in his 50’s. This is just a poor representation of the Wyndham brand.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, bar downstairs, free wifi. 1. Clocks in the room showed the wrong time. 2. I had asked at the lobby if they have any toothbrushes, and was told that they would bring one to my room. After waiting a few hours I went downstairs again and was then told that no toothbrushes were available for purchase. 3. No free breakfast is outrageous. 2. $40/night for parking is likewise outrageous.

The “mandatory security deposit” that was requested AFTER booking was later explained to be for PARKING at the hotel, which meant my “security” deposit would NOT be refunded to me as another employee explained when it was paid for. From trashy service, employees with horrible attitudes, hidden fees, and customer service from the bottom of a hell hole, this experience was the worst and I do not recommend.

Location is excellent for attending events at NRG Stadium. Hotel condition is poor. The room was spacious, but outdated. Everything seemed really old. No refrigerator or microwave. The trash can in the living area had trash and a big wad of hair in it. The top bedspread had a very visible stain. The bar was a joke, out of many things including food and alcohol. I ordered an Old Fashion, and they were out of many bourbons, gave me two choices. I picked one and they upcharged me $8, so I paid $20 for a three ounce drink, served in a small plastic cup.

ThI lobby is beautiful and the staff are amazing. When I was waiting to check in several people commented how nice the lobby is. The room and hallways weren’t very nice. There were a lot of, not broken but damaged sprinkler heads, exit signs and ceiling tiles in the hallways. My room’s A/C went out and didn’t blow all night. Sleeping was miserable. I believe that some of the advertising for the hotel needs to be updated. It said that there was a continental breakfast. There wasn’t one that I saw. There was a $19 per person breakfast buffet that was available. It also said that parking was available at the hotel. There was parking for $40 a car per night. But the location was great. We were able to walk to NRG park for the rodeo. So that’s awesome. Would I stay here again? Maybe if I was going to the rodeo. You can’t be the location. Hopefully the A/C will work next time.

Everything is ancient and completely falling apart. To make matters worse, the air conditioning is a joke—it barely works, leaving the room uncomfortable and stuffy. Let’s be real: the only reason this place even exists is because it’s near NRG Stadium. They clearly think that proximity justifies charging ridiculous prices for a sub-par, outdated room. You’re paying for a location and getting zero quality in return. This was my first time staying here, and it will absolutely be my last! Save your money and stay literally anywhere else.

We normally stay at Hilton brand hotels, but decided to try Wyndham. To start with, the rooms looked nothing like the pictures that were advertised. The hotel had an overpowering weed smell - so much for a smoke-free policy. The elevator didn’t work and so my wife and I, along with our two sons, had to haul our luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. The TV reception looked like 1980’s antenna quality. And the AC was not working despite being on for over 3 hours. We were also charged $40 for parking despite advertising $20. Because the hotel was in horrible condition, we decided to check out the same day we checked in and just drive home. To make matters worse, when we checked out, the hotel charged us an additional $131 and they could not explain why. I’m 48 and this was one of the worst stays, if not the worst, our family has ever experienced.

The hotel is outdated! My first rooms AC did not work and I had to walk far just to exchange the room. They make you pay for parking and it’s not listing on the booking site. I received a charge for a purchase that I never did and was told I had to wait until the weekday to get it resolved. The only thing that’s good about this hotel is it is walking distance from NRG.

We didn't actually get to stay at this hotel. When we arrived after a day of driving, we were told the hotel had lost power and that their sister hotel "might" have a room for us. Thankfully they did, but the sister hotel was awful. While we can't fault the hotel for the power loss, it is frustrating that they made no attempt to contact us to inform us of the situation so we could make alternative arrangements.

The staff was nice however the rooms are extremely outdated and damaged. I usually don’t complain, but when we attempted to turn the AC on, it was only blowing air but no cold air. I called the front desk and was told the AC units are off in the entire building because it’s no longer summer. I was shocked at the reply, as we are in Houston TX and weather is unpredictable. I was offered to move to another room with a balcony and leave the door open. I denied the offer due to having small children and putting them at risk of mosquito bites. Will not be staying here again.

When provided keys and room number, we were put in a building in the back of the property. Door to building would not lock, room was in extremely poor condition, there were bugs and a ton of people with access since they offer paid parking for events. We ended up not staying and just headed back home three hours away.

Nothing good to say about this place. It’s old and run down. No ice makers worked, the room was unbearably hot, the elevator in building 2 felt and sounded like it was going to fall and there was no inspection certificate posted. It’s musty and they cover up the smell with what smells like dead grandma scent. They sent me to the bar to get ice since all ice machines were broken. The ice from the bar was coated in what I hope was just tajin…. That’s what I told myself it was anyways. (Picture attached, I hope it shows) Nothing about my stay was good from the parking lot, the buildings, the elevator, the room, the lack of good AC, the gross room…. Nothing was good. I didn’t feel safe so I wedged the chair under the door handle and covered the giant gaps under the door with towels. Don’t do it! Stay elsewhere!

The rooms are outdated. The hotel does not accept cash, which forced me to scramble to find an ATM at 4 a.m. to deposit cash into my card, even though the rooms were already paid for. The so-called “complimentary breakfast” was nothing more than juice and cookies, which is misleading at best. While the staff was polite and the property appeared clean, the lack of basic amenities and overall experience was extremely disappointing. I would not be booking here again.

The hotel was continently located across the street from NRG, even being in walkable distance. This was great for our weekend as we did not have to Uber and we were able to get back to our hotel quickly with no issues. The hotel did not meet my standard, the hallways smelled like marijuana and our room smelled like mildew. The tile in the bathroom ceiling had holes in it. We also had to pay to park because of “special events.” All though it did not my standards, the staff was friendly and very helpful.

They allowed us to check in early, there is a $35 fee. Also Expedia please add there is a $100 incidental deposit requirement. We were unaware of this until check it, it has since then been refunded. My only thing is the bathrooms could use a little renovation. Maybe it’s because we’re not used to humidity but the room felt humid all the time. However if you need a few days to lay your head down to attend events at NRG this is a great option!

First I noticed that the day of my stay rooms were priced significantly lower than when I initially booked, like $400 lower but whatever. The first room we stayed in, the water wouldn’t get hot in the shower, and one of the drop ceiling tiles were missing above the shower and that’s honestly gross. They ended up moving our room to the other side of the building where it was honestly worse. That entire side of the building smelled moist and moldy. Ceiling tiles were rusty and there were cracks all over the ceiling in the “new” room. On the last night, in the middle of the night, the curtain detached from the ceiling screw or whatever and scared the crap out of us! If I had known it’d be like this I definitely wouldn’t have booked! I chose this room out of convenience because I was here for the concert and I’m sure they knew people would, which is why they hiked up the prices knowing that the property wasn’t hardly worth the cost.

To see what I saw. We waited in line in a HOT lobby for 2 hours. I walked into my HOT hotel room at 5:57. We changed and tried to freshen, but there was no time. I spent 1200$ on concert tickets and missed the opening act of the concert. They have concerts here all the time and this hotel was NOT prepared. We returned from the concert around 12am to a HOT hotel room. I called the desk and they said they would send someone, they never did. This hotel is ancient but we stay there anyway because of convenience. We will never stay here again. This was an absolutely horrendous stay. They sell parking to concert goers, so guests have to drive around praying to find a spot.

There was no A/C is part of the lobby in which we had to wait in line to check in. Our room would not cool down, it was tolerable but something was definitely wrong with the a/c. The next morning the shower had no hot water and would cut on/off.

The property is within walking distance to the NRG Stadium. I had two rooms and wanted to use a different card and was told I couldn't because I had already paid but when he needed my card for the "deposit" he ran the card for the full amount for both rooms. Then our rooms were in two different buildings and when I questioned it, he said, "we are busy". I booked these rooms 6 months ago. If you reserve multiple rooms, they should at least be on the same floor. The rooms were very "musty" smelling. The whole place could use an overhaul. The site also said free parking but when we got there, we were charged $30 because there was a function. Overall, I will not stay here again.

The only reason it gets one star is because of how close it was to the venue. The check in took over an hour. Which you’d think the hotel would’ve prepared for- being that such a huge artist was playing .5 mile down the road. They were allowing 3rd party to charge for parking. So while I paid SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS to stay at this bottom of the barrel hotel, we couldn’t even find a decent parking spot. And then the fact we had to pay $30 additional at check in for parking. The hotel was so trashy. Never ever ever again.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to NRG stadium. However the property needs SEVERE upgrading for the pricing they charge. Our room had a broken toilet flushing mechanism and a very slow draining sink. We called the front desk for assistance but they did nothing to fix it. They offer nothing complimentary. They charge $30 p/car for parking. And allow event parking on the property. The staff looks like they are hard workers but severely under paid. Pool looked clean.

For staying by NRG stadium is the only reason to stay at this hotel! From old outdated rooms, no hot water, no water pressure, mold on the old drop down ceiling tiles. The toilet took a year to flush, the bar never had any wine, everything was we ate out of it for two days. The restaurant which it is not was breakfast for $20 a person for nothing, I got charged and only eat meat for 3 sausage and a few bacon pieces. Total ripoff! Took us over an hour just to check into our room, no towels at the pool! The entire hotel is outdated and charging $40 to concert goers leaving us hotel guests no where to park! $500 for two days and no food nearby, the ones nearby were a 3 hour wait. Barely any food at the bar which of course was out of everything. Bring your own wine ladies, they had no good wines left on a Friday and out the whole weekend. Poorly ran hotel!
