A quiet oasis in Houston .

The hotel was beautiful, rooms nicely appointed, the pool was nice, the workout facilities beautiful, and the grounds were lovely! Spa is in its own beautiful building. Location is great! We would stay here again!

The Houstonian property and grounds are gorgeous and have amazing amenities. We visited the spa and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, massages, facials, and pool. We had snacks poolside in between appointments as well and the our services were delightful. The restaurant on site is a wonderful addition, the food is delicious and our waitress was super attentive. We always enjoy our stay here and look forward to returning soon!

Impeccable! The hotel staff was incredibly polite and professional, making you feel like a VIP. They accommodated every request, no matter how small. The gym facility itself was excellent, and the spa was simply wonderful.

Is hard to find parking if you do self parking the only available parking on the lowest level but sewage smell is really bad

The Hotel stay includes access to the separate health club. The Trellis spa is a separate business— they offer excellent services but not access to health club. If you book a hotel stay note that you can go to Trellis spa only if you are getting services there. The website does not make this clear.

Beautiful property and loved it was sp close to everything!

From the moment we arrived on property everything was done with excellence and care. The property itself is other-worldly, in the best sense. The scenery is lovely, the staff service is exceptional, the amenities are perfectly curated making The Houstonian a must-have on your travels to Houston.

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 kids. The only issue I can think about is the sand around the pool (I think this was a temporary issue). Beautiful place, very quiet and relaxing. The room was very clean! The staff was great! The restaurant is nice too. Will go back!

Everything was great until about 3 AM there was a group of (possibly intoxicated) guests that walked through the room hallways yelling loudly. I notified the front desk as I was checking out and their response was to ask if I called security? As if we were the only sleeping people to be woken up by this. Then they minimized by explaining that it was Valentine’s Day and there was a wedding that the hotel hosted that night. Not sure what I expected, honestly, but it felt like something I would experience and hear at a chain rather than a property that cost this much for room and dining. Other than this, the Houstonian has always been a great stay.

My stay at the Houstonian was nothing less than amazing! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, and the experience was worth every penny. The cherry on top was the cake and champagne that was waiting in my room along with a personalized birthday card. I would definitely stay here again!

All the staff were helpful, professional, courteous. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are good size. They had a lot of events at the hotel during our stay so parking was a bit chaotic when we arrived. We stayed only one night for girls “spa day” and Trellis spa was fantastic. It was definitely a splurge to go there but I never felt so pampered!

This may be my new favorite hotel! It has it all and you would never believe that you are in the middle of Houston. What an oasis this place is. We enjoyed the pools, our beautiful room, and the restaurants. What a great place to stay. I will not stay anywhere else in Houston ever again!

Beautiful grounds and incredibly peaceful although being super convenient to everything Houston has to offer. Onsite restaurant is outstanding, as is the spa. Best facial I’ve ever had from Christina! All staff were excellent! We will be back.

This is a beautiful facility! We loved everything about it. The Houstonian Club is awesome for tennis, fitness and pool for the kids.

Houstonian is a wonderful Hotel...beautiful property, attentive service...great health Club...several pools...feels like being at a resort, yet very accessible to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a wonderful hotel set in an exquisite park/wooded area. The staff is exceptional--especially room service. That being said, the entire staff was always welcoming; the spa is a "must do" experience that excels in luxury. This was my first stay and I hope to stay again. It will definitely be my "go to" for a stay in the Houston area.

The Houstonian is a first class hotel/spa option in the middle of the urban hub of Houston. The hotel has a remote/private feel that is unique in a dense area of Houston. Accomodations are exquisite and the service was top notch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Houstonian for a mini staycation. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff was amazing from the spa to the pool, to the bar and restaurant, and front desk. The food was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable and even with our adjoining door in our room we were not disturbed by our neighbors.

Workout facilities were exceptional

Property is lovely, so are the amenities. The rooms and main lobby are ready for a facelift, but would stay again if in town.

The grounds snd the hotel itself were beautiful. Our room was lovely with a secluded woodsy view. The bed was comfortable, but the air conditioning did not work properly and we could not get the temp below 78 for sleeping. I did not sleep well because it was too warm. The staff was friendly. Some of the food at the restaurant was good but the menu was limited and quite pricy. This was a special trip for us-

Very convenient to stay on the premises and enjoy the Tribute wine room, a picnic under the lighted oak, and the club amenities. Meals were delicious. Edward serving us in the wine room was fantastic! So knowledgeable and personable! Kudos to Chris and Mark at the front desk too.

Excellent hotel, classy

Even though I had a map of the property, it was very confusing to find the pool and other amenities. We parked in self parking and walked around for 20 minutes before we found someone to show us where the elevator eas to get to our room. We ended up on a walking path and was on the outside of the property both times. Also, we got there on a Sunday at 6 and there are no vending machines on property, so the only drinks we could find were at the health club that is on the other side of the pools, which was way across the property from where our room was. Over all, it’s a nice hotel, but confusing layout for first time guests.

We had an amazing week at the hotel and fitness club. They have renovated the rooms and have brand new bathrooms that are fabulous!!

Of the three pools, the “adult” pool was hardly peace and quiet with child swimming lessons taking place. Not a very well thought out plan of the Houstonian.

The property is gorgeous. It was built in 1979, but everything has been updated with new finishes and the place was immaculate! The staff was over and above friendly and helpful. You will love it!

Great service, quiet place and great spa

I’ve stayed here many times. It’s an older hotel. The a/c wouldn’t allow you to set less than 65. I sleep colder. It made loud noises when it started up and shut down. I was awake off and on all night. The facility is amazing otherwise. I left there exhausted.

Bring your pillow and ear plugs for a good night sleep

An oasis of relaxation. Good bar, good restaurant, great workout facilities, good location. Our go-to hotel.

The amenities of the club. Being able to swim in 30 degree weather was great.

I just love this hotel and entire facility. It’s so comfortable and homey feeling. I really enjoy walking on the outdoor track and the fitness center is amazing. Sit down breakfast is highly recommended!

Beautiful, classy property. Great pool. Great attentive service. Staff seemed to always know my name. Good room service (not a lot of places still do real room service since the COVID-19 restrictions. Pool and basketball court require reservations, which helps keep them from being overcrowded. Wasn't hard at all to get a time for the pool. Reasonable price for the luxury. Will come again!
