I think because we use orbits, she put me in a room with no light. The lights on the wall did not work. The TV did not work and she still wanted to keep me in there then she moved me to a new room. The bed must be 50 years old horrible and microwave didn’t work and she was pissed that she had to bring me a new one with a huge attitude. The property has beer bottles everywhere people walking around and not safe at all. It’s disgusting outside. Beware of this place. Red Roof Inn should be ashamed of themselves.

We stay in places like this all the time. If we come to Houston again, we would definitely stay here again. I just get so frustrated with pools at places like this. They're always filled with pee. You can't see past your hand in front of your face when you look underwater with goggles on. Other than that, the beds were fulls size but super comfortable and everything was very clean. Also, it's next door to Denny's, walking distance to a famous Mexican restaurant, and really close to Kroger's. Also, for going to and from Astro games, it is literally a straight shot for only 5 mins. So easy.

The sheets were actually dirty, but because I checked in so late I slept on one side. I also found a dirty towel in the bathroom sink when I walked. There was no remote control for the TV in the room and when I asked for one turns out the TV was not even working. The African American staff was so rude and judgmental towards me. And the in the main hallway was not even working. Then when I gave a 1 rating the same lady at the front desk came confronted me about it like I did her wrong. First of all, she was not supposed to confront me like that. Second she didn’t really want to know why to improve the quality of the business.

Upon checking in, I was given a room that contain gnats, Dirty bed, a hole in the ceiling, damage floor tiles mold, a dirty tub I raised my concern with the front desk, and I was given another room with no remote for the television, a nonworking television, and a roach infestation I woke up at 4 AM in the morning with a roach, crawling on my arm and then I left. Absolutely horrible

Stayed one night and my Car got broken into and had to call the police. The staff did not seem to are at all and when asked if they had camera footage they said the cameras don't work and didn't even care at all. As if they knew who did it . Police could not help since there was no camera footage at all

They need to control the people that live there. 2 3 o clock u hear them outside and it wakes up. They need more security camera or just security itself. If u can’t park there for people open tool boxes in/on ur truck there’s a big problem. Lucky there was not stolen.

Laundry service is onky for towels. My bedding was the same for 4 days and the room smelled of smoke. The parking is safe. The service staff try but the system must be letting them down.

First, my room wasn't ready. I requested 2 extra pillows before I arrived and none were provided. I asked front desk over the phone for an extra blanket because the temperature outside dropped and the front desk ignored me. The toilet had to be flushed 3 to 4 times before anything would go down. The floor was filthy because our white socks were black. The shower water was not hot just warm but not warm enough.So it was cold when stepping out of the shower. The premises had several men just hanging out near the parking lot during the day and night. My children and I felt unsafe while coming and going to our room.

The ice machine is busted up cords are stripped out of it and a person who appears to be homeless has their iPad plugged into the outlet and is smoking pot. third day no water, when brought to the attention of the desk, clerk comes down to the room turns the water on it drips out he points to it and says in broken English, their water, what problem? He is met by a neighbor who also does not have water and has a five minute shouting match with him. We mistakenly assumed that there was a continental breakfast what we found was a coffee machine with a handwritten sign taped to it that says what you see, what you get. We stayed three nights. We were never serviced by house cleaning. We cleaned our own room and changed our own linens emptied our own trash. At the entrance to the parking lot is a mobile police station. Are they blue blinking light when you walk across the parking lot a voice tells you to please do not loiter and move along.

There's other cheap hotels in the area that were able to provide me with their policies without attitude due to being asked questions. Red Roof needs new staff. They need to update the policies and then provide fees to consumers upfront instead of waiting for them to check-in and THEN proceeding to demand the security deposit. The Sunday I stayed, I wasn't asked for a deposit. I booked my room with hotels.com and checked in. That night, we found hair in the towels and tried to clean the stained tub, but the dirt stains were still there. It's time to update the towels and tubs. The plumbing also is bad. The toilet would not actually flush down even when not using toilet paper at all. The sink was also clogged. Afterwards, due to accidentally booking the wrong date, we returned to at least give it another try. Wednesday, I came to check-in, and the clerk at the front desk instantly got attitude with me for asking questions about the "Security deposit" I never had to pay previously. She kept cutting me off and even started yelling at me saying she didn't have to answer any of my questions. She then proceeded to call some guy on the phone who I could barely understand. He refused to identify himself, but stated if I wanted to get the key, I needed to pay 50$. I asked where I could find that info again, and neither one of them would tell me where I could see this policy. I never stayed in the room or got my key. I never checked in and I'm waiting for a refund from Wednesday.

Fire alarm in a plastic bag dangling. No shampoo, no hand soap, and no body gel in the bottles. Phone didn’t work. Commode unstable as it was missing the two screws to bolt to the floor. Microwave jammed and had very hard time opening it. No toilet paper. Comforter had holes. Room smelled musty.

The seal under the door was basically nonexistent and bugs came in and out. The AC worked well. The bed was comfortable. This property is located next to a freeway so traffic sounds never stop. I was awakened at 3 AM with a homeless person or vagrant outside talking loudly. It just is not a very nice place to stay. It has a swimming pool outside, but it is floating with garbage and debris on top of the water. The water is filled with algae and is brown. I can understand if they don’t want to use their pool, but they should drain it and keep it clean. It’s just obvious that the owners or Management have given up.

El baño del Lobby fuera de servicio, ruido en la habitación, la tele prendida y en la cama estaba mal tendida como si alguien hubiera estado hay viendo tele. Muchas telarañas con insectos, en los techos humedad que no an trabajado en ella y por eso está muy notoria y por lo mismo está levantado el yeso en el techo. Tengo algunas fotos pero no se pueden subir en donde dice.

I checked in sort of late on February 16th (on a 2 night stay) so it didn’t bother me much that the tv wasn’t working that night, but I called the front desk the next day for someone to come assist me because I tried everything. I was told a message would be left for maintenance in the morning which is when I check out. Rude and unacceptable.

I love staying here because it is convenient for me when I need a getaway, but I HATE roaches..they should not be in the bed with my husband and I! I also understand it is a pet friendly hotel, but housekeeping can do a better job cleaning the floors.

As always it was great and I checked out only later to decide to make another reservation to stay again. Ironically I got the same room and the soap bar I left in the shower the day prior was still there and the soap dispensers remained empty.

I stay here often, but this time was different. My smoke detector was missing in the room, there were lots of roaches in the room, and I had to figure out a way to close and lock the room door.

The hotel is located just off the interstate which is great. However, the facilities are in need of upgrading, stayed for a week -so it wasn't unlivable but the room needed a new paint job, the floorboards were lifting on one side of the room, the shower curtain wouldn't stay open; therefore the water kept getting outside the shower and into the floor. It also needs a deep clean, the beds were clean but you could tell that there are areas or fixtures that either need to be replaced or bleached. Good for a one time but not staying again.

The rooms smelled horribly

Had seen the cockroach 😡 Had booed for 2 days, because of the condition, i had to vacate with in a day

The staff was very rude and unpleasant. Stayed in a room for a week with the power flipping on and off, the TV did not work, no bathroom light, and the kitchenette was not able to be used. The staff was trying to kick me off the property because I had called Expedia to complain and made me remove the complaint or lose my money and leave the property. Then I did a review and they still tried to kick me off the property.

This property is wonderful and they really helped me with all my issues. They were pleasant and welcoming to me and my family. Will definitely stay again at this location and request the kitchenette room as well. Great staff and very friendly. This hotel helped me out when I had a family situation and was so helpful.

First room tv didn't work, they moved us to another room and roaches were every where. We left and came back to roaches all over our food and drinks. In the bathroom, on the wall. I had to put my purse in the fridge so i didn't bring unwanted bugs home. We asked to be moved the next morning and they did. I will never stay there again. Totally disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

checked in and an hour later checked out.. room was full of ticks and we couldnt stay there.. staff said they couldnt return my momey since i had checked already.. will never rent another red roof again!!

It was a noisy area and the sheets are never clean enough even when bringing my own sanitizer spray.

The property was horrible. Parking lot was tore up. And they had homeless and weird like people all over. The rooms was nasty and towels was dirty. It was scary to stay there

The place smelled so bad. I was sick immediately after staying there. Very run down property.

Very noisy rooms. A light sleeper person could no sleep due to the noise. No soap in the dispensers. Staff not very accommodating.

TV was on when we first walked in. Holes in sheets and curtains. Non-smoking took smelled heavily of smoke. Door frame was broken in multiple places. Bugs crawling on bathroom walls. Toilet not stable. And our car was broken into.

They have bed bugs my boyfriend was getting bit all night when we stayed.

Stayed here before but this room was horrible and disgusting. Holes in the walls, dirty comforters and much more. Check in was supposed to be 3 and couldn’t get in until after 6. Checkout was advertised as 12pm we were told to leave by 11. Will not be coming back

Couldn't check in until after 5pm. Had no rooms clean. Tub wasn't clean, lamp was broken, door lock was broken, many burn holes in bedding, room reeked of marijuana (non smoking room). Parking sucks. No back on TV remote. AC didn't cool room. Icing on the cake was running out of toilet paper....do Not stay here

The property was okay

Hotel room was mostly clean, all trash cans outdoors were overflowing and there were drug dealers roaming the property all night

My 1st room stank, sink had something in drain, looked like a rock, smoke detector has no battery. 2nd room reaked of Fabuloso so strongly I did not spend the night there. I slept in my car somewhere else.

Stayed here before and had no issues so I came back

Check was good but door handle was not secure and wobbly. Keys didn’t work so had to get reprogrammed then only one worked. Made reservation for party of four and only one bath towel was in the room so had to go get more towels. Desk attendant advised that she only had two more towels available so we had to share towels. Pillows were very very flat and sink did not drain.

The restroom had mold by the shower

I would not recommend that anyone stays here. They don’t offer any room cleaning whatsoever. They don’t have any towels for guests, no toilet paper. The pool is dirty and “closed”. Staff is rude. Little to no amenities. The rooms trim was falling off. The rooms smelled like smoke and mildew. The flooring is lifting up from the floor, installed incorrectly. There are cockroaches in the rooms. Seemed like criminal activity was taking place. Cigarettes burns/holes all over the bedding. Just and overall terrible experience.

Restroom was not cleaned at all ! Two dead roaches in room chair was dirty from previous guest! Room was hard to find.

The property was misrepresented on Expedia. There were roaches in the microwave and refridgerator. Maintenance was supposed to come with bug spray but never showed up. We were killing bugs for 2 days. There was no hair dryer like it said on the website, no ironing board or iron. They had a freezer in the lobby with microwave food for sale, but refused to give plastic utensils or even a napkin. The ONLY thing good about that place was Joyce, one of the housekeeping staff. She was polite and accommodating with extra towels and coffee packages.
