The staff is very friendly and responsive. We needed some help after check in and they fulfilled all quickly and in a friendly manner. The room was clean. There is no fan. A/C was good but a fan in the sitting area would be good. The bathroom was clean but old looking. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood and it was peaceful and safe. I stayed there with my family for the world cup match. The stadium was very near. We had a peaceful stay and its very value for the money

All I will say is read the reviews on this place as they are 1000% true. It looks like it’s abandoned from the outside to the lobby to the rooms. The “management” is zero help. Hotels.com is zero help. Don’t expect anything but disappointment and disgust.

I specifically requested a downstairs room because I’m a disabled veteran and they told me no problem. However, when I checked in they told me that there were no downstairs rooms available (no elevator either). I struggled up the uneven stairs with my overnight bags and opened the room… it smelled musty and was hot because the AC was off. I dropped my bag turned the AC on and went back to the hospital where my son was in surgery. Got back around 11 pm and the room was still stifling! I called the office and told them, they brought me a key to another room and I moved. Turned the AC on in the second room and after waiting for an hour the room was tolerable but no telling if it was the AC or the fact that it was after dark and I had the door open the whole time. The new room even had crusty something smeared on the floor (I didn’t even want to guess what it was). The fridge was hot and had to put my food and drinks in the freezer to keep them from spoiling…

The room was dirty and had roaches, the front desk lady would not let me speak to a manager about a room change or refund me for the remaining nights, I ended leaving and booking a new stay in another place

No TV, sink was falling off of the wall. There were dust bunnies THICK on the ceiling above the bed where the AC blew air. The walls had cracks in them and the flooring was a laminate that had come apart and was peeling from the edges. The tub was stained a deep yellow and was chipping paint. DISGUSTED and checked out immediately after checking in.

This was the worst hotel I've ever seen, we checked into the hotel and the guy in the office was RUDE and very unhelpful!! The room was awful, no TV in the room, AC didn’t work and the place was filthy!! My mom and I went to dinner and as soon as we got back to the room I was done, we packed up and found a better place to stay. I'm gonna contact hotels.com to try and get my money back!! This hotel needs to be removed from the website!!

It smelled like mold. It was basically clean, but old and neglected. Old flooring, counters, paint. The lamp next to the bed was missing a lightbulb. It had a weird piece of tissue paper stuffed inside the shade, and when I touched it, sheetrock-y powder fell onto the table below. The bathroom faucet dripped. I remember that place being really well, kepted years ago. Now, it just looks like a place for the homeless. And every time i've gone, i've had to switch rooms at least three times. M s a parties is I'll probably still go back because of the prices. The staff was not like they weren't helpful.It's just the place was not well kept

I was at the hotel and ended up going to the hospital to check on him when I got back around 1 AM my key card at work when I went to the front desk to get my key card to work the night person or manager owner. Whoever it was rudely said that I did not pay for my room and would not even call Expedia to verify or to find out what was wrong with it the time I got back in my room it had been about four hours so it was like 5 AM in the morning when another lady I guess the manager‘s wife came and actually looked at the paper or the email that was sent by Expedia nice property horrible staff

Manager was rude. Gave me my key, pointed in the general direction of the unit and said “cable isn’t working” as he walked away. I get to the unit and have to shoulder check the door to unstick it, this is when the door handle inside flys off and into the middle of the room. Later I find out that the only way to use the handle to get out of the room is by holding the latch with my pocket knife. Next up I kill 2 roaches, saw several in the hour I was willing to stay. I go to check out the bathroom and see the sink is stained yellow so I turn on the water to find out that it is also yellow. And another glance over, used condoms in the bathroom trash bag. Luckily had my knife to escape the room, literally.

This hotel is a disgrace. Smelled like rotten food. Bugs on the floor (roaches?) and in the bed (bedbugs for sure). The whole room was dirty. Plus no trash can and only one towel. Avoid at all cost.

I booked this hotel for a quick over-night stay for my husband because he was visiting our son the the ICU in Houston and we live out of town. We had a nicer hotel booked for the next day (when I was arriving); however, my husband left a day earlier and needed something close by for a little shut eye. He checked in to go shower & freshen up, as he planned to go back to the hospital and return to the hotel later to sleep. He showered quickly and left the hotel, as he said that the hotel had a roach infestation. Needless to say, I paid for a shower, not a place for anyone to sleep.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I didn't see any roaches and the room was fairly clean although it is a run down building but you get what you pay for. The cigarette smell was pretty overwhelming.

I was given a room that wasn’t cleaned then was given another room (current room) and door handle is broken to open door. Was stuck in room and couldn’t open the door. Roaches are everywhere and bed is on a steel frame that’s nearly broken. I sat down and the bed collapsed. Never again!

Read reviews after booking . I had no issues stayed in 205 2nd floor all good , definitely can't complain for the price and management very nice. Also easy spot for lyft pick up and drop off .

There was no one to check us in, I paid for booking coverage and you left 4 girls stranded in Houston at 12 am.. highly wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!!

It was the worst motel I ever stayed in. It was dirty, mold on the walls, holes, roaches, dirty. The staff was rude and customer service was non-existant. You need to take them off your list of motels that you offer.

HORRIBLE it’s looked so bad the tub wasn’t fully painted stains everywhere it didn’t look put together or like they really cared about it. Room service only came once in the four days I was there. It barely looked cleaned to even be there. And the first room I was gave looked like someone was living there like how you don’t know who’s in what room. We changed immediately.

Nothing fancy, but the room was very comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no desk or dining table for my laptop. Some plumbing issues in the shower and the blinds in the front window were falling down. But it was a great location. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean.

The moment we opened the door of the room, we saw multiple cockroaches running around inside the suite (both bedroom and sitting area). We immediately went back to the front desk to cancel. We also contacted Expedia for a refund. Expedia told us the clerk acknowledged the incident, but the manager of the hotel refused to give a refund.

It was no pillows on beds no extra covers for sofa bed so 5 people slept in 2 beds with no pillows only 2 towels 1 face cloths . Wild load drug smelling all night long . Bad location bad place to stay all around. Please don't recommend this place tonothers

The lobby was closed due to "Covid". Had to deal with staff through window. It is Feb. 2025. Room was in poor repair (cracked floor tile, missing lamp fixtures, broken window blinds, stains on wall, missing strips of laminate on furniture, sheets with stains).

This hotel has severely declined since I last stayed there in 2020. The material condition is horrible and the customer service was horrible. Pictures and anecdotal accounts available upon request. When I checked in everything was fine I paid for a four day stay ( holidays). I received a call from a mail manager, I guess stating my family had to leave and unless I paid $30 cash every day even after I stated the room holds up to five people they’re only four. I will never ever use this hotel again.

So the phone would just ring and go straight to voicemail. Waited for 45 minutes during a natural disaster trying to get my family safely checked in . They never answered or showed up to speak to me or the Expedia representatives. So I had to take my family to another hotel near by . They also refuse to answer on order to get a refund . This has been the most awful experience ever.

Room was mostly clean, bedspread had some suspicious spots on it. We didn't use it. And the hard tile floors had a cleaning solution residue that was slippery and sticky and unpleasant. Otherwise, a nice room, comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom.

There was something spilled between the beds that didn't get mopped up. There were cockroachs in the kitchen. There was change on one the beds which we let.There was a yellow glove behind towels in bathroom. There is a whitish film in the kitchen cabinets. The whole room stinks like mold and mildew. You get what you pay for.

This property is disgusting. Photos on Travelocity's website are not even close to what the rooms look like. I was afraid to even be in the room as not sure what I might catch. Holes in the walls, 2-inch gap in door entry, bedding and furniture looked like it was picked up off the street. Nothing looked like it had been changed in decades.

The staff was nice, but room was in deplorable conditions. It didn’t feel clean at all. There were flies in the room, the shower was disgusting as well as the kitchenette the walls were dirty too. If you need a place to rest your head it’s okay, but be ready to here your next door neighbors every thing.

Stayed here 1 night to be close to medical center. Its a great location just below Rice Village. Lobby was closed when we checked in about 5 pm so had to check in through window at front desk. Our room door was wide open when we arrived so that was strange. Hotel was quiet and room spacious with bed, sofa and kitchen and working appliances but a broken drawer facing. Ice bucket was dirty with food crumbs. Room door was dirty with what looked like small blood stains. TV stand was failing over and top drawer wouldn't stay closed. Cable TV box was unplugged but we plugged it in but it only worked intermittently. Cigarette burns on bedside shelves. AC worked great and kept room cool. Linens were clean and bed and pillows were comfortable. It was a comfortable stay overall, but place needs a little maintenance. No breakfast offered here but there are plenty of restaurants and stores to buy food in the area.

If you check in late get reafy for a long wait. Took me 15 minutes for the man to come up front. Not with a smile either. I rang the bell 5 times no response. I called. No response. I finally held the hutton down for a minute and finally got a response. Overall convenient not much parking room. For the price good stay.

I have used this property for years, and the family who owns it is really sweet. The room had seen better days but everything worked and it had many amenities. I will go back again.

Terrible experience, bad management. Will not recommend to anyone. Checked in was 2pm, but no rooms available. Mngt says check in is 3pm, so we showed them our booking that says 2pm. Then we waited 30mins because they still cleaning the room. When we finally got our room, we immediately checked the bed and the bed were not clean. We saw hairs of the previous guest on the bed. So gross! We immediately call the mngt to changed our linen. Surely will not coming back! They say you get what you pay for, but this one is unacceptable!!

Found bed bugs in the bed, so I had to throw out all my clothes and buy new one's and got itchy red whelps all over my body...the a/ç didn't cool properly leaving me sweaty and itchy all night long so I got NO sleep!!! The whole building needs to be torn down!!!

This property is unsafe. There were literal mushrooms growing out of the walls and the smell inside the hotel room was moldy. Even though we had the AC on cold blast the entire stay, the hotel felt humid. I would never return to this property. Everything else was fine, but for sure not a safe place to stay at.

The room smelled horrible. But i was prepared with room spray thank God!! The flooring wasnt stuck to floor so was very noisy and uneven. The table wasnt usable as it almoat fell over when we set a cooler on it. There was a big hole in one of the bed covers but the most disturbing was the black mold down the wall under the AC unit

Beautiful room! Very clean! Even a full-size refrigerator! Wow! Cute place. Parking lot was full when I left in the morning, and it’s a little tricky to get out, but all-in-all, terrific location. This is my go-to from now on.

This is the type of Hotel you stay at if you just need a place to sleep. There is no pool or hot tub. My suite had a full size refrigerator, microwave & stove. If you plan to cook something, bring your own cookware and dishes. The Hotel grounds were well maintained. The room wasn't what i'm used to, but it served its purpose.

The exterior of the building needs a little bit of work rooms look like they were redone but are not completed although it did not affect my stay. Shower was good kitchen was good the bathroom sink had no running water though so I had to use the kitchen sink. But the room is very clean and freshly painted.

Could get into my room after my night at an event. Went to the office 3 times to get access card fixed . Maintenance man had to break into my room so we could get into our room .

There were several amenities that were supposed to be provided with our room that were not provided when we checked in. No breakfast, no kitchenette, and no shuttle to the event we were attending which are all reasons why we choose this hotel. It is in desperate need of rennovations. Good part of town but run down hotel and hard to find.

Rooms look clean but dirty feet tell the story. Toilet not well attached to floor, holes in bed spread/comforter, coffee maker barely works, wall heater very noisy, towels old and worn, knobs off on 1/2 the kitchen cabinets, refrigerator OK, microwave OK.

First of all credit card machine wasn't working and lamps in lights were flickering and two didn't even have lamps and toilet had not been flushed.

The dingiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. I still can’t get the musty moldy smell out of my luggage or hair.

It's definitely not the Ritz-Carlton, but the price was good and it's so close to the downtown museum & zoo area. You can tell they make an effort to keep things clean and the full kitchenette was really useful.

This hotel needs upgrade in everything. I would prefer to add more $ to have a nicer cleaner comfortable one. I chose this bec it’s really close to md Anderson w: free shuttle and breakfast but no shuttle nor breakfast nei. It’s good I only have to stay for a night

Our disappointment began as soon as we checked in. The lobby is not open, so we had to stand outside in the heat and wait in someone to help us. Then the girl working ran my card twice. She said that she reversed the first transaction so we’ll see if it comes off or if I have to dispute it. Then we learn that they only offer the shuttle service on weekdays. This was an issue because we had an appointment at MD Anderson that Sunday afternoon. Then, we get up to our room and it was filthy. The sofa had stains all over it, the walls were stained and dirty. My husband turned theSmart TV on and it went directly to a porn app. A lot of the apps on the TV were porn. I’m so glad we didn’t have our grandchildren with us. We we’re trying not to spend so much money on this trip, but we will never make that mistake again.

The only good things I can say about this place are this: 1) it was cheaper (you get what you pay), and 2) it was in a great central location and only minutes away from everything we wanted to see.

Kitchen was actively dripping from roof leak. Entire place smelled of mildew. Dresser was missing drawers. Silverfish in bathtub, roach droppings on mattress. Air conditioner worked, but sounded like tin cans rattled inside. If I had not arrived at 11:30pm I would have found another place.

Two of the electrical outlets in the kitchen didn't work, including the one the fridge was plugged into. This was discovered when maintenance brought in another fridge. There was no bulb in the overhead fixture above the dining table and no slide on the door chain latch. In the bathroom, there was no towel rack and only 1 towel knob; no tub mat or soap dish; and no sink stopper. There were no instructions for the DirectTV/Roku unit, which I couldn't figure out. My wakeup call was 45 minutes early. The room also was noisy; I could hear my neighbors singing until 11 p.m. or later. When I informed the front desk of all these shortcomings at checkout, I got no apology or acknowledgement of any fault. I don't travel much but this was the worst lodging I've ever paid for. It's in dire need of an upgrade; pathetic.
