Location to airport was great, which is why it was selected The fact that there was construction going on well into the evening outside my room until 1:30 am. Absolutely no excuse to put patrons in a wing with construction, heavy construction, 100’ from the room.

The wayfinding to the hotel from the Terminals is horrible if you've never been to this airport before. Essentially, you have to get down to the subway before seeing any helpful signage. When you get off your plane, don't look for signs to the hotel and ignore the ones you see. Just get to the subway and you'll get good signage from there. I think their website assumes everyone has already been to the Houston Airport so they don't help you much. The lobby, restaurant, and bar area look very nice and upscale but the rooms are a just a clean version of a Motel 6. So, it'll do for a night but not much longer than that. The room will not impress you at all but they are clean and not beat up.

Rex in the restaurant was so polite and an excellent server. Overall the staff was very good and helpful. Often you had to wait for help..it’s a busy hotel. It would be nice to have more direction on how to navigate IAH BEFORE you have to ask. Things like having to check your bag in terminal C if flying United, even if your leaving from another gate The whole subway and sky rail could be explained better at hotel. Food was good. Coffee bar good. I would recommend above the competition. .

We were checked in at around 8:15 pm by Rosario. She was excellent, she could tell we were tired arriving from London, gave us a voucher to partly pay for our breakfast and after the fact found my Marriott number. She is an excellent employee and a great person to greet people. In the morning the women at the front desk were also exceptional, as we wanted to send a package to my wife’s daughter. Again the staff most excellent. Then at breakfast the chef and wait staff were tremendous, fast efficient, fun to chat with. You have done great training on the staff currently working there. Nada

Do not book the managers try to not honor Expedia pricing and then over charge your card without giving a receipt. They give you a 10 day parking pass that you paid more for and when you get back from your trip in the middle of the night the pass ends up not working

I used to stay here with United Airlines. On work. The place is really showing its age. The beds are definitely needing replacing. Our room was so dusty that we coughed all night long. The lobby is in great condition but the rooms the outside access having to walk through the heat just probably won’t be staying here again. you have to pay for Wi-Fi if you are not a Marriott member. You have to still put a $50 deposit down for incidentals. A bottle of soda that you would get at the store for two dollars is almost 7 dollars. Just nickel and dime and don’t forget breakfast is like $32 per person for a buffet.

Staff were all help and polite. Ana from front desk left us a welcome message card and it was very nice gesture. The building itself is very old. I see the lift ups here and there but looks like a patch up. Looks like they had bad contractors for the renovation. Pool was u see renovation and closed. They don’t know when it will open as of May. I will use here again just for the staff and convenience of location. However the building is very old so I might try some newly built hotel also nearby with free shuttle bus.

The only reason I gave a 1 star rating is because it doesn’t allow me to give a zero star rating. You would think after the back up beeping you listen to through out the night that at least you could have a shower with water pressure. But no. Next time will stay somewhere else.

Easy access by airport subway. Reception Staff friendly and informative. No bottled water included in an already overpriced hotel room and charging $6 for a bottle of water ,it was left untouched and having to pay an extortionate amount for Wi-Fi so never used it . This left a sour taste of profiteering and this pricing cannot be justified.

I lied that the property was located but in the airport so I can catch my flight in the morning unfortunately in person in front of the desk clerk, they booked me for a date two weeks later and did not refund me! I didn’t like the front desk clerk I didn’t like the manager. I didn’t like their customer service. I didn’t like the fact that I paid $340 for a room requested for that night so I could catch my 6:48 AM flight the next day. The manager in person said he could not refund me nor could he change his front desk clerks mistake and get me a room.

From the moment we arrived, Bailee was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She made the check-in process easy, offered us the option to upgrade, and helped us get access to the Marriott M Club, which made our stay much more comfortable after a long day of travel. Since I was traveling with my elderly parents, she also helped arrange wheelchair service for the next day so we could get back to the IAH terminal without any trouble. What really stood out was how thoughtful she was throughout the entire interaction. She even wrote us a sweet note thanking us for staying at the hotel, which was such a kind and personal touch. Travel disruptions can be overwhelming, especially when traveling with elderly family members, but Bailee’s warmth and professionalism made a huge difference for us. My parents and I are very grateful for her help and hospitality. Marriott is lucky to have someone like her representing the brand.

We had been stranded in a Houston airport for 2 days due to plane cancelations and delays. We had missed a connecting flight to KC as a result. We had been in that Houston airport with no luggage, so that meant no clothes, no bed, no toiletries for hygiene. We had our 4yo with us. Our hotels and rental car in KC had been prepaid and we were refused refunds even with travel protection because it was weather related. We were at that point, down $600. United refused to give a hotel voucher also due to delays. So we booked online the IAH Marriot since it was on site and we would be able to get back to the airport terminal quickly in the morning for our rebooked confirmed flight. When we arrived we were told 10 families were ahead of us and we could not check into our room until 3pm. It was roughly about 10am or so. We had no car, and still no luggage etc. We had nowhere to go. We were exhausted, hungry, and felt gross from sleeping on the airport floor. My phone number was confirmed and we were told we would get a call as soon as the room was available. We and several others were resting in lounge areas and on lobby seating around the hotel. We went into the restaurant and I purchased food for our 4yo and drinks for all of us. We sat on a sofa at the edge of the restaurant, NOT at a table or seating that was obviously part of the dining area. The 4yo fell asleep and my older daughter rested against the arm of the sofa. A waiter came over to us and said, "You cannot sleep here!" I said, "I paid for a room here, we can't check into it until 3. I am also a paying restaurant customer as we did buy food and drinks. We are not vagrants off the street. We have been sleeping in an airport for 2 days due to circumstances not in our control. Have some decency." He said, "Well you know, this is a restaurant!" Then stomped off. I got up and went to the front desk to check on our room. The agent said we should have been called 2 hours before. She gave us hygiene kits and a meal certificate for the mistake. Bless her! However that waiter humiliated us in front of other patrons and the original desk clerk failed to notify us our room was ready. It all could have been avoided had he notified us on time. For the price we paid, I expected much more from Marriot staff. I sincerely praise and appreciate the female desk agent that apologized and tried to help us. We were able to shower with hygiene products but we did not get to eat at the restaurant because I did NOT want to go back in there as that waiter had embarrassed us so badly.

Very confusing place to navigate with up and down escalators and steps just to get to a room. However, you can't beat the convenience in closeness to the airport for check in. Also suprisingly, the room was not noisy. We stayed at another hotel offsite and the plane noise was pretty rough.

I did not enjoy the check in staff, because of their lack of knowledge about airport shuttles. I attempted to ask the gentleman about returning my rental car and receiving a shuttle to the airport and he said just keep your car for the evening and return it tomorrow, because they don’t do shuttle service. It seemed as though he didn’t have the correct information. Being so close to the airport this type of information is crucial for guests.

We flew in the day before our cruise out of Galveston and stayed the night here. Very convenient picked up our luggage, took the tram over to the hotel and then back again in the morning to catch the shuttle to the port.

Our room was clean, but from there we were not a good stay. The room was under a HUGE central air system and a constant loud noise made it almost impossible to sleep. Additionally, something in the room made a bizarre noise every 15 minutes. Not a great nights sleep for sure.

The room and hotel were wonderful. This is the second room in a row that I have booked with Expedia that is right next to an elevator. I would definitely book directly with the Marriott again, but I am questioning booking through Expedia in the future.

The room and hotel were wonderful. This is the second room in a row that I have booked with Expedia that is right next to an elevator. I would definitely book directly with the Marriott again, but I am questioning booking through Expedia in the future.

Had a 12 hour layover at George Bush. Ate at Flight’s restaurant Andrew the manager and Leticia were absolutely fantastic making suggestions and giving us great service. A home run is their burger with brisket on top. Looking forward to our next stay there.

Noise from next door room tv wasn’t addressed at 215 in morning and later at 3. When checking out manager didn’t care said he sent his security who didn’t hear it and he met his duty. Two other employees were laughing at us and tried to shrug it off as if they were laughing at a squeeze toy that said take a deep breath but was obviously directed at us. Worst customer experience and stay I have ever experienced. Will never stay there again.

I wouldnt suggest coming to this hotel especially if its at night. It took about one hour to check in because the staff were extremely uncoordinated. One of the staff looked like they were going to fall asleep, another staff member said, "Actually, there is only supposed to be one line." And switched all of us to her line, just for the previous line to be faster than her line! The other guests were complaining about the same things I am writing right now. For a hotel of such a luxury status, you'd think they'd have better customer service. It was so bad to the point other guests were saying I should've just slept at the terminal to save money. The room isn't bad, but thats the best I can say for this hotel. I dont recommend.

I have booked the room for my returned trip from Outside the Continnetal USA the flight was delayed so could not make the connection flight, and had to sleep in Washington not in Houston, tried to get Expedia to do the reservation cancellation in time but Manager at The George Bush airport Hotel said could do it. Lost amount paid in the reservation, due to airline fault and Hotel not helping.

I believe for the price they should have basic water wifi and amenities that you could find at any holiday inn or motel 6 I believe because of the proximity to the airport they believe you’d pay for any and everything little thing. The rooms are basic at best. Tons of Reno going on. The subway trains are constantly breaking down. Stuff broke and it feels like you’re staying in a construction site. 6 bucks for a bottle of water on a dusty tray in your room is dirty work and swatting fruit flies away as you eat in their lounge- dining area is not worth the high price of your stay. The staff was very nice so 3 stars for the overall experience five stars for their staff

I couldn’t get anyone on the phone at first for a tv issue. Then when I did, they were extremely rude, making it seem like it was my fault. Then when they sent their “engineer” up, as I was in bed in my underwear, He couldn’t figure out the tv either. So his response was to give me an additional remote. For $375 I think the tv should have a working remote. The new remote didn’t offer the other options that the old remote did, so we were limited on what we could watch. Besides that, wait staff was rude. No patrons were in the restaurant area, but for some reason it took 30 minutes for them not I give me a menu, and another 20 minutes to take my order. This is when I had just arrived. Avoid this place like the plague.

It was probably a nice hotel until it changed ownership, but as it stands, the only attraction is proximity to the airport. Tiny rooms don't match descriptions (none of their King rooms have tubs). Threadbare carpet, beds are old and very soft. Menus in the rooms say copyright 2013, prices aren't up to date. No coffee for coffee maker. Many of the door opener buttons don't work. Just feels old and run-down.

The Marriott a George Bush was the best way we could have ended an extremely long day of travel. Our flight back into the US had been canceled after multiple delays. We were finally able to make it to Houston but then had to spend the night to catch a flight back home the following day. We were exhausted. The hotel was right there in the airport so no need to drive anywhere. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and amenities were just right. We ate dinner at Flights. Our waiter, Michael, was a breath of fresh air- so friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks were great! The following morning it was an easy tram ride to our gate and departure! Just a perfect spot for our needs!

Expedia reservation stated that roll away bed was free. Lady that checked me in insisted it was $20 despite me showing her my reservation which said it was free. Did not offer to assist me in anyway in resolving this and basically told me it was my problem and for me to figure it out with Expedia.

Basic airport hotel now overdue renovation. After travelling for 20 hours we just wanted somewhere to immediately crash and wake up next morning to start our holiday. The Marriott did that job! It is located in the airport itself and is one of the stops on the airport terminal train loop. Stay away from the buffet breakfast though, it was over-priced and didn’t taste great.

Yall have mice or something above room 2020… they did move us but the desk clerk at check out this morning was not toooo friendly … didn’t ask how our stay was or yall have a nice day… maybe work on that … internet only lasted for twelve ours .. we paid almost $24 for 24 hours and could not get it to work this morning before we left… we got maybe 10 hours of internet.. have stayed here before but might try somewhere else next time .. was returning from Alaska and we had stayed at 3 different places in Alaska and they had much better customer service
