Room smelled muggy and the air conditioning was extremely loud

I was shocked at the $50 incidental charge they made mandatory. $25 of which was the parking fee. I won't be staying at this chain again.

Love the location of the property and the size of the room. The staff was very friendly at the front desk however, Jessica, the supervisor was extremely rude when I brought to her attention that the Cleaning team walked in my room twice with no knocking while I was in the shower she told me “I could go stay somewhere else”…not trying to apologize or anything. The young lady at the front desk stepped in and said she was really sorry and she complementary offered me free parking because of the situation.I had the do not disturb on my door yet two days in a row, they’ve walked in my room unannounced with no knocking or anything which I find highly inappropriate, because I was in the shower. mind you I had already booked the stay for three days even wrote a note on the door. Please do not need service still walking in with an absolutely no knocking which I find extremely unpleasant as a solo female traveler. Jessica, the supervisor made my stay horrible. I will not be staying here anymore.

Everything was amazing form check in to check out. The cleaning stuff. I was disappointed with the cleaning staff because they moved our stuff out of the room while we were still checked in, and within our time frame. Some of my daughter's stuff was lost, and they threw away our breakfast.

We had a two room suite, with a standard fridge and the kitchen had supplies and a dishwasher . I did not expect to be so pleased. Good bed, secure parking, adequate breakfast. Highly recommend.

Good location. The staff was very nice TVs outdated. My faucet in my room was leaking. Plaster on the walls were coming off and you can see mold. Hallway carpet was dirty and debris from the paint was in the hallway floor. Hallways never has clean or vacuumed from the paint chips. All 3 exercise bikes did not work

The rooms are spacious and it has a full size fridge, microwave, stove. The carpet looks old and dirty. The bathroom was nice but it had mildew. You can tell that they don’t deep clean the corners in the shower etc. I wouldn’t stay there as there are cleaner hotels for same money. The parking was $25 extra a night. The key to my room did not work. I had to go back to the front desk and it took 30 extra minutes to get it fixed because only one person was working and she stepped away so 6 people were waiting for her.

Clean room,good breakfast.Good location,very close to Galleria or to the bus stop,if you need We stay on the 8 floor and the small on the hallway was awful plus the drop off area was really messy and didn’t look like it’s a main entrance.I could hear all my neighbors at night time-down,up,sides and woke up all the time when heard some noice.

I and my guest were overwhelmed with our stay at Homewood Suites on April 4th. We had originally booked a double queen room since we were only staying one night. When we arrived, which was extremely early, the room was in the process of getting ready for our check-in. The clerk had informed us that they did not have a room with two queens available and they offered us two separate rooms with a king bed and we declined because we did not want to be separated so, she accommodated us as we returned from our destination and the room was still not ready the clerk gave us a suite with a full kitchen two bedrooms two bathrooms and a living area all for the same price as the original room and she also waved the parking fee because we had to wait past the check-in time. We were also right by the mall how convenient because it was walking distance from the hotel. I would strongly recommend anyone visiting in the Houston area to stay at this location.

El Hotel muy bien ubicado, en general bien, ya esta un poco viejo el hotel y huele a humedad , le hace falta renovar algunas cosas. Tenían demasiados huéspedes ese fin de semana por varios eventos en Houston, pero el conserje pésimo, no mandaba las toallas suficientes, no podían encontrar un paquete que nos llego, es evidente que les falta entrenamiento cuando están en capacidad máxima.

The room was clean. Dishes were chipped and very few. Only one glass and no frying pan to cook with. Dishwasher had lots of rust inside...not safe to use if you have digestive issues.

The breakfast was misleading in the pictures they did not refill certain items even with an hour left until the buffet ended. They used paper plates and did not even have a waffle batter with two waffle makers available. The room itself was horrendous, the moment you walk into the hotel it smells like a dog or cat kennel. We had neighbors who were smoking on a non smoking floor. Our kitchen stove range did not work, there was holes in the shower pipe that were covered with foil as well as a dirty towel in our closet. The glasses in the kitchen had finger prints and lip marks on them as well as the spoons

The hallways smelled of urine. The room smelled like the rug because it has not had a shampoo or a good vacuum. The couch was disgustingly dirty. The pillow did not even fit on the couch anymore from extreme use. Definitely would not recommend.

This property needs updated. The 5th floor smells like urine and it hits you immediately upon getting off of the elevator. The hide-a-bed matreses are worn out and the TV's are dated. The breakfast was just ok. One safety item to point out....your cleaning person was mopping the entrance floors and hallways without a wet floor sign present. Huge liability issue as you know, but wanted to point that out as it is likely a training issue. Candidly, we will not return, but are grateful for the opportunity to share.

We travelled there with our 2 children under 3! Check in and out was super easy. Every staff member we encountered from the front desk to the halls, were extremely kind and always greeted us. The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean. The staff went above and beyond after my daughter had forgotten something in our room & found it for us after check out. We will definitely stay here again. My only recommendation as our family is sensitive to smells, is maybe less fragrance used in cleaning the rooms. Though it is possible the previous guest sprayed something in there! It was noticeable most in the bedroom.

I liked the area in the location of the hotel The property is very old and dated carpets and drapes. All have stains walls have stains and spots where they touched up paint just kind of trashy no streaming options on the TV.

Location was good. Parking entrance was terrible. Bed was hard. Maid service is every other day. Didn't have enough towels in the room. Brekfast was not good at all and service quit at 9am.

Our family usually stays here for both business and/or pleasure. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is polite and professional. The Galleria is close by. You can walk to several shops or restaurants nearby. We've never had an issues.

Location was the only good thing about the stay. The carpet was filthy, elevator dirty, room couch was sticky and bed very uncomfortable. There was a terrible odor in hallway and room. Front desk attendant was rude in how she spoke to me at checkin and when I requested sheets and a comforter. Breakfast was fine and well managed. I paid $215 a night midweek. Not worth it.

First and last time I’d stay here! Staff were very rude a simple good morning they wouldn’t even give us better yet a smile. Once we got our Suite we had a small kitchen and fridge, etc we noticed there were small roaches coming out from under the stove and fridge. I was so disappointed on booking this and staying here never have I stayed on a pricey hotel with rude people and still had to deal with roaches on our suite!!!!

We celebrated my daughter’s 8th birthday here. The staff was nice and friendly, the rooms are nice and clean. And the breakfast was great. I only gave 4 stars because the indoor pool was cold and that was the main reason for booking the room.

General manager Tansha didn't do anything about my complaint except victim shame me.. Maintenance people kept flirting with me and trying to enter my room after hours without identifying themselves even though I had the do not disturb sign up. Food difficult to eat. Won't give you points if you don't book directly with them. Housekeeping staff seem to be overworked and underpaid.

The rooms need an upgrade/make-over on paint and cocking throughout the walls. What really flipped me out was the heavy smell of marijuana throughout the parking garage leading to the elevator and into the hotel lobby. Very disappointing in that.

The property itself was clean. The room was comfortable and exactly what I booked. As soon as we walked into the lobby, the young lady, Brandee, who checked me in was super helpful. Very polite and personable…there 2 or 3 other employees behind her who were either sitting on the counters or on theirs phones paying little to no attention. As soon as we got to our room and started to unwind, we all wanted to watch TV but the remote didn’t work. We figured out the batteries were just dead. We had to be up and leave extremely early for our flight, only to find out that there was absolutely no hot water in either of the showers or sinks and there was no water pressure in one of the showers.

Room was good. Breakfast was good. The one amenity that I wanted that I didn’t get was a pool. Leaving Upstate NY in the snowy season and going to Houston, TX where there is no snow. All i wanted was to swim. Worse part is that I called to make sure the pool was available.

I usual don’t leave many reviews but this hotel definitely deserves one I only stayed for 1 night and the hotel and the grounds were very well kept and clean. The room was in great condition, clean and perfect better than expected. I was undecided between 2 hotels in the area but I’m glad I came here. It was the kitchen that made me choose this one which was great. The complementary breakfast that was included was great it was a complete full breakfast that had bacon, eggs, oatmeal, fruits and the list goes on. The pool was open didn’t get a chance to use it but I’m a gym rat so I went there it was nice. Last but not least the customer service was on point they were very helpful and nice. On a 1-10 they are a 10 on the scale.

I was surprised that a property so close to the Galleria would be in such sad state. I booked a two bedroom suite and unfortunately one of the showers was not functioning at all. I did not have a chance to tell house keeping, so I hope they get to check room 1308.

Front desk receptionist was very nice and helpful. Hotel was is still undergoing renovation in some areas. Our room was clean but tub seemed moldy or bad paint job. Closet door was not attached. Overall good stay just minor details, great location and very easy parking.

Asked for a handicapped accessibility room and we didnt receive that either. 1 staff member didnt know any answers when we asked questions, but everyone else was amazing and very helpful.

Breakfast was the blight as it was very goig

Clean room, friendly staff, didn’t realize the parking is in a garage next to the hotel. Showed up later with my medically complex daughter and made that a little difficult, other than that, very pleased with our stay.

The location is perfect for us. We can walk to Galleria and the office we need to visit is near.

Wi-Fi worked well and the cleaning staff did a solid job. Maintenance was another story. The shower dripped constantly, the shower door was rough to slide, and the coffee table pictured in the listing never materialized — which matters if you want to actually use the couch for, say, a drink or morning coffee. I reported these issues to the front desk but nothing was addressed during the week I stayed. I also dislike the extra parking charge — it feels like an unnecessary upsell, more like a resort fee than a genuine service. Overall, an unimpressive property and not up to the Hilton standard.

I’ve stayed here before. Everything was like last time, except: (1) a text message from Lisa at 3:03 am, asking how my stay was going so far, woke me and (2) the outlet next to coffee maker didn’t work.

There is a very nice mall across the street from this hotel. Two pharmacies are also in walking distance if you need last minute items. There are plenty of food options in the area as well. The breakfast was okay. The only issue I had was my key cards needed to be reset twice. I enjoyed this hotel and the area.

All 3 nights there and the pool was closed for “maintenance”. I wanted to be able to use the amenities that I pay for especially with the heat wave

Staff is very friendly property look very well. How ever I found a couple of roaches in our suite and there was a smell from the living area that was not pleasant.

I couldn’t do an early check due to the hotel having issues with their water. This wasn’t a big deal as I understand early check ins are not guaranteed. The hotel room didn’t smell clean. There was a weird smell. The AC wasn’t working properly & had to be fixed. The maintenance employee did promptly fix the issue. The parking garage entrance is on an incline which made scanning the room key to open the gate for the parking garage difficult. Once in the garage, you have to take an elevator to get to the first floor of the hotel lobby then a different elevator to get to the hotel rooms. The door of the hotel lobby requires a room key to open. While this is a good security measure, it’s a tad bit inconvenient. The breakfast on day 1 was great! It included eggs, bacon, potatoes and various other items. Breakfast on day 2 did not look good at all. The tub in one of my rooms looked a little dirty and the bathroom smelled like urine. This hotel could be nice. It just needs a little TLC.

The receptionist who check me in acted like she was bothered by me being at the counter. Breakfast could have been better, oatmeal was basically water, and the beds and pillows are not comfortable at all. The good thing was that the hotel was walking distance to the galleria.

Took over an hour to get our room. Food was nasty. Food service worker was very rude.

They need to tell their cleaner that when there’s food left in the kitchen or table or anywhere , they need to cover them or put them away before cleaning /using chemical spray. Was so disappointed when I caught the lady, spraying the table with our food on them.

My family enjoyed the stay

The receptionist and manager provided excellent service. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Whenever there is a complaint or request, they respond promptly and provide customer satisfaction. In general, we like it.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. Our room had an unpleasant odor and did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned—the refrigerator still had visible stains. The entire property seemed worn down and in need of renovations. Additionally, the location felt run-down and uninviting. On a positive note, the front desk staff, particularly the young woman who assisted us, was very friendly and welcoming. Be aware that there is a $25 per night parking fee. I missed breakfast but they did have bacon scrambled eggs looked good.

Our stay was nice for mom and daughters trip. The hotel is in a great spot with easy access to everything. Certain staff were really nice while others were dry. We only had one incident where the vent cover in the ceiling came loose in the living room and was hanging but one phone call to front desk and maintenace came within an hour. Overall we were comfortable and felt safe. I would stay again.

I had to request towels for showering/bathing, there were no towels in the room upon entry. Major Details: It would be nice to be greeted with a smile at your front desk. The toilet was inoperable for flushing adequately/appropriately. Overall, it was suitable for sleeping.

The hotel is in a great location near Galleria but in need of a reno and better cleanliness. Upon arriving at the entrance, it smelled like urine, and once inside the hotel and in rooms, there were still bad odor smells throughout. The hotel was not horrible but not great either. In our room furniture, walls and doors were chipped, missing paint etc. The beds were ok, but sheets were cheap and scratchy. The room was domewhat clean but definitely not thoroughly. I would have left upon arrival, but hubby didn't want the hassle of looking someplace else. The best part of stay was space in rooms, staff were nice, location and available breakfast (although nothing fancy). GM did make an attempt to compensate us considering issues, so I did appreciate that consideration. Overall, stay was ok, but it would not be my choice in the future unless they fix these issues.

Didn’t have any issues with the room just the staff. Attitudes from everybody, it was ridiculous. Even just asking a simple question, they were rude.

I love staying here it’s quiet convenient to shops walkable restaurants and CVS pharmacy. Staff didn’t provide me with a welcome bag during this visit which is fine I only stayed one night. I wasn’t sure if the bathroom was facing future renovations there must have been a leak or something because the patching on the roof was awful.

The smell in the halls as soon as you get off the elevator!! It is awful. Our room was fine, but getting from the elevator to our room was gagging!

I was lucky enough to enjoy some wine and cheese at the evening lounge in the lobby. Different beers, red and white wine. Cheese, bread and fruit available to snack on while enjoying drinks.

Not as planned, very UNCOMFORTABLE. DID NOT HAVE PILLOWS AVAILABLE FOR roll out bed. Spoke to staff several times was told shortly, NEVER HAPPENED. RESULTING in us cheking out mid trip....

It was very good, we had a good nights sleep and the room was very well taken care of. Some minor cosmetic fixes need to be done. The breakfast was really good and it was included with the stay of the hotel. Staff was friendly

I had a fantastic experience at Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston Near the Galleria! From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel welcome and at home. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Galleria, which made shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The suite was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The full kitchen was a huge plus, especially for a longer visit. I also appreciated the complimentary hot breakfast each morning and the weekday evening socials—they added a nice touch and made the experience feel even more hospitable. The hotel amenities, including the fitness center and indoor pool, were well-maintained and not overly crowded. Parking was easy, and I always felt safe coming and going. Whether you're in town for business or a family trip, I highly recommend this property. It truly feels like a home away from home. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Houston!

I loved this place. Couldn't believe how modern and stylish it was. Def was not expecting this when I booked this place, was thinking "ehhh, it's Home Suites" but it felt very homey and well put together. There are restaurants in walking distance including the mall. Def my go to from now on whenever I visit Houston

Really needs an update. Overall it shows wear and age. Also needs more housekeeping staff. Example: we left our room at 9:00 AM and returned at 4:00 PM and the room had not been cleaned. It also took over 5 minutes in the morning to get the shower to provide warm water, never got to hot.

Overall my stay was good. Staff was very accommodating.

Later, I received an invoice directly from Hilton via email, which contained several billing errors. I had to return to the hotel to get them corrected. Surprisingly, another manager was able to access and adjust the charges, and provide a printed bill, contradicting what we were previously told. Today, three days later, I found another transaction charged to my card in excess of the printed bill total! When I called the hotel today, a representative said she didn’t see this charge on my account and that it should drop off or be refunded in a couple of days. These inconsistencies and poor service made our stay extremely frustrating. I do not plan to return to this establishment and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. The staff is always friendly and accommodating!! The location is convenient to every place we wanted to visit. The two bedroom rooms are comfortable and great for groups.
