Lots of parking, good breakfast, good location. Weekend breakfast hours were later than weekdays. I had to leave before breakfast was available on a Sunday.

Good location near the highway. Enjoyed the hot breakfast and the beds were comfortable. We had to change rooms because the first room smelled of mildew and had wet carpet and bedding. The second room also had wet carpet but the front desk staff mentioned it could’ve been recently shampooed. Unfortunately, ventilation was very poor and the carpet never dried during our stay. It left black marks on the soles of our feet if we were barefoot. The bathroom ventilation fan also did not work, leaving a layer of condensation on all surfaces after a shower. Overall, the room was poorly maintained. A wooden plaque with hooks to hang stuff fell off the wall. There were also cracks in the plaster and bathroom tiles.

There's also an indoor pool, which is nice. Would stay here again if needed in the future. I thought the beds could have been a bit more softer. And the water pressure from the bathroom sink was a bit on the low flow side. Breakfast was ok but could use a few more options.

The staff was super nice. The hot breakfast was nice. The cleanliness was pretty bad. I wish I would have taken a picture to actually show. I didn’t even want to get in the shower barefoot. Lots of black mold on sink and in the tub. The tables in the pool area were not clean. Also, the indoor pool was FREEZING!!!!

Always stay at this property everytime we go to Galveston. All their rooms faces the water and have balconies. It has not disappointed us in every stay. Thanks Best Western....

However, invest in facilities management. The rooms could be so much better. They’re clean but run down. Paint pealing in the windowsill, cracked tiles in the bathroom, fan vents that don’t work making all the condensation trap into the bathroom after a shower, and rugs that are stained. Our first room had a smashed tv that was either not known or just not taken care of. Again- not the worst place to stay but could be a lot better.

Me daughter and I have stayed here x2 and it’s always been comfortable. Breakfast is great. Check in is at 3pm and on our latest stay we had been at the hospital and were mentally and physically exhausted. The front desk checked if a room was ready and she let us check in like 30 minutes prior to check in. N/A

AC is noisy

We booked a standard room and received an accessible room. This was a little uncomfortable with 3 in the room when using bathroom or shower since there were no doors and just open access to the bathroom. When we tried to switch the rep said she would leave note so they could switch us the next day. When I checked the next day, rep said no note found and there were no other standard rooms available. The water pressure was low and looked like some areas could use some maintenance but at least beds were comfortable.

The listing says AC but it does not blow cool air at all and although you can push the buttons on the thermostat, it does not do anything. After turning the air down on the thermostat, it actually got warmer and the temperature on the thermostat went up. There was a light brown stain on the sheets and several small pieces of trash around the room like tags from clothes and stickers with sizes. We hung up the sign on the door for no housekeeping and left for several hours, when we returned to the hotel, all of our towels and hand towels were gone (and not replaced might I add) so they clearly disregard the sign that we did not want anyone in our room. When we checked out, one woman at the front desk was nice and smiling but the other two staff member we interacted with I would not say we had a good experience with. Lastly, the location, although good on the map, is immediately off and exit on the highway so you have to cross several lanes of traffic on the service road when trying to enter the turn for the hotel. Its nearly impossible at anytime of day so we were rerouted every time and had to go around backroads to get back.

I was very disappointed with my stay here in Houston. The housekeeping kept barging in to the room, even when we were sleeping. They took all of our towels in the middle of getting ready to go out. When checking out we were barely out of the doorway of the room when the housekeeping barged in to turn our room over. The air conditioning did not work at all and it was extremely hot in our room. Between the heat, and disruptions, I won’t be visiting again.

Everything was clean, staff was very awesome. Enjoyed our stay. Trying to find the entrance in the dark. Had to circle the block twice to find the entrance. No lights or sign to state this is the entrance.

The staff was okay. We came home dusty from the Rodeo on Saturday. We were in a room that slept 6. We were only given 2 bath towels. We asked for more and were told to go downstairs. We went downstairs and were told there were no more towels. Very frustrating.

everything was great except for the breakfast the egg pancakes a lot of process foods. I’m a little bit more picky but greatly appreciate they do offer hot breakfast. Just have very sensitive stomach. Otherwise cleaning this pool the gym everything was very nice and so was the stuff.

The stay was nice. A bit more in price but it was a holiday weekend. Tucked away just off the HWY behind a restaurant. Not the best neighborhood but the Hotel does have security in the parking lot at night. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. No issues like other brands that have guest that are loud in the rooms and smell of weed. Hotel is a little older but our experience was great. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff very pleasant. Thank you

I just suggest that they provide lunch and dinner for purchase if possible. This is because I had a small child with me and did not want to order uber daily for lunches and dinner. Location was close to a lot of things. Right off expressway and bar/grill in same block. First set of key cards did not work, went back to front desk and cards were rescanned. Cards again did not work. Was then moved to another room short distance. This room ac did not work. No answer at front desk. Change of shift and I was given another room a few rooms down and better condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel hallway and stair way smelled of marijuana. Last day, cleaning ladies knocked at 10am, I told them we would be checking out at 12 and they acknowledged understanding. An hr later they returned , knocked and opened door at same time, did not wait for a response. I opened door and they apologized. 1140 I was loading luggage into vehicle , when they returned again while my gf was in the restroom. Staff didn’t know just opened door with card. They apologized again and 5 min later returned to do the same.

I was surprisingly impressed with this hotel the condition of the hotel looks like it was most built maybe a few years back, it was clean and the breakfast options were many which helps when you have a picky toddler. The room were clean and the shower was huge. Only draw back was the ice machine on the second floor was not working and there was no microwave in my room. Other than that a good stay.

The room did not have sheets/blanket or pillows for the pull out couch. I asked the front desk and got a blanket with wholes no sheets and pillows. No extra towels had to find housekeepers in the morning. The shower head sprayed everywhere in the bathroom had to use the towel to dry all the water. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful.

Overall, stay was great. In the back of the hotel, there was a lot of trash bags on the curb and the continental breakfast could’ve been a little better. Other than that, I would come back.

While the property is visually appealing, several essential amenities in my room were not working. The TV, phone, and Keurig machine were all non-functional. I hope these issues can be addressed promptly for future guests.

Staff was friendly. Hotel very clean. Breakfast was sad. Fruit was old and dusty. Breads were stale. Coffee was great tho.

The property was in good condition and smelled really clean. The main problem i had was that i reserved the rooms at a rate of $56.00 per night but was charged $79 per night.

This location is close to the highway and several dining spots and not too far from Galleria Mall.

They did not have simple towels and face cloths and no housekeeping the whole weekend we were there. No maintenance on sight and our toilet was running loud all weekend due to this. The night staff were really nice but that’s about it. Would not recommend staying here.

Woman working during check in was rude and unhelpful. Made us walk around to the side of the building to get in. Thankfully my dad had already checked into his room so he had a key to get in, otherwise I’m not sure how she expected me to get in the building. Tv did not work. One night, there was not a single hotel worker from 10pm to around 3am and we could not get in touch with anyone, the police had to be called. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.

The first room I stayed in had no water pressure, hardly a trickle. When I complained, they moved me to a better room 2 floors lower. The sofa in my first room had visible stains on it, and there were no tissues in the tissue dispenser. When I asked one of the room attendants for tissues, she said she didn't have any.

Problem with nats flying around the room

Lots of things didn’t work at this hotel. My TV didn’t work. The treadmill in the fitness center didn’t work. The key stopped working for my hotel room and then again for the fitness center. Also there wasn’t a lot of attention to detail. My room was not done up the first two nights. I had no hangers. No towels in the gym. No cups at the water cooler.

Again a very rude response that they are not doing that. He also told me to move my car from the parking spot since I’m not staying in the hotel yet. I did not have time to rebook but I should have done it. Terrible person who should not be employed to work with customers.

The room was clean—unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of my stay. THE BAD: The elevator and entire fourth floor reeked of cigarette smoke so heavily that it made me wonder if the hotel still has smoking rooms. The shower grout looked overdue for replacement, and several outlets were loose, popping out from the walls. THE UGLY: Due to construction, there were road closures blocking access to the hotel at night, and I wasn't notified of this in advance. After circling the area for an hour searching for an entrance, I eventually had to drive over curbs and a yard in the back of the hotel just to access the parking lot. This was not the arrival experience I’d hoped for. Adding to the frustration, when I brought these concerns to the staff, they were sarcastic and unhelpful, refusing to provide a manager’s contact information. Overall: While I appreciated the clean room, the lack of communication, poor customer service, and general condition of the property made for a disappointing experience.

We did not stay. We tried to cancel our reservation & never heard back from the manager after 2 calls. It was poor service from the hotel. Makes me not want to book with IHG again.

It was good but it could had been better. Pancake machine was not working so no pancakes for breakfast. The trash from our room was never picked up. Our damp towels were never replaced with new dry towels for our whole stay.

Terrible. The hotel receptionist provided poor customer service. She had the exterior glass doors locked and would not let us in the lobby. She spoke to us from 20 feet away through the glass doors and she kept repeating, “we have no rooms, contact your booking agent”. I tried to explain that I already had my reservation with confirmation number but she would not give me an explanation. She continued to repeat herself. There was another family that was there before me and she was telling them the same thing as they were in the same predicament. They had their reservation but were not allowed in. This was very frustrating and caused me to have to look for a last minute change of hotels. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns for close to 30 years now and this was honestly my 1st bad experience. The receptionist could have done better. Now I have to wait on trying to get my money refunded. Not sure if I’ll give them another chance. Maybe, maybe not.

The pillows, bedspread and sheets smelled very bad and were dirty.

Normally I would have asked to switch rooms, but after working 15 hours and only having 7 hours to rest and go back to work I just dealt with it. But once those elevator doors opened to the third floor it was nasty. I didn’t understand why the hallway was so hot and had nasty odors coming from eacb room like there could be a dead body in one until I got to my room. The entire third floor just creeped me out. The air conditioner was on its lowest at 60 degrees but the room stayed at 78 and my sleep number is usually 68. The carpet by the AC was soaked and has a mildew smell to it. I figured all the rooms had this problem and the hotel didn’t know how to handle it. I travel a lot and the free soap and such is the cheapest they can provide in the hotel business. The breakfast was just sad so I went towards the oatmeal as a saving grace, but it was wayyy too runny. The front desk was delightful though!
