Hampton Inn & Suites Houston Heights I-10

The highway road raging ruined our sleep. We were up till after 3 am listening to the speeding jerks on I 10! We had moved our son into his apartment all day so we were exhausted. Worst night ever and we like Hampton Inn!

It takes long time to fix the toilet

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in the Heights in Houston Texas. All if the staff provided excellent service and were attentive to our needs. This is our second time staying there, and we will be back.

The location was very clean, comfortable, and I loved that there were both an indoor pool and gym, both which I used during my stay. The breakfast options were good, and it was very easy to get on/off the interstate. I also appreciated that they had a gated parking lot for guests. It was a little odd that the TV was aligned sideways with the bed in my room, so it was a little hard to see it when laying down. The main thing that I didn't like was the entrance to the hotel; the only way in was crossing through the very bumpy parking lot of a busy restaurant, and both when I arrived and when I went out and returned, I had to wait for pedestrians and other cars to move out of the way to be able to access the hotel entrance.

I stayed in room 318 on 5/16/26 and the tub had residue in it. I didn’t know what the substance was so as I showered, I had to position my feet to avoid it as best I could. I had such a long day and didn’t want to make a big deal about switching rooms but the tub in that room needs attention.

Good hot breakfast - eggs, sausage, gravy & biscuits, waffles, toast, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee, yoghurt - many options. Hard to get to - had to drive through a restaurant parking lot to get to the hotel. It is very close to an interstate and there's a lot of traffic noise.

Everything about our stay here was a happy surprise. Last year we stayed at a hotel in Houston that was more expensive, didn't have free breakfasts or parking, raised their prices significantly this year, and wasn't as well-maintained as this one. The breakfasts here were very nice, changed daily and we found the breakfast room very comfortable.. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I was appalled when an obnoxious guest repeatedly berated the young lady at reception for something that was obviously his fault and she had no possibility of fixing. Her calm and patient responses were admirable. Next year when we return for this event the Hampton Houston Heights will be our first choice. I was glad that reviews warned us about the strange way to enter through the parking lot of what appears to be a defunct restaurant that was always packed with cars. Once past that, gated parking at the hotel was fine.

But one night, their lights were out about 4,5 hours, so we have to sleep without an AC But it’s very rare. Also, one side of the hotel facing to Highway, the other side facing to railroad. Lillie noisy. But like I said, the hotel is good over all.

The parking at this location is a bit funky with the insanely popular Mexican restaurant nearby, so patience is certainly a virtue here. 😄

Shannon at the front desk provided exceptional customer service during my check in. Also during the stay part of the building lost power and all staff were very helpful. The room was very clean! I definitely will be staying here again!!

Great hotel stay in Houston Heights! Highly recommend this hotel. We had a king suite and brought our small dog (service dog). We all enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this property.

For the most part my stay was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. Everything was very clean and organized. The only issue we had is that our microwave in our room didn’t work which the staff utilize their break room microwave to warm our food up for us I definitely will stay again. They also offered to move us to another room. And did say they could have Maintenance come in to take a look at the appliance.

Clean room with a comfortable bed. Parking is convenient. Breakfast was good too. The only bad thing about this hotel is that it is very close to some train tracks. While we never heard train horns, you could hear the trains passing by. It wasn’t extremely loud, but it was surprising.

Our vacation started out with a snag as the TV didn’t work in our room, and stayed like this through the second day! The manager and front desk stepped up and moved us to a new room and were very compassionate about the whole situation!! We will definitely return! Plus the location is close to so many amazing restaurants and bars!

There was some miscommunication during check in with similar names and an issue on Expedia side, but once I brought this up the the managers attention, Selena was quick to help resolve my issue and continued to check in with us throughout our stay! Honestly, her attention to her customers and her friendly demeanor made it a wonderful experience! Thank you so much Selena! We will definitely be staying here again.

Breakfast was great in the mornings. The gym was well equipped for quick workouts.

One improvement would be having a more consistent housekeeping schedule. Some days housekeeping arrived before 10 a.m., while other days my room wasn’t cleaned until well after 1 p.m. Having a general timeframe would make it easier to know when to leave the room and when it’s okay to return. The main issue during my stay was the shower. When I arrived, the bathtub spout was not caulked and there appeared to be a problem with the diverter valve. Because of this, water continued to flow from the spout while the shower was on, which caused the tub to drain slowly and back up. Unfortunately, a replacement room of the same type was unavailable due to full bookings, so I endured the issue. That said, I do appreciate the staff making an effort to help and having maintenance caulk the spout. On a positive note, the gym was almost always empty, which I enjoyed, and I liked that the pool was indoors. The breakfast was decent with a good variety. I particularly enjoyed the maple sausage and the biscuits and gravy. I also appreciated the different waffle flavors. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I just hope the remaining repairs are completed and that the shower is fully functioning next time.

I was given the wrong room. The hotel staff blamed it on Expedia. I paid for a suite with a King bed and was put in a regular King bad room. They were booked so they did not accommodate me. On top of that the room given was by an active train and the freeway so it was very noisy during the day and night. We didn’t get much sleep at all.

When I called the front desk, the woman verified that was correct. I did express that wasn’t ok with me, I didn’t want workers randomly showing up and being in my room. The clerk became defensive and dismissive. It was rude and I didn’t appreciate booking a room and then showing up to the possibility of workers in my room. It felt like a pretty big ask. Just shut down what you need to renovate and don’t disturb your guests.

Room was great. The knob on the shower was a little uncalibrated but it was fine. Mirlacle in the front desk was great! Always followed up with us and very sweet. We enjoyed having her.

The facilities were clean and Milracle was the best. She ensured our check in was smooth and suggested several options for our family to dine in the area. A late night security guard racial profiled and harassed my husband. The manger, Shannon, followed up on the event and ensured that the employee would be reprimanded.

The bathroom door did not work properly. It would be nice to have a nightlight in the bathroom. The shades on the room window were not long enough to keep the light out day and night. The room was nice Staff wasn’t too friendly. The room we were put in was in a construction zone with a full work crew working after we traveled so far it was weird and hazardous. Hammering at 8 am on Sunday was not how I wanted to wake up. Bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Didn’t have breakfast Trying to get to the property. Because there is a very circuitous route, instructions should have been shared. I spent a lot of time driving through nearby neighborhoods in an effort to teach the hotel.

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We had 2 adults and 3 kids. We got the king suite with sofa bed. We were not orginally offered extra pillows or blankets but were able to call the desk and get them. They did have a pack and play crib available which was convenient. The bed was very firm and didnt find it comfortable at all. The sofa bed was even more uncomfortable. We ended up purchasing blow up matresses for the kids. The exta blankets were similar to hospital blankets. Heavy and a rough texture. The pillows were feather but easily went flat. Also purchased extra pillows. Everything in the room functioned fine except the ceiling light that was out. But with the other lamps and lights it wasn't really needed. There was a small fridge and small microwave which was nice. The location was convenient as it seemed to be a decent area. It was near walmart and the Galleria Mall. It was maybe 20 mins from downtown and museum district. But getting into the hotel was weird. There is a restaurant right in the front of the hotel so you have to drive through their parking lot to get to the gate. It was really only busy the first night we got there. The hotel parking lot is gated which is nice. There was a lot of construction going on im the back of the hotel so it was confusing at first. I booked this hotel for my nephew and his wife to come for a Christmas visit. They loved the hotel. The breakfast was really nice and the hotel is being renovated so their room was completely renovated and nice. Free parking was a big help and one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

This is a nice property with excellent personnel but it is located adjacent to a train track with trains running late at night and early in the morning. That was not a concern for me but I can see where it could be for some folks. I will very likely stay here again if it remains price-competitive.

Absolutely great hotel for the price! The location was prime for the activities I had for our weekend stay. They have a full, free breakfast and coffee 24 hours. Check -in was easy, the staff was wonderful, our room was clean and free gated parking! My one complaint, but this is an issue with all hotels these days, the walls are a bit thin. Other than that, we enjoyed our 3 day, 2 night stay.

The indoor pool was extremely cold. I expected to be not hot but at least decent warm. That was the reason I booked that hotel because I traveled with 2 kids.

The hotel itself is a little inconvenient to get to and get out of, but it is clean and secure. We have stayer here twice so far and the hotel has been consistent to this point. We will definitely stay here again.

Went to the International Quilt Festival. we had issues with our B&B. Went to this hotel and boy did it not disappoint. I would recommend. Very quiet, nice friendly staff, breakfast was so-so but we made due.

Property was well maintained and staff was extremely nice. The only downside was if you are in a room facing the interstate, the road noise is pretty loud. Also the bed in my room was sinking in. Staff listened to my concerns and handled it well.

Parking was in gated area but we never felt unsafe. Staff very personable and professional. Clean and comfortable rooms

Train tracks directly behind the room, the AC worked, but the humidity in the room made sleeping difficult-the sheets felt damp all the time. The lamp had a short-went off and on. The alarm clock did not work correctly. They required access to room for measuring but did not notify me of this when I checked in.

Front desk man, Jerrel?, was amazing. He makes this hotel a GREAT experience from the moment you arrive. Wise choice for the hotel to choose him to represent, because he goes above and beyond to welcome guests. Rooms are great too. They are spacious and clean. Only critique would be I don’t like how you can’t remove the back cushions to the sleeper sofas. Kind of gross to think about everyone sitting or sleeping there and cushions can’t be removed or cleaned, but that isn’t a huge deal. We just threw a sheet over it. Hotel is great so far. Haven’t had breakfast yet, but we like the actual hotel and staff.

Exceptional! Very clean!

It was a great short family trip. Staff was very friendly. We loved it and will be back soon.

We asked for a room close to the elevator but was gi wn a room at the very end if the hall.

Breakfast could use some help but overall, clean place and nice staff. Right off the highway. 10/10 would stay again.

We were in Houston for a live concert event, and the Hampton Inn was very conveniently located for us. The gated parking made us feel secure when we got back late at night. The staff was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, the common areas were clean and pleasant. I wanted to try the pool but didn't get the chance-- next time! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We had a great stay, we'll be back when our fave band returns!

Anytime I travel, I usually stay at a Hampton Inn. They're comfortable and budget friendly (for me). This one fit the bill. I liked the gated parking. It's open during the day but requires a code at night. Breakfast was your standard hotel options but I noticed they switched it up a little each day which was nice. There is a freeway on one side and train tracks on the other so I'd suggest earplugs if noise from either would bother you. The room and linens were clean. I'd stay here again if I ever visit Houston again.

It is Houston, so you will need to drive everywhere from here. The hotel itself was great. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good workout room and breakfast.

Spacious room. The only thing that I didn’t like is that the toilet seat wasn’t clean and the entrance to the hotel is inconvenient. You have to go through the parking lot of like diner(?) to get to it. I did feel safe staying here though and the staff were nice. Breakfast had a good range too. Loved that my room had a sink and mini fridge.

The overnight receptionist was rude. He looked miserable & nonchalant. I would've rated it a 1. I only gave it a 3 because the receptionist in the morning, she was kind. Overall room was clean & nice for the price.

Breakfast had lots of protein options. Good coffee. Excellent and helpful competent staff!!!

Clean, fast check in Free parking (gated), Free Breakfast. Suggestion: open the pool earlier for morning workouts. It doesn't open until 10am.

The place was dated and a few things just stood out, but overall it was a good experience.

First impression was 5🌟. There were 3 guests who arrived at the same time to check in. The front office staff made an intentional effort to show us our room # confidentially. Very efficient and was multitasking beautifully to check us in while also helping a guest on the phone, who was having trouble with the TV channels.

The stay was great. My only complaint was that when my husband and I got to our room, late at night, the thermostat on the HVAC was set to 61 degrees and we had trouble figuring out how to work the thing! (We’re old!) The front desk supplied an extra layer for the bed, which was nice!

Peaceful atmosphere. Great food. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent pool. Excellent gym. Mediocre staff service. I’ve booked here before and the staff is noticeably different from 2023. Everything else is great as always.

Had a little mix up during check in about which room was ours, but it happens. It wasn’t a big deal, but I was very pleased with how the gentleman handled it. He figured out their mistake and got me into the room we reserved right away.

The place is well maintained, breakfast was included and pretty good. Nice parking lot separate from a busy restaurant. Rooms were cozy. Staff was very sweet.

The basic breakfast is simple but solid with all the basics like coffee, scrambled eggs, sausage and that cool and tasty do it yourself waffle maker. There was a train that went by once that i could hear, but the driver must know not to blow the horn, so no big blast. The bonus was the super hip taco / mex restaurant in the same parking lot. Not for kids, but great food and vibe.

The overnight workers are rude and just playing games. People should stay away from this location

It was great to be so close to the Memorial Park. The gym was clean in general. And the breakfast dynamics were smooth, especially for early birds. The people in the counter were friendly and helpful.

I absolutely will stay here again. The property is very clean, staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, we had a few minor things that came up and they was quickly. Safe, clean, friendly, and quiet. Blessing in disguise.

The employees are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is good. The public areas are attractive and the room was nice. It's super loud bc of I10 and it's hard to get to bc of the shared driveway.

Great ovation and service

This is our third time to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Houston Heights. Our room was very clean. . .very important to me. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good. I noticed the guests having breakfast were all talking to each other. That told me they were happy with their stay as well. Otherwise there would be silence in the breakfast area. We travel to Houston a lot to visit our children. This will be our home away from home.

The first room we were put in, we found a bed bug in the bed. We contacted the staff and they moved us to another room. The second room was very nice and clean.

My 3 night stay was nice. Jane checked me in and also dealt with the only problem that I had. She was very nice and professional throughout my whole visit. The only thing that frustrated me was the tv in my room. There was no guide showing what was on each channel. The only way to see what was on was to scroll through each channel one by one. That was frustrating but overall my stay was good.

2nd time I book here because it’s clean and quiet.. they also have a good breakfast.

Nice but the carpets in the rooms felt tacky like they hadn’t been shampooed in quite a while and had visible dirt and grime on them other then that it was nice they had a good breakfast and the hotel staff worked very hard on making sure everything was stocked up and clean and all very friendly
