Coffee was very light; I had to buy my own coffee every morning. Breakfast was weak, only waffle worth eating. I wish they have some fresh fruit instead of prepackaged muffins, horrible tasting.

I only stayed for one night. I arrived around midnight left at checkout next day. Room was decent, bed was comfortable. Nice TV. Shower was hot. The complimentary breakfast was nice. Nothing crazy, but something to out on your stomach.

The room was very nice and spacious. It was overall very clean. Easy check in . Downside, the coffee machine didn’t work and the towels had red stain like lip stick or nail polish on the towels.

This place is not as described. Not very clean, a bad part of town, old, and in disrepair. Pretty sure all the outstanding reviews are the work of whoever runs this place. Do yourself a favor. Stay somewhere else.

We didn't like the staff at the front desk. I don't know if he was the owner or just the manager but he was short and rude. Threw my ID and credit card at me. We didn't have a plug for the bathtub, not any shampoo/conditioner nor soap, one cup for water. Their wasn't a fitted sheet on the pull out sofa bed nor one available, no extra sheets for the sofa bed, no "Do Not Disturb" sign to put on our door so the cleaning lady knocked on our door. Couldn't grab our breakfast and drinks on the go, we had to eat it in the lobby. Wouldn't probably stay their again.

My room was nice, clean, and spacious. The staff are very sweet, and helpful. I had food delivered, but the delivery person forgot to bring utensils. I went to the lobby, and they provided me with what I needed. It was quiet and peaceful.

Love the stsyed, I had stayed on one of your locations before after my water heater need replaced, and this location is one of the cleanest and well kept locations I have stayed. Freud ly staff as well.

My partner and I needed a hotel for the night after our cruise that was close to the airport. The front desk worker was so helpful and kind. The room was clean and very good for one night close to Hobby.

Hotel staff not very accommodating. Looking to pinch every little penny out of their guests. Was trying to upcharge me $30 a night to switch from King to Double Beds because I had a last minute change in plans for a funeral. Wouldn’t recommend.

I stay here frequently when I come into town for UH activities. The staff is always very friendly. And the room is always very nice and clean. My only suggestion would be to get fluffier pillows. For a king size bed, There's only three and they're very thin. Fantastic otherwise!

I definitely recommend staying here. Service from behalf of the guy when checking in wasn't very pleasant, he wasn't in the mood. Besides from that, this is a good and quiet hotel.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights we were told no visitors. The room was clean, this facility is a motel with hot waffles and cold cereal and honeybuns snacks. It is privately owned. The location is close to the freeway and on the bus line. They have smoking and non smoking rooms.

This property is located in a very safe area. The property is well-lit, with no loiterers and security cameras all over. My room is spotless, the bed comfortable, and a great choice of channels on the TV. Clean up after yourselves, don't litter outside, and keep this hotel a very nice spot to stay! I would stay here again!

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and bed comfortable. I would've given 5 stars but the door was missing a chain and some weather stripping. So, it would make a banging noise(with the wind) every few minutes. Otherwise, it was great!

Decent place to stay before my cruise. Small hotel and very close to the airport. Microwave, mini fridge, iron in the room. Room was spacious. They initially could not locate my reservation but ultimately did. Price was right for a night. Overall i would stay again.

I will try to stay positive so the good things first: The very best thing is I didn’t have to sleep on the floor at the airport when I missed my connection. There was a storm in Houston and the national championship game was in town so no other hotels were available. Second, this hotel was located close to Hobby so transport wasn’t too expensive. Third, I didn’t leave with any bug bites so that’s a plus. Things that could be improved? First, there was a pretty big splotch of what looked like dried urine on the floor near the toilet. That was pretty disgusting. I used their towels and some alcohol I had to clean it and disinfect the bathroom. It felt like the start of COVID again! Next the shower only put out luke warm water. Not freezing but definitely less hot than desired. There was no lamp near the bed to read by and there was no plastic face on the electrical outlet near the sink. There was also a misc resort type of a fee added to the bill. I wasn’t sure what that was for but those always feel petty. It seemed like the owner (at least it looked independently owned) was in maximum savings mode. It wasn’t so bad (except for the pee by the toilet) and I was able to sleep for a few hours. It just had many details that needed attention. It’s too bad because with such a great location near the airport it wouldn’t take much to make the property a decent place to stay.

The Downtowner is not extravagent. It is tucked between an ordinary street and a freeway. However, it provided me with exactly what I paid and hoped for...a large, clean room where I felt safe and relaxed. Bonus, right next to a gas station where I could fillup my rental and a barbecue restaurant that was accesable and tasty. Well done, Downtowner.

I went to a funeral services, had to stay in a hotel , once I Went in and it was very humid inside the room and smelly (I’ve stayed in others hotels , and the ac in room is already turned on (which is very helpful) Until we turned on the ac The shower was partially cleaned ;soups from previous guests were still there ) Over all I will give a 2 out of 10 I may get some improvements

The rooms were very hot. I had to buy a fan to cool the rooms off faster. No one in the building to assist after 10pm. Checked out at 930 am and still nobody in the office
