The elevator was not working which is a major safety concern and the room was on the 3rd floor. I had to leave in an hour or so due to the state of this hotel.

The 1st night was marred by noisy neighbors up late and then the fire alarm at 6:30 am. I moved rooms. The 2nd nights sleep ruined again by the fire alarm at same time, blaring for 10 or 15 minutes!

Our room was on the second floor but the elevator was not working . The manager helped us with carrying the luggage to our room . Next morning the shower didn't work , we called the manager who thankfully sent maintanace to put a new faucet . I believe if house cleaning reported this problem the day before we wouldn't have to wait . The Bistro was not open too but Kroger was across the street & we had to go there for breakfast .

I did not eat the breakfast. The hotel was incredibly noisy. Doors were slamming up and down the hallway all night long. Gym smelled very strongly of something unpleasant. Elevators weren't working. Anyone off the street can access all hallways/rooms of the hotel.

The room was OK. There was a big roach bug in the room that my husband had to kill. I wanted to switch rooms but we were late for a concert. That made me uneasy to be honest

I went to check in. The gentleman at the front desk was telling me the room is going to be $270. I told him I already paid online. He kept trying to charge me. Convinced me to cancel my reservation. But I know I wouldn't get a refund. I called Expedia and they were able to help me. But at this point I did not want to return. And wil never return.

We arrived at the facility at 4pm even though check-itime was 3pm. When it was my turn at desk i was told that my room was not available when asked when it would be ready he replied I dont know and told me to get out the line. We sat in lobby about 30 minutes before being let know room was ready. When we get to room bathtub was filthy and had rust in it. Went back down to let Patrick know and if we could be placed in another room. He stated there were no more rooms available and that he would srnd housekeeper back to room. I asked to speak with manager and he said ok. We sat in lobby an addiitional 20 minutes and i proceeded to go back to desk to ask if the manager would be there soon. He then stated oh oh im sorry I'll get her now. He then said i could go look at another room and im looking dumbfounded because he had just prior told me there were no rooms available. Ice machine on 2nd floor where we we placed didnt work and wasnt aware that the rooms did not have a microwave so we had to go to first floor and stand in line to heat food. Also people were being told elevator on other was not in service and they had to carry their luggage up the stairs. No apologies were given and Mr Patrick never had an answer or solution for anything just shrugged his shoulders like I cant help you. I never got to speak with manager at all. I have never experienced this kind of service.

The room I was given originally at check in had not been made up bed was not made and iron and board were out and tv was on like if someone was shot here but told attendant and he proceeded to give us another room which was satisfactory

I made a reservation 2-3 days before we arrived to this hotel. After a long day of traveling, we made it to the hotel around 11:30 pm and the front desk staff informed us that there were no rooms clean and we’d have to wait. Extremely frustrating when their check out time is 11 AM and we arrived 12.5 hours after that.. keep in mind, they also knew we were coming. Finally got a room on the third floor.. and then we found out the elevator was broken. We get up to the third floor and two cleaning ladies are standing in the hallway on their phones and scramble into the rooms once they see us. The room itself was hot, there was water damage on decor, and things were rusted over. I do not recommend this hotel.

Picture from online was was nothing like room, bedding and sheets had stains. Room was very out updated and not clean. I was very disappointed and not satisfied. Update hotel and get new bedding and furniture

When I arrived in my room, several issues were immediately apparent. The phone in the room did not work, the carpet was ripped, and the floors were stained and appeared very dirty to the point that I did not feel comfortable walking on them. The bed looked messy and did not appear properly prepared. In the bathroom, there was hair on the walls, which was very concerning from a cleanliness and sanitation standpoint. Overall, the room was in unacceptable condition and clearly had not been properly cleaned or maintained prior to my arrival.

No shower mat to prevent falls, room wasn’t cleaned well. Some staff where professional and some wasn’t professional and would gossip about guest or follow them around. The staff and some mangers need better training and guidance, and better accommodation for others who don’t speak Spanish and show more respect to guess and have better customer service skills. Lack of training it shows with the way they behave and act very unprofessional. Overall I may not book with them again if this issues aren’t corrected

Let’s start with the greeting from staff. I don’t think your should ask your guess if this is a business or pleasure trip. It was also weird that the key system was down, which made things even more weird. The bathroom did not look clean & the toilet did not flush. It is also pretty unfair to be controlling the heat at night when it is 30 degrees!!

I arrived at around 8:30pm and the carpark is not at all well lit and this hotel is not in the best condition or location then again depend on your choice Extremely old hotel. I booked the room using Expedia and was told I needed to pay an additional $20 for incidentals, then when I left and came back to the hotel my room key was deactivated. When I went to the front desk the clerk told me my card declined/ Expedia got paid but it must be because of the incidental fee before reactivating the room card.

Absolutely NOTHING was to like about this place. Strong disturbing smell soon as you walk in the door of the lobby. The room also had an old smelly smell had to spray room spray to try to cover the smell. Went out came back and there was a huge roach in the middle in the floor. Had to checkout immediately location should honestly be shut down.

1. the bathroom has no exhaust fan and the room window cannot be opened, which makes the situation after using the toilet extremely uncomfortable. 2. housekeeping threw away my prescription medication, even though it was in its original packaging and placed inside a large plastic bag. As a result, I felt physically unwell during my stay. 3. I placed my quilt on the sofa, but housekeeping assumed I no longer needed it and removed it, leaving me with only a thin bedsheet at night. I was very cold and could not sleep properly. 4. my pajamas were placed by housekeeping in the lower compartment of the bedside table where slippers are stored, which made them dirty and unusable. 5. both the bathroom door and the room door are very old and difficult to open and close, adding further inconvenience to the stay. 6. Renovation in the neighboring room started early in the morning, with constant hammering noises and a strong paint smell. I was unable to rest, and after waking up I felt dizzy and unsteady on my feet, likely due to the fumes. Despite the seriousness of this situation, the front desk showed no apologetic attitude at all. Even more concerning, the hotel manager did not come to inspect the site personally and only sent other staff to take a look, which reflects very poor management and lack of concern for guest safety.

The hotel is in a slightly questionable area and there were some sketchy people around. We had to park our car through a gate that was lit but was a bit scary to walk because of the surrounding area.

The room is spacious and the location is exceptional if you need to do something on the downtown area. The staff was friendly and the process of checking in and out was fast. Definitely will recommend and for sure if I’m back in Houston, I will be staying there.

Hotel always clean and fresh smelling I love the aesthetics. BUT I wish you all didn’t remove the clouds in the room it bought the rest of the color in the room and decor! That’s what made yall different from the rest of the hotels. I do feel that you all should steam the carpets and furniture to remove the stains from the chair and ottoman

First i see Courtyard as a more up scale stay. I pai 114, the next door neighbor didnt stop making noise all night. The staff looks like there hanging out and are half asleep. I had to kill a big roach and when i told the front desk she sound like it was a normal thing and it was ok for my experience. Nothing like is there anything we can do for you. The cable was showing the channels it wanted.

When we checked in, we were given a room that was not clean. We went up and waited patiently we were not rude. When the lady came out we said thank you, Gracias. Nothing was said to us, then they come back and knocked on the door and acted like we’re gonna have to leave the room. they may say they didn’t but they did. and we were just wondering why the attitude was that we did something wrong….I know mistakes can be made, but it was not handled well at all

My friend and I had a terrible stay. When we arrived very late at night and tired we were hit with a very strong gas smell. We were concerned and asked the front desk host and he laughed it off like it was normal. We slept with out balcony door open scared it would be an explosion.

Check in was easy. Parking was gated and only accessible by scanning room key. I was on the first floor and could hear neighborsthrough the wall. I was only there for one night so it wasn't a huge issue for me.The room was clean. Carpet was a bit worn. Tub a little worn near the drain but clean. Various stores nearby. Staff was very helpful.

The front office manager "Mrs Pies" is an absolute rude woman, we arrived to the hotel an hour before check in and I we wanted to know where the restrooms were and she interrupted my question with a " Check in is at 3" high voice if could cancel my booking at that moment ive would it done it. She was being rude to every guest that entered the building. The hotel is clean but old, the elevator wants to move before the door closes, the ice machines on one side of the building do not work, the ac was really loud. Would not recomend and would not stay again.

Everything was great, but we arrived a little early and the registration desk lady was a little rude because she didn’t even look to see if there might be rooms available for us to at least put our luggage in so we had to sit out at the pool until our rooms are ready, but the minute the original registration lady Left the other lady said yeah sure you can check in. The original lady did not even take look up our names or anything there was nobody at the hotel. I’m sure the rooms were ready. We just wanted to put our stuff in and go sit by the pool in our swim swimsuits.

Last minute trip and decided to stay here. Front desk was very friendly and explained everything. Once she realized my room was on the side that the door wasn't working she changed our room to the other side of the hotel so I wouldn't have to go all the way around which I really appreciated. There is a 6.50 charge for parking which is fine BUT, I wasn't told there would be 2 separate charges for incidentals and 10.00 for parking, When the $10 charge came through at almost midnight I called front desk and the clerk at that time had no idea why I was charged. The next morning at check out I brought it up and I'm assuming a manager explained there are 2 separate charges which is fine but I wish I would've been made aware so I wouldn't have freaked out that my card was being charged twice. My thinking was it wouldve been taken out of the incidentals since I wasn't told there was a separate charge and it didnt get taken out at check in.

The staff was really nice and pleasant! The hotel itself was really rundown and needed to be remodeled. I had to change rooms three times. Every room had something wrong with it. All had humidity issues because there was no ventilation in the rooms to release moisture - Texas is hot and humid, so that is really essential. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls as a result. Every tub faucet and shower head leaked. I don't know when the last time the elevator was serviced - it was slow and wobbly. It has great proximity to the surrounding business hub. One of the guests who was there on a work trip as well mentioned that he had stayed here multiple times but stated "it's not the best, but you get what you pay for." So with that being said, if you are okay with potentially running into the aforementioned situations, at least the staff is really nice. I personally would not recommend at stay here if looking for comfort.

The room where I stayed was OK. I didn't like that the lavatory is outside the bathroom area. I also felt like the lady at the reception was annoyed because I had questions. I tried smiling and talking to her but her demeanor never changed and had an annoyed face the whole time, only with me. She did provide excellent customer service to another person that was checking in before me and up to this day, I still wonder what was it that I did wrong. It was my first time in Houston and didn't know some of the rules of the hotel. She told me that I should've read the small letters at the bottom of my receipt so that I can know the rules. I was also told to move my truck away from the front parking area because I was not allowed to park there. The gate in the right side wasn't working, and the one on the left was partially working, almost scrapped my truck getting out of there. The ice maker machine wasn't working either. On the first day I arrived, I noticed the restroom by the lobby was covered in vomit. When I was checking out, I made a quick stop at the same restroom and it was still covered in vomit, I didn't get to see it clean. I stayed in this hotel for 2 days and 2 nights. Even though the hotel met my needs, due to hygiene concerns, I am never going back to this place again. One star for cleanliness is way too many.

Perfect location. Friendly staff until we were wrongfully accused of being loud. We were out of the building the whole day, came back all but to be told we had 3 noise complaints. It upset me to the core but I just let it go. Overall, I slept like a baby, the location was perfect and front desk staff were awesome.

Room had an odor upon arrival, toilet was unappealing due to hard water stains inside. Shower water was not hot, (Luke warm at best). The TV had volume issues, sometimes no sound, to blasting loud in the middle of watching. Parking gate only worked on one side, and elevator stopped working, and were on the top floor. The staff was very helpful though, and made adjustments to offset issues.

No one was to be found when I arrived and another group waiting to check in informed me that their check in system was down. Once someone finally came back to the front desk, I inquired about how long something like this typically takes and they had no answer. My son and I waited almost an hour and a half to check into our room. When we received a room key, we went up the the second floor to the assigned room and noticed a bag of trash sitting next to the door. I tried the key and handle several times and the sensor kept flashing red. My son and I trekked back to the front desk to ask them to reset the key and the gentleman who helped us seemed very inconvenienced. We were assigned to a different room where a giant cockroach on the ceiling greeted us. Otherwise, the room was decently clean and the pool was nice. Besides the evening staff, everyone else over the next two days was very kind and helpful.

We got back to our room and apparently the fire alarm had gone off in the hotel. I called the front desk, she put me on hold, so I waited and she never picked the phone back up. I called back she hing up on me, I called back again, and stated to her that I was in my room and the fire alarm was beeping every 30 seconds, she stated that the fire alarm had a mechanical error, so the alarm company would have to come out in the morning. She the. Stated that the hotel was completely full, so she could comp my stay if I wanted to go find a new room for the night, this was at 1:00 am

So outdated and the worst sleep I ever got at a hotel. The pillows were too soft, the room smelled like an old damp place and everything needed to get renovated. Peeling walls, dirty curtains and shower. The staff was friendly enough but this place is way due for an upgrade to be Marriott. I won’t stay here again.

Room was very musty and smelled like mold. Ac unit was very loud and sounded like it was on its last legs. Overall the place felt like it was a cheap landlord special remodel. Fixtures were very old and leaky. Place should definitely get new carpet. I don’t think it can be cleaned anymore. On the upside the desk did offer gated parking at night once the parking spots in front were all occupied.

When we arrived, we were informed the elevator was broken. They accommodated us on the 2nd floor. Thankfully, we were not traveling with anyone that could not climb the stairs, so this was not that big of a deal- it happens. The most dissatisfying portion was that when we got to the 2nd floor, it was noticeably warm in the hallways. This should have been a clue because it was almost as warm in our room. Despite trying to adjust the temperature, it never got below 78 degrees in our room. The AC was clearly not working, and the room was relying on the fan blowing only. Didn't sleep well because of how warm it was. Was just ready to leave in the morning. Thankfully, we had only planned for one night stay as could not have stayed a second night like that

We went to check in after making reservations more than a week prior and found they down graded the room to something smaller that would not fit out needs. At no time did they call or email beforehand to tell us. When asked about it, they said they didnt have my info on file. I find that curious because i had gotten two previous emails from them. We cancelled and went to a lesser Marriott. We are unfortunaty disaplpinted in the quality of what onve was an excellent, upper scale hotelbrand.
