Great rooms, food, and staff was amazing...

The building had security, the staff was phenomenal, the room was comfortable, and the location was very close to our family. I definitely will be booking here again in the future. My only complaints were the elevator was out of service, which was not too bad since we were placed on the second floor. Besides, a little exercise never hurt anyone. And lastly, the center of the tub in our room felt a bit concave and unsteady while showering.

We visited the hotel bar and I must say thar Deja, the bartender, waa awesome and makes great cocktails. We were chatting it up as od we've known each other for ever. She waa very personable and shared that she's been a bartender at the hotel for around 2 years. She is definitely an asset to the hotel. We did experience one additional mishap during our last night. The bathroom sink handle broke and the water would not shut off. Although this caused a minor inconvenience, I must say the maintenance staff handled it IMMEDIATELY and for that we were grateful. We understand things happen but the response to those things are important. We will definitely visit again.

The room I stayed in at the Champions Club and Hotel was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. However, there was a water leak in the bathroom, and the drainage system was poor. The best thing was that I slept very well thanks to the bed cushions.

The restaurant had good food. But the outside of the hotel was riddled with roaches and water bugs. No lie. I had roaches crawling on my car as I was leaving in the parking lot. And there were many roaches on the ground at night and during the day. I couldn’t even believe it. I seen a brown and white albino roach too.

Pretty property it was quiet. Room was not very clean. The bathrooms updated. The fixtures need replacement or at least repair. The shower was dripping the entire day. Never could shut it fully off.

The shower dripped ALL night, the air conditioner was INCREDIBLY loud and the room was hot all night.

I don't have pet so I don't know. The hotel is intended for Poker Players, it is near asian concentrations, you can find good asian food restaurants, markets, and all others activity here along Bellaire Blvd., and nearby

First of all, I didn’t realize we were staying at a low budget casino. We were met with armed security guards at the door, and what appeared to be, “working girls” in the lobby (based on how they were dressed.) The hotel smelled like old carpet. Our bathroom was not clean. We found hair in the tub. After we complained, a lady from housekeeping came in, but there was a language barrier, so she did not understand our complaint. She just wiped around the floor. We called her back and pointed to the hair in the tub. She finally cleaned the tub (thank goodness!) The bed sheets looked like someone had already slept on them, so we asked for new sheets and had to put them on ourselves. If we weren’t so tired from the drive to Houston, we would’ve asked to cancel the room. Other than the nice people at the front desk, This was not a very good experience.

We loved the size and style of the room and bathroom! We received great house keeping everyday and appreciated the waters in our room every time we came back! Also, we loved the food from the kitchen that is very affordable and the security in the front is very friendly and professional.

The safety of the Hotel was very impressive to me, and the care that the front desk and management showed says alot. And I definitely cannot forget the champagne on ice for our Anniversary was a definite win. Thanks and we will definitely be staying there again the next time we're in Houston. Air conditioner started to warm up --started off cool, but didn't seem to keep temp. Carpet when we got off on our floor didn't appear to have been vacuumed recently. Room was clean enough. Appearance was just kind of worn in general. Lady at the front desk was very nice. Did not have automatic doors coming into the hotel and only when we first got there did the security guard open them for us--otherwise we struggled to open the door and remove our bags.

They were rude as can be with no self awareness of where they are, but other than that it was fine. Nothing to brag about, but also a great budget friendly hotel. I would not stay here ling term.

we had our anniversary in Texas and it was our first time in this hotel and state. Champion club was very generous and gave us an anniversary gift and was very hospitable. The rooms are clean and tidy. we will visit again!

The staff are very nice. The hotel has been renovated recently so it feels rather fresh. The room has some smells, maybe someone has been smoking or vaping before. So it makes it feel not so fresh and clean. No room service during our two days stay.

Loved everything!! The service was amazing. The staff was welcoming every time we walked by. Love they serve food and drinks till 2am. 10/10 stay The one time we did try to order from the kitchen they closed early. It was a slow night so I completely understand closing an hour early. Would’ve love a call to the room to make sure we didn’t want anything. Other than that the whole experience was a dream!

The desk is too small, the smallest one among hotels we have stayed. There is no shelves which is very rare in a hotel. There was a single chair in the room which was inconvenient for 2 people to stay.

This hotel looks like a 2 or 3 star hotel that they cheaply repainted and refinished to try and call it a 4 star hotel. The entry doesn't have an automatic door to get bellhop carts in easily and there is an armed security station that is in the way upon entry. Customers of the "poker lounge" were smoking immediately outside of the main entry doors so there was no way to avoid breathing in smoke when you enter the main doors. The room was clean with new finshes but you could tell it had been quickly updated since the hinges on the door to the bathroom were rusted and the drywall was left unfinished around the toilet paper holder. Again, this is at best a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star place.

Nice place and good location to Chinatown. Staff was nice. Kind of weird if you aren’t expecting the poker club, but everyone was very nice. Pretty clean and nicely decorated.

Clean accommodations, super friendly staff, and a level of security that is top notch. My family and I felt extra safe here. My husband and I look forward to visiting again without the family to take advantage of the poker room!!! All in all, a great experience.

They lyed about pool be open it was green they drain and refilled without cleaning would never stay there again and would not recommend anyone esle to stay there.

The unique features of this hotel are a poker club and affordable room prices. Because the plenty of guards, it is safe to stay here. Our room was spacious, but there was no microwave or glasses. There were curtains, but they were not blackout. The room was lit all night from the street lights and headlights, even though we used the curtains. It was noisy because of the nearby Sam Houston Tollway. We did not have a chance to check the swimming pool. The breakfast was expensive ($20 per person) but delicious. It is better to find breakfast options nearby, but we did not have much time to do it.

This is a hotel on top of a Poker hall. Interesting combo. I stayed here a few times. It’s always clean and comfortable. Probably not family friendly.

It was an amazing new experience. Never stayed in a poker themed hotel. The amount of security is kind of startling, but at least youre safe! Loved the lady at the dront desk, Ms. Shantie! Very welcoming, very funny and has a great attitude! We will be back.

Shower was pretty sketchy. There was a large crack in the bedroom wall. At 3 am there was loud clanking noise in the walls. Decor was nice.

The hotel was so so. The check in was not great. I waited maybe 20 minutes, granted it wasn’t the person who worked there fault it was the guest but that was strike 1. The hotel security was top notch. The area is a little sketchy however I felt good that a security car and guard was there 24/7. Another strike was paying for a late check out only to be woken up by house keeping and having to explain we had late check out to 3 different people. We ended up just checking out at noon since we woke up and the Customer Service lady was great by removing the fee. Over all was an okay stay.

I always visit Houston every 4month for conferences and this has been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s clean and comfortable and for the price it’s a great choice. I highly recommend

I love that the property is so close to everything I’m driving distance. The room was very nice and they communicated throughout the day if i needed anything. The pool wasn’t open when i was excited to get in it but it was closed, and the only other problem we couldn’t watch tv for 3 days which sucked. The bar food for breakfast was good. But i will definitely stay again

The room was just what we needed and very quiet. The location is just right for the main purpose we came to Houston. It’s safety is admirable and very secure. The rooms are bug and comfortable and eventhough its near the main freeway, the minimal noise from outside doesn’t bother your rest.

This is my first time staying at this hotel. The place is safe and easily accessible to the freeway and Chinatown. The security and the rest of the staff are very nice. They send you text alerts to see if you would be needing anything during your stay. Highly recommended.

The metal detector coming in and out of the building and property checking by the officer everytime is a bit much for me. But I do understand why,seeing as how its a poker tournament location in the building it makes sense.

Stay was ok. Not great to be woken up by the smoke detector after a 20 hour drive especially at 2am. The staff (front desk and security) did a great job with rectifying the situation, but I think this speaks volume about basic upkeep of the establishment. The rooms were spacious and staff was very friendly. 5 stars to both. Unfortunately the experience negated any positive views of the place for us.

Well maintained close to many amenities. Only thing I'd recommend for management is to add ice machine on the floors.

All in all great value. Not a kids hotel due to poker room. Window AC unit makes some noise if you are light sleeper. Also try to get room not facing highway.

One of the things I really appreciated was the location—it's conveniently close to a variety of dining options and restaurants, making it easy to grab a quick bite or enjoy a nice meal without going far. Additionally, the easy freeway access made getting around Houston much more convenient. The only downside I encountered was a minor issue with the restroom, where the water was continuously running, which was a bit annoying during the night. Despite that, it was a good stay overall. I'd consider coming back for the great service and convenient location.

This hotel looks nice from the outside but as soon as you enter the property, it’s completely different. You have to walk through a metal detector and the security guard will check your bags and luggage. The front lobby is a large open poker room. The room itself is okay however the bathroom definitely needs some remodeling. The tub and toilet were definitely run down. The hotel is good if you need something for a night and single but definitely not family friendly.

The hotel is very professional, with multiple follow-ups to ensure guests are comfortable from arrival to departure. I love the theme, and the furniture is new and clean, though the bathroom had a slight odor. Staff provided immediate assistance with any room issues when needed. The location is quite close to Chinatown, offering plenty of places to explore. I would stay here again in the future.

We got there late at night and where greeted by security that instantly made us feel safe since we were traveling with our daughter and the check in guy was so nice he even gave her a coloring book and it was such a nice stay and everything we were doing for her birthday was within a 10 minute drive definitely recommend

The stay was great. The hotel was well secured and very safe with security staff. All staff were friendly and very helpful. The only issue was the leaking cosset in the tub, which was minor compared to the great service.

Bed sheets don’t look like they had been washed because the bed was full of hair so I did not sleep on sheets

Amazing, everyone is friendly and seem like they actually love their job. If you play poker they have poker tournaments (I don’t so I don’t know much about it) security is there at all times due to tournaments. They are very polite as well, love to crack jokes. The room was great. Hotel was great. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel may not be ideal for business travelers, as the staff seems primarily focused on guests using the poker facilities on the first floor. Additionally, there were several maintenance issues with the room during the first two days of the stay.

It is an old property but it does not show it. Very nice renovation.

Everything was great and clean

The elevator did not work, and the bathroom and shower had water problems. Water pooled in the shower, and dirty water from the drainage was coming up. I am glad we were only one night there.

Facility and inside the main floor is nice but the bathroom tub had mold around the tub and the tiles were painted, which were chipping. My tub was clogged. I was locked out of my room 3 times during my stay.

The front desk team provided excellent services and always very courteous. The security staff were excellent as well. Its is a poker club this higher security is required which I've taken as added security during my stay.

They make you go through a metal detector and have your bags inspected by armed guards each time you enter the building. Had to park on gravel because the small parking lot was full. TVs in the elevators were broken.

It smelled dirty and the dining area wasn't represented accurately. Customer service was terrible. Hotels.com was not able to reach manager after many emails and phone calls.

We lost power around 11pm and there is no air flowing in the room. Around 2:35am in the morning, the power came back and lights woke me up. We didn’t really sleep at all

They should include breakfast in the stay

The hotel was very nice and modern. Our room had an off putting smell. We sprayed Lysol and room spray but that didn't change anything. It smelled of stale smoke which was a huge difference from what the halls smelled like. Also, for it to be a new hotel, that bathtub was lacking! It wasn't properly cleaned so we had to improvise. The water from the bathroom sink got hotter than the shower. I wiped everything down with Clorox wipes. The bathroom sink wasn't properly cleaned either. Overall the check in process was smooth, security was friendly, and the staff were accommodating! The bathroom would likely keep me from booking again.

Located in a very nice part of town. Although it does suck to get searched every time you enter the property, I felt incredibly safe and the officers were all very chill. My only gripes are minor. I didn’t like the sinks as they splashed water everywhere likely due to the design. Also, we only had one mini trash can in the bathroom and never received one after requesting it. Again, pretty trivial. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and the price was reasonable. Would def recommend, especially if ur into poker.

Was amazing had a good time . Security was awesome what a wonderful team. Front desk was great . I’m not sure the female name but it was the female that check me in when I first got there . She went above and beyond she’s great I love her personality. She made me feel like I was home .

A very good property for the price. They could use a fresher look in the rooms bathroom. The security is there because of the poker tournaments being played 24/7. But it is pretty innocuous. Everyone was pretty friendly.

Be prepared for a full search of all your belongings every single time you enter the hotel. They will literally go through everything you have on you, a huge invasion of privacy as this is a poker club facility. I would not recommend staying here unless you are here for poker.

Amazing great people great place . Best security i have ever encountered! Welcoming I decided to try every room so king suite first great size great price ! Then I upgraded to presidential suite greatttt price ! Huge! I want to spend a week there almost felt home! Day 3 I can only downgrade and there are only 2 rooms left to try I think . lol look for my next review they have a pool and room service I have to try :) Yummy !
