I am not sure why this place has such great reviews. The staff were friendly and amazing, that was the only good part. It’s in a very bad section of town, nowhere to get food except a gas station or dennys. The hottub did not work, I called ahead of time and asked and was told yes, it was ice cold and no jets. While I was attempting to get into the pool there were people doing drugs (pretty sure it was meth) in the grilling area by the pool. The man kept trying to cat call me. The pool was dirty and is also beside a truck lot so all those men are just staring at you. Very uncomfortable. The room was clean enough. The bed was really worn out. Going to the hotel was the only miserable part of my vacation. If you just need a place to stay on the road, I recommend. For a vacation, absolutely not. I recommend closer to downtown. I only booked here bc of the reviews that are wrong and it was near my friends house.

We liked that there were washers and dryers. The sizes of the room and the kitchenette are amazing! We liked the location, we were right by the highways, multiple restaurants and even Walmart. Prices of store items at the hotel could be a bit cheaper.

Property was nice, i took a pet and they were nice towards her and space wise. Room had no dog related smells either - bed was a bit too hard, my husband preferred to sleep in the love seat. The bed and lack of kitchen services. The small market on site was well equipped though

How clean it was

If we were doing any sort of extended stay, this property would be the go to. The kitchenette is a great way to save money. No actual ice machines for instant ice. at least none on our floor.

I have to change the bedsheets myself instead of them. Also I have to go get my own towels downstairs and the air barely work in the room and they had a smell in the room that’s wasn’t right!

The beds were old and broke down, the room and hallways stunk. I wanted to go to the hot tub, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while the water was green and had lots of leaves

Very clean for the value and close to the highway. I stayed there for 4 weeks until I closed on my house. We were able to cook in the kitchen and wash clothes downstairs Too many people smoking weed by the pool area.

There was a rattling noise that we could hear in the middle of the night that made it hard to sleep. Also, we pre-booked 2 rooms & due to the weather conditions our 2nd room occupants couldn’t make it but the front desk attendant wouldn’t allow me to change the2nd room into my name

First I reserved a king size bed so me and my son could share and have plenty of room. Walked in and realize it’s a queen size bed which I paid a little more for the king! Second walking in the bathroom first thing I see is a roach crawling on the ceiling. So needless to say it isn’t good!!

Front desk wasn’t mindful sticking a non kid “couple” next door to a family with kids. Having to start the “wall/bed” shaking from next door convo at a young age wasn’t fun. Do better!

For the price the room was very nice. my truck window did get shattered. I take fault for leaving stuff visible in the backseat. Other than that, the staff were accommodating and nice.

Ozonator to clean smells. We booked because we wanted the pool since we live in Texas. I got key checked out room the windows do not open there is no outside air, I asked the front desk for ozonator in room and the said they did not have one. Just a couple minutes gave me a migraine and asthmas attack. The hot tub was broken and pool heater too. I request to cancel n get a refund and Ibwas told to ask manager in the morning. I went Nextdoor to the Mustang motel it was nicer cleaner half price and not moldy!

This was beyond what I expected. Very clean. The bed was so comfortable. It was a small getaway for us and they had kitchen utensils. We loved it so much, we extended our stay! Staff really friendly!

This location provided me the type of stay I needed during my trip. My only issue and it was not major, was there was not dishwasher tabs/soap or dish soap provided so that I could clean dishes. I loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the sink and cabinets with a clean towel, but I would have preferred to start the dishwasher for clean dishes.

The room was quiet and comfortable. The walk from the car to the room was short and easy. The laundry facilities were in great shape. The kitchenette was just what we needed. This was an incredible place and the price was equally pleasing.

Absolute joke customer service. They charged my card used for incidentals for the price of the room after i had paid for it at the time i booked it. Also Hotels.com has not provided any help at all. Long time user of hotels.com and will no longer use them.

I will never stay in a Candlewood Hotel again. The Front Desk service was terrible. From the Front Desk to the Laundry Service was terrible. They need to be retrained in customer service. On Tuesday there was no water in the entire hotel for several hours and on Thursday the electricity was off for more than 5 hours. This is unacceptable. The hotel should have it's own water system and a generator for when the electricity goes off. Jyst uncalled for. Poor management on behalf of the owners or who ever managers this property.

The First Night I Stayed There. There was a Roach In The Room They Change My room and there was Fleas in the next room I should have caught the hint from the Maintnance man. I called to corporate and manager and she was rude and didn’t care. She advised to find somewhere else to go. I had planed this months in advance this is a nasty place.

Overall the place was nice. We needed a printer and the one they had for guests was broken. The tub/shower diverter was not working correctly and the tub spout was loose, probably from guests trying to pull it up harder to ghet more water to the shower.

After almost 20 hours Travelling when we entered at the reception at mid night a dog gave us a warm welcome. First of its kind experience. Upon request the receptionist tried to remove the dog but seems he was not much familiar so he called another colleague who helped removing the dog. The rooms had limited amenities while the condition of equipment were not good. Towel rod was broken and hardly able to bear towel weight itself. The bath tub drainage was not working properly. The hotel has a wonderful practice of cleaning rooms once a week (as told to us). Perhaps this is an initiative towards green environment by reducing the consumption of detergent and cleaning accessories. The staff strictly follows No-Smile & No-Courtesy policy as it may be harmful to the guests’ health. Oh by the way, we accidentally figured out that the above fabulous amenities are only limited to I-45 Candlewood Hotel as one day we mistakenly landed at I-10 Candlewood and the receptionist out there showed great courtesy and guided us professionally with a great smile to find our place.

We chose this hotel for its convenience to the airport at a good price and I’m so glad we did! This hotel was comfortable, roomy and very clean other than something splashed on the curtains which they probably just missed and I will let them know at check out. The room has space to spread out, a mini kitchen and work space and even a recliner. We didn’t need all that for this trip but it made the room feel spacious and roomy. I was a little concerned when I pulled up based on the hotels surrounding it but I would certainly stay here again and once on my floor would pit the appearance and comfort against any other hotel. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable. Being this close to the highway and airport I was surprised at how quiet it was.

This hotel is clean and convenient. The staff was very helpful. The only suggestion I would make to the hotel management is to turn the hot water heater up. The water was just a shade warmer than Luke warm. It was not hot.

I normally stay here when I come to town and everything would be good but this stay was not great at all the mattress was sulmed and worn and you could feel the springs in the mattress and the hot water did not get I was there for two days without hot water front desk kept telling me that plumbers was working on the water but not for two days and they didn'nt try to accommodate me at all with this situation and the manager on duty acted nothing was wrong but I kick up enough fuss that they changed the mattress the next day but still did'nt resolve the hot water issue.

The hotel clearly knew there were problems with the water when I checked in and they didn't inform me. They couldn't provide basic amenity to guests and they didn't shut down or notify guests. Hot water comes from the boiler on the property. It is the hotel's responsibility to have services when they rent the rooms.

Although the staff was very nice and attentive, it was not cool that they allowed people from to come from the other 2 hotels and hang out all day and night. The pool is a designated bring your own weed bar after 5 and I'm guessing if you can't afford the room then the lobby couches are there for you. I do understand that we have to choose our battles with people, but it gives the hotel a bad look, its already tough being between 2 sketchy motels.

The only odd thing was a strange smell in the hallway that was pretty strong, but once we notified the front desk it got better but it didn’t go away. The staff was very friendly and check in/out was easy. Other than the odd smell the stay here was very nice. It’s also located near a lot of places to eat and shop at which made it convenient.

When we arrived there were cops at the front door. I asked the desk clerk(very nice lady!) what was going on. She said this hotel housed kids for Texas CPS and the cops made rounds at intervals to keep them in line. As I’m talking to her, my husband calls me from outside and says don’t check in, we are leaving. He saw about a 14 year old boy going car to car in the parking lot checking them all out. The kid kept a threatening look at my husband the whole time. I’m glad we left. We went to motel 6 and it was a really nice place, very unusual shape and not typical for them with a gazebo. I think Candlewood is a dangerous place.

Room was super clean. Loved the mini kitchen. And the shampoo they offered in the shower. Definitely would recommend.

The room me and my husband stayed in only came with a spoon. No other silverware. I requested extra silverware or plastics as we had nothing to eat with and I was told housekeeping would bring it they never came. I was given one room key and one parking pass I sent my husband to request a key from the front desk and they treated him poorly. I have been staying in this hotel the past few months due to insurance fixing my home. This most recent stay I wouldn’t recommend.

We fell in love with the place! Love the fact that we can make small meals for our family.

Desk staff both the check in and especially Nanitsha needs to understand their job is not to explain how hard their job is but to DO IT. Don’t complain to customers about your job. We have our own jobs to complain about.

The living room tv didnt work and we had asked about a crib or playpen hours before we arrived and they said theyd have one put in the room for us and there was not one in there.
