Great overall experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my coworkers, friends and family!

Worst water pressure I have ever experienced in a hotel.

The property is going through renovations because its an older building but do not let that stop you from staying here. This building is beautiful and the rooms are modernly luxurious for a great price. I had a great city view too! The staff made themselves so readily available, and they interacted with each other joyfully- not pretend. Thank you also to the valet Yemi, for his assistance. I had a late check-in and I felt very safe. Also, the location is fully surrounded by several restaurants and cafe options within good clear walking distance.

3 stars due to renovation and the closure of some of the areas.

A lot of unexpected fees suite room 1800 was super clean the shower kind of sucks don't put your clothes next to it because there's no door to actually close the shower no place to hang a towel, wash rag or your scrubber the valet park is a little ridiculous. And also take into consideration that this hotel is under construction but with him doing construction it did not bother us at all. And we seen so many people 6 to be exact that couldn't find check in the registration is on the 2nd level. And remember keep your key cards out you can't move up and down the elevator without it.

I didn’t get the name of the young woman who assisted us while checking in but she was more than helpful, there was a special request I had made that was taken care of after me and my wife left the room. She did a great job! Everything was perfect.

Nice and clean hotel downtown Houston. Close distance to the stadiums and concert venues. I enjoyed the bar/restaurant area they had. I’ll be back again.

The hotel room was very lovely and the staff was very kind. There were some things if I had known I would not choose to stay there. There is no microwave in the room you have to go all the way down to the lobby in order to use one. The hotel has very thin walls you can hear everything that’s going on in the hallway. Also they are not upfront that the valet is your full deposit. I asked the front desk about valet if it was an additional charge and she said it was included with my stay. Which isn’t true. I also decided to stay an extra night and I had to pay an additional deposit of $100 I never saw that money back. For a single night using the valet twice equaled to $100 that’s kinda wild. I didn’t even know you could park your own vehicle in the lot next to the building until the last night I saw a guest do it.

Staff was nice and helpful. Room and common areas were clean. The A/C in our room was fantastic. Elevators were SLOW, and seemed to stop and go where they wanted, despite what buttons were pushed. The bar and little snack area were definitely overpriced, even for a hotel in downtown Houston. Valet service was great, fast and friendly, but again, expensive.

The hotel was on close proximity to many restaurants and local area attractions. The onsite restaurant was limited in its offering which wasn’t a big deal because of the hotel location.

The rooms were decently clean but had areas that were missed during cleaning. The valet staff was nice but every interaction we had with the front staff was awkward / unhelpful. There was also construction on the building that blocked the parking area and we were not made aware of where to bring our car so at one point we were unable to get back to our room. We were also told we could park our car for free however after parking we were told we could not park our own car and instead had to pay $60/night for Valet. Overall it was a decent stay but next trip we will look for somewhere else.

beautiful hotel nice to walk around in downtown Houston the only additional cost to take into consideration is parking since it's valet only.

Front desk staff when checking in seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Checking out was a better experience. Only 1 elevator working is ridiculous. The AC didn’t seem like it was cold in my room.

What was most disappointing was being charged for valet service even though the valet staff could not drive a stick shift vehicle, so we ended up doing everything ourselves. Considering the inconvenience and cost, I was hoping the establishment would offer some type of compensation or adjustment to the valet charge.

The convenience of location to Daikin Park, rooms were fantastic, and staff was so courteous. I was not a fan that there was no swimming pool, breakfast was a separate charge, and parking was a bit strange. I opted for the valet, but to avoid that fee, I would be so lost with parking.

great stay! Super convenient to the Convention Center and Toyota Center

Me and my wife only stayed for one night after an Astros game. Very easy walk to stadium. What a nice clean hotel. Doing some renovations at the time but wasn’t a bother. Service all around is great. We ate breakfast before leaving and food is big portions. Definitely a great place to stay.

When it comes to the staff ALMOST every interaction with the front desk felt dizzy! No one was knowledgeable about what was what when it came to extra charges on the card. I have attached th booking pic. However $100 was held for deposit then the day of check OUT I was charged an additional $100 no knowledge/warning for the reason and spent 3 days getting back the extra $100.

I paid $59 for valet parking, and I was called at 11:30 at night to come down and move my own car because they didn’t know how to drive a stick shift. Never clean the room had to ask for towels two days in to our stay. Not worth the money.

We loved our stay at Cambria. It was so close to the convention center & the MLB stadium as well as the public train & many restaurants. We ended up staying two extra nights - the staff was great. Loved the lobby space and the bar. Def recommend!

We did not eat at the hotel, but the rooms were great as was the staff we interacted with. It is very convenient to any downtown activity and we had a great view of the fireworks show after the Astros game! The only criticism I have is that the elevators are VERY slow. But, I would love to stay there again.

Pet friendly, staff was nice, no trouble at all was an easy stay. Only thing was the elevator would take forever on the first floor, but other than that excellent.

Also the staff was yelling while cleaning the other rooms next to us at 10am right before they came into our room without notice or knocking. You can hear clear through the walls.

There are restaurants all within a few blocks .. we usually have no complaints about this hotel except elevator is incredibly slow but we just use the stairs, but this time check in was an hour past time and at these prices a free drink or something would have been nice, also had to call desk twice for safe not functioning. Three days and no housekeeping at all.. Plus was the valet staff… They had excellent service.. overall we would stay again but next time will stay else where..

The hotel was magnificent! One of the most beautiful buildings there, that you can spot it while we were walking around downtown. Had a great valentines weekend.

It was good overall, I would have appreciated a more premium meal for what I paid for 3 days. The bistro wasn't operating on regular hours due to the Holiday season either.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Every member of the front desk staff that we interacted with were so kind! The room was clean and as advertised. There is a cute speak easy with a great view of downtown. Parking is expensive but there are plenty of cheaper overnight garages in walking distance. The elevators are slow so just give yourself time when leaving. Overall great experience and would stay again!

This hotel was great! The problem was the valet parking rates for guests, breakfast was too expensive and no breakfast for paying guests. Overall it was too expensive for 2 days stay. The view was awesome and surrounding areas were great but won’t stay here again because it was $59 dollars a night just for parking. No free breakfast!!!! I will go down the street and get more for the same price!

The elevator broke down and the front desk didn’t not support. We stayed on the 17th floor and had to go up the stairs with this happening. The air conditioning was good in the room. The room was relatively clean and the view was nice. No onsite breakfast other than a restaurant you pay for.

We stayed here as part of going to a convention at the center, which is a short walk away. The hotel itself is ok, clean and comfortable for the most part. What they don't advertise is that the parking isn't included and is crazy expensive so if you are planning on staying here do some research and find a nearby garage that isn't so pricey. Also, bring some earplugs if you are planning on staying here on a Friday or Saturday night because there were literally loud cars racing up and down the streets all around here all night long. Where were the Cops? Who knows.

There was only one working elevator and the heat did not work. Also there was only one attendant at the desk to check in so it took very long and I missed a reservation due to lack of working staf.

The hotel is nice but the bathrooms are not set up properly, no where to hang towel while in the VERY Open shower . The sliding barn door does not close all the way so privacy in bathroom is limited. Overall the room was nice but the bathroom could use some changes

If the hotels want guest to use towels for multiple days, it would be nice to have more towel racks. This allows the towel to dry for use the next day.

The front of the hotel was shut down, so finding the entrance and getting up and down the steps was challenging with luggage. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel

Wish there were more nearby activities excluding drinking. Aquarium was nice but pricey for what they offered. Loved the hotel staff, so helpful and friendly.

An extra $100 was deducted from my account besides the $100 already removed upon check-in for incidentals fees. According to front desk "it's the system that automatically does it", so i told them so it's $200 for incidental fees. They said no because as soon as you check out the $100 go back to your account. Then what about the other $100 which are still pending to be returned or deposited back to me.

It has been newly remodeled and is so nice! We went for an Astros game and they even had the hotel lobby decorated very cute for the Astros. We had drinks at the hotel bar afterwards and the decor and atmosphere were wonderful. Rooms were clean and decorated nicely. Absolutely will stay here again.

Hotel was easy to locate. There was construction across the street, we heard the noise early in the morning. Valet parking was convenient. We didn’t try the food or bar. Drinks and snacks from the self service store were very pricey! Two elevators were down, it would take quite a while to go up or down since we stayed on the 5th floor. Staff was friendly. Beds comfy. My complaint with the room is that it seemed it had not even been cleaned before us, there was hair in the carpet and bathroom floor. My daughter and I were there for a concert during the weekday, it was easy to walk to the center, I was too tired to ask about the cleaning when I noticed it late at night. But it did make me feel yucky when I showered, so I had to make it quick! Hopefully, if we stayed there again, it’s cleaner. The room was very modern, my daughter was happy with her trip and our stay.

For the most part it was a good stay. However, the bathroom setup makes no sense. There is nowhere in the shower for to hang your wash cloth or whatever one may use, as well as nowhere for you to put any other products one may use; such as shaving cream, razor, face wash, maybe even soap. It’s nice that they provide soap but they should still consider that their guest may not use or like what they provide so st least have an area where the guest can store theirs. The bathroom is worse if you’re not traveling by yourself.

The hotel itself was great. The reasons that I’m not giving them 5 stars all around is because 1. Parking is limited and unless you pay for valet, you will be paying over $100 to park in the lot next door, 2. They charged me $200 for deposit for “incidentals” which is outrageous 3. I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the thermostat in our room and it was 62 degrees the whole time we were there. I called the desk several times and they said they would send someone to help me and bring extra blankets and they never showed up. We had to sleep fully clothed just to stay warm!

It was not told that there would be a $100 deposit along with full payment at check in. Also, they said the $100 deposit would come back if we used their valet service, but had to pay $60 for their valet.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. However, there were only three working elevators, which led to long wait times with the heavy concert traffic. At night, there was only one valet staff member, which caused significant delays in retrieving vehicles during the concert rush. Otherwise, the hotel room was clean, and the location was convenient within walking distance of the concert venue. Overall, it was a good experience.

My friend Jewel had never stayed in a hotel before and was very impressed with the size of the room and bathroom and was very thankful for the free toothbrush when she was silly and forgot hers.

Everything was good. Valet persons were nice during our goings and comings. The lobby was nice, all the staff was friendly. Our room was clean. We got the city view. It was beautiful. Loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. Checking out was quick and easy too. Definitely would stay again

The hotel charges a parking fee of $60 per night. If you got a great deal on your stay and don’t have a car, this hotel is an excellent choice for you. Given that parking is expensive, it's often better to use Uber for transportation, especially if you don't have to travel far.

Each time I chose to ride the elevators, they took 15-20 minutes after the button wash pushed. valet took forever, too.

I’ve been to a few Cambria’s but this one didn’t feel up to par. The stay wasn’t bad the room was clean and the staff was very nice however there were some things that could have been better. The room was very clean and we had a view of the baseball stadium which was cool cause after games you can see the Jumbotron and people walking around. The only major pain about everything is finding parking they charge $50-$60 per night just to valet it or you have to park it in a garage for $20 and walk. Not to mention street parking has a limit of 3hrs so it’s really a problem for over night parking. The other issue was the walls were pretty thin we woke up abruptly to a dad yelling at his kids to make it down stairs for breakfast…2 days in a row and at night you could hear them all yelling and running around. They also claimed to have a laundry room for guests on the 3rd floor, but there’s only 1 washer and drier for a 20 story hotel. The room is small and hotter than a sauna and it was wonderful to find damp clothes in both the washer and dryer so I don’t understand how it could accommodate anyone who wants to use it. Lastly, at checkout they told me someone was attempting to put a tab from the restaurant on my bill. It’s not all bad there barely any traffic or noise in the area and it’s semi walkable but you’ll need a car for most things. Overall it was an average stay not terrible but definitely felt the amenities were over hyped.

It's a nice historic hotel in Houston. One of the oldest buildings in the Downtown area. They kept some of the old features, like the mail drop chute at the elevators, which is a nice touch. Service is great. The restaurant is good, but I ended up eating at other places. Walking distance to the convention center and baseball stadium.

We loved our stay at the Cambria. The room was comfortable. The staff was amazing. They went abov we and beyond to help us. We are small town people and don't always understand how to get around in big cities. They showed us how to use the free transportation. The food in the restaurant was good. We were there to attend the baseball game. We were close enough to walk to the game. We would stay here again.

No tv and had to move rooms due to ac not working. Really my issue was having no television to watch in my room.

We had a great day. It was very clean and the atmosphere was awesome.

The walls were very thin i heard a couple having sex loudly all night long next to me. I was on the 13th floor my tv channels didn't work, the phone didn't work, i waited in lobby for 25 mins no one came to counter although it was after 3a. so i waited and called on my cellphone from the room. i called the front desk 5times and no one ever answered. I was so pissed i couldn't sleep due to the loud noises next door finally i just put my Bluetooth music on the tv to block out the sounds The parking was horrible and it was 40$ i will never stay here again! customer service didn't exist during my stay. To spend 200 on a one night stay was a HUGEEEEE disappointment forsure.

The stay was great, the only inconvenience was that the TV/Cable was not working properly, supposedly the internet was working and you would be able just to connect to the internet then connect to the TV but I wasn't willing to go through all that when I just wanted to watch regular TV, other than that inconvenience, everything else was great.

We were very disappointed with the room we got the toilet didn’t work very well. It clog up the water didn’t run through well! They didn’t offer another room??

We chose to stay here due to the close proximity to Daikin Park. However a server went down early Saturday and was not fixed. No notification went out to the customers. We could not buy anything from the back bar without having your credit card on you. Again no notification so going back up the the 14th floor to get it to pay $5 for a soda. The front desk clerk was apologetic but offered nothing, and no manager present to manage this pressing issue. We will never stay here again.

Cambria was great! There’s a little construction outside the building on the side walk that takes away from the Cambria sign. It’s a quiet area close to the astros stadium and fans were in and out but still respectful of other guest and quiet. The restaurant inside the hotel was pretty great and had good breakfast options. When I checked in the incidental fee was less than I thought which was great news however I only use my cashapp card on vacations and was informed that cashapp takes a while to return if they do the hold which I appreciated. I let them charge my card and just refund me at the end of the stay and I received my money back in 3 days. The inside of Cambria is lovely! The build of the hotel along with states and gold accents were about 100 years old as I was told and looks beautiful. There are 21 floors and I stayed on the 14th floor. My view was construction but that’s okay my room was very neat and clean. There’s a led mirror in the bathroom with a bluetooth speaker built in that I loved and the bathroom is very spacious. I did not care for the see through shower with no door I felt like water was getting everywhere but that wasn’t a big deal! The staff was super courteous and I wouldn’t mind staying there again. No issues the entire stay, good food, friendly staff and areas to walk around! Parking is $59 a day but I uber or had some friends pick me up. Book your stay because it’s worth. We were going n Houston to watch the Astros and chose the Cambria for its location. The hotel and staff were wonderful, they were friendly, informative and willing to help in every way.

The location couldn’t have been more convenient. Daikin Park was just a short 7-minute walk down the road, and there were plenty of food and entertainment options within walking distance, which made our trip even smoother. That said, there are two things worth noting. Valet parking is $60/day, which feels excessive for hotel guests. Also, our room door was unusually heavy — not a huge deal, but my wife genuinely struggled to open it a few times, which was frustrating. All in all, a great hotel in a perfect spot with an excellent team, but hopefully management takes another look at the valet pricing and a few small details like the room doors.

This place was amazing...so well designed and decorated with both modern & historic feels. Everyone was super friendly and it was such an easy walk to bars/restaurants and Daikin Park!

Walking distance to and from Daikin Park was perfect and even though we did not eat at the restaurants there were nice places nearby to eat at. Even for a one night stay the Cambria is a great place to choose. From the accommodating staff to the cleanliness of the rooms. The stay there was excellent!

Staff was so courteous. Valet, desk, bar/restaurant and security teams all made our stay safe, easy and enjoyable.

Much better than previous years. They even left a charcuterie board and champagne in our room for our anniversary.

The decor was very nice. The view from our corner room was fantastic during a thunderstorm.
