    Beds were just okay. Pillows and bedding were fine, but the mattresses seemed hard and kinda worn out. Breakfast was pretty good. Some different options each day, which was nice. Like that it’s included in the price. What they do not tell you about this location is that it sits next door to and adult entertainment business. Not what you want to see next to your hotel. Also, they start cleaning rooms pretty early. They use a large vacuum with a really long hose. That vacuum is very loud and always in the hallway. Don’t plan on sleeping in.

    The parking lot was very well lit for safety. The sign at the entrance says you need your room key after 10 pm but that was not the case. Saw some sketchy individuals come in after 10 pm that you know were not staying there. Strip club was just across the street so wasn’t crazy about that… The bed was very hard. My wife and Did not sleep well those nights. They need to invest in bed toppers to make it more comfortable. The breakfast was good and fresh. Although it was well kept and clean we will not be staying there again.

    Employees was very rude. I had 5 in my room 2 adults 3 kids 14,14, and 13. We asked for towels and wash cloths after we turned in the dirty ones and they didn’t want to give us any. Thank God I brought a few of my own from home

    This hotel was so incredible. I felt so at home here. The environment itself was amazing, easy access to the freeway, and all the eats and shopping you want is literally in walking distance!!! The breakfast was exceptional ? and I would like that to thank the omelette lady that makes the most meaty and vegetable omelette I've ever eaten!!!! Thank you Best Western Ashton for an amazing stay. Looking forward to staying with you guys again!!!

    The Hotel itself was nice and clean. Staff, not so welcoming. I had a very bad check-in experience. I was very transparent that I needed to add extra guests. I explained that plans changed. I was willing to pay the extra fee but the clerk made is seem like I was being a major inconvenience. Stated he needed to call his boss. Once boss approved, I was charged an extra $30 per night. I walked out to get my family and luggage. When I entered, clerk was waiting at the elevator and aggressively approached me stating that I lied about how many guests I was having. We had a bit of an argument about our conversation. He then walked to his computer and realized he did charge me correctly, according to the number of added guests. He did not apologize. He just let us go on our way. He was very rude. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. This will be the last time I stay at a Best Western.

    There was people parking from across the street inside the hotel parking lot. There's a gentleman's club across the street and stayed up late outside. Staff was very picky and not very friendly. Although the rooms were nice and comfortable and clean.

    The breakfast was good, there were several hot items to choose from, as well as other options. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and courteous. The only problem we encountered was the people in the room next to us were extremely noisy, to the point where we could not sleep. We did report this to the front desk, and they did address the situation. We were given a later check out time so we could get some rest. We really appreciated that.

    The room and amenities are okay. I took off one star for the following reasons: (1) the building is not sound proof as you can hear and feel the tumbling on the floor when people are walking, and (2) the front desk service was not good at checked in. The website said we could request a crib. The front desk said they didn’t have any cribs. I had to go down to the front desk and request linens for the sofa bed for the kids. Otherwise the hotel is great!

    The staff was beyond rude. My room had cockroaches, and we cut our reservation early because of this! Breakfast was suppose to be served until 9am. At 830 there was nothing left and they weren't making any more. I had a guest come visit and was yelled at by staff about only have three people on my reservation. Mind you my friend didnt stay they were just there to help because im in a wheelchair. Their were 3 on pur reservation but they would only allow us 2 towels at a time. There were no towels for the pool. The pull out couch had no bedding at all we had to go get some from the front desk they wouldn't bring it up for us. You could definitely tell they are cost conscious because you weren't even allowed to take your breakfast upstairs so they can assure who is eating it. It was crazy stuff like this.

    I was not pleased with my stay for multiple reasons…. They charge you extra for having guest in a space that you have paid for; regardless of their length of stay. Only “registered” guest are allowed to get in the pool; although he claims that wasn’t why he was charging me...     I was not pleased with my stay for multiple reasons…. They charge you extra for having guest in a space that you have paid for; regardless of their length of stay. Only “registered” guest are allowed to get in the pool; although he claims that wasn’t why he was charging me...     I paid for hotel and they told me I get was holding my card 100 for accidentally fee it will be release then I check with my bank and they charge me 97 for my room for no reason there was no damage or nothing I left the room clean they told me my 100 will be release but it wasn’t I had to dispute it my bank I will never use this hotel again

    When asked for extra pillows, he said there were none. He managed to find one and told us that guests brought their own pillowcases when extras were needed. (Due to a medical condition, it is necessary to almost sit up to sleep & not always possible to travel with extras). The water was lukewarm at best - his response was the water is hot. The clock radio had a USB port but the radio did not work - his response was there is nothing wrong with the radio. We were not complaining but thought management would want to address the problems for the next guest.

    The staff was very unprofessional and was trying to charge me for a guest sitting in the pool area with me. My guest did not get in the pool, only sat at the table with me. When getting breakfast the lady in the dining area kept staring at my kids while they were fixing their food. Then she started following my kids around even though they were being supervised by me and their father. She would stand right behind them while fixing their food and after my daughter finished fixing her waffles and added chocolate syrup the lady took the syrup and put it in the kitchen. The cameras can be checked to verify this information.

To make matters worse, there were only two towels provided for six people. Even after asking for more, we only received two additional towels.     I was highly upset that the pool is closed. One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was the pool. They have the shortest at breakfast time available. They will knock on your door 5 minutes before checkout. They do not want guests in your room after 9:00 p.m. feels very much like a prison. I was told that I had to pay for an extra guess if they were going to be in my room after 9:00 p.m.

    The pool advertised here does not exist, which was a main reason for choosing the hotel. Its across the street from a 'cabaret'. While the room wasn't filthy, it was definitely surface cleaned only. Ladybugs in the windowsill, on the pillow, dirt/dust in corners including the fridge. I have pictures. Almost pulled teeth to get extra towels. My fiance' was denied extra blankets& pillows (we booked for 4 all of this should've already been in there). My personal favorite was the posted signs that you cannot take breakfast back to your room. Its served from 6-9am!! So my 11&12 year old kids never ate. Also only pork sausage I don't eat pork many do not. Same muffins from the day before. When we came back at night, they blocked the drive on one side with a hotel van as a security measure to create one way in/out. I guess....they steal cars around there? Overall I wont be back.

    Our room did not get cleaned, despite communication with the cleaning staff. When we asked for clean towels, because we didn’t get any, we were told to exchange the others first. We had to pay an extra amt for a child- despite us having already paid for a 2 bed room with a sofa sleeper. (Only 3 total in room). Breakfast was lacking the basics and offered an omelet bar, but there was no one to make them. The idea that I can’t receive reward points for the stay because I booked through Expedia is also ridiculous.

    We booked 4 nights due to the houston storm/tornado and our power came back on sooner than centerpoint had told us so we tried to check out early so we could go back to work and kids could go back to school. Management refused to let us check out early and just pay a fee. They charged us the full stay PLUS MORE due to my 2 youngest babies. They are very greedy during a natural disaster. Every dollar counts right now because we lost an entire refrigerator and freezer worth of food and our entire fence line collapsed which home insurance does not cover ON TOP OF losing many hours at work. We werent asking for a free night and wouldve been more than willing to pay whatever cancellation/early check out fee. So many people are still without power, they would not have trouble booking that room again.

    This will be my first review on Orbitz. We are Houstonians and lost power for the past five days. The stay was good but spoilt during checkout. The communication was terrible. I asked for a late checkout earlier to the incident and I must have misunderstood it was okay to check out at noon. The manager called the room at 11:03 and said it is time to check out. I told him I had asked for the late check out with the other person. He said I am the manager and she doesn't have authority to allow late check out and I need to be out of the room now. He also said he was going to fire her if she allowed late check out. He was going to check the video to see what was agreed. The manager is treating late check out discussion like a crime. This is bit of an overreaction for the situation. I felt unwelcoming immediately. I can tell the manager does not have any level of empathy and does not belong in the travel industry. No patience, no willingness to de-escalate a situation or listen, jumping to conclusions and accusing the guests! We left at 11:30 am with a resolve of not coming back to Best Western!

    This hotel is run by cheap Indians. They don't know anything about customer service. Cutting corners and charging for everything possible. If you are staying with family, you will be charged for each kid. They even charge you a toothpaste. Breakfast is a joke at this hotel. I will never recommend anyone stay at this place.

    This morning at 8:45 am, I came back from breakfast and as I was about to shower, a cleaning person came right in without knocking. I was certain I had manually locked the latch, but didn't notice the L-shaped upper door latch "deadbolt". The front desk said that their keys won't open the door knob latch, so I guess I might not have locked that, but I really thought I did. Either way, double-check the locks... As a word of warning for travelers, they have a strict 3 pm check-in policy. I travel a lot for work and sometimes get to hotels a bit early. Most hotels just let you check in if your room is ready, or otherwise let you know your room isn't ready yet. This hotel wanted to charge $25 plus tax for me being about 2 hours early...Just something to consider if your travel may bring you to this hotel early, so you'd be better off with a different hotel.

    We were in town for a long weekend soccer tournament. We wanted the option of preparing our own food versus always eating out so the kitchen option was a plus. We had a private bedroom and a sofa bed that was perfect for our needs and it allowed for us to not always be on top of each other. The location was perfect for us to get back and forth to the soccer fields as well as other activities close by. The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was an added bonus with hot and cold options. The laundry room was a much needed luxury to allow for continually clean uniforms during the tournament. We will definitely book here again when we are in the area.
