Best Western Plus Downtown Inn & Suites

Large room, complimentary coffee, on site parking and the pool! Such a nice place to relax after long day as it is open till 10pm. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection with waffles, cereals and hot buffet. The fee for parking we only found after the confirmation- also could have been already included in the price at least for 1 car.

Rooms were clean, staff was professional/helpful and breakfast was good.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The entire staff was very personable and helpful. I was traveling alone and felt safe. The hot breakfast had many options so I never ate the same breakfast for the three mornings I was there. They do charge for parking but they closed up the parking lot at night and had two security guards in the lot to checking vehicles to allow only prevent non-patrons back in to park. The best part was that It is less than a mile from Daikin Stadium, which is the reason I came to Houston.

It is close to downtown for a less expensive price. But, you get what you pay for and it is just a basic hotel room and space. The breakfast is "meh" but they did have a waffle machine! Coffee is free and available. It is very serviceable but has a Motel 6 vibe. Worth the money but set your expectations accordingly.

This hotel was convenient to downtown Houston. We arrived before check in to use the pool, but were told we had to wait until check in. So don't come early. The room was very clean and fresh. The pool and hot tub were very clean as well. Don't bother paying the on site parking fee. There is plenty of free street parking, which makes the $20 plus tax fee ridiculous. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, I would have liked to see a coffee pot in the room. Also, it would have been nice to have a pump hand soap rather than bar soap. They also need to replace those old microwaves in the rooms. The room was spacious with a couch and a desk. The gym was small with limited equipment, but clean. The free breakfast looked pretty good.

Which was upsetting since I'd paid for two queen/full beds. Also the room we were moved to was fine however I could hear music from outside and also was woken up around 2:30am because people were talking and laughing pretty loud in the lounge area. We had to be up around 5:45am to leave so this was a bit upsetting. Since I prepaid with Booking they said they could not refund me the difference however she said I could have 20% off our next stay or not charge for the parking fee. I chose no parking fee.

The room was spacious. Wi-Fi was fast enough for our work. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The hot breakfast was varied and tasty. There was a security officer monitoring the parking lot and building at night. Our only complaint is that the bed sagged in the middle, but it wasn't enough to cause a bad night's sleep. Overall a wonderful experience!

Honestly, I was surprised by this place. It seemed to be new, no funky smells, rooms were very nicely kept, no wrinkly sheets. Evening staff was a little cranky or just wasn’t very accommodating. However the night staff and morning staff were all so sweet and respectful.

We stayed here for four nights in a 2 bed room. The room was spotless, modern, and quiet which was great for a good night sleep. The cleaning staff kept everything tidy in our room. Breakfast had a great variety. The jacuzzi and pool is nice. We will definitely return! The eggs had a slimy texture and I was not able to eat them. At the time we arrived to our room, the phone was not working, and the safe was not working either. But the staff took care of the issue immediately.

The overall property feels somewhat worn, and the elevator, especially when reaching the 4th floor, felt unstable and concerning at times. Additionally, the room had a noticeable musty/old smell that made it feel less fresh than expected. I was also disappointed that parking was not included. In my opinion, hotels should offer complimentary parking for their guests. On a very positive note, I would like to highlight the excellent communication prior to my arrival. I contacted the hotel to ask whether they had EV chargers available, and they kindly informed me that they have three chargers on-site. They were also very helpful in confirming the charger model and type, so I could verify compatibility with my vehicle and determine whether I needed an adapter. That level of service was greatly appreciated! :)

Pool isn’t heated, or didn’t seem to be. It also wasn’t the cleanest so just beware of that but I also went during off season so it’s possible they only upkeep it during peak usage times. Didn’t really impact the quality of my stay as it wasn’t hot enough for pool time anyway. And the water wasn’t really dirty but it was extremely chlorinated, the bottom was just gritty. You get what you pay for with parking it is extremely safe. This is coming from someone who would walk miles rather than pay for parking

Charging for parking after paying for the room is diabolical.

The pillows are super stiff, thick and uncomfortable, and they are all the same no choice of softer pillows. They charge for parking, should be included. They charge for "early" check in, even if room is ready, they try to charge unnecessary fees in an already poor value stay. Freakfast is ok, motel-style junk food. Elevator is slow, and only one small one, and the cleaning staff uses the same elevator, very lame. Front desk lady is strict, inflexible, just wants to charge fees, answers the phone while still checking you in, poor manners. Overall it as overpriced. The location is central, but nothing nice within walking distance.

Low rate for parking $20 per vehicle with security all night. This was a big one for us and the location is so close to all the good spots.

We could not be happier with our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even helped locate a pair of earrings I left behind. The hot tub was amazing and the pool is beautiful. I love the location and that there is security guarding the parking lot. The only thing I would change is possibly requesting a top floor room because there was a lot of noise and squeaking coming from the ceiling that woke us up every morning. Otherwise the hotel is phenomenal. 10/10 recommend!

There isn't a great deal around the property. It appears a club or two have opened nearby, as I could hear much more music than in previous visits. Additionally, the property now charges $20.00 per night for parking. I have stayed at this property since 2023, and this was the first time I had that charge. It does not make sense, as there are no reasonable parking options outside of the parking around the property.

The staff was wonderful. Super clean. Great value for the close proximity to downtown. A few blocks from the Buffalo Bayou running trail system. Not close to restaurants and only vending machines and frozen dinners at the hotel. Only $20 fee for gated parking.Overall, a great place.

The TV seem to have a lot of difficulties by buffering a good portion of time. Yes, the weather did not help, but even when it was clear there were still problems. The road leading to the parking in the back needs a convex mirror. We almost got hit going around by a car coming out while we were heading to the back.The staff was fantastic the whole stay.

Hotels.com says customers enjoy the “free” parking. However, there is a $20 nightly fee for parking. Whether this policy has been changed or updated, it is misleading for someone who is not expecting to pay an additional $20/day for parking.

Check in was easy no problems and the room was fabulous. The only thing is that on the Travelocity site. It said that parking was included however it was not there was a $20 charge for parking.

Not enough characters allowed to explain my horrible experience. Long story short Best Western locked my credit card with failed attempts to approve charges. I booked 2 rooms and called ahead so that they could approve the charges in 1 swipe. They approved the "incidentals" before I even flew in. When i got to the hotel they authorized the 1st room and before the 2nd swipe the staff member stated "it's probably gonna time out". On my end the charge showed pending but she said on her end it didn't go through. The next morning i called my financial institution and they told the staff member either she has to cancel the charge or wait until it is dismissed and reattempt the charge then. For the 1st two days of my 4 day stay i was treated like a tenant who is late with the rent money. This fiasco went on for 6 days. I was back home, monitoring my account, and keeping Best Western informed and their response was "ok we don't want to get the authorities involed" as if I was working a scheme. Fyi no one reserves 2 rooms months in advance, calls ahead to inform you of the 2 reservations being paid under 1 card by 1 person, just to show up and try to get over on you. The towel that i used was tattered and made my face and back break out in hives. Saving grace was i had a good time with my family at the events we attended. 2 things i learned.1 if you make a reservation through hotels.com go ahead and pay through them too. 2 j will not be staying at this Best Western ever again

This was a great property. Very clean and well maintained. Bed was super comfortable and the room cooled quickly. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe at all times.

Intimate property, with a pool and great breakfast options. I stayed here for Dreamcon and it was very affordable. My room had a fridge and a microwave so I was able to save and reheat my food if need be. There’s also a gym and restaurants all around. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Horrible staffs No privacy They just Walk in Your Room Complains About a baby crying like a baby can’t cry ? Don’t recommend goin there ! Save y’all money

We appreciated the water dispenser. Would have like to see BW not using single use disposable toiletry bottles. Comfortable bed, convenient location. We would definitely choose it again.

This hotel was in a great location for my business trip- several midtown meetings. It was clean, quiet, offerred a hot breakfast, and had great space in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, close to Downtown. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only issue we had was the bath tub was not draining well. Other than that no issues.

Lovely clean hotel, great value and location

Stayed here while in town for a show. The front desk was friendly, the lobby was clean and bright, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the parking was secure, which was a great plus. Didn’t take advantage of the breakfast because we decided to sleep in but it’s a nice option. Overall a great place to stay, would book again. There are “fancier” hotels in the area but for same the price point, the rooms are tiny in comparison. This place hit the spot between comfort and affordability.
