I accidentally locked myself out of my room #11 shortly after arriving around 7pm Friday. I called the assistance phone number posted on the office door for help. The woman who answered was very rude and suggested I had two options: sleep outside on the hotel property overnight or pick the lock "with a knife". What? No help, no followup phone call, just a refusal to come open the door to my room saying she was an hour away. The next day the hotel office was supposed to open at 9am according to the recording on the "assistance" phone number. No one showed up by 10:30am, stiffing me and another hotel guest that was there at 8:45am to check her bags before waiting for formal room check that afternoon. The room smelled musty/?mold, the pillows were a joke and smelled like they had been stored in an attic for years. I have requested a phone call to discuss a refund and have been ghosted.

It was small and quaint. The beach is really Close and walking steps. Parking easy as well. Really enjoyed my day.

It was across from the beach you could walk the beach every morning I loved that part being so close to the boardwalk was amazing.

So much to say wrong about this place. I didn’t read the reviews until after the fact. Was in touch with the property because I was afraid my room would get mixed up. They gave me one room as I was on my flight they switched to another room & said they would upgrade me the following day to another. Upon arrival the room smelled of mildew, mosquitoes everywhere, dirty, mold and walls were patched covering mold which seems to be from a leak from the wndow/wall ac. Horrible experience. We actually booked another place because it was unlivable.

I love the tranquility that the property emulates. Very cozy inside and an even better communal outdoor gathering area. Perfec5 place for private people whom loves to be outdoors. 10/10

Pros: Super close to the beach, which was the only reason I stayed for even a couple nights. Cute courtyard. Cheap. Retro vibes. Cons: Very old and not maintained; this is a case where the “retro” is original. The door had a large gap at the top; it was cold while I was there, but could be a bug problem in summer. The rug was disgusting. The whole interior was poorly maintained, which is sad because there is so much potential. The bed springs were horribly broken. No staff on-site; when I asked for help, a random guest (?) arrived. I ended up leaving a day early and spent my last night at a chain hotel, just to get a comfortable, clean night while I was in FL.

I planned this trip on a whim and wanted to stay in a quaint space close to the beach (I’m a lowkey traveler and find excess luxury nauseating; somewhere safe to sleep is my priority, always.) Ocean Inn definitely checked all my boxes. My room was ready for me upon my arrival and I had no problem settling in. The room was set up with cable television and I had a fridge, coffee pot, and microwave at my disposal. I was wholly thrilled to open my door and smell the ocean each morning. I will be back soon!!

Room was clean, Housekeeper gave me clean sheets and towels, noone was is the office. they send you code by email. The housekeeper was very nice. The room was super clean. Main issue is a women who lives upstairs, she is stone she and she was hanging around in the parking with some fishy men. But she was stone. She kept approaching me, and talking to me so, I travel solo I felt unsafe. The room was clean anfd the housekeeper guy was very nice.

It is an older inn within walking distance of the beach. The house keeper was great and helped us store our luggage after we arrived early from our cruise. It's more of an old fashioned motel than a modern inn but that's okay if you know what your getting. You literaly walk 100 feet and you're on the beach. Can't beat the location. Market and grill/bar within walking distance for food and drinks.

While arriving, I had to contact the hotel 3 separate times to get my check in information because I would call, the woman on the phone would tell me she’d send the info to me, then never did. She eventually did email it to me right before our flight after I called the FOURTH time. When we got there our information (including room number and code) was taped to the door and a lady told us our room number (who didn’t work there). We were worried about parking because there was no way to pay, and nobody (in the entire 5 day trip) was ever in the office for us to pay. Someone staying at the hotel said we would be fine so we were crossing our fingers the whole time hoping we wouldn’t get towed. The room was barely cleaned, we bought our own sheets and towels because it was pretty gross and you could tell the items were super old and stained. Walls are also paper thin so if you have noisy neighbors like we did, make sure you bring some headphones. I had to help 2 separate guests that were checking in at 1pm (when they say their office is open) on how to open their door and get into their room because legitimately nobody was there doing anything for the almost week we were there. It’s right by the beach so I guess that’s a plus. Definitely the bare minimum if not less than that, so if you’re okay with that go ahead.

Its right near the beach, walk out the door and get on the boardwalk. The room is just a place to sleep. Beding and pillows were old and pretty used up. Have a few drinks and just pass out, you wont think about it. Lol

The hotel was pretty good, clean and had helpful amenities like beach chairs and other things. The only unusual thing that I have never experienced before (I am a very seasoned traveler), was that we never saw any staff besides the maintenance guy on the third day, who gave us a fresh set of towels (we were there 4 days 3 nights). Other than that, a letter taped to the office front door wirh check in instructions and no one there when we checked out lol. Otherwise the hotel is nice and very close to the beach.

Budget hotel

To wash them. One ice cube tray and no way to get ice. Pop machine on deck was out of order and management was unwilling to put sign on it since it did not belong to the motel. No one was in the motel ever to ask questions. Lots of trouble locking the door with no one to help. Other guests also complained of lack of cleanliness. Would I stay here again? NO WAY.

It's only 2 blocks to the beach and boardwalk which was nice! They let us in early and everything was clean altho the towel rack in the bathroom broke when they put the towels on it, but that can happen anywhere

We were very disappointed that the staff took so much time to tone down some noisy neighbors who were having a day long birthday party in the center of the complex. Since the management was not on site, I had to call three times for them to come to the property. I was on the verge of calling 311. Management needs to have an onsite presence.

The floors were dirty

Staff was not around and very unresponsive. When we checked in we noticed that other people’s clothes had been left on a hook in the bathroom. My husband left a trimmer behind and we messaged them after we realized, with no response, to this date, weeks later. No one was ever in the office when we were there.

This was an excellent stay! Right on the beach and Calvin was great assisting with all needs.

The room was impeccable as far as cleanliness and ambiance. The staff couldn't have been nicer and available if anything was required. There were restaurants within walking distance and stores were within a short driving distance. The beach was a very short walk though visibility from the motel was not possible.

Location was excellent. Very short walk to beach and boardwalk. The facility is very simple and shows it's age, but was clean, functional, comfortable and felt safe. Met our needs very well.

If the room was clean, no midew smell .if the bathroom pail was emptied before we arrived, if the counter didnt have a foreign substance on them and hair wasnt on the bathroom floor, I would be giving this hotel 5 stars. And as for expedia.com , never agian .absolutely no customer support, no phone number no nothing . Just , please review this hotel and my inbox is full of expedia notifications.

The room was perfect for what I needed. It was a short walk to the beach. I arrived earlier than check in but was hoping to at least park and go to beach. Parking was minimal Maybe 10 spots total. Office was closed but man cleaning checked me in via his phone and told me room would be ready in an hour or (no biggie). However, I didn’t have cash to pay for parking to him. Office was never opened. I called and was told I’d get a call later to pay for parking via card. I luckily found an ATM and got cash and just left it in the room. But very minimal office hours I found. The room was just perfect for me for 1 night.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! we checked in and everything in the room was broken! Doors glued shut !we got the code via text well after 4pm which was the code to someone else’s room ! We stayed a night and got a call while out exploring that they checked us in the wrong room and were going to move our stuff without us present ! Phone numbers don’t work !! Came back and found cockroaches in the room ! They were not pamello bugs !!! Owner offered to exterminate our room the next day ???!! We checked out and Expedia could never reach the place by phone for a refund !! ! Ran down disgusting room ! Unwashed towels … mold and mildew !!!

Location The room did not have a balcony or a kitchenette like advertised. We got there at 3:45 check in was at 3:00. The room wasn’t ready and I didn’t see him take out or bring in clean sheets. The our door furniture was all stained and the inside of our room was old looked like mold on lamp shade. Couldn’t use the chair it was stained. They spayed the room with bleach when the cleaned. We took a walk and decided to pack up and leave we didn’t stay. Drove 3 hrs back to our Orlando hotel.

The room was not very clean. The microwave was rusted and filthy on the inside. The outside area is not well kept at all. The towels were stained. The tub and shower were meant for a child not a full grown adult. It is NOT right on the beach. We were only staying 2 nights but checked out a day early and went to a very nice hotel for our second night. There’s a reason there are no refunds with this place. Staff near impossible to get ahold of, never answer the phone or emails. Parking is near impossible. I took pictures but there’s not an option here to attach them.

The location is what I liked about the property. The bed sheets had hair of different sizes stuck to it, bathroom sink was broken, bathroom tub had hair stuck and brown stains, the towel in bathroom was arranged nicely but also had stain. I spoke with the owner who listened patiently and had someone come over and change sheets and give more clean towels. The person came and while changing sheets said you didn’t pick a 5 star place!! I paid over $150 for one king size bed and I can at least expected CLEAN sheets, towels, and tub!

It was near the ocean There was absolutely nothing within walking distance as far as food or drink.

The bathroom in particular needed maintenance but fit the bill for one nights stay. Some college kids were partying in the room next to us all night long. The loud AC unit drown them out. Convenient area, parking, and location to airport and beach. Not a luxury stay but a standard stay.

I arrived at the hotel at 6:15 pm. It had a cute outside setup, and the rooms were accessible from the outside. Very small amount of rooms. The office was locked! Apparently the office hours are 10am-4pm, but check in is 4pm!!! There were 2 phone numbers on the door. I called the first 3 times but no one answered. I called the next number which was a different property. She contacted someone to come help me. He came and tapped in a code on the door to open it, but it wouldn't open! He worked on it for 10 minutes and finally got it open. I hadn't eaten all day, but I was afraid to leave in case I couldn't get back into the room. The room was extremely old, but had potential. Unfortunately the floors needed mopping. My feet were so dirty after walking on the floors. The bed had a deep dip in the middle, toilet seat loose, blinds broken, tub rusty, and the list goes on. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

The housekeeper was there to great me! Very helpful, hotel is just basic but, good enough not to be scared to stay there. 1 block off the boardwalk, very nice to walk soak in the ocean. Fellow long stayers are very helpful also. Love the iguanas out you bedroom door!!!!!

Room had everything we needed. But the water pressure is horrible. We were in room 13 and there was no water pressure in the shower. For someone whos hot water is out and really wanted a hot shower finally. Well it was hot! But just a trickle. Very sad!

While i was getting ready, my son laid on the bed for about 10 minutes, and when we left found 3 bug bites on his legs. We were going to a 7:30p game at hard rock stadium, so couldn't really deal with it immediately, but when we got back from the game at midnight, we just got our stuff out of the room and got a room at the Marriott

Dont stay in this hotel they dont clean it i had to sweep the floor and go get my own towel... They do have theft too we left our beach chair on the balcony and someone stold them and my friends watch got stolen out of the room door was locked...

Tried to call the front desk but never could reach anyone and no one called me back. NEVER saw staff entire time. Couldn't sleep with light on. Sheets on bed had strains of hair. Filthy.

I love this little hotel. It's so quaint. The rooms are perfect for me traveling alone. I love the cute patio area. This was my second visit here and this is where I will stay when I come back to Florida.

We was here overnight for cruise next day. I don’t wanna complain but the rooms need upgrades Great Location, steps from the boardwalk. Beds are horrible, a safe area though. The outside area was nice place to sit for winddown. If you’re not expecting much this is your hotel!

It's about 17 miles from Fox car rental. Very quiet area mostly industrial. I slept pretty good. Booking.com didn't send the reservation in time. So had to pay almost the full price. Couple was helpful. Isolated spot but it's quietness was what I needed.

I went there for a staycation with my girl. The room is nice. A bit dated. Clean and tidy. Bed was comfy and the water was hot. My room even came with a blender for mixed drinks. Woo hoo.

I went there for a staycation with my girl. The room is nice. A bit dated. Clean and tidy. Bed was comfy and the water was hot. My room even came with a blender for mixed drinks. Woo hoo.

It is cheap for a reason. Service & location were good. They have chairs & umbrella you can take to the beach & a cute courtyard but that is the end of amenities.

We would stay again for a night before a cruise. Small hotel, they do have a few rooms on the 2nd floor so if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to specifically ask for a room on the first floor. Literally 2 blocks from Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk, great location. The air conditioner was kind of loud, which was great for us since we sleep with a white noise machine anyway but some people might not like that. We stayed on a Saturday night so not much construction happening across the street when we were there but I imagine it is a noisy location during the week with the new place they are building.

Started out great! I received a call day before check in to be upgraded to a sister hotel in a suite. When I got there the reservation was never done and my original room was given to someone else. They booked me into another hotel nearby but I lost several hours trying to get everything straightened out and there were so many issues!

This was just an overnight stay due to layover at FLL. I will admit I chose based on price, but was also happy to be so close to the boardwalk and beach. It is not a luxury spot but it was comfortable. I would not call it convenient for anything but the boardwalk and even then it is on the North end so a bit of a walk to get to restaurants/stores. Nothing to worry about really but if you prioritize being able to pop over and get a coffee within a 5 minute walk you will be disappointed kind of thing.

Property was extremely unresponsive to emails and calls. When we arrived, our room was open and the keys were left inside the room, which we didn’t feel comfortable with and no one was in the office to assist us. We decided to leave and book another hotel because of these things.

We were in town for just one day and wanted easy access to the beach boardwalk. We enjoyed the garden and just quiet relaxation time. Appreciated having a mini kitchen and coffee maker for easy coffee for our morning walk by the ocean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as we needed to have our bags held after check out due to a later flight out.

An hour later maintenance person let us put our luggage in office. Finally at noon the cleaning person showed and allowed us to put luggage in room while the room was prepped for 3 pm check in. Room was suitable for one overnight stay. We discovered the coffee filter screen was dirty and could not be cleaned but no one on premises to deal with it. Be aware of remote management with no on site personnel to communicate with. Typical 1960’s era motel with window unit. Wear sandals while in room. The bed however was comfortable. Quaint sitting area outside. 2-3 stars.

Definite old fashioned hippie vibe. Cute courtyard. 1 minute from beach boardwalk. Phil in front office is so sweet and helpful. Good value and would be my place of choice on Hollywood boardwalk.

In dire need of updating and cleaned. We couldn't shower due to the moldy shower curtain. The sink is falling off the wall. Nice location but needs attention.

Not easy finding it even with gps. Had to call to find out passcode. Very, very old. The hairdryer is a hazard. Buttons are missing, doesn't work and cannot unplug it because the cord box comes apart -dangerous. Not overly impressed.

I was up half the night killing cockroaches and after I finally fell asleep I woke up to find a lizard in my bathtub. This facility is very old and has rusty water to make your coffee with. We had booked this for before and after our cruise, but my wife was so scared to return we rebooked at another location And have yet to hear from oceans inn after calling several times and attempting to cancel through Expedia our ship didn’t make a port until 7 AM and Expedia says I needed to cancel before 7am for any refund so I am out $210 USD

We never met a staff member. Strange.

The nightmare began when we arrived and they put us in a room that was filthy with dead bugs everywhere and drawers that had no bottoms. We said we can’t stay here so they moved us to their “best” room: more dead bugs, wet sticky dripping insect repellent running down the only dresser and which none of the drawers opened properly and more insect repellent inside drawers, no kitchen utensils for our month long stay, no hand towels or dish towels, no dish soap, only one burner worked on the very decrepit stove, a coffee maker full of black mold. The person (an employee) next to us smoked all day and night and our room filled with their cigarette smoke even though we asked numerous times for them to stop (it was a non smoking property). When we opened the windows two screens blew out onto the street below. When we opened the blinds the whole header and blinds crashed to the floor. The shower curtain liner had orange slime on it . One day there was a puddle of water flowing from the bottom of the fridge. We called the desk, left messages, sent emails, left messages in the app, talked to the maintenance man who sat under a canopy all day smoking and begged for help. No one responded. They were completely absent. Homeless folks rent the rooms on a regular basis and according to the cleaning staff the rooms get trashed. I would never stay here or advise anyone to stay here not even for one night.

Just one overnight before flight. Room highly needs renovation. Construction site across - lot of noise until 10pm. Noise starts about 7am again!

The housekeeper is the VIP—he is the one settling guests into their rooms and answering questions, until at some point the office is open. The inn is located near the broadwalk and coffee/breakfast is nearby. While receiving instructions via email as to which room you have been assigned and the code to get in is all very “efficient” — most guests seem to arrive well before 4 pm and then have no place to leave luggage so at least they can explore while awaiting 4 pm. All staff was very cordial, and the VIP especially kind. Some rooms are lived in and an apparent disregard that there are weary travelers trying to sleep as you hear ranting into the early morning hours. Would I stay here again? They don’t seem to care if I do.

It might as well be abandoned because no one is ever there and they don’t answer the phone numbers given. The sheets smelled - Our room was locked when they said it would be open—One of the other renters crawled through a back window and got us in late at night which wasn’t safe either! This place should be closed down— Nobody cares!

Property has an ideal location 50 yards from the beach. That is the only thing this hotel has going for it. Very dated. Furnishings look like they were acquired from a garage sale. Shower had no hot water.

Nobody there to greet guests. There is a phone number to call at the office but nobody answers. This place is clearly collapsing and the owner is sure to be only waiting for a larger hotel to buy him out. This place should not be listed on any hotel sights.

We had a terrible time checking in because our location was changed and we were not notified. It ended up costing us two hours and a considerable amount of money to get to the right location. At the time, I was not very happy and it could’ve been prevented with better instructions.

No hot water. Ended up washing at sink with cold water. When we left the next morning around 9am, office still closed. They advised continental breakfast included. That was a lie. Room had to be left unlocked. We were concerned someone could come in after we left and take items that we would be blamed for. Terrible customer service model.

I wish that I had booked this hotel after my cruise as well. Very nice hotel with excellent service.

This property is very run down. Towels are crispy old and small. The room was missing smoke detectors. Paint was peeling off doors and missing in spots. Toilet was wobbly. Shower was old and rusted. Stains on the night tables from the lamps. The only good advantage was that the location was convenient.

This hotel should NOT be listed on Hotels.com! The bed did not have any bedding; the bathroom tap was ready to fall off; corners of the bathroom and bedroom were dirty; gaudy colours! The hotel never answered any of our 4 phone calls nor returned the messages we left. All in all, not satisfactory! And now they won’t give us a refund!!

Can't recommend... they didn't reply to the phone calls. Problems with conditioner, toilet, construction noise from 07:00...

Excellent location, really close to everything.

Nobody was at the property to check us in. They sent us a text message saying that the key and the parking pass would be in the room, but it wasn’t. Because I did not have a key to my room. I was unable to stay at the location, which by the way was horrible. People were outside blasting music and the hotel was very rundown. To top it off they have denied my refund because apparently I do not need a key to stay in the hotel room or a parking pass to park my car because you know I really wanted my car to get towed and the inability to lock the room door should not be an issue

Location is great. Cute little room, closet has a mini fridge and coffee maker. The room was tidy.

Microwave stove fridge and all utensils and cups . Coffee maker blow dryer quiet area will be back again. Friendly staff everything was so easy getting in and out just called to plan it out and ask questions beforehand. Restroom door didint lock but was not a big deal. Will be back :)

When we walked in to the room, there was only a big pile of sheets/towels. We tried calling the number provided on the door and nobody ever answered!

The property is really close to the beach which is great. The office was closed during their regular business hours and when I called their number in 3 different occasions there was no answer. I Left a message and no one returned the call. The place was decent with some maintenance issues. Parking is limited on property with an additional charge.

The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of just one is because the price was decent. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend it. My wife and I stayed there the night we flew in and left the next morning for a cruise. When we got to the hotel, the outside was ok. But going inside it just felt and looked dirty. My wife pulled the blanket on the bed to look for bed bugs and ended up finding blood stains on the sheets. Not a lot, like from a bloody nose, but still. The toilet barely worked and there was no warm water
