    Recently planned a little staycation with a couple friends. We saw blue wave was available so we book 2 rooms, when we got to the property to check in it was actually through Hollywood beach hotels which owns a few properties. When I recieved my keys I noticed that they had assigned me to a different property which is not what I booked. When I noticed i immediately let the front desk agent know, he then told me that there were no more rooms available at blue wave which was confusing because why would they allow you to book it if there wouldn’t be enough rooms?? I explained I had other friends staying at blue wave so me being at another property defeats the purpose of even booking with them. He then went & looked to find that there was in fact rooms available at blue wave which was nice of him. Unfortunately the room I received was so hot and humid that I did not enjoy my stay whatsoever. I’ve booked with Hollywood beach hotels a few times & have ever had such a terrible experience.

    I am concerned that the reviews on hotels.com are not fully legitimate because this establishment received a 9 rating and it was awful. One of the worst! The bathroom was infested with some sort of insect lavre. The staff was not pleasant and you pay $19+ for parking but parking is sparse. It is not a good place. When time permits I will be demand a refund.

    The kitchen isn't equipped with anything except the stove. The lady who checked us in was nice, but the first front desk staff we encountered was really rude. Parking was listed as $19, but we were charged an extra $20 for some fee.

    It was your typical continental breakfast toast bagels English muffins hard boiled eggs cereal coffee I booked for a particular hotel but they were owned by a corporation and when I went to check in they put me in a totally different building that was nothing like the pictures they advertise for the Blue Wave when we complained they told us people only stay in that building for one night and then it's noisy we're not babies we don't go to bed at 7:00. We finally told them it was false advertising they took us over to the building finally after us saying the room they put us in was not what we booked and they let us look at it and that was an old room again that looked nothing like the pictures they had online I asked the manager of housekeeping and she told us that there are no rooms that look like the pictures they use so it all false advertising do not book with this Hollywood hotels they are rude nasty people. They advertise heated pools they had the heat on until March 1st turned it off and it was ice cold the room we got was dirty the floor was covered in sand there were no hangers etc we asked when we checked in they told us oh yeah we'll bring you some the next day still nothing stay away from them I will never go back. Oh don't forget all the little fees they including everything. They advertise parking $18 a day we stayed two weeks with all their fees it was $250 absolutely rip off

The gentleman at the front desk provided the poorest customer service, neglecting us, dismissing us verbally, and exhibiting hostility as if he intended to intimidate my family and me.     Besides the inconvenience of the check in, the place was clean, comfortable, have heated pool and it is very well located! The check in process is at the office in the corner and there was no instructions to where to go. I had to call to get the information. Also waited 40 minutes in a line to do my check in.

    I had to eight and a half months pregnant friend that was with me and needed to sit in the room for a couple of extra minutes waiting for the Uber and they called the cops on her and then they also took my deposit never will be back and I was someone who promoted this group of hotels very much

    Second one is hidden fees. Supposedly with hotels.com you know already if there will be fees or not but NO. There was a variable daily resort fee of $17.50 we were not expecting, hotels.com is not reliable as source of information. Actually should sue for misleading information....

    I loved the property. It didn't feel like just a hotel room. My only complaint is the misleading photos on the booking sites. I thought I was getting a family unit with 3 actual beds. What we got was a 2 bed with a pull out couch. When I pointed this out to the man at the front desk I was treated like I was stupid. The pictures and description show and state 3 real beds. Update your photos to show what you'll really be getting. It was still a great deal and am glad I picked the place. Just don't like being misled.

    The blue wave is a part of Hollywood Beach Hotels, a string of properties owned by one management. The blue wave is one of the properties that needs a remodel. In the room was a very comfortable bed with clean linen. However, everything else was old and dirty. Walls haven’t been washed in a while. Basin sink gurgled and coughed up water constantly (I made management aware) and the outside area was pretty icky. The pool looks great until you get in and realize it hasn’t had some tic in a long time. The concrete needs a power wash. Check in was too swift, as in paper just keep getting tossed at me to sign…so fast I left my id at the desk. No please or thank you’s. Tuck shop in the office has a lot of stuff. I liked that. If I stay with HBH again I would try a property closer to the beach as I think those ones are taken care of a bit more meticulously. Thank you.

    Walking to our room there were people openly using drugs. We had to walk by and felt unsafe. Room was old and a bit smelly. Didn’t help with people drinking, drugging and smoking right outside the room.

    The morning breakfast offered enough good choices. The pool was a plus. Motel was very close to the beach and boardwalk both of which are outstanding. The room was nice and clean. If you want maid service you need to request it. They supply beach towels. Microwave and fridge were a plus.

    Breakfast was decent. 1/2 block from the beach. Pool on site. Full kitchen with absolutely no pot, dishes even after I asked the front desk at check in about the kitchen. There was a roach though. Expensive to park. Not updated bathroom, a bit grungy. Not very clean. Did not like having to walk 2 blocks for breakfast. Great location.

Be sure to have your parking passes visible in your vehicle. They tow vehicles quickly around the area if your not paying for parking. Location is great.

    Beware of this so called" hotel" first of all when you see others write good reviews about this particular one, they are lying or it's a fake review , i reserved a king size and they gave us queen and on a different street than what we were told on the reservation and the front desk people are the scariest ,bad tempered people and let's not forget about the disgusting bathroom and shower and i have the pictures to prove it! I didn't like anything about it

    I appreciated Wilson at checkin he made it easy for us but I feel like the check in at this place is out of control with huge lines and wait times for anything at this place. Painting the rooms and pressure washing would go a long way to make the place better. The location is close to the beach and that was the best quality.

    This hotel was a 2 minute walk from the beach which was amazing!! The place was somewhat clean but it was old and outdated (there were some cracks in the walls etc). The service is what made the experience here a not so good one. The staff was not kind or professional and even swore at the computer because something was not working. We onlt stayed for a short while (1 night) so it was fine, but to have to deal with that service for a longer time really would put a damper on your vacation.

    Was worth the price(low rates). The doors aren’t properly installed so you can hear everything, especially your neighbours arguing at 2am (happened two nights in a row). Rooms are good for what you pay for them. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and Want to be out of your room for most of the time, this is the place. Staff aren’t the friendliest, like to argue and yell at you. They were helpful to me but I witnessed them agree with multiple people. Overall a 5 out of 10. Sketchy area at night time

    My room was nearby the beach. It was clean and convenient. The cleaning staff were very friendly and attentive, but one of the employees at the front desk at Oklahoma St and Ocean Drive was very rude. I stayed six days in the same room with two reservations. I paid for a room upgrade to stay in the same room. I went back to use the second reservation the lady wanted to do another upgrade. My room #301. King Superior. The AC was too hot. The pool was hot. The bath needs to be fixed to look more like a luxury hotel.

The front desk is odd, not like a typical hotel. Very cramped but it has like a mini convenience store right next to the front desk which I thought was interesting “all in one” kind of thing. It could use some renovation but it was good enough for us. My best friend n I loved the board walk which is right there. We had a nice night!

    Horrible no me dieron el lugar que reserve, no te dan opcion es lo que ellos te quieran dar, no re devuelven tampoco el dinero, no te garantizan el parqueo o sea parquea donde puedas y paga extra para eso. Llegue a las 3:30 pm pues me dijeron que check in at 4 pm.. logramos salir del proceso a las 5 por la larga fila de personas.. y a esa hora buscar parqueo yo con una nina pequena… HORRIBLE NUNCA MaS!!!!!

    I was occupying room 608, the laundry room is 603, which right below 608, all night there was niose coming from 603. I did not sleep at all. There was no hot water for shower , so i would say the only thing gojng for this place is the beach location

After one night and late check out it was 340 dollars! Just do your own research people !

    This property was a chain of old motels that look like they received a minor update about fifteen years ago. Our room had an odd odor and was very dirty. The shower walls had dirt that looked splashed on it and the floors were filthy along the walls. The bed sunk down on one side. Due to the lack of cleanliness, we chose not to attempt the "free breakfast". The place would be okay if it were a cheap vacation and nothing else was available. There was no value in this stay other than the proximity to the beach. Will not stay there again. Do NOT recommend.

    The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and there was NO water pressure for the shower. I could barely wash my hair.     For each check-inn they will require a new deposit even if you are still staying at the Hotel. That policy sucks because you might have 2-3 deposits unhold with this place and still they will require you to put a new deposit if you check out and check in again because their rates at the front office are crazy, 2-3 times more than Expedia booking. And they won’t even listen to your complaint. Always trynna interrupted you by saying there’s no way to help you.

    Arrived there and there was caution tape everywhere filthy! Contacted Expedia to cancel the reservation an said I could not get my money back!! I reported this place to the building inspector I the city of Hollywood this morning! I was tossed out of one of there properties yesterday for making this company aware of the the hazardous conditions at these properties!

    The room WAS NOT what was pictured on website when booking. Had 1 office checking in/out all 24 properties which made check in take a VERY LONG time. After check in, had to request a "kitchen box" to have a make shift kitchen utensils BUT only had dishes for 2 in each and I had 3 people so I had to request and wait for a 2nd box to be delivered. Big burner on the stove did not work. Had to cook 1 pancake at a time since the frying pan was so small, which was very time consuming and inconvenient. Didn't have a big enough pot to boil a box of noodles. One box had serving spoon, spatula, and a can opener and the other box had a can opener & wine cork screw. Glasses were either a wine glasses or whiskey glasses, no juice. No pot holders or baking dishes were provided. Was told all reservations are non-refundable so when the false advertisement happened either you stay in what they give you or they keep your money and you go elsewhere. The room had cockroaches so slept with the lights on!!!!! Only 1 window air conditioning unit so when using the restroom, it was very uncomfortable. Cable kept going out even though no bad weather. All 24 properties shared 4 small pools.........which there were parties ALL NIGHT LONG and people who woke up really early and reserved all the outdoor area all day. No tables in room to sit and eat at, only had 1 small end table coming into room and beside table between beds. Door hinge loose so room not completely secure.

    Cleanness on the room was ok, mold on the kitchen wall, garbage surround the pool area, beer can, cigars, drink bottles etc., They charge you $18.00 for parking space but there is no parking space, you have to park on the street and pay $4.00 per hour extra, some staff charge $25.00 CASH to park in the 15 parking space available to visitor at the beach taking guest parking.

    The checkin process: the manager was scolding an employee in front of customers. Her computer was blocking her face and you could not hear what she was saying. Had her repeat herself. She was saying: “I’m a manager here and you are not doing a good job!” Total disregard for people listening! We paid a cleaning fee. You have to book cleaning service ahead. We had to ask for clean towels every day. Sometimes they never brought stuff you asked for. Spanish speaking only staff. If you called the front desk, they said they were busy and asked me to come to the office. Just not sure why the fee ? No control over other customers smoking pot in the evening and smell was horrible! Check out was easy. Pool was dirty. Does not seem to have a filter on all the time. The next unit over had a sewage problem. Instead of containing it, they washed it over to go on the street. Terrible way of dealing with it. It stunk. Breakfast attendant was rude. Questioned and yelled at children every day. Some days she put the eggs out, some days not. You pay for what you get. Sadly, they don’t have to be so rude. Spanish speaking staff very friendly and kind.

    Wilson is the only person in this location with manners, patience and a heart. I understand that running a business is difficult, but it is times like this when you have to put policy aside and do a human justice favor once in a while. I stayed one night with the option to extend my visit, but I did not because of the treatment I received. Had the right thing been done within the first 30 minutes of my arrival, they would have gotten 2 weeks from us, but they only got one, along with a bad review. 2:30 in the morning. Security game banging on our door. Again miscommunication on the behalf of the staff. we had to be up at 5. so imagine my displeasure... There is a kitchenette in the room but nothing else. if we had to check out pots and pans with a deposit, then this place really is attracting the wrong people. you guys really need to do better! The only good thing about this place was the fact that everyone is required to wear a uniform. They at least looked professional.

    Loved the cozy, clean rooms and the fact that it was right on the beach and steps away from dining and live music. Hotel had everything--pool, exercise room, the rooms had kitchenettes with all appliances. The only downside was that checkin took too long
