I've stayed here a few times. The proximity to the beach can't be beat. The staff are fantastic. The building is an older beach motel, and it may not really be renovated to some peoples preferences. However, you really can't find a better combo of price and features. I recommend this for a comfortable stay at a great location.

The location of the Dolphin Hollywood Hotel cannot be beat. It is just one building from the Hollywood Broadwalk and the beach. The hotel offers parking for a very reasonable fee. Our room was large and included a full kitchen. The kitchen included dishes, silverware, glasses and mugs, along with some bowls and pans. Our room had a new microwave oven, a toaster, a coffee pot, a large refrigerator, and a stove with oven. The bathroom had a nice, large shower. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. The room was supplied with a broom to clean up sand and an iron and ironing board. They have a washer and dryer available at a reasonable price for guests. They offer maid service on a schedule. We saw no interior bugs in our room. More lighting would help in the kitchen. It could also benefit from some of the basics for cooking, like salt and pepper. The bathroom could benefit from laydown space for supplies and a power outlet for the hair dryer/curler. Alternatively, a mirror near an outlet in the bedroom could solve this problem. The bathroom also suffered from peeling paint and there was no stopper for the sink. I would have loved a wash line in the shower. Given the location, I was happy to overlook these items, but be aware that this is an older hotel in a hot and humid climate.

It was just right. Convenient location and so close to the beach and boardwalk. The shower area was too small and the shower head was not stable and kept moving.

This place is not clean. Rust on the fridge and shower has not been renovated in decades. Kitchen utensils are rusty as well.

Tv did not function. Ceiling leak causing blistering paint and cracks with mold looking stains.

This will be the last time I stay here, it was our go to place. Never again! Sheets were dirty, smelly and had hair and what looked like semen stains. Disgusting!!!!!! Felt unsafe since windows were unlocked. Towels were stained and just looked dirty. Dead flies stuck to blinds. Just an overall disappointed. I understand maintenance issues but cleaning should not be an issue specially sheets and towels for guests.

Convenience to the beach and Susan who checked us in was very nice. This was our 5th stay at Hollywood Beach and this stay by far was the most disappointing. There was a long hair on the pillow and a black stain on the sheets when we pulled back the covers. There was blonde hair in the drain in the shower. The neck of the shower head was coming out of the wall. The towels were very old barely white and had yellow stains on them as well. There were only 2 small baths towels which we used when went to the beach before dinner so we had no clean towels to use for a shower in the morning and couldn’t get more that night. I had to go to the front desk to get more and it didn’t open until 10. I was very disappointed because the reviews and score were very high at a 8.4 and to me it should have been a 5. I should’ve taken pictures of the issues. Next time I will.

This place is excellent! We stayed as a family with three children, and the apartment was very spacious and extremely clean. Everything looked new. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the water and restaurants. Yet quiet and peaceful. There is convenient on-site parking, and communication with the host was wonderful (we arrived late and were able to access the apartment easily using the instructions that were sent to us). We wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to leave in time for our flight. It’s only a 10-minute drive to Fort Lauderdale Airport. Nothing

The location is fantastic! Just a few steps from the beach. Susan was exceptional! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and pleasurable stay. Property is well kept however, the bathroom shower can use a refinishing and newer towels, would also be appreciated.

Our 2nd stay here. Great location/safe area on the boardwalk, a short walk to entertainment/food/bars. Staff is fantastic and quick when you ask for additional items. They were quick to respond to check-in questions. Clean rooms and outside is maintained well. Dolphin offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation at a very reasonable rate. Will be back next year.

While some units have been remodeled, others needed to be badly! We were in unit 5, and it was the worst shower I've ever used. However - the location of the Dolphin and the hotel and staff itself were great. I will stay there again, but will be sure to request an updated room.

We couldn’t get into our room because we didn’t know there were two doors. The person in the office was continuously hammering on the wall while we were trying to nap. $75 charge in case damage when no one even told us about this. Over all we were not pleased and won’t be staying there again. When we finally were able to get in the front door was unlocked and we found someone laying on the couch asleep. They got up and left. Didn’t feel safe at all and neither did my wife

The proximity to the beach was EVERYTHING. It is a little run down, but it felt clean and comfortable, and I loved that I could do my laundry ($2 in quarters to run the dryer). The office staff was wonderful!

I loved everything about the property. It was close to the beach/walking distance. near shops, restaurants, and 10 min Uber ride to Walmart.

TV did not work no hot water Air Conditioner not working properly had to leave early because i could not stay under those conditions lost my anniversary week end had to drive back to Orlando at night .This place ruined everything for us and no one to speak to to complain

The hotel was walking distance from the beach and boardwalk, which was bustling with activity. It was a great place to walk, shop if necessary, and find an assortment of food to eat. Very fun!

We have stayed here many times. The rooms are always very clean. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. Convenient walk to beach and everything else along the Broadwalk.

Area felt safe. Pretty quiet. Saw a cockroach in the office when we were checking in. Room seemed pretty clean. Bathroom is pretty old. Office is not necessarily open during office hours. Great area near beach and boardwalk so it was worth it for the night.

Came in on motorcycles 4 us took 3 rooms parked all the bikes in one parking spot and believe we were charge $10 a bike but can’t confrim due to staff leaving after we checked in and got on receipt. Staff used passkey to come into room without knocking or announcing themselves. Would not recommend due to this atrocious intrusion. My mother was changing in room when staff member came in.

Kitchen sink did not work as the drain came loose. Not a big deal, things happen. The mgr calked me and texted me 2x and said the plumber would be there to fix the problem but then we found out they expected us to wait for him and let him in. We are on vacation!! We regused. We said we wouldnt use the sink no big deal. Then the plumber showed up at 830 at night wanting to come in the room, did i say he showed up with a strange looking partner? After 6 calls and repeated texts about this drain problem. We are on vacation.. not our problem!! I had to block them so they would leave us alone. We refused to let anyone in the room at 830 pm at night. Ridiculous!

Water pressure was non existent. There were no outlets for electricity in the bathroom. could not use blow dryer or curling iron. Had to blow dry hair in kitchen with no mirrors. Unacceptable.

Wow! You open your door and the boardwalk/beach is almost a football throw away. Absolutely unreal views at sunrise. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We loved our stay and if I'm ever in the Miami area, this place will be a must.

The room was nice. The bed was a bit firmer than what I'm used to, but I slept fine. The little kitchenette was great, and we were able to have breakfast in the room, which saved some money. The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze, You had to shut the door to get to the shower. It would have been nice to have a niche or some shelves to put toiletries, but we made do. The staff were very nice. When we arrived to our room, we didn't have any towels, and they rectified that right away. They were also able to give us a later checkout and watch our bikes on our last day there. The only real issue we had was that the room had a constant trail of sugar ants. If we left any food out, they were all over it. It was a bit annoying but it didn't prevent us from enjoying our vacation. All in all, we had a great time! :-)

I don’t stay here for amenities. The best amenity is the staff who is kind, caring, and they know you’re just going to the beach and the restaurants and surfing and for icecream. Dolphin never disappoints. It’s not luxury but it’s so very solid and that’s because of the people that run it. Thank you once again.

Great service. We got in early from our cruise ship and we were able to put all our luggage in the office while we walked on the beach. They also had our room cleaned early for an earlier check in. Great space. The layout worked awesome for my husband, son, mother, and I. Kitchenette was convenient as well as location of the hotel.

Looks just like the pictures! Obviously an older property but well-maintained and loved. My husband is very particular about hotels but he thought this one was fantastic also. Parking was a bit limited, but we were lucky enough to arrive as someone was leaving so we got that spot. Maybe there's another lot somewhere that we didn't know about? But a very easy walk to the beach, shower was hot, beds were comfortable. The hotel got in touch via email and text a couple days out to make arrival plans, and we were arriving after office hours and returned the key to a box so we never actually saw any employees but had a number to call if we had a problem. We had no problems.

I didn’t realize we’d be as close to the beach as we were. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Parking was not an issue. The shower took a minute to warm up but I can’t complain. Everything was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and will be back! This is our new go-to place when we are in the area.

We liked the location. the door code did not work and the check-in person was not quite attentive with the code & when we discussed the parking we paid for. I went to check-out at 10:30 AM but no-ones was there so I had to drop the key off in a box.

Great location steps to the beach, available chairs to bring down, friendly service, comfortable bed. We didn’t cook but kitchenette was nice and updated bathroom. Parking is convenient and only $10 a day, though tight as someone backed into my car. Pillows, blinds and entry lock are in need of replacing.

The room was relatively nice. Was clean although it reeked of a very strong cleaning product. Needed to keep the door open for a couple hours to air out. Thank god no lizards came in! AC worked well. Just a couple small maintenance issues. Tile was cracked in the shower and a small piece was missing causing mold on the other side of the wall/floor. Also, the towel bar in the bathroom was missing. Just one of the brackets was there. hotel was in a great location and room was one of the cheaper ones in the area.

Office not open our entire stay, didn’t know where to park, urine smell outside, way too strong cleaning solution smell inside, old and run down, dirty, rusty, broken, iron didn’t work. Did not feel safe at night. No answer on phone and response time to email was lengthy when we were there and office was not open. Very limited office hours. No instructions on how to check out or where to park.

Very nice, clean, coffee provided, very close to the Beach, friendly desk clerk. Be prepared to arrive by 4:00 in order to be provided with a key. Else, you may have to struggle to get the keypad to the door to work properly to be able to enter your unit.

The room was not clean and the and the door locks did not seem safe. We left that hotel and got a new room at the Marriott.

This property does not look like the photos look. It was dirty, beds were not comfortable. There was a missing door in the bedroom, hair all in the bathroom and the outlet covers were missing in the living room area. Will not stay again.

Room was very clean, however the bathroom had no ventilation at all. An odor was coming from the shower drain which at times was undesirable.

Location is prime. Room was clean.

The property is old but we’ll maintained and it was very clean.

Pros: the room was clean; the staff was friendly; the fully equipped kitchen area; ceiling fans; price. Cons: AC was weak even in the coldest mode and too noisy - impossible to sleep with AC On; light switch behind the bathroom door - I mean I have to open the door towards inside, walk around the door and find the light switch there; paint in the bathroom peeled which looked ugly; fridge door was not closing tight, letting air come in, causing water condensation on everything inside.

I did not like that the room door did not have a door knob inside to pull door completely closed. This bothered me a lot. The TV did not work at all. The Ac was leveled with the height of the bed and it blew air on my face made it difficult to sleep i woke up everyday with a sinus headache.

Location was convenient for our stay. There are small alley-type street around us and it can get noisy with occasional motorcycles and cars blaring loud music. Not constantly, but on a weekend, you will hear them 2-3x per hour in the evening till about midnight. Its is a very relaxed atmosphere. Most of your dining will be to your right from facing the beach if you are walking the boardwalk. The boardwalk felt safe. Saw law enforcement/ 2 police parked and out visiting/ present. Would stay again.

this spot is adorable and has all the necessities. Don’t think luxury. Think basic for when youre gonna be on the beach the whole time. Right next to the boardwalk. Cute shops and food near by. Liquor store around the block. We went out most nights to brickell about 30min with traffic. I’ll be back

Close to the beach it was quiet and safe

I have been going there for the last 10 years between 5 to 8 times a year already 4 times this year very nice location rooms are nice requires more amenities, use y to have a barbecue grill that at the end fell apart my recommendation is to again install a barbecue grill.

Need to add a BBQ Grill again as prior to the COVID

Steps away from the boardwalk and beach but towards the quieter end which we loved. Great size room and very clean. However, no handle on the room door, have to pull it closed using the deadbolt, kitchen lightbulb not working, shower floor pitched incorrectly where water pools when showering and no outlet or sink space in the bathroom, no shelf or bench in shower to place items.

Management was super helpful and let us drop off our luggage even though we were there several hours before check in. For the price, this property is a gem. Double beds with living room and kitchen for less than we could have stayed at even the cheapest hotel. Didn't even need to rent a car, can walk to all the restaurants and the beach from this perfect location to the Broadwalk.
