We were only there for one night but it was very nice. The king size bed was super comfortable! It was very clean and updated and the breakfast was good. We would stay there again.

Clean, comfy room walking distance from everything we wanted to do. Staff was very sweet. I was confused by the listing on here saying, "Free buffet breakfast on weekend mornings"--we were only here M-F, and there was a nice free breakfast every day.

The hotel staff were in line for coffee and we had to wait for quite some time to get coffee with breakfast. The conditioner bottle had shampoo or body soap in it. The front desk staff were helpful and nice.

Clean Room & Good Breakfast!

This is absolutely one of the best locations on the island. It is within walking distance of Coligney Beach which has plenty of shops and restaurants. The pool was clean. Bike rentals available. Free breakfast but we chose to eat breakfast out. The only complaint I had was the matress was very firm but they were actually in the process of changing all the mattresses as of our departure so I've already booked to go back.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the balcony view was beautiful and the rooms were clean. Great weekend stay!

The breakfast was decent and it was in a great location. The bed was comfortable. The employee that checkec me wasnt bery friendly. The air condition in the common areas was not working, and the aroma was awful. The facility reeked of mildew and feet. And lastly there is a door that is locked from the interior of the room but very creepy none the less.

We only stayed for one night but the room was clean and comfortable. Very close to all of the attractions in HH.

Love free breakfast, convenient location not far from beach, they offer shuttle services to the beach or wherever you need to go in the vicinity. Pool was nice, not over crowded. I would stay here again! We brought our dog with us and the original room I booked had 2 queen beds and a sofa bed and when we checked in we were told we had to downgrade to just 2 queens on the first floor because that’s where all the pets are kept. I wish we knew sooner because we would have planned to bring an air mattress since we had two teenagers with us.

The shower nozzle was jacked up and there is now wat that housekeeping wouldn’t notice this when cleaning.

Nice facility in a great location. Walking distance to beach and shops at Coligny. Staff was excellent, especially Sonia , who was extremely helpful and quite the character herself. I would definitely recommend.

The room had a smell of a dirty wet mop. The carpets were either laundered and not properly dried or the previous occupants caused the carpet to be wet. Additionally the AC did not work properly and continuously turned off, had to manually turn it back on every couple of hours.

Upon entry into my room, noticeable musky smell like dingy old wer basement. Had to open door for several hours to get the stanky smell out. Very dated room. No sound insulation at all so you can hear all noises, talking, foot steps etc. Room cleanliness or entire common area, very clean. Would not recommend. Pay more to stay elsewhere next time.

The exhaust vent in the hallway on the fourth floor is extremely noisy! Handheld shower handle was a low quality product. The omlets for breakfast were not very good. Enjoyed the automated brewed coffee in the breakfast area, it was very good. However, the coffee served in the lobby was terrible. The desk clerk said I am not eligible for IHG points since I made my reservation through Expedia.

Had a problem with the door lock on check in. Then th3 bathroom door was accidentally locked with Noone in it. When I called it took hours for someone to come open it. Had to go to the bathroom downstairs.

We got there around 5pm on 5/1 and soon found out there was no hot water! My wife had to take a cold shower. I could not take a hot shower until mid day on 5/2. I would like a partial refund please.

I DID NOT LIKE THE EXTRA $10.00 CHARGE I HAD ON MY BANK STATEMENT FOR PARKING. I thought the breakfast room could have been laid out a little better. I guess I have become spoiled to the Best Western's that I have stayed at. The price for a one night stay and the view from my window wasn't that great either (Room 326.)

Terrible!!!!!!! No hot water and no help what so ever. Asked kindly for compensation for the inconvenience and nothing. Apparently it’s my problem. Not being able to take a shower and how they are cleaning linen and the kitchen with cold water doesn’t sound very sanitary to me.

At first, I was very impressed with this hotel, but then I got to my room, and about 30 minutes later, a roach was crawling on the wall. You would think, after spending over 300 on a room, that would be the least of your problems. I decided I wanted to take a bath, and the stopper would work. I was very disappointed in this hotel.

I also enjoyed that we could rent bikes from the property instead of having to go somewhere else to rent them The ladies at the bike rental stand were extremely friendly! I asked if I could leave one day early because my husband hurt his shoulder. The woman at the desk said yes and there would be no charge for the last day. If there would be a charge we would stay. I got my receipt and I was charged $100.00 more for our second day! We want to go back next year but will look for another place to stay. Breakfast was good and pool area was nice. Hallway rug was very dirty. Place was convenient to restaurants, shops and beach.

Parking was terrible , we had to pay $10 a day but also had to park in the grass due to no spaces available …. The rooms were nice but barely any room to walk with how crowded everything was …”claustrophobic” , it was only a 5-10 min walk to Coligny Public Beach Access which was amazing !!

We enjoyed our experience for the most part. Front desk Staff were friendly and helpful. However, we had a leak coming from the ceiling in our bathroom. We called maintenance and a gentleman who didn’t speak English at all came up to the room. He pulled the light fixture down and there was water all in there. He Google translated and told us he was going to check upstairs. He NEVER came back and no one from the front desk called to let us know what was going on. We saw him in the hall later and he just said no English and walked away. The next day (yes, they still never contacted us), we were checking out. I informed the front desk and they apologized and said they would close off the room. I find it crazy that the let us stay in there with that leak but now are closing the room. Anyway, other than that it was OK.

Location Staff member was rude and put a hold on my card for several hundred dollars when I already pre paid in full.

My only gripe was the laundry. I couldnt get the dryer to work. I called the front desk and they said they would send soneone to help. I waited outside for 15 minutes and no one ever came. So i haf to go to the 2nd floor to dry

Internet was decently fast, the reason to staying here is all about location. The location is amazing.

Breakfast Buffet as expected. The Coffee machine could run a bit faster. Clicking through the menu of the machine for a regular coffee takes more time and creates an impatient line. The appliances need to be cleaned regularly. The washing machine needed a good wipe around the seal before it could be used.

Rooms are dated. The pull-out couch was blocked by the A/C and heating unit so couldn’t be used as a pull-out bed.

The front desk staff was helpful when we wanted to stay an extra night.

Getting into or back to the hotel 10pm or later, parking is tricky. There's some garage parking spots, some paved spots with lines around the front, a few handicap spots and EV ports, but the overflow into the back is gravel without anything to really guide people on distance between cars. Be cautious and ask the front desk if you find yourself in a predicament or can't find a spot.

The room was clean and there was not a lot of pressure to skip housekeeping, which I found refreshing. The breakfast room was small, unorganized, and chaotic. I went there once and walked out within 5 minutes. Usually hotels have these rooms laid out well so that it flows better, but this room was inadequate for the crowds that were coming through. I also didn't care for the decor in the hallways. It was dark and depressing. The rooms themselves were very nice, though.

The parking was horrible! They charged 10 dollars a day to park and there was never anywhere to park. We stayed a week and I couldn’t give my toddler a bath because the bathtub drain was broke. One of the front desk girls was rude everytime I spoke to her. Definitely will not be returning

Nice place for family vacation

My particular room had a strong moldy/musty smell. I was on the first floor and it was very loud. I left before breakfast was served so can't comment on that. Unfortunately, there was an incident that involved a fire truck and several police cars that occurred late at night which was disruptive and concerning. The front desk clerk though very nice and accommodated me with an early check in was deathly sick and should have been home. I am a cancer patient and have a weak immune system. My toilet was running as well which I could hear all night. Over priced for what you get.

The staff were friendly, kind and patient. The hotel was, neat and orderly. But, we were disappointed in how old the building was. The showerhead had a lot of corrosion on it. The shower handle could be turned either direction to be turned on or off. The toilet was not stable, so when sitting down on the seat, there would be movement. It was not what we expected.

The halls were opened to the outside so it was very cold walking to and from the room. The room was very tiny and cramped.

THIS FACILITY COULD DO WITH A BETTER PARKING AREA. FORTUNATELY THE STAFF TOLD US THAT WE COULD PARK IN THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARKING THAT WAS AVAILABLE. MY WIFE HAS TROUBLE WALKING AND THERE WERE NO HANDICAPPED SPOTS AVAILABLE.

The location is absolutely perfect. The free breakfast is pretty darn tasty! Lots of items to choose from daily. The pool was heated which was so nice in March! The property is close to everything. 5 min walk to beach, shops and restaurants. You can rent bikes at the property as well. I would def go back for the price and the amenities.

This is an express hotel, but they were very welcoming, It seemed to be updated, and it's very clean. We were quite satisfied with our room. The pool area was very very nice. Easy walking to Coligny Park. Absolutely would recommend.

That’s too early to disturb guests. Today the loud banging was even louder today as if to rush guests out. Other than that it was a great experience! I would highly recommend and would stay again.

Great location! Friendly staff and clean property. Only 4 stars because we were sandwiched between three rooms who had barking dogs. For any stay in the future I would recommend requesting a room that is not near guests with dogs. Otherwise great stay!

The room had a few things that needed attention, such as a night stand between the two beds that was coming out of the wall to the point where I had a hard time keeping my phone on it without it falling off, and the bathroom toilet paper holder being unhinged, as well as the towel holder. I shared that with the front desk when checking out so unsure if they acted on it.

The staff is spectacular. My whole family loved the proximity to the beach and a park. They have a spacious well-stocked breakfast every morning as well.

It was a very clean room and so is the rest of the hotel. Good location too! Having breakfast included was a nice touch.

Room was clean and front desk woman was very nice. Beds were hard as rocks and very uncomfortable. If you like the smell of weed, this is the place for you. All day and night the folks under us filled our room with the aroma. Walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. I got to know my neighbors bathroom schedule as you can even hear them pee! Breakfast was HORRIBLE! We picked this hotel due to the breakfast buffet, never again. You have to wait for them to fill the pans up for over 30 mins. We thought maybe there would be different options on different days, nope same mess. Some kind of veggie omlet, turkey sausage, frozen biscuits, canned gravy. No gluten free options and same thing daily. I wouldn't feed that food to my dogs. You have to pay to park in the hotel parking lot which I find ridiculous. While we love Hilton Head and visit often, this will not be somewhere we even consider staying again.

We used to come here when it was larger, I guess they sold off part of the facility and it’s crammed into 1 building so parking is crazy hard to find and you have to pay for it. Shower head is not really working properly with little pressure. Otherwise it’s okay place for a couple nights.

Great location and staff, but the beds are very firm to the point of pressure points throughout the night and the walls are extremely thin…we heard entire conversations like the room next to us had no wall between us. Also, figuring out the parking situation in the beginning was insane. Full hot breakfast though! My stay was great. I had an issue with the first room and was moved to a new room with no hesitation. The only issue I had was checking in. I paid for half of the reservation fee to hold the room. When i arrived, I was told I had to pay the whole amount. I never received the original amount back.

The hotel is in a great location about a 8 minute walk from the beach snd shops. We enjoyed our stay in the clean comfy king room. The morning breakfast was very good. Everyone that we spoke too from checking in, to checking out was very pleasant snd friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Bathroom needs updating

Clean but not spotless. I had to wipe down my toilet seat with lysol wipes just in case. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and could nit pull out the other sofa in our second room.

I was pleasantly surprised that my stay was so enjoyable. It was just for a few nights but I had fresh towels each day and the breakfast was included. Maybe not a luxury place but for the price it was great.

The room and staff were great, however when we checked into our room, we were told of the $10.00 a day fee for parking which came as a shock to us. Everything else was great including the breakfast bar served each morning.

Didn't appreciate the unexpected charge to park on the gravel outside. I've stayed at expensive hotels with parking garages and they don't charge you to park. Plus when comparing prices on Hotels.com and similar sites, you don't expect to show up and be told the price is different.

Stephanie front desk attendant was excellent. Balcony, view and location were excellent. Beyond that the stay wasn’t terrible but it was absolutely subpar. Had to park on the curb due to limited parking spaces. Wasn’t worth the $10/day. Room smelled old and mildewed. Toilet, sink and tub ALL backed up. Maintenance had to be called.

Room was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfy. Location was good. It is a few blocks from the beach, walk through a big park and parking lot to get there. Its a really nice beach area. You can rent umbrellas and chairs there. Nice access for handicapped visitors. There wasnt a beach shuttle while we were there. Parking fee is $10 a night. Only 6 covered spots. Pool area is nice. Good shops and restaurants nearby that are walkable. You have to drive to the lighthouse 5 miles away, but its worth it. Breakfast is ok, if you get there early enough. Would probably stay again if in the area.

The bathroom was in clear need of renovation—it appeared outdated, and the bathtub drained extremely slowly, indicating a partial clog. Additionally, my check-in experience was worsened by the unfriendly and impatient attitude of the front desk lady. However, I was pleasantly surprised during check-out by another lady at the front desk, who was much warmer and more professional. The only positive aspect of my stay was the breakfast, which was quite good and offered some consolation amid the other inconveniences. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to improve the experience for future guests.

Area around the hotel was wonderful, room was clean but beds were very hard and uncomfortable both beds we had in the room you could feel the springs. Overall bad quality of beds led us to have back pain the 2 nights we stayed there.

Great location 2 easy blocks to a beautiful public beach with nice facilities. There is a super nice park/ playground for younger kids right next door. It’s very nice. Close to shopping and restaurants!

The renovations are just what Holiday Inn needed!!! The new check in and breakfast locations are great. We have always loved the front desk staff. If I could recommend 1 thing it would be doors that close more quietly. The slamming each morning dozens of times was a bit frustrating. We still love you Holiday Inn we just like our am sleep 😊

Have stayed here many times. Clean. Beds sleep well. This time had a stopped up water line in freezer of fridge. Had a leak going into the hall. They came promptly to check it out and moved us to room next door. Breakfast very good especially the hot cinnamon rolls.

When I first got there I was not aware the hotel was being renovated and the pool was out of service along with the fitness center and other amenities. My family and I were so exhausted from a 16 hour drive we were just so happy to lay down and rest, but then unfortunately we found bugs in our bed after investigating it was definitely BED BUGS!! After brining this to the front desk attention and asking to speak with the Manager as I brought the bug down in a ziplock bag I was so embarrassed to even show them and speak with them they had told me the manager was in a meeting a gentleman that look like maintenance came to the front to inspect the bug and threw it in the garbage and proceeded to speak with the front desk staff and said there is no manager here. The front desk staff did not know how to communicate and did not speak or respond to any of our concerns they handed us a room key and that was it.. I figured out myself they gave me another room when I got to the new room we looked at both of the mattress beds to come and find a big blood stain on the corner of the bed at this point I was not happy and did not feel comfortable staying there with two young kids, I packed all my things and went to the front desk to check out and ask for a refund due to all of this… I still have not gotten a refund or a call as the manager states he needs to investigate this! There is nothing to investigate I brought the bug down that I found in the bed.

Very loud outside our room with guest. Lots of knocking at the door. The linen and towels were dirty and dingy.

When your 6-year old asks why the blankets and pillows are “wet” (aka damp and muggy)… that sums it up for an unpleasant stay.

The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of options, perfect for our family. The location is ideal — just a 3-minute walk to the park, 5 minutes to the Sandbox Museum, and 10 minutes to Coligny Beach, which has restrooms, changing rooms, and a great shopping plaza. We loved grabbing fresh, affordable seafood from Piggly Wiggly nearby. The room was clean and very comfortable, with amazing mattresses and pillows. The sofa was a big plus for our family of five — we were happy to all stay together in one space. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for comfort, convenience, and friendly service!

Water was off for two hours… the floor was very wet, maintenance came, left a blower on to dry out the floor, very noisy & dirty.. room so small two people could not pass… needed a lot of TLC…’M0’ our golden doodle liked it…

Average experience. Property proclaiming they were 100% non smoking place with several signs everywhere, yet as we arrived first experience was a lady sucking on her Virgina Slims at the door. Trashy parents at the pool smoking and vaping too nobody was willing to enforce any of it. The place is rather run down there was no water for about 3 hours one day and some alarm was going off in the lobby constantly.... Ladies at the front desk were nice and we're trying to do the best they could. Overall experience is you get what you pay for this is a place run on a tight budget, don't expect anything at exceptional. Towels were small and old. Room was decent, breakfast was very very processed, didn't touch it. No recycling available.

Couldn't have stayed at a better place as far as location, pool, easy in and out! Staff was always checking the pool and grounds for cleanliness. Our room smelled a little mildewy but realized the hallways are open air so the moisture must be hard to fight. Breakfast has great options. Charged Tesla there nightly. Gator in the pond on property! Bed was uncomfortable but 2 nights we were perfectly fine! Can walk to beach (10 min), restaurants, bars, shops, new playground right next door. Trolley stop on corner.

Only negative I would say is gym equipment is lacking a little. Still has enough for a workout, but could use some pull up bars/ cable machines/ elliptical etc

Clean hotel

I have been to many other ones in the past but this was the worst. The toilet could barely flush and we had to shake the handle because it was always running. The carpet was wet because the air conditioner kept leaking water on the ground. The linen and towels were so old that my wife told me these should be used to dry counters not for people. The breakfast is terrible. Omelets were not fully cooked and pancake maker worked once or twice during breakfast. Positives Staff was friendly including check in. Cleaning or room service came by everyday. Lots of parking but you need to pay 10 dollars per night so not free. Easy walking distance to Coligny beach park. Good location and staff but run down hotel. I am going to spend some time apologizing to my wife for choosing this hotel. I won't be going there again but if you like the positives then you could give it a try.

It was ok for 1 night, hallways very hot die to open to outside on both ends. Hsllways got wet due to rain. Elevator very hot and slow. Breakfast good but room was hot. Overall, just average.

Door lock on room did not work. Tried new keys and worked once. Front desk clerk thought it was just my family unable to unlock the door. Had to call maintenance after 10 pm to be able to get back into room. Fortunately, another room was available but never received any follow up or apology from the desk clerk. Maintenance guy was very helpful. Never received housekeeping service.

Loved the room. The Staff were friendly. The Hotel was very clean. The only negative was one of the two elevators was not working. The wait time for the elevator was long especially around check out time. The cleaning staff and guest had to use same elevator.

This is a nice hotel for the price! The outside of this property is beautiful, however the actual hotel rooms are outdated and run down (balcony, bathroom, etc.). It is also very noisy with kids, dogs, and loud bangs. I also noticed stains on the towels, pillows, and sheets. The parking is also very limited but it’s a nice walk from the beach which makes this hotel almost bearable!
