We traveled to Hickory for a cheer competition at the convention center. It was so convenient staying here. The suites are huge. Breakfast was not the best but you won’t go hungry. Would definitely stay again

This was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. It was very clean, and breakfast was good. My room was clean and well stocked with towels and other necessities. The staff were amazing. They were professional and friendly, they warmly welcomed me and my two kids and when we had an incident of the door being locked by accident, they handled it so calmly and didn't make me feel bad about it. I will always appreciate Samantha at the front desk because she was exceptionally kind and professional.

Room was used by daughter and son-in-law. They were pleased with the accommodations.

This was not the hotel’s fault, but there was no hot water for a shower when I got there. Eventually it was corrected.

I booked on line, and there was no information about a renovation being done at the time. To enjoy a pool or breakfast, we were told it would be provided at the hotel next to us. As it was winter, walking to a hotel for these amenities was out of the question. I was very disappointed.

Occupant in the room next door loved yelling on his phone at six am in the morning. The door that separated our rooms was too thin and I could hear every word he was saying. Just one of those people that spoke very loudly unconsciously. Staff, politely and quickly set me up with a different room. So I did not have to worry about getting woken up at the crack of dawn the following day.

It was in same parking lot as convention i came there for, so I didn't have to try and find parking The place was under construction at the time of my stay and I wasn't advised b4 I booked it. Therefor couldn't use any of the facilities

Property recently remodeled and is very nice. Beds are very comfortable and room is huge. Very upscale finishes. Great job Hampton Inn! In the middle of a winter storm and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. No breakfast due to remodel of dining area but breakfast was offered at the Fairfield next door. Nothing.

The hotel was clean and recently renovated. Walk in shower and comfy bed! The lobby was under renovation including the breakfast area but the hotel made arrangements for guests to eat at the hotel next door which was excellent!

All public areas were closed and under construction and we were not aware of that when we booked. My husband wanted to use the gym which was not available and breakfast needed a voucher from front desk to go to hotel next door. Would have been better to know this ahead of time or receive a discount for the lack of services available versus advertised.

The staff were incredible: especially the gentleman serving breakfast. The rooms were cleaning tidy, and even the concessions were not overly priced. Its also literally a 4 mimute walk to the convention center. The breakfast was fine. Not great, but not bad either. Everything about the stay was great, but if I had to pick one it would be this. Its pefectly fine for being free, but dont expect gourmet. They options were plentiful though.

Disappointed with cleanliness of bathroom. Toilet seat had dried pee on it. Everything else seemed clean. Hopefully it was the only overlook while cleaning.

The hotel seemed brand new and every staff person we met was super friendly and professional.

Liked the property generally clean and orderly . Nice as that’s what we expect from Hampton inn. Bathroom shower had some mold/mildew around the escutcheon plate for the grab bar bit other than that it was pretty good. Would stay again.

My wife and I stay there whenever we are up that area. Just eight; not too fancy, but not a “Motel”. The breakfast attendants are so sweet and the whole staff is extremely pleasant. Highly recommended for average stays.

I was at the property for a tennis tournament and developed a fairly painful blister. I asked the front desk if they had a band-aid, and Sara and Sam went out of their way to get me a few band-aids and also a wrap to keep me on my feet. Outstanding service!!! The remodeled rooms were also fantastic, featuring numerous power outlets and USB ports, as well as a massive television. Well done!

Found out once we got in the room that we would have no water from 9am to 4 pm for 2 days, unacceptable. Construction noise was terrible starting at 8am. Heavy highway noise from interstate in front of hotel. Shower head had heavy leak had to shut bathroom door to not hear the constant dripping. Cleaning staff was extremely courteous.

Very clean and a great location but the beds were absolutely awful . Bedding was very thin and cheap scratchy and mattress and pillows were junk. Even my 9 year old tossed and turned due to bed being uncomfortable

We stayed for a week and breakfast never got boring. There was something different almost everyday. The pool was indoors and heated which was a huge bonus for our boys. Everything was exactly what we wanted and needed for our stay!

Don't count on free breakfast, it was the worst I've had. Watery eggs, gray water they called gravy, and some gray mystery meat. I had a banana that held me over until I could find some real food.

The rooms are in desperate need of a deep clean. Otherwise, the kids had a fun time in the pool, and playing games on the computer in the business center. We stayed in a King suite. It was a bit small for a family of 4, but we brought a cot for the 2nd kid and made the best of it. The breakfast was also very good.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff is really friendly. The Chef was awesome. I love those lemon poppy seed scones!!! I had to take a bowl for the road!!! Tha maintenance man ( wish I can remember his name ) was funny and told us about Zootastic. Though we did not get to go this time, will be back and go for sure 😊 Thanks guys for a pleasant stay. I felt very safe and secure which was nice since it was just me and my 6 year old daughter. I would definitely be staying here when I come back

It isn't exactly fair to rate the property since much of the parking and the entire front facade of the building are being renovated.

Hotel was under going renovation. Some exits were closed and the window in the room was covered with plastic. All of this was understandable but room rates could have been adjusted accordingly.

I liked the walk inn shower. I was really disturbed by the coifee maker being in the bathroom. I also liked the late check out time.

Hotel was clean with friendly staff we asked for linens for pullout bed and they checked three floors to supply them for us, hot breakfast for free wish they had bacon, there was no meat option. Elevators were fast and easy to food options. Is some construction outside for convention center but was fine. Pool towels available, water could be a lil warmer but not bad, unfortunately there was a kids party that came in shortltvaftervwe started swimming and we couldn't enjoy. O really we would stay again, hickory was nice to visit and this was close for the volleyball tournament.

The bed was like sleeping on a brick. The very idea of going to bed and sleeping involves lying down on a "soft" comfortable mattress so you'll be comfortable so you can go to sleep. These mattresses made for a very unpleasant stay for all of our group( 3 rooms). We all talked about the rock hard mattresses the next morning. Guess how many of us have sworn off Hampton Inn--6.

Our new favorite. We’ve stayed at numerous hotels the past 3 yrs of traveling to Hickory, NC to see our son at Lenoir Rhyne University and this one is going to be our new “usual”. They’re consistent; check-in is smooth, quick and friendly. When we get in, the last thing we want to do is deal with a check-in wait or issue and having a clean & SUPER comfy room at a very reasonable price, is one last thing to worry about. In a great location to the Univ, Moretz stadium, restaurants, grocery stores & gas stations, on top of a complimentary full breakfast is worth every penny and more.

Everytime I go to Hickory N. C. we stay at the Hampton Inn. The breakfast is fantastic, the staff are friendly. I would prefer that the make my bed and dump my trash daily.

Overall a very nice stop. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. The room was fine but the carpet needs a good cleaning, as it had an odor to it. Bathroom was clean.
