Homewood Suites by Hilton Dulles Int'l Airport

Drove to VA for a wedding and were VERY pleased with our hotel choice. Family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) fit nicely in a 1-bedroom. Lots of space and very clean accommodations! Will definitely stay here again.

Hotel was very Nice we enjoyed the breakfast and the man who checked us in younger gentleman with dark hair was super nice and very accommodating to the best of his abilities. Upon arriving in our room my son noticed a BO smell coming from the sheets. Went down to the front desk and he indeed confirmed it reaked. Gave us new sheets to get through the night. I asked if housekeeping would come the next day and just change out both beds to be safe and he said absolutely. Next day NO ONE came to change the sheets.. I even walked down to talk to front desk they had it "noted" supposedly and no one ever came.. our room did not have the hair dryer in the bathroom so I had to call down and ask for that and we never got our towels replaced.. generally I never complain but this place is super nice and the house keeping really needs to do better especially for a Hilton

Best was the shuttle from the airport! Breakfast was excellent. Great selection; nice to have the option for hot oatmeal. Great to have the kitchenete since we arrived in the evening from the airport and had no car, we bought some of the frozen food you had for dinner. Can't think of a thing.

The room itself is quite spacious, it looks like a mini apartment, and I loved that it has an integrated kitchen. Bathroom very clean. Well, little things, small details, but nothing serious, should integrate notebook and pens in the rooms, but other than that, nothing bad.

While the room initially appeared clean, there was a noticeable odor that made it less comfortable. On the positive side, the pool area was great and my kids really enjoyed it. Breakfast was decent and met expectations. Overall, the stay had some good aspects, but improvements in housekeeping and basic room amenities would make a big difference.

Love the suites! We arrived at the breakfast at 9 am. Some of the breakfast items like the sausage and oatmeal were gone and no one brought anymore out. There was a line for the one waffle maker. No one wiping tables. Coffee was good!

Proximity to Dulles otherwise very simple The beds were small and the breakfast was terrible. There is absolutely nothing in that area. They charged $10 for parking which is the first time I had to pay for at a hotel in that area.

Close to the airport, two big bedrooms, and clean The staff were so rude. We sent a message through booking to have the shuttle service, and they ignored it for 2 hours. When I called them, they told me they have some problems with the van. Then, they ask me to get a taxi and they will pay for it. We did, and we arrived we found the van was working and full with groceries for the kitchen. We complained and they were so rude and didn’t apologize for the mistake.

The front desk lady was so nice to accommodate our early check in. The room was a perfect space for our family of 6 to stay in one room! The facility was clean and inviting. And perfect distance for our day drip to DC. Included Breakfast was so helpful with our large group to start our day!

Their AC is very noisy. Doors has squeezed noise a lot. Not recommend to the family with small children. Moved mattress to check for bugs and small dead bugs between mattress. I don’t think it’s dead bed bugs but didn’t feel clean enough. Couch was not comfy at all.

The good: -The hotel itself was nice and the free breakfast was great. -The gentleman the dropped us off at the airport was extremely nice. The Bad: -When we landed at the airport, I had called for the shuttle, the lady at the front desk answered and asked for my registration once she seen I book with expedia and not direct she inform me they stop the shuttle at 10pm. so we ended up taking a taxi. -The next morning after breakfast, my son and two other kids went for a swim, they were in the pool for a couple minutes when a staff member came and kicked them out and said the pool doesn't open till 10am. long story short is we could have booked a cheaper room for the layover, but we pick this place because of the shuttle and pool, which I guess we got half of the shuttle.

We decided to stay due to long layover, arrived in the wee houra of the morning and there was no shuttle service to the hotel, understable, but I did see the Marriot Hotel shuttle picking up some guests. Maybe Hilton should reconsider providing that service? Called an Uber and arrived, everything was super clean. I wish all hitels would have enough towels for each guest per reservation info but no biggie, just a thought. The hotel is 8 minutes away, I love that the rooms are so big and have a kitchen and a sofa bed. Looking forward to using this hotel if we go through IAD again.

I was nervous after reading some bad reviews after booking and was pleasantly surprised. We had four rooms, on two different levels, for 4 nights. We had zero problems and all rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and staff was extremely welcoming/courteous! Easy walk from the metro and their shuttle drivers were friendly and accommodating (to metro on a really cold day and to air/space museum!! Breakfast was hot and well stocked…same things each day but plenty of options to vary daily breakfasts! It is an older building but has been well maintained and maintenance responds quickly (even for new remote batteries).

We chose this hotel because we stayed at the Homewood Suites at a different location and had a great experience. This experience was quite the opposite. Check-in was a bit slow. No one was at the front desk when we arrived and I waited a few minutes before anyone came to the front to check me in. I was understanding though because it was 9:30 pm when we arrived. There were no water bottles for the coffee maker, drawers were wide open at arrival, and the walls looked pretty beat up. I was okay up until when I called down to the front desk for an extra blanket and I was told to come down and grab it myself. I typically wouldn’t have cared to, but I had just traveled 5 hours with a toddler and newborn and didn’t have the energy to pack them up and leave the room. The second thing that put me over the top was the dirty hair dryer in the bathroom. It was covered in hair product and hair. I called down to the front desk for a new one and never got it. I had to air dry my hair before an event I was attending. I realized the staff left the replacement hanging on a door across the hall from mine as I was leaving out. A knock on the door to confirm I had it would have been appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located near food and had a nice courtyard. I wasn’t wowed by my experience this go around and I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Rundown with many broken things. No paper towels in the lobby bathrooms our entire stay even though we informed the staff. This could be a beautiful property it just needs repairs. Breakfast they ran out of items every day and never replenished them. Definitely not worth the price of the room and not a typical Homewood

I would say the only complaint was a bigger trash can in the kitchen, especially when there are 7 guests. Also with seven guests the probability of 2 people sharing a queen bed is high so more than 3 pillows.

We stayed here for the last night of our Washington DC spring break trip. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was pretty clean. The only complaint was that there were some ants in the kitchenette. The beds could've been more comfortable. The breakfast area was wonderful, clean, and had a very Delicious selection available. Checkout was smooth. There was no charge for parking. We realized after getting here that the shuttle will also take you to the Metro station. Next time we come we will definitely stay here and take advantage of the shuttle to the Metro and save ourselves hundreds of dollars of parking fees over the course of our trip.

I arrived late and fell sleep on top of the bed. When i woke up i turned the sheets down to notice several blood stains that showed that the sheets were not changed. I tried calling downstairs several times, but there was no answer. I finally gave and went to sleep on the chair since i was so tired. I mentioned it in the morning, but they wanted to get someone to look and i had to be somewhere in 15 minutes. I just checked out and left. I have since tried calling and faxing them and never received a reply. NEVER AGAIN! If they are cutting corners cleaning and making beds please think twice before staying here.

Really Disappointed in this place. Super gross and dirty. Everything was ripped or stained or falling apart. The closet door was completely off the track and I couldn’t open or close. There’s a huge gap between the front door and the floor so a bright light shined in the room the entire night. Leaving photos of how the inside of my room looked. NOT worth the $700+ spent.

We also felt very secure which is so important to me especially when traveling with kids. The location seemed safe and so did the hotel. We loved the complimentary breakfast. The hot bar part changed literally every day and we didnt have the same meal for each of the meals we had there. They had something for everyone! The complimentary breakfast buffet area and dining area was very clean the entirety of the stay. Having the free parking really helped cut down on costs. We ran into a situation where my husband and daughter were stranded (due to our vehicle breaking) and the hotel immediately helped us with getting a shuttle to the airport so I could rent a car to pick them up. The shuttle driver drove safe and was pleasant to talk to. My only complaint would be the pool. The water was ice cold. We only swam once because of the issue, it was clean though. I would still put this as a 5 star rating because honestly everything else was perfect. We also felt very secure which is so important to me especially when traveling with kids. The location seemed safe and so did the hotel. We loved the complimentary breakfast. The hot bar part changed literally every day and we didnt have the same meal for each of the meals we had there. They had something for everyone! The complimentary breakfast buffet area and dining area was very clean the entirety of the stay. Having the free parking really helped cut down on costs. We ran into a situation where my husband and daughter were stranded (due to our vehicle breaking) and the hotel immediately helped us with getting a shuttle to the airport so I could rent a car to pick them up. The hotel was in good condition, but the cleaning of the sofa bed under the mat was full of garbage; and I didn't like didn't clean the rooms daily we had to make a request. But I think they can improve it. And if I stay at the hotel again, the prices are affordable 👍

The pool and breakfasts were big hits with our kids. We had an issue with our bathroom that took a while for staff to resolve (almost 24 hrs) but they worked to make it right with us, which we appreciated! We’d stay here again as it’s very convenient for families.

2-The shower head was not clean and the bathroom has No fan, disgusting! 3- The room was too small for 6 people. 4- When we shared our discomfort with the staff and asked to change the room, they gave us a hard time. They moved us to another room that is very much the same. 5- We've been Expedia valued customers for long time, and we mostly stay at one of the (Hilton) hotels. Over the years and within many locations, this property -by far- was the least!

Everything was great! A home away from home in the 1 bedroom suite! Pool was nice. A hot tub would have made it perfect! Breakfast was filled with lots of choices! Enjoyed having actual plates and bowls! Highly recommended!

The breakfast was good but the dining area was frigid, but that's to be expected with super low temps and the lobby doors opening repeatedly. The king suite was warm, but the other was a little chilly no matter what we set the temp at (it was by the 1st floor exit). Word to the wise- the suites have stoves as stated, but no OVENS. We had brought frozen pizzas to cook and ended up having to nuke them...not the most pleasant way to prepare them.

The desk person checking us in was extremely rude. And treated is like we were children. She should not be working with the public.

Don’t count on the shuttle. I booked this property because of its proximity to the airport and shuttle that started at 6 AM because we needed it for our early flight. We confirmed the shuttle the day before and at 6 AM the day we needed it were told there was a miscommunication and there was no shuttle that day.

Everyone was super friendly and worked hard to make my stay pleasant.

The room was filthy w balls of black hair in the bathroom floor of the master room. The furniture in the main living space was beat up. The carpet in the threshold of the door from living space to the master was torn up. I have never written up a comment like this in all my years of traveling. I’ve slept in bad motels. It not under the Hilton banner. I expect more.

It was very pleasant stay with very decent room! I thought this place would be crowded, but it was way too sparse and peaceful! I love the facility though I wished they had vending machines or more food services in the property because I had to walk 15-20 min to the nearest plaza. Aside of that, I had no other complaint, and I thank staffs for shuttle service to the airport!

The little mini-mart area in the hotel was pretty empty. Got in a little later in the evening and not much there to eat. Staff was very apologetic.

No blankets for the 5th person in my family. No hot water. MGN was supposed to reimburse up to 25% of my bill for the inconvenience. Put us in a handicap room. It wouldn’t have been as bad if they would have turned on the hot water and gave us a blanket. Also would not move us to another room. The lady stated they were all booked up. Also stated their blankets were out of stock. Two days of taking a cold shower.

This should have been a very good choice for families who would like to cook a little while visiting D.C. had it not been the ant attack in our room. We were promised a room at higher floors the next day upon check in but was given a room on the 1st floor instead. That room did not seem to be lived in and felt pretty damp. With that said, the hotel has been very generous to give us two adjacent rooms instead of the one room we originally booked when we told them that the two double beds in the room we first checked were way too small for two people to sleep in. So if you are planning to stay there, be aware that the beds are really only full size not queen size.

I thought the room was nice, but the second night of a four night stay the floor developed a large wet spot in the middle of the doorway. The staff is very friendly but unfortunately not helpful. Me and the kids were walking through a puddle for the two remaining also only one burner of the range worked.

Ac went out after they cleaned it.....room was a disaster....stains and highlighter all cover beds.....other peoples trash left in room....broken dresser with peices broke left on dresser.....THICK dust everywhere....we had to clean the room ourselves with lysol wipes.....the staff was amazing though so there was a small brightside

Staff was great and i mean over the top custoner service, but hotel is a little beat up. Leak in ceiling left mess in hallways over four days I was there. Bed was comfortable but pillows on couch in living room were stained and dirty. Breakfast was good.

The rooms were ok. Needs some updates. The breakfast was awesome. Had a few bugs in the bed and on the nightstand. Probably not cleaned as it should have been. Also found a jacket in the closet from previous guest.
