Room and bathroom were very clean, staff were friendly, convenient to restaurants and I-81. Nothing worth mentioning.

Everything about this facility seems like a more expensive place - business center, exercise room, full breakfast, bright, modern color scheme. Our room was spacious, included microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, closet. There are extra touches like cookies at the check-in counter, popcorn in the afternoon lobby. The motel is in the midst of other motels, close to a zillion restaurants. Even Costco is only a few blocks away. A great stay for a modest price.

They provided a good variety of free toiletries in the room. We enjoyed the provided Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap in a nice fresh fragrance. The included breakfast was very good and helped keep our stay economical so we could go out for a nice lunch! Though we didn’t use it, the business center provides an impressive array of services. The only recommendation I would make to the hotel is to get a longer shower curtain with a liner to keep the water in the shower and off the bathroom floor.

Great breakfast, late night laundry, and the 12 noon checkout. Thanks The location was on hill, so it was a little bit of a challenge leaving. I'm traveling on a motorcycle so when the parking is partly on incline and exit is up hill, one needs to use extra caution. But all went well. Thanks

The most notable thing about this hotel (and why I return when I'm in the area) is how very friendly the staff is! They all seem to enjoy their job. Everything was very clean and nice, and breakfast was good. The only downside is that the beds seem to be old-style coil mattresses so not as comfortable as they could be. Otherwise, very nice! And cookies and popcorn in the lobby!

The condition of my room‘s bathroom was quite bad. The tiles were lifting up and dangerous and honestly, my son‘s apartment at college was in better shape for 300+ a night. This was not acceptable.

The staff are very welcoming. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. The room appeared clean. The king size bed was very clean and comfortable.Parking was great . Location is convenient. The price is very reasonable.

Water main break. No one contacted us to see if we still wanted to stay. Told water would be on by 7pm the day we arrived. It was 11 that night. There was zero communication regarding this unless you inquired. Zero help navigating the mess. Noisy fans the entire stay. No offer of a reduced rate, etc. Awful experience.

I didn't like that my room had an outdated HVAC, it was super loud even when the fan was on "low", and there wasn't a digital thermometer so we couldn't tell what the temperature was.

I wanted nothing more than to take a shower that night, and couldn't. The water was not on until the morning. But, we headed out very early. Due to the water main being hit, the lobby was filled with about an inch of water from a sprinkler releasing water. The staff did everything they could to clean it up and make it better, but the multiple fans all night and in the early morning drying everything was a lot... and very loud. The key card system should be updated. I had to get the card redone 3x due to it but working on my room when I left the room to do things. It was very inconvenient and the staff member told me "if it goes near a phone or other device, it erases the code."

We were put in a pet room. I asked not to be put in that room and the receptionist said she could not change it because thst is what expedia had booked. I dont have pets and did not request that so if that is an automatic booking through expedia that needs to be changed.

It gave options without breakfast and a different price for breakfast. I chose with breakfast for a higher price. When we arrived we questioned the person checking us in and was informed they do not charge for breakfast. The extra money we paid goes to Booking.com not to the hotel. My advice never assume that websites are truthful. I even called booking.com before booking my reservation and the response was if it doesn't say breakfast included, you dont get the breakfast.

It is always a pleasure to stay here. The staff is so helpful. The breakfast is good and it’s nice to find a full breakfast. The cookies and popcorn are a nice touch at the end of the day. It’s centrally located to everything. It’s very quiet which is delightful.

Booked an adjoining room only to be informed on arrival that no rooms were available and rooms would be down the hall from each other. Staff wasnt very helpful . Breakfast was ok but hot foods were less than warm.

Though there are so many other hotels in the area much more popular by name, this is my favorite one. Not talking about the top hotels in the area with very high price range, but between all mid standard hotels, this is the best. Location wise very convenient, has enough parking space, pretty clean hotel. Stuffs are helpful. Has to mention one specific one, most probably his name was Mariano. He made our trip a remarkably one. At night helped us with few things we forgot to bring, in the morning the same gentleman made our breakfast experience a sweet one. Huge thanks to him.

We were at first given a subpar room and requested for a change. The second room was great. The bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful night of rest. The breakfast was simple but very nice. The attendant did a great job cleaning and replenishing food. Someone needs to give the guy recognition and a raise!

Although the quality of our room was decent for the price, it was incredibly disheartening to not be able to access our room using the key card system. We had to visit the front desk over 8 times in less than 24 hours to ask for help accessing our room. While Dayana was kind and gracious, Kimmi was rude and dismissive when we asked for help. Even telling us that “housekeeping has no problem. We were late to an important event due to her unwillingness to listen to the issue and help us.

Hotel is dated and showing its age. This was especially noticeable in the bathroom.

We've stayed here 3 times but won't be back. The last time was noticeably less clean than the first, this time terrible. The walls of the bathroom were pretty disgusting, grimey hand prints, splatters and lots of toothpaste. The receptacle near the hair dryer was nasty as well. The exhaust fan barely able to suck air thru the dust and dirt. I couldn't use the armchair, filthy and stained arm rests. None of this looked to be from the last guests, more an accumulation of grime that had never been cleaned. Zoom in on the photos for full grossness. If we hadn't been so tired from all day driving we'd have checked out. This is the 1st time in 32 years of traveling that we did not leave a tip for housekeeping.

I would give this place a 10 just for the quiet and comfort. Typically hotels are close to noisy highways or streets and don't have proper window coverings to block out the light. Got a great night sleep here because it was quiet and the bed and bedding were comfortable.

Needed a last minute place to crash for the night with my cat Cheeto. They are pet friendly, $25 fee. Definitely would recommend.

A lot of paint marks in tub trying to cover up and repair things. The toilet had paint on seat trying to cover up damage I guess. The hot water sucked it shower. Had to turn hot water all the way up just to have a standard warm shower. It was scolding hot in sink but not the tub. I would have liked to take a hot bath but couldn’t. The fitted sheets on the bed were so loose that it wouldn’t stay on the mattress. The plugin outlets to the lamps were too loose and wouldn’t work. Had to charge my cell phone on the opposite side of room Was a little disappointed in the room overall. Not to mention upon arrival the toilet had a few poop splatters on the rim inside. Yuck

We brought it down to the front desk. We were moved to a better room on the 4tj floor, but had a hard time sleeping thinking that the rest of the hotel probably had bed bugs. Also, the front desk worker had us dispose of the bed bug we killed, which was rude considering we were in that room, sitting on the infested couch and god only knows if they got into or

There was no tub in the bathroom, just a shower stall and there was black mold all along the bottom around the stall. The shower head was messed up and didn't spray correctly causing water to go everywhere. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty.

Nice variety of food for breakfast. Coffee was very good. Well lit parking area. Staff was friendly and was quick to give us more towels as we had 4 people in the room.

Disliked the elevator function. Feels as if it’s ready to break loose and fall. Some of the staff are just there for a check. Some were outstanding.

Beds very comfortable, breakfast good. Decently clean rooms. Floors, corners things like that could have been a little bit cleaner especially in the bathroom but overall worth the money

It was adequate. Sound transmitted from the heavy person stomping on the ceiling above my head. Bathtub had a few hairs in it. Bed was find, lots of pillows was good. Coffee in the room was horrible. I left early, so no comment about breakfast.

TV didn’t work, faucet in the tub would not turn off and the ac was warm.

The building exterior and grounds were very nice. The lobby was welcoming. Our room had dark colored carpet with a few stains, the bathtub had a big rust looking spot in the middle of the tub. Some of the grout on the tub was missing and can lead to bigger issues with water damage! This to me is careless. Maybe housekeeping staff should write down the room issues and give it to maintenance for repair/replacement. People have to take ownership of their jobs and will be a win-win for everyone! Management needs to loosen the purse strings and provide the funding needed to maintain the hotel. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable and squeaked when you sat down on it. The mattresses on the bed need to be replaced but was adequate. The pillows were good and had a couple of choices for the guests comfort. I had complained about the rust spot at the front desk, and while we were out for the day, housekeeping came in and scrubbed it, and may have been painted with enamel spray (?) since 98% of the spot was gone! The staff did mention that the rooms were being refurbished; I believe that was the word? I was surprised there was a hot breakfast since I thought the description said "continental." I don't mean to be negative, but it was just "ok". The sausage was too greasy and needed something to soak up some of the grease. The thin, round eggs needed to be a bit thicker. This can be solved by pouring more of the yolk mixture into the mold. A well maintained hotel should be #1!

This hotel was convenient to where we needed to be. The rate was lower than other hotels nearby... You get what you pay for. The staff was courteous. Updates are needed. Was not my kind of clean.

The property was in the perfect location. Quiet, beautiful, customer service was excellent.

The staff was very nice . The room was nice however the house ice bucket was not changed and had water in it. The bathtub did not look clean and had rust spots in it. The vanity sink had a huge crack in it and the floor we stayed on had a weird smell.

There were bed bugs on both beds in the room. Spent my night doing laundry after driving all day, then spent the next 5 days itching from the bites.

The manager/front desk , Becky was so friendly and helpful. Took time to call me when we accidentally left a backpack in the lobby. Great breakfast staff as well!

The property is new, clean and well maintained. The staff is very nice and accommodating. And it is close to many stores and restaurants. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Was able to check in early which allowed us to get to our football tailgate early. Very well located with many food options nearby. Bed was comfortable and the carpet was cleaned before our arrival. Good overall value.

Location was excellent - right off the interstate and close to restaurants and shopping options. Bed comfort was average. Bathroom was not clean at all particularly the shower. Breakfast options were minimal but a bowl of Cheerios sufficed. Staff seemed disgruntled.

It was very quiet considering the proximity to Rt 81. There were lots of dining choices close. The one issue was the available options to charge your electrinic devices. There are outlets in all af the lamps but they were so loose that a connection was impossible. With our reliance on our cell phones, smart watches, etc., this is not acceptable. Having to plug in behind a chair with the outlet near the floor is a problem as well as a safety issue for older or handicapped people.

It is a clean hotel. Cleaning ladies were wonderfully sweet and helpful. Free breakfast was not that good. But location wise, thumbs up. One night we returned late, and couldn't find parking. So had to park next door hotel's lot. Overall I will say it is good. Ans the price is reasonable too.

Big room

This is a nice convenient hotel. The room was quiet (even though we were next to the elevator). The breakfast served was tasty. The only negatives (and they were really no big deal) were there was a small bit of writing on the wall and the desk chair was missing an arm. I would stay there again.

Affordable, quiet and the beds were comfortable. The coffee and breakfast were good. The room could have been cleaner. I liked the little extras like the popcorn and cookies in the lobby. Also, they had a nice welcome station for JMU Dukes with free waters, chips and cupcakes.

I checked in late and the guy at the front desk was awesome. The room was average and breakfast was average and limited. The staff were friendly in all encounters.

Only bag thing I can say was the AC unit was leaking on the carpet so the drain must be clogged it something, haven't told the front desk but I'm sure they'll take care of it, very nice here...

Our room worked well for a pit stop on our way from NJ to TN. The elevator was a little sketchy- creaky and shaky- and the breakfast selection was somewhat limited. Only blueberry bagels and two types of cereal. Sausage was pale gray and there was an empty crockpot next to biscuits that I wish would have had sausage gravy in it.

We had a great experience. The room was spacious and cold. The breakfast was amazing with a great variety. The people at the front desk were very helpful

The helpfulness and warmth of the staff is what hit me first. I am big on customer service and the staff here hit the mark. The hotel isn’t super fancy but it had everything that we needed for the price we paid. We slept well. The area is nice , safe and quiet.

Staff were nice and check-in was smooth, but there was a seemingly unhoused person sleeping on the floor of the laundry room during the day and sounds of a violent fight in the nearby rooms/hallway. In all fairness staff agreed to come check out what was happening when I called after being woken up by terrified shrieks in the middle of the night but there was no follow up with me. My daughter and I did not feel safe.

I like it so much I keep coming back. The staff there are very kind, caring, attentive, friendly, and helping. I have not had a bad experience there yet. I would like to see the tv's in the rooms when I visit be updated. Other than that I absolutely love my stays there.

Upon arrival the air was set to 63 degrees way too cold. The whole room, bed, floor, etc. felt moist/damp. Walking on carpet barefoot felt icky.

Traveling home from business trip.

Check in was easy and the room was clean. The main issues were the "free breakfast ". We went to the dining area at 9. There were 2 pieces of sausage and two egg rounds. Almost everything else was empty. Breakfast in this hotel is open until 10am. We barely had enough waffle mix for two waffles. I don't normally eat waffles, but that's pretty much all that was available. There was a wi dow over the breakfast area where the "cook" stared at everyone in the dining area. But did nothing to help the people who came in the same time we did. One person asked about biscuits. The cook never spoke, just watched as everyone entering grabbed a juice and left. This was by far the worst breakfast experience in a hotel offering breakfast that I've seen.

First room was not clean. Bed was sort of made, pillows scrunched like someone slept on them, bed wasn’t fully made inclining me to pull back covers and sheets had hair and what looked like crumbs in it. Front desk staff didn’t even question my request for new room. Just made key and said sorry. Not sure if that meant a frequent occurrence?

The lampshades had mildew, plugs on the lamps wouldn’t hold plugs, they were too loose. Bathroom old. Carpets stained. Ice bucket lid still had cookie crumbs where someone used it as a plate for the cookies. You could hear every single noise made in the entire hotel. You could see light all around the door. Stained old curtains.

The reason for the bad reviews is because our room was gross, bathroom floor tile was cracked and loose, people can easily cut their feet if not careful. Floor by tub seems like it was completely rotted through and would give by 2-3 inches when stepped on. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The whole place seemed dirty and staff doesn’t seem like they care about providing guests with an enjoyable experience.

A just fine, no frills room that smelt musty upon entry but got better by turning up the air conditioner.

The hotel is in a great location. Lots of stores and restaurants all around. They have popcorn and cookies when you walk in the lobby. The only complaints I have is they need new sheets because they were too big for the bed and they could improve on their breakfast some. I will go there again. It was comfortable and quiet
