Element by Marriott Hampton Peninsula Town Center

Suites are spacious. Front desk was very gracious and friendly. After a very long travel day, check in and out could not have gone smoother.

we stayed at this location because it was new and close by. The room we got was in poor shape out of three lamps one worked and one had no bulb and the other was shorting out. When we used the roll in shower the drain was so slow it flooded the bathroom so i used all of our towels to dry it up and more. the chrome shower bars had a lot of rust on them . When i called to see if they had my reservation they could not find it but it showed up later on they were going to charge me for my support dog for my PTSD and i told them i will provide the paper work he said i will still charge you. i told them that this is our 44th wedding anniversary and if this is the way this hotel runs we will not stay there

The lobby smelled terrible, and although the front desk employee who checked me in was polite and professional, the rest of the experience went downhill quickly. The elevator smelled like cigarettes, and my first room was dirty, with stained mattresses and walls. It was also the wrong room type. After reporting the issue, I was moved twice, but the second room was still incorrect and the third had a barely working door and filthy bathroom. By 1 AM, exhausted from driving and working all day, I gave up, slept on the couch, and skipped showering. The TV also kept restarting all night. The only reason this is a 2-star review instead of 1 is because the male front desk worker was helpful and professional. The woman at checkout, however, was unnecessarily rude. I expected much better from Marriott.

Most of the staff was very friendly: however, a housekeeping lady wasn't so friendly. The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious, and I liked the walk in shower and the sink being included in the private bathroom. I did not like that dogs were allowed and there was one in the adjoining room that barked a lot. There were people running and talking loud right outside of our room both nights. I complained to the front desk and the lady who answered said they were on it; however, the running in the hall and loud talking resumed about an hour later. People with pets and children should be located in a certain section on the first floor so the upper floors can be reserved for people who want piece and quiet during their stay. I also didn't like that the TV was facing the bed and could only be slightly turned to face the sofa, which made it uncomfortable to watch TV while relaxing on the sofa. I also didn't like the studio style of the room with the kitchen, bed and sitting area all in the same space. The directions for the room numbers where wrong causing us to walk a very long way to get to our room with the elevators only being located in one area. I accidentally went the wrong way (I thought) off the elevator the next day when returning to our room and realized the "wrong way" was actually much closer to our room. The signs clearly directed us to go the other (very long) way. Finally, I didn't like that the only hot breakfast options were an omelet and hot cereal.

This hotel was very clean, staff is friendly, the showers get nice and hot, the eggs for breakfast are good and the location is perfect.

This was our first time staying there and everything was awesome! We had a king size room with the couch, the room was so comfortable! They had shops right there and restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was good. We will be returning to this hotel 🙂

Staff was very friendly and courteous. Tv was unplugged so was cable and internet. Shower pressure was dismal at best. Sink and toilets were great with pressure, so not sure what the issue with the shower was. For $248/night id expect the issues I had to be non existent.

I booked for the wrong date, but Linda and Sal was very patient and helped me get into a room that was just as good as the one i booked. If you are looking for a clean and family oriented hotel around aeverything and a helpful staff please choose this hotel. You will not be disappointed

Amazing! Staff was excellent. I can’t remember the gentlemen who helped me when I checked in but he was very supportive. I happened to be visiting for a family emergency and he wished me the best of luck and just helped me decompress in a moment of stress. I felt seen and valued in that moment and I’m grateful for the encounter.

I have a love hate relationship with the sink because it’s like the sinks that you find in the bathrooms at the gas station and you have to find the right way to make the sensor work. I get it’s a hygiene thing but not being able to have hot water in the sink and when brushing your teeth it was a bit weird. Also I had 1 bar stool and they couldn’t do anything about it. Streaming TV amazing and I had a whole outlet that didn’t work so even if I wanted coffee I would have had to move it for it to work. I only stayed a night so my issues couldn’t be addressed but other than that it’s clean with so much around to do. I’ll stay again.

The hotel is actually not a terrible hotel. The main issue is the communication. I have an issue with billing. I left messages and hadn't heard anything. I don't trust them with my money. Be careful. Still waiting on a double charge after 2 weeks.

Overall ok stay. The issues begin on my arrival day when I received a call that seemed as a scam from the start. However, my original booking was doubled booked could not stay at location and wasn't informed until 2 hours before checkin. Reservation was found at no additional charge and I specifically asked if this reservation was confirmed so there would be no complications upon arrival. I arrived for checkin at Courtyard by Marriott just to be told there was not a reservation for me. The clerk did nothing to try and help me. I stepped out of the line to call hotels.com back and explain I'm being told that there is no reservation under my name. The hotels.com rep apologized and asked me to hold while he contacted Courtyard by Marriott. Only with the call from hotels.com did the clerk say "on your reservation just popped up"! Very unprofessional and not sympathetic. Front staff needs more customer service training!!! Lastly someone in my party is wheel chair bound, and our room key never worked for the side entrance number 5, I told staff this several times and had keys reprogrammed the keys never allowed us access to the door that made the elevator easily accessible. Instead I had to go all the way around to front of building then walk a distance to get to elevator!! Whew. Not acceptable for a person who is disabled.

The location and staff were amazing. I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend new furniture in the living rooms. My couch had an odor and was visibly dirty. I wasn’t in my room often but when I was I steered clear of the couch.

I can’t put into words how great my stay was at Element PTC. From the GM to the staff EVERYONE WAS GREAT! I was truly sad to leave! They made me feel like family. The complimentary breakfast was awesome EVERYDAY as well as the chefs and prep team! Front Desk staff were Super! The cleaning staff was very attentive! Please please stay here! The room I booked showed windows all around the bedroom but what I was placed in was completely different. I was given a room with a view of the street on the first floor with people walking by. The chain to pull the curtain down was hanging from the wall. And the hot water in the bathroom sink would not turn on. This wasn’t my first time staying here, but this will definitely be my last.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I appreciated the cleanliness of the hallways and the rooms. Breakfast was good, I appreciated the fact that they made it fresh and to your specific order. The only thing I would recommend is having juice as an option for those that don’t care for coffee or tea (unless I overlooked it). This was my first time and I’ll definitely be back.

It was fine for what I needed but I will not be back. My bathroom was not clean (left over soap bars), my carpet had food fragments left and there was food in the fridge. Additionally, the front desk staff, one female in particular was SO rude to everyone in line ( I do have her name but I will not blast that publically) . Based on that interaction alone I will not be back.

I do not recommend staying here. I found a bug crawling in the bed. It appeared to be a bed bug. I left in the middle of the night.

The staff before I checked in was rude to me over the phone when I requested and specific room. Thadeous from maintenance had an attitude and made every excuse not to help me when I noticed dust and mold on the AC vent cover. I explained my son has allergies and couldn’t stop sneezing after we checked in and he still didn’t help. Micheal stepped in quickly and helped me without hesitation. He removed the vent covers and offered to disinfect or replace them. He’s not even part of the maintenance crew so that deserves a pay raise or some kind of incentive. The best part of my stay was the view of the of trees/highway, the kitchenette and the ability to partially open the windows which helped my son a lot with his allergies. The breakfast was subpar. The best thing we had were the pancakes and they didn’t have it on our 2nd day there.

The best part of my stay was the view of the of trees/highway, the kitchenette and the ability to partially open the windows which helped my son a lot with his allergies. The breakfast was subpar. The best thing we had were the pancakes and they didn’t have it on our 2nd day there.

We had an issue at check in. And they made sure they accommodated us. They were very apologetic and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. I will stay here again and have recommended others do the same

I enjoyed the stay. My room was nice, I was upgraded to the suite single accessibility needs required. It was a bit tight in the bedroom, hard to get to the side of the bed in my wheelchair. The front wheels kept getting stuck when move front and back. The bathroom was perfect for accessibility. Enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would come to the door and assist with opening it. May look into making some doors accessible after swiping key card so it is easier to get in (pool, workout room and laundry room)

Great place to stay

Housekeeping is excellent and their made to order breakfast is a nice perk. The neighborhood is beautify but not much of a nightlife for gen X. Life confined to a strip mall.

My only gripe is about the window coverings. The shades were very cumbersome and odd for a hotel room. I would have enjoyed opening blinds versus pulling a whole shade up for natural sunlight.

If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Hampton, Virginia, look no further than Element Hampton Peninsula Town Center. This hotel truly impressed me. Here's why: Clean and Spacious Rooms: My room was spotless and well-maintained. The in-suite kitchen was a major plus, especially for extended stays. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room, which was a nice change of pace. Prime Location: The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Hampton Town Center. Everything you need - restaurants, shops, entertainment - is within walking distance. They also had bikes you can rent. Delicious Breakfast: Starting your day with a complimentary breakfast is a great perk, and the options at Element were delicious. Surrounded by Restaurants: There's a wide variety of restaurants right outside your doorstep. You'll have no trouble finding something to satisfy your taste buds.

I booked a room at the Element Hampton through Expedia and paid in full. Upon checking in, the gentleman at the desk acknowledged that the room was pre paid and asked for a card to cover any damages. When I check my account the next day the hotel charged me AGAIN for the room. Totally unacceptable.

One night stay only, so not a lot of time to observe much. No issues. The bed was really comfortable.

This was one of the best hotels and the service was exceptional. It was in a very convenient spot and smelt so good. I would definitely recommend.

This was by far one of the best stays I’ve had in a while. In town for my daughter’s wedding for 5 nights and the hotel was perfect. The food of good, the staff was amazing and the best part, the elevators were on point. We’ve all been places where you wait forever for that elevator. But not here! Good parking and locations. 10/10!

The breakfast

This property although stunning has some items that should be paid attention to by facilities. The living room area had hangers for a 2nd window covering but it was missing. The result: lots of street and nearby freeway noise, plus lighting. The towel bar came loose while we were there. Touch ups on the wall in the kitchen were noticeable. As much as this room was and the expectation of quality matched elsewhere on site, this is an issue.

Excellent staff customer service. Room was dirty.. bed was nasty. Walls paint chipped.

The location is great for shopping and eating. Not far from the highway. My room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was okay.

Sheets were dirty, hall ways stunk, maintenance was going on.

Although the structure looks nice the place had a strong musty terrible oder all throughout the hotel. I would expect much more considering the prime location in a major shopping mall.
