The view from this room was amazing. Watching the sun set and the sound of the crashing waves provides the rest and relaxation we really needed.

Very clean, convenient location, great view. Helpful stuff. Only kind of an issue was the fireplace which could be turned on only by the room temperature control, so you could not start it without making room wormer then you want

I’ve stayed here a few times before in rooms that were in the main building and thoroughly enjoyed those stays. This time I stayed in Pigeon Point across the way and it fell way below expectations. The room was ok but had some cleanliness issues. The couch was dirty and had sand on the cushions. The pull down blinds were dirty and when I lowered them a bug fell out. The window screen had debris and when I moved the coffee table there was broken glass underneath. There were areas that desperately needed touch ups with paint. And cobwebs in the corners of the doorway. For the price point (^700) on a Tuesday, I’d suggest staying elsewhere.

Visited for a long weekend with my S.O. in February 2026. This place was very nice. Our room had a fireplace and nice seating in front of the TV. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful served up hot in the room. B&B was right across the street from the ocean and a block away from a very nice restaurant which we dined at twice. It is walking distance to all downtown amenities and additional restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend and stay again.

The ocean sounds and serenity ! So romantic !!! Our room and bed were small for the upgrade I paid but we loved it ! Service was awesome !!

The room and experience were truly wonderful! Staying at the suite, Las Nubes, was incredible, and I really enjoyed the daily breakfast brought right to my door — such a lovely treat!

The breakfast fresh and delicious, the beach view GORGEOUS!! Secluded nice walking trail also access to beach via back stars. Only complaint is I didn’t stay longer

The cons; Tiny room with no closet. The balcony was only 3' wide from the sliding glass door, one had to squeeze past a table to site in the second chair on the balcony. Very noisy, with the front desk about 7' away from our front door. Our room was carpeted. Upstairs room had hardwood floors, so every step and chair/furniture movement upstairs was loud in our room. No A/C which typically is not needed, but during our stay it was unusually warm out and sunny every day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will probably return, but we will be sure to request an upstairs room.

Breakfast was great, location is great, staffs is very accommodating, hotel is very clean! I would recommend this place to anybody!

Fantastic stay! Can’t beat the location - not only is it oceanfront (you can hear the great pacific) it’s next to a wonderful trail to bike / walk on. Secluded location that is still close to restaurants. Fabulous breakfast and wine hour on site. Already want to come back!

The Inn is right on the beach! Beautiful property location with easy access to the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail and great ocean views from your room…it’s almost right outside your door! The staff was very accommodating and so friendly. I really enjoy the service of breakfast in your room and the food/menu was great as well. There is a 5PM reception with wine and various cheeses, deli meats, nuts, etc. Very cozy with the fireplace going and a wonderful way to get to know the other guests.All these extras are included in the price of the room which is very not only convenient but is a great value! This Inn is intimate and very comfortable. We appreciated the mini refrigerator, however a microwave would also be convenient.

Location can't be beat especially with the room I had with full view of the beach. The breakfast brought to the room was a huge surprise, so NICE!! I'll be back. Nothing.

The breakfast was great and was personalized to order just for me. Made me feel extra special because it was my birthday! Everything was great! I think that because the building is well maintained could use a little air freshener (oils of lavender) to give a more holistic aroma.

Breakfast was great! it was delivered to our room every morning with a pot off coffee, we sat out on the balcony with a beautiful ocean view. At night from 5 till 7 was a happy hour with wine and horderves. the room we had could have been a little larger

The location was right next to the beach so you could hear the waves at night - great for sleeping! The spa tub was big enough for the two of us - not always the case! - and everything was clean and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was also outstanding! Zachary the manager was also great! Nothing.

The room was clean, the fire place was so cozy with that perfect ocean breeze! We stayed in the El Cielo room in the main building just up the stairs on the second floor of the office. Breakfast was great we had French toast and bacon which room service delivered at our requested time. We will definitely be coming back!

I loved the location. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was delicious. I paid extra to have a room with a spa bath. The picture was of another room and the bath was regular size with jets. I had a difficult time getting the hot water turned on. I called the front desk and the clerk came up and showed me the exact spot the knob needed to be in to work. It worked for a few minutes and then needed to be adjusted. A lot of work for one bath. It ended up being a luke warm experience. Also turning it off was tricky and it continued to drip the rest of the night. Not worth the extra $100.

All the rooms here are great. Of course, the rooms next to the ocean are the best. This staff, ambiance, care, food and free happy hour make this the best place I have ever stayed in. It was easy to get to the water across a little bridge and down some stairs and we even saw sea lions swimming by the beach. We had dinner down the street and were able to watch the sunset from the restaurant. Breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning and it was really good as well. No complaints except I wish we could have stayed longer!

From the time I entered I felt beautifully cared for. Features of the room (fireplace, tv, terrace) explained. Lovely wine and cheese in evening, eggs benedict and lots of good coffee in morning. And the ocean views...

Nice facility and nice room. However, we bought a room with partial ocean view and there is no ocean view. The hotel staff insisted that this was an Expedia problem. Also, the room has a window with no dark curtain which we had to cover ourselves with plastic garbage bags, so we don’t wake up early in the morning.

We found this place on accident while looking for a property we had recently stayed at near by. Let me tell you, this is a hidden gem. The staff was amazing, the rooms were clean, inviting, and literally as close as you can get to the ocean without being in it. Great breakfast enjoyed on the patio. Close to the marina for food and shopping. 10/10 we will be back

Loved the whole thing! Breakfast in the room was amazing. Was able to enjoy the wine and cheese afternoon spot. And the location is just wonderful. Went for a nice long walk on the beach.

Beautiful boutique hotel with a wonderful staff

We stay in Monterey area religiously for weekend getaways. After staying here once we are unsure how we’ve never stayed here before. VERYCLEAN, amazing view, updated rooms and clean exterior. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay there sooner! Staff was better than the staff at the Ritz Carlton down the street!

This was our second time to this place. We stayed in the Penthouse that overlooks the ocean. The room is superb and the views are breathtaking. There is even a jetted tub, fireplace and outdoor patio to add to the experience. The evening wine and cheese, warm baked cookies nightly along with coffee served through the day is absolutely wonderful. The morning breakfast that you choose the night before with time chosen, is brought up by staff and is first class. I would love to know who the chef is - because the food was always on point. Add in Reg, who is the front desk guy - who is full of wit and humor - and it makes for a very memorable stay. Can’t wait to return.

Great place, great location, great people!

This is my second stay and it's truly becoming my go to spot for HMB. I love the coziness of the rooms and the view of the ocean and easy accessibility to the walking path. The staff is friendly and their happy hour and complimentary breakfast is fantastic.

Beautiful ocean view! Good cookies. Breakfast was included but not much of a selection to choose from. No healthy options such as yogurt, granola. The basic menu offers only egg dishes as an entrée, although one day they also offered pancakes. Our room was on the main floor and we experienced quite a bit of noise from the kitchen, lobby and upstairs. The bed has seen better days! The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable and should be replaced. After a 2 night stay we returned home exhausted.

5 stars all round as I could not give it a 6! Terrific location and extremely relaxing couple of nights. We were only sorry that we were not staying longer.

Everything was exceptional, Reg was very nice and offered amazing service! The happy hour and complementary breakfast room service exceeded our expectations. The room was very nice, loved the view and fireplace! Would highly recommend and definitely will be back!

This property is located in one of our favorite areas. The ocean view can’t be beat! Whether sitting on the outside deck or laying in the bed at night, you can hear the waves crashing. We enjoyed walking along the beach, eating in the nearby Miramar restaurant, chatting with people during the wine reception in the lobby, and just sitting in the room with the sliding door open reading a book and enjoying the fresh ocean air. Breakfast served to us in our room was a bonus! Highly recommend!

Beautiful little getaway right on the ocean and the coastal trail. Run out from the hotel or enjoy a beautiful walk next to the crashing waves. Great breakfasts too! Was really terrific!

The daily breakfast was delivered to our room on time and was hot and tasty. The wine and cheese in the evening was fun; we got to meet other travelers and enjoyed sitting by the fire.

From Check-in through Check-out the service was excellent. The rooms are cozy with great ocean views. Happy Hour in the lobby featured red and white wine along with a variety of nibbles. A hot breakfast served in-room was made to order and delicious. Our stay was above and beyond our expectations!

Cypress Inn is an outstanding property looking right over Miramar beach. Staff are friendly and accommodating and the surrounding area is the perfect representation of costal Northern California. Wonderful place!

This hotel has a unique location, right near a waterfront restaurant and a pedestrian path along a beach. Very nice location just outside of downtown Half Moon Bay. I booked a partial ocean view, which was almost no view at all. The view I had, looked over a public stairway so I was really forced to keep the one window that had any view closed so people couldn't see in my room. There was a small balcony, but there was no view there due to the trees being dense. Overall, the furnishings are in dire need of a refresh. There is dingy commercial grade carpet in the rooms and dust skirts around the beds. It just does not feel clean in any way. The bathroom was a nice size and it is a nice element they include breakfast each morning and wine each night. I didnt partake in either of those things though.The bed has a topper on it that is comfortable. If they property remodels I would consider another stay due to the location, but as is I would not come back.

Honestly this hotel was great, the only minor thing is I could have used a slightly more comfortable bed, but overall had a fantastic stay. The nightly receptions were great. The cooked to order breakfast was awesome. Would recommend.

We had a marvelous time at the Cypress Inn in Half Moon Bay. The room was modern and comfortable. We had a wonderful ocean view, just across a small road from the beach. The location was very quiet, just the sound of the ocean surf, which we love to hear. The breakfast was magnificent, plus they had wine and very tasty snack food in the afternoon. This is one of the best bed and breakfast inns we've ever had the pleasure to stay at.

Great spot near Half Moon Bay. Our room was smaller, but the fireplace, balcony and ocean view more than made up for it. The street was quiet, with easy access to the ocean. Everyone was very polite and kind. The morning breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Great rooms overlooking the bike/walking path just above the ocean waves. Cozy corner around an in room fireplace, seating on private balcony. Couldn't ask for more. Terrific staff, looking forward to staying here again. Nice romantic getaway. Miramar Beach restaurant just a short walk away . Don't miss out on this Gem.

Our room is nice and cozy with a great view of the ocean. The property seems well maintained. I didn’t see a sngle piece of garbage anywhere. Miramar Beach restaurant is only about 900 ft away. There was no wait to be seated, the service and food is great!

One of my favorite places to stay. The ocean is right across the street and the crashing of the waves sounds amazing. If you want peace and a soulful experience, Cypress Inn is the place to go!

Our room had an ocean-front view, and was definitely very clean. Very helpful staff. The 5pm happy hour sounded great, although we didn't go. The unit was fairly small, and had a bath, for some unknown reason, in the main room, taking up quite a bit of space. The bed was quite a bit too soft for us. We felt that the room was significantly overpriced, although we did not compare similar local establishments. BUT! We really liked the staff.
